Breathe With Me by Michelle B is the First book in the Heart Series. This starts the story of Caelan O’Reily and Sofia Rose Heart 'Beautiful'. Their story is told over different books, so be ready for a cliffhanger. Caelan and Sofia are friends who have know each other since they were younger. Each has stronger feelings than friendship but neither has made a move for more than friends since growing up. Now Sofia is working to protect Caelan which is leading her to push him away. But he does try to stay by her side. Enjoyed this start to their story.

This one is going to be a tough one for me to review. While I loved Caelan and Sofia in Antonio’s story, I grew aggravated in their own. It was the constant back and forth between the two of them that had me wanting to pull my hair and poke my eyes out. And I found Sofia to be a bit much at times, maybe even a little immature. I got tired of Caelan’s declarations of love in one breath and complete turnabout of emotion in the next.
But in the end I still enjoyed their story and need to know what will come next for them. Of course, since I read Antonio’s book, SMOKE & MIRRORS, I know how they end up. I just want to experience the journey they take to get them where they are now.
While I wasn’t crazy in love with this book or the characters, it was still an enjoyable read and I most definitely will be reading the next one. 4 Stars.
But in the end I still enjoyed their story and need to know what will come next for them. Of course, since I read Antonio’s book, SMOKE & MIRRORS, I know how they end up. I just want to experience the journey they take to get them where they are now.
While I wasn’t crazy in love with this book or the characters, it was still an enjoyable read and I most definitely will be reading the next one. 4 Stars.

Breathe With Me is the first book in the Heart Series and this book will totally and utterly consume you. Caelan and his "Beautiful"Sofia will have your anxiety levels at an all time high. Two soulmates who have been in love with each other for so long but are scared to admit their feelings. As a past tragedy that you thought was dead and buried resurfaces and the walls start to close in, Sofia does what she does best and pushes the one person she needs the most away. As some secrets are revealed and others are kept hidden, this might be just what is the ultimate push to tear these two apart. This book had me holding my breath from the start and feeling like I needed my own Caelan to hold me tight and tell me to breathe with him. These two will frustrate you, confuse you and at times make you want to scream but do not let that deter you because you will feel the connection that radiates between them. This book ends on a one hell of a cliffhanger, but don't panic because all three books are available.

Amazing read! It was impossible to ignore the chemistry between Caelan and Sofia. Absolutely hot! The attraction was undeniable. From the first chapter of this book, I was sucked in to the story needing to know what was going to happen next with all of the twists and turns. Plenty of suspense. Sexy. Well-written. Loved the depth of the characters and how their relationship developed. I must say that this book kept me turning the pages well past my bedtime. :) Wonderful debut novel from Michelle B. I'm looking forward to reading the next title in the series!

Breathe With Me is one addicting book!
friends to lover isn't typically my favourite trope, but it was impossible to ignore the chemistry between Caelan & Sophia. The plot is intriguing, after a few chapters there is a burning need to find out what happens next.
It's difficult at times to believe at times that Breathe With Me is a debut novel. Michelle is certainly a talent to watch out for.
i'm excited to read more in this series.

Oh the angst!
I could not stop reading this book. I curse this book to the heavens because it was all I could think about all day when I wasn't reading. SIX hours spent consumed by the heart break and tension and fire and spark and chemistry. The love and hurt that are shared are palpable. You feel Sophia's pain. You feel Caellen's hurt. You can feel their love in your bones. And it's heartbreaking to watch as Sophia denies herself because of fear.. to watch her suffer through so much in silence because of guilt and shame she shouldn't feel. Their foolish mistakes that continue to hurt each other feel like they're you mistakes. I am not the biggest fan of country music but an old song, Foolish Pride, plays on repeat in my mind right now as I ponder and consider what I've just read. It was beautiful and so full of every single emotion imaginable. And I need to know what happens next. I need to know if hearts heal. I need to know that the guy gets the girl because that guy deserves that girl.

Friends to lovers...
Breathe with Me is the first book by Michelle B and it's very good. For this new author to come out and write a book like this it's awesome.
Breath with Me is about two best friends that have feelings for each other but hides them. Sofia is the daughter of a mob boos with a lot of spunk, but when a horrible night occur it brings back old memories from a past tragedy.
Caelan is the boy next door best friend. He's been her friend since childhood, so when Sofia has her horrible night he is angry. He want to protect her from it all but finds out that it's gonna be harder then they thought.
Caelan loves Sofia but is holding back from telling her because he wants Sofia to come to him.
They love each other but with all the mishaps and hurting that's happening, will Caelan and Sofia, survive their friendship.

Obviously I'm very late to the Michelle B. party, and I'm certainly kicking myself for it since Breathe With Me was a remarkably well written emotional piece of goodness that I was fully invested in from the jump. I've even noticed that this book is her debut, and HOLY HELL! I can't imagine any less than a brilliant writing career coming up. Sophia is the daughter of a mob boss, so she's already feisty from the beginning because of her upbringing. Caelan is the boy next & her best friend, and they have some secret feelings for each other. However, when a past tragedy that seemed to be buried resurfaces Sofia decides that she has to push the most important person to her away, and all Caelan just wants to protect her, so I was set off about that. These kinds of push & pull situations either has me calling names, or hurts so good, but I can't decide which one when it comes to this story. There are a crazy amount of twists leading up to a crazy cliffhanger, but luckily for me I have all the books so it didn't kill me dead from waiting. Anyway, that's all from me, so hit those one click buttons for an emotionally existing ride. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I loved this first book of this series. It introduces the reader to 9 amazing main characters, yes you have Sofia and Caelan but you really can't tell this story without the others that weave through Sofia and Caelan's lives. I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next. This book left me gasping, crying, angry, laughing and loving every word of it.

I can't sing enough praise about this book and the author behind the words! Caelan and Sofia are my entire heart and soul! I love them both, having read the entire series, I just love seeing the growth and how their characters developed! All the stars!

this has gotten to be the dumbest book i have ever read , he cheats on but he’s “been in love with her since he was 16” wtf?? and sofia was just a dumb weak ass character & the plot was all over the place. authors need to stop involving cheating just so they can say their book has “drama” , cringe repetitive as writing dnf the book & author

I have only one question: WHY? Why was an intriguing and compelling storyline ruined?
To love a book, I'd have to love the characters. But I hated Sofia and the only one I actually liked was Giovanni.
Too much page time and words were wasted on emphasizing the sex appeal of the characters, over and over again. It gets boring and when it continues, it's aggravating.
Sofia came across as a selfish and arrogant, spoiled rich kid. She just used all the people around her and wanted them to comply with her will. She has a right to do whatever the hell she wants but those rights don't extend to others around her and that makes her a fraud and two-faced bitch.
There was a good story line, but it got lost in the under current, never really taking the lead in the book.

I'm conflicted about this book. A part of me LOVED IT and another part wanted to stop reading. The suspense was intense and off the charts. The characters (especially Sofia) I wanted to murder. The back and fourth in their feelings and relationship killed me. It seemed so childish. Careen had his moments of immaturity too but seemed a little more together.
The storyline though... Sweet lord knows hat kept me turning the pages faster than an Iron Chef dices vegetables. Ended on a cliffhanger but lucky for me I discovered this book after the conclusion was out.

I’ve just finished reading the first part of Caelan and Sofia’s and I loved every minute of there story so far. Eveyone wants to fall in love and it to be so profound like nothing else but to be in love with you best friend is even better.
All the pain, loss, betrayal, friendship and love this book has it all and so much more I really hope passionflix picks it up because this would be amazing to see it on the screen ..

I can not remember the last time I got so lost in a book. Breathe with me had it all, romance,humor,and mystery. The writing draws you in and makes you feel as if you truly know the characters. I could not put the book down, I was always anticipating what happens next. The ending of the book leaves you wanting more. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

Loved this story cannot wait to start book too, Sofia has had it hard and it ain't getting any easier, but she as still got fight in her which I really like, C is a hot headed aplha male who u can not help but love the chemistry between them is hot. what a rollercoaster, love the banter between them all and sage is so funny, love it.

The first book I read by this author was Smoke and Mirrors, followed right away by One Fateful Night. Then I recently read the new book Shattered Diamonds, but I first reread the other two books in that series since it had been a while since I initially read them. That's when I realized I had never read the Heart Series and started to read them in order.
I'm happy to learn that Breathe With Me was her first book… And I'm happy to say she's improved!!
Not that there was anything horribly wrong with this book. I just found it to be very repetitive. It just seemed to go from friends to him saying he loves her to her saying she loves him, to all their friends telling them they love each other, and yet they tear each other apart again. And some of the writing leaves something to be desired. I say the F-word a lot and it certainly doesn't offend me. But there were so many times that it was used twice in some form in the same sentence!
I know there are actually three books to tell the story of Sofia and Caelan, and I'm hoping that they continue to improve. Because right now, based on just the first book, I have a feeling you could've taken all three books, and made one book out of them if the writing had been a bit more concise and done by a more experienced storyteller.
And she's having panic attacks because she's so scared of the man who stalked her, kidnapped her and hurt/raped her … And yet she takes off all by herself, knowing that he's been very close and watching her in many places??!! I can't really get behind a heroine so stupid. I'm not sure if she deserves to have all those gorgeous and protective men watching over her!
But like I said, I really liked the three books so far in the Bleeding Heart Series, So I know the author is worthwhile!

This book....I don't even know where to begin to explain the insane feels this book gave me! From the very beginning, I was completely enraptured with every word, and I remained that way until the very end!! It completely blew my mind that this amazing writing was from a new indie author...yep, this is her very first novel to publish!
The characters were perfectly created, and I loved each of them for different reasons! The plot was well thought out and the story was amazingly told in a way that made you feel everything they felt! The good and bad, the happy and sad, the pretty and ugly...all of it hits you hard in this book and doesn't let you go! I laughed, cried, got angry, got 'excited', and much more! It was just impossible NOT to feel it all! Intense doesn't even begin to describe all the emotions in this one! I swear to you, I did some serious ugly crying a couple times, but I couldn't help myself...it hit me that hard! But it was all worth it, though, and I wouldn't want it any other way! And the ending....I bout lost my mind!!! Seriously, I wanted to cry when it ended, and I need the next book like NOW!! So can't wait to get another fix of the sexy as sin Caelan and Sofia to help out with this massive book hangover! They are the perfect couple....I wish I could be her and have him! ;)

🥵 HOLY MOTHER I didn’t even finish this book 100 percent yet. I’m more than halfway through. But I just had to. JUST had to drop a review like now!!!! I didn’t even need to finish it to know that this will hold my number one spot as of now!
I have NEVER been more connected with two characters in a book EVER
The songs the author drops in the book, made me go to my Spotify and play them. It let me connect with the scene. FEEL exactly what these characters were going through, what emotions they had in these. I played the song in THE scene. Yes you guys know which one I’m talking about ;)

I have NEVER been more connected with two characters in a book EVER
The songs the author drops in the book, made me go to my Spotify and play them. It let me connect with the scene. FEEL exactly what these characters were going through, what emotions they had in these. I played the song in THE scene. Yes you guys know which one I’m talking about ;)

I really enjoyed the book. I’ve decided to give it 4.25 stars!
This friends-to-lovers romance has a lot of depth and mystery. The book read well with a fast pace that didn’t feel rushed. I definitely loved the mystery that surrounded Sofia. It read like a good real-life friends-to-lovers romance novel. I did find myself liking C and found their interactions cute and playful. Sofia’s past really draws you in with all the emotion behind it.
I do feel that the beginning had unnecessary caps, which I think exclamation points could have taken care of instead. I had a bit of trouble understanding their relationship at first because I thought they were already involved in the beginning, and it left me scratching my head and thinking he was a complete butt who was cheating on her. Then I found out they were friends with no boundaries (which is the part I didn’t completely understand, but I can understand that some people may have that type of relationship).
Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it for your TBR list!

My first book by this author, and her first book. I always love giving Indie writers a chance, and I'm glad I gave this one, one!
I enjoy mafia romance, and though that is here, what drew me into the story and made me want to stay were the characters. I enjoyed the fact that they were childhood friends. Long term, life long? There are obstacles to their forever, and I enjoyed traversing those obstacles for hours of entertainment.
I'm looking forward to Breathing Together!

I finished Breathe with Me last night and WOW!!! I absolutely need more from Sofia and Caelan🔥🔥🔥 This story is crazy and intense but also very romantic and beautiful. There were parts in the story were I just wanted to keep living in this story and never get out of it, it is that good. Michelle is a indie author but it's like she's been writing all her life and she has an AMAZING ability to write a story were you just get sucked in!!! Breathe with Me is out on August 29th so do yourself a favor and GO PRE-ORDER IT NOW!!! You're gonna want to read it‼️
