Christian Avery is trapped in a life he never asked for. After his humanity was taken away, Christian has trouble adapting to his new life as a raven shifter. He feels stifled by his overprotective flock mates. All Christian wants is one night to himself. That night ends in disaster when Christian is lured into a supernatural killer’s den. With death looming, a gruff half-fae investigator unexpectedly surfaces to save him.
Ford Benton is relentless. Consumed by the quest to avenge his fallen partner, meeting his fated mate is an unexpected surprise. As danger closes in, Christian and Ford forge an uneasy alliance to hunt down a merciless serial killer. As Ford becomes closer to Christian, he realizes that there might be more to life than vengeance.
Raven Bound is n m/m paranormal romance that features plenty of action and adventure, a grumpy ex-cop and a shy raven shifter who turns his entire life around. It is book 2 of the Moon Burrow Ravens series.
This entire connected universe has included good stories. Christian and Ford's story is another one. I enjoyed the mystery and investigation along with their developing relationship. It was a good read.
Christian's life was changed when he decided to help a bear shifter on the run. He was attacked by vampires and left for dead but luckily the alpha of the raven flock took pity on him. He tried to change Christian into a raven even though changes are seldom successful. Christian was one of the lucky one where the change worked and he lived. However adjusting to his new life with a raven in his head and a flock around him is almost too much for him. He has been hiding in his cabin. His few friends keep encouraging him to get out and rejoin life. Christian has been dating apps and enjoying talking to strangers. One called GH has been very good at distracting him so he finally agrees to meet him in person. Arriving at the address GH gives him has him worried since it looks like a falling down church. Ignoring his raven's warning, he goes in to discover that GH is an inhuman monster ready to kill him. Luckily he is rescued by Ford, a former member of a paranormal police force and a half fae . GH escapes and together the two decide to hunt him down
Ford is half Fae and very protectitve. He used to work for PIU a paranormal investigative unit until his partner was murder by a serial killer his partner was investigating. Ford hadn't taken his partner's concerns seriously and feels guilty when his partner is killed. When his bosses want him to leave the case alone because he is too close, he quits to continue the hunt. He is able to track down the killer who hunts on dating apps and arrives just in time to save Christian but GH gets away. Ford is determined to keep going after GH but he won't leave Christian alone.

This is book 2 of the Moon Burrow Ravens series but it can be enjoyed as a stand alone. This is the story of Christian Avery and Ford Benton. We met Christian in book 1 of the series. This is a continuation of his story. Christian is having a very hard time accepting all the changes in his life. He has gone from human to raven shifter. He has healed from the attack that caused the conversion but he is having an awful time adjusting to being a shifter. Needing a break from flock mates that are hovering around him he goes out on a dating site meet. Just his luck that he is matched with a paranormal serial killer. But just as things seem dire, Ford comes in to save the day. Ford is a part fae investigator who has retired and is running his own private investigation. He is trying to find the monster that killed his partner. Finding his fated mate was not on his list of things to do. Ford is anticipating dying while destroying the monster. I liked how Ford made Christian feel safe enough that he could embrace his inner raven. The two of them decide to work together to try and defeat the killer. This is their story. I enjoyed this book. It is well written and easy to read. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

A great Moon Burrow fated mates story! Christian hasn't had it easy. After being a free spirit , he is kidnapped and mortally wounded. Zack, the Moon Burrow raven shifters' alpha changes him into a raven shifter in order to save his life. Against the odds, Christian survives the transition, but life after is not easy for him to adapt.
Ford is an ex paranormal investigator who is on a crusade to hunt the twisted paranormal who killed his partner.
Christian and Ford meet as the two are caught up with the murdering monster. Right away there is a connection between them. I didn't like how Ford tried to ignore it at first thinking it would be safer for Christian if he just left. Eventually they start to get to know each other. We see the beauty of their relationship and how Christian gives Ford a positive reason to move forward in life and not just for vengeance. And Christian develops confidence and learns how good it is to be part of the tight knit raven community.
A great story in the Moon Burrow saga.

I have loved all the Moon Burrow books from Venoms book to Zacks but this one fell short for me.
I was really excited to read Christians story since we first met him because of all the challenges he has had to overcome. He really is a force of nature when he gets out of his head and finally heals but it felt very rushed in getting there.
I would have loved to see more romantic interaction between Ford and Christian because it would have made for a more authentic connection. They didn’t have a lot of time to themselves because of how much time they spent hunting for GH.
The mystery aspect was amazing but the love story between these two didn’t fit the bill even for fated mates. There was no claiming of being fated mates besides from outside speculation, there was no marking or biting like in the previous books so I wouldn’t call this true fated mates.
That being said, I still enjoyed this book and will continue to read the next ones in the series.

I’m not gonna lie, I had a hard time really liking Christian. He just seemed so petulant most of the time. While I understand he’s been through a lot, he shows little to no appreciation to Zack and his flock for taking him in a teaching him how to be a raven. It’s not until Ford shows up that he starts changing for the better.
Ford and Christian seemed like an odd couple but they somehow worked. Ford is bent on vengeance until he starts to see there’s more to life than fighting. They made a cute little couple. I did like that Ford didn’t try to stop Christian from helping get the bad guy.
I will say this, these paranormals have never heard of birth control. Popping out a baby or two every book is going to make Moon Burrow overrun in no time. Overall, 3.5 stars rounded up to four because I enjoy the series as a whole.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” Ford admitted. “I find myself wanting to touch you all the time.”
I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and characters. Christian was nearly killed in the last book by vampires and is only alive because he survived being turned into a raven shifter. He's grateful most of the time, but has been having a hard time adjusting to the changes in his body and his new way of life that was opposite to what it's been when he was human. When he takes a chance and goes out on a date, he finds himself in a trap and nearly killed by a monster. Ford is hunting the creature who killed his partner, finally tracking him down only to find him about to claim his next victim- who happens to be his fated mate. The story was exciting and I was captivated from the start. I liked both Christian and Ford, as well as the supporting characters. 4 stars.
Action-packed story, hunting for a mysterious predator
l liked Christian in his friend Jules' book, Bane, and was glad he was next up. Struggling to come to terms with his new reality, he finds himself in grave danger when he meets his mate, Ford. I loved them together but this was light on the fated mates part of the story. We saw them romancing but there was no actual discussion about being fated mates, let alone any sort of physical claiming as we have seen throughout each of the Moon Burrow series. There was a lot of action, hunting down the big bad, which was a good storyline and I loved how he was finally defeated. That made me laugh. As always, the usual grammatical errors and typos abound but here I am, still reading.
Nearly killed by a vampire, Christian Avery had been saved by raven leader Zack when he changed him to a raven shifter so he could survive and heal. But Christian is still having a problem adjusting to this different life and feeling he didn’t really fit in with the others. Seeking a night away from everyone, he went to meet someone he found on a dating app who turned out to be a murderer and almost caused Christian’s death. Ford Benton, a half-Fae investigator, rescued Christian just in time, shocked to find out that Christian is his fated mate! They each seem to have a good effect on the other. Will Christian and Ford work together to go after the serial killer? Or will Ford want his mate to stay away from such a dangerous part of his job?
After being saved by the raven leader, Zack, Christian has had a hard time adjusting to his new life. Taking a big chance and needing some time to himself, he meets with a guy he met on a dating app. One mistake that almost cost him until... his mate appears but for a completely different reason.
Officer Ford Benton needed answers for his former partner. He ended up saving a man who turned out to be his fated mate. Things just got a little complicated. Avenging the death of an old friend and trying to protect your mate.
Can these two work together, build their bond and eliminate the dangerous threat, or will they get in their own way?
Great addition!
**I received this arc from Booksprout for my honest feedback.**
Down but not out! Christian was forcibly changed to a raven shifter. He's having difficulty accepting adapting and embracing. Ford, lost his partner, Steve destroyed by an unscrupulous beast. Ford, didn't take the loss well and spiraled. He quit the Paranormal Force and started a life of vengeance. He met Christian as he was executing his revenge and felt his soul acquiring a new purpose. He gets caught up in his head and fights his attraction. Great story of choices, loyalty, love and forgiveness. Fantastic support system, terrifying protagonist, edge of seat execution of a solution. Ms Fern, continues to set the bar on likeable characters, adventurous circumstances and truly horrible villans. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Christian had a tough time accepting his new reality. Things only went downhill when one bad decision puts him in an awful life and death situation. His rescuer ends up being someone incredibly special to him but is he ready to accept him and embrace who he is?
Christian came such a long way with Ford’s support. He went from being wary and isolated to someone full of life, love and smiles.
Fantastic addition to the series!.

Christian was nearly killed by a vampire who was after Jules his friend. Zack the raven leader, changed him to a raven shifter. Christian didn’t feel he fit into the community. He went out to meet a date GH who was an evil murderer. Ford lost his PIU partner to GH in Rock City and was tracking him. Ford saved Christian’s and his life just barely. GH got away but wanted revenge. This story is very action packed with plenty of drama. It includes raven shifters, bear shifters, lion shifters, fated mates and humans. While having a loving ending.
Very enjoyable to read when there are fated mates among the shifters of Moon Burrow. This was a delight since our troubled and newly turned raven Christian found his soul mate in Ford. Not so great first meet but things turned out great for them at the end. Some violence of course and a little angst with most of these stories in the series but we get to see the couple grow and have a wonderful mated relationship. Love the ending which always leave me wanting more.

I liked Raven Bound by Fel Fern. It's the second book in the Moon Burrow Ravens series. It's a continuation of Christian's story from the first book. I was so excited to read this latest story. Poor Christian has difficulty adapting to being a raven, and Ford seems to have a death wish as he hunts for a serial killer. Unfortunate circumstances bring them together. I was so glad that Christian found Ford and vice versa. It was an exciting story, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A hunted and a hunter brought together by a killer. Christian and Ford barely survive the encounter. They both accept they are mates and work together to bring down the killer for good. It was the right mix of action and romance to keep you interested.
4.5 Stars I have been waiting for this book and it was so worth the wait. I really enjoyed Ford and Christian together with their instant and intense connection and chemistry. These two have some ups and downs to go through before finally getting their HEA. I can't wait for more from Fel soon!.

I’m not sure if it was just my copy, but the one scene where Christian and Ford have sex cuts off to the next chapter. Like Ford enters Christian and then nothing. Skip to the next chapter that takes place days later. That was really disappointing and disconcerting. This book really needed a proofreader.
I love Moon Burrow!!!! Fel Fern has created addicting stories out of Moon Burrow there's always something going on some kind of action magic love & sometimes laughter!!!! Thank you so much Lori
