A taste of life
These were some good starter stories! I would absolutely love updates on them all. The author gives us a small taste of 5 different situations that were all life changing.
Jackson was young and heartbroken, and didn't make sure that what he saw was actually what he saw and it changed the trajectory of his and Shyanne's lives.
Isaiah pissed me off, because you got some fking nerve sir. I can't stand men like him. Disgust.
Honor, girl get with the winning team because you were clearly rooting for the losers.
I felt bad for Remy because holding on to that first love can be a b*tch sometimes.
Keona let that young man love you 🤷🏾♀️.
Quick read that leaves you thinking.

What happens when one decision has the potential to ruin everything you’ve worked hard to build?! For 5 Houston couples one night, May 8th, simultaneously reveals secrets of their past that can either make or break what the future has in store for them all! For some things aren’t what they seem and hasty decisions have led to choices that they can’t take back!
Jackson allowed his eyes to play tricks on him and now that the truth has come out years later he realizes that he’s made the biggest mistake of his life and the consequences are the hardest pill to swallow.
Remy has been in love with her high school sweetheart for as long as she can remember and despite the both of them being in relationships, they’ve crossed the lines until secrets come out that leave them damaged beyond repair 😓😪
Honor knows her boyfriend is a 💩ty person but she had no idea just how 💩ty until she arrives to a hotel kickback and discovers that the snakes are closer than she initially assumed 🥴
Isaiah and his girl are ready to take their relationship to the next level and although the love between the two is crystal clear, the secrets that Isaiah is holding close to the chest has the potential to ruin everything!
Keona is finally dropping dead weight and her secret lover is ready to lover her out loud despite the potential blow back that will come as a result. Keona is stuck between throwing caution to the wind and prioritizing her happiness of remaining miserable!
These were some really crazy 🍑 stories and I’d love an update on them all because Kya definitely left us hanging 😩

I really enjoyed all five of the short stories in this book. They should all be full stories to see what happens to each character in each story. I would definitely read all of them and recommend.

No HEAs, but a bittersweet look into love
A collection of short stories, that felt like moments into people’s lives. Like a snapshot.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted the stories to go on, or accept them as they were. I just know that with the pain these characters felt, or what was inevitable, that they had to deal with the consequences. Whether that was alone or not, remains to be known.
And it just feels right at the same time. Maybe we don’t need to explore these stories. Maybe it’s just time to close these chapters and start another book.

Great short read
Loved this collection of short stories. Kya Montague is a talented writer and I look forward to seeing more. Hopefully, at least one of the stories will become a full novel. I’ve got my fingers crossed for story number one and story number four.

These short stories were amazing! A lot of writers really can’t pull them off but the author certainly did here! It was all show and no tell. Every story flowed so good! I’m definitely going to read more from this author.

This novella had me hooked from the beginning. I enjoyed these short collection of stories. Especially Isaiah’s story ending off on a cliffhanger lol. I hope there’s a part two to this book. Definitely a good read.
