The Flower Fairies™ are now starring in their own individual books, targeted to little girls ages 3 and up. These full-color picture books, called the Flower Fairies™ Friends, feature Cicely Mary Barker’s lavishly detailed original art. In Wild Cherry’s Secret, learn how a fairy who is supposed to be an acrobat is really afraid of heights! Just right for the youngest fans of these ever-popular fairies.
Cicely Mary Barker was the illustrator who created the famous Flower Fairies; those ethereal smiling children with butterfly wings. As a child she was influenced by the works of the illustrator Kate Greenaway, whom she assiduously copied in her formative years. Her principal influence, however, was the artwork of the Pre-Raphaelites.
I got these from the library after finding one of Cicely Mary Barker's fairy books I was given as child. These had very silly stories, but the art was pretty good.
