Omega phoenix shifter Azar’s current life is just about over—this life anyway, and he’s okay with that. Once upon a time, he had a warlock mate, one he loved with all that he was. After his mate’s death, he decides to live out his remaining years with no regrets. Maybe in his next life, he’ll get his happy ever after.
Warlock Lucius has lost his magic, his family, and part of his memory. He spends his days remembering snippets of places and trying to figure out how to fix his wrongs. He doesn’t deserve the kindness the phoenixes have given him, and he refuses to leave the debt unpaid.
When the memories become clearer, and Lucius discovers he’s been astral projecting with Azar—at least part of him has—the race against the clock begins. He needs to do right by Azar, even if he will never be accepted as his fated mate.

Soar is the third book in the ‘Phoenix Omega Trilogy.’ This stars Azar, a phoenix shifter, and Lucius, a warlock. It’s told in first person from both Lucius and Azar’s povs.
The blurb is accurate so I won’t repeat it too much. Lucius appeared in both books one and two. He’s Tamon’s cousin and they’ve been rivals since they’ve known each other. The topic of reincarnation is brought up in the story, not just on the part of phoenixes, but also with warlocks, especially powerful warlocks. It was similar to phoenixes. Azar was close to regenerating where he’d forget who he was in the current life, but his memories would return as he grew up in his next one. Only he wouldn’t be ‘Azar’ exactly anymore because he would have different life experiences.
I was looking forward to Azar’s story because he was my favorite of the phoenix shifters. The first half of the story was quite promising. The authors did a good job of explaining what happened in the previous books, even with lots of monologue, so that it didn’t feel like info dumping or didn’t come across as dull. Lucius and Azar also had distinct personalities. All was going well until the two men had sex for the first time at about the fifty percent point. After that, there were numerous inconsistencies, jumps in logic that weren’t adequately explained, and Lucius and Azar’s voices changed. I always hope the authors will improve their writing with the next new book, but I’m guessing now why the writing doesn’t. I’ve read other authors where because they understand what’s going on in their own heads because they wrote the story, they may not feel it’s necessary to explain events or ideas precisely to the readers. They’ve made up their minds that’s the way they wrote it, so that’s the way it stays. Which is disappointing to me because what I see could have been a great book, is only average. Like this one. It started out great, but then 50-75 percent of the way through it was like a different author wrote that part. Too many inconsistencies with left out or partial explanations came across as sloppy writing. Lucius and Azar’s personalities changed too. Lucius became more caring and protective of Azar, which was Lucius growing as a person, which was good, but Azar became more like a whiny and clingy omega when he’d always been the strongest of the phoenix omegas. It was like Azar was made to be ‘less’ in order to make Lucius ‘more.’
Luckily the story righted itself some from the seventy-five percent mark to the end of the book. Normally I don’t like the nesting and birthing scenes, but the scenes were used as a way for Azar and Lucius to get to know each other better which was nice.
As to the characters, Azar was pretty much the same character from the first two books, at least until the fifty percent mark of this one. Lucius started out as less hostile in this book and grew to be a better person. Tamon was mean and nasty for most of the book. He had a personality transplant and behaved more like Lucius used to. I didn’t care for Tamon at all. Not only that, but Cyrus’ mate Bas, was nothing like he was in Book Two. He was mean, spiteful, childish, and I don’t remember Lucius doing anything to him. In fact, Lucius was mostly paralyzed by Tamon during Book Two and Cyrus had been looking after him. And Cyrus also wasn’t as nice to Lucius, which was also weird considering he was hooked on the idea of Lucius being his or Azar’s mate and diligently cared for Lucius. So, the personalities of characters were highly inconsistent from the previous stories. The only one who was consistent was Eggy and he wasn’t on page that much, and Azar until half way through the story.
I realize most readers probably care mostly, or only, about the romance and plot and don’t care that much about the writing. Writing and how the author/authors carry it out is important to my enjoyment of a story, not just the romance. Unfortunately, Soar wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be, or as good as it could’ve been. If you’re looking for just the romance and conclusion to this series, then you’ll likely be satisfied. I wish this had been better written. I give this book, 3 Stars.

Setting the antagonist of the first two books as the romantic interest on the third was a bold, risky choice. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it played out. Lucius doesn't become nice and agreeable all at once, which makes it more of a believable transformation and a lot more pleasant to watch him redeem himself. And he makes a surprisingly good pair with firm but fair Azar. What does have me confused is why an unbreakable curse called "all sleeping not knowing" that was supposed to remove his memory and make him sleep forever not only didn't remove his memory and was something he could wake up from by himself. The only thing it took was his power, which wasn't one of the things it said it would do. I think they didn't think that detail that much but it did bother me.
Azar, an omega phoenix shifter, is nearing the end of his current life and has resigned himself to living without a mate. Lucius, a warlock, has lost his magic, his family, and part of his memory. As their paths intertwine, they discover they have been astral projecting together for years. Lucius is determined to do right by Azar, even if he can never be accepted as his fated mate. They embark on a race against time to fix Lucius's wrongs and find a balance for their mating to be successful. Their race against time begins as they strive to make things right, despite the odds of being accepted as fated mates. A lovely conclusion to the trilogy, tying up loose ends and bringing the three families together.
Wow! This was interesting. Enemies to Lovers...sorta. Like another reviewer, I came in on this series with this book and missed out on the other characters and their stories. Especially Lucius...I think I'm kinda glad I came in late and now getting to know Lucius...because his character was NOT likable prior and he grew so much in this one. Redemption it's called and he did so well...finding his love and mate with Azar. I definitely was cheering them on throughout and hoping for the best...and their mysterious love was a delight to read.

Azar is a phoenix shifter who lost his mate a long time ago. His mate had given Azar enough magic to survive alone for awhile so Azar could watch over their adopted family. However the time is coming for Azar to go up in flames and start over. His family don't want to lose him but they are making the most of their time together. Azar has been watching Lucius, the wizard who almost tore apart his family. There is something puzzling about Lucius because his phoenix insists on visiting every night. Lucius was cursed and had lost most of his magic. He is now kept prisoner in the house they let him stay in. After talking together, Azar and Lucius start to would if part of Azar's last mate is part of Lucius.
Lucius was a powerful wizard from a powerful family. He was never really loved by his family but they use him and his magic to do their dirty work. His cousin disappeared and he was sent to hunt him down and return hi to the family. However Lucius ended up cursed and loses his magic. He has nowhere else to go and stays near the phoenix family. With all his free time, he starts reflecting on his past and starts regretting his past. He is also confused about the knowledge he seems to have about Azar that he shouldn't have. After talking to Azar, he starts to wonder if he is Azar's past fated mate and his future mate. The problem is a phoenix' mate needs to have magic and Lucius can't access his magic. If he can't get stronger, he will lose Azar.

I have to start out by saying that I haven’t read the first books in this series yet. They are in my TBR and I just hadn’t gotten around to it yet but I will have to change that now. I really enjoyed this is take on Phoenix shifters and warlocks. It’s a unique one and I loved the characters of Lucius and Azar. Azar is obviously like the main father figure to this family of phoenixes and their mates and children but he has no mate of his own. This lifetime is almost over and he will regenerate soon. Lucius is a changed man, or he is trying to be. The absolute refusal of some characters to see that at first bothered me, but they come around a little. Mostly because he means something to Azar and they want him to be happy. This is a good story of second chances and people living up to the potential they never had to chance to do before.

This is the third book in The Phoenix Omega Trilogy series. You really should read the series in order to enjoy this book. This is the story of Lucius and Azar. I have to admit that I did find the beginning of the book to be a bit slow to read. But then it picked up and I was all in. I am happy that Azar finally gets a happy ending for himself. He was always looking after others. And even though Lucius was the bad guy from the previous book; he actually wasn't a bad guy after all. He loved Azar more than life itself. This book is well written and easy to read. I especially enjoyed the epilogue and how it depicted what all three families lives would be like. I really enjoyed the last visit and recap.

I've read a handful or two of the authors' books and this is a change of pace from what I am used to from them. This was apparent from the get-go as the story starts off sad and melancholy. Thankfully, it didn't stay that way and the transition was gradual ... acceptable.
Since I hadn't had the opportunity to read the first two books of the trilogy I feel that I am missing something, but I quickly grasp that luscious, I mean Lucius, used to be a big baddie.
I like redemption stories and second chances; this was definitely a second chance for both Lucius and Akar.
I would recommend this book, but I would suggest reading the trilogy's first two books just so that the actions and reactions of the other characters they interact with make more sense.

Satisfyingly surprisingly sweet! Omega, Azar is nearing the end of his present life. He is resigned, and a bit regretful. He lost his warlock mate, whom he loved very much. He recently started seeing his mate for a short period of time and was saddened the time was too short. Warlock Lucious, lost his magic and his memory. It was coming back in pieces like a puzzle. He realized he had a bit of a connection with Azar. He realized they were fated, but thought his past actions made him unworthy. There were a lot of reveals, questions answered and surprises. This says it's a trilogy, but I want to know what happens with the families. Great story, Excellent trilogy. Well done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A wonderful conclusion I really enjoyed reading this book and the final book in the series. It will finally make sense for the feelings that Azar was feeling towards Tamon’s horrible cousin. Lucius has lost his power and wants it back. He also wants to gain them before Azar who is almost at his regeneration stage and as a phoenix, starts over his life as a baby again. These two characters will draw you into their dilemma of trying to bring Lucius’s powers before it’s too late for Azar. There is a happily ever after for these two and a final setting for all three families together.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
I loved Soar: An M/M Mpreg Shifter Romance Book 3 of The Phoenix Omega Trilogy. Azar hasn’t been the same since his mate passed many years ago, he knows his time is ending soon but his pull toward Lucius doesn’t make sense and he needs to figure it out before it’s to late. Lucius has never felt like he fit in with his own family and now he’s a prisoner but he deserved it. Can Azar and Lucius have a future together or will fate be cruel again? Such a sweet storyline and I loved the characters. Love will find a way. I would definitely recommend this book.

I enjoyed this third book in the Phoenix Omega trilogy with Azar's story. I did not read the other books in the series, and while I eventually caught up and found this book to be very satisfying, I was a bit lost in the first few chapters since there is clearly a lot of history between the main and secondary characters coming into this book. That said, I was intrigued by how the authors addressed the phoenix rebirth with the fated-mate concept, and I really enjoyed the ghost elements as well. I'm planning to read the previous books and then reread this one.

His story began a little sad as he awaited his life cycle to begin again. Longing for his mate that passed some time ago, he soon discovers that his fated has been right under his nose, Lucius. Given another chance, can they get enough power to solidify the bond or will Azar be resigned to his life cycle? Such a sweet, connecting, and well- deserved happily ever after for these two. All the babies and big families.
I am truly going to miss this trio. I hope there is a spin-off of some other relatives... anyone!
A Phoenix in need, a broken warlock, and a ghostly presence. Can there be HEA?
What a stunning third book in a wonderful series! Lorelei and Colbie drew me back into this wonderful world from page one. I am thrilled Azar and Lucius got their story. This is a book about redemption, beliefs, and the power of love. The ghosts are back, as mouthy as ever. Old prejudices crop up. I kept cheering Azar and Lucius on. Their love spans lifetimes, truly conquering all. This nesting scene leaves the previous ones on the dust. And... babies, babies, babies. I will miss this world. You need to read the previous books in order. You will simply love them all!
Azar and Lucius story was interesting with a redemptions and second chances at love touch. Former villain gets his shot at happiness alongside Azar whose end is near. Their journey is a ride against time and filled with challenges and compromises to get to the common ground and balance for the mating to be successful. I adored his pregnancy and the bundles of joy that joined the family. I loved the way they connected and formed a big family that could live in harmony. It was a beautiful ending to a story I extremely enjoyed.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
Lucius, a warlock, is Tamon’s cousin who was sent to bring Tamon back to his family and Tamon cursed him, taking away his powers. Azar is a phoenix who is nearing the end of his life to be regenerated. He is lonely and his phoenix is giving him hints. This story is the third and last of its series. The twists and turns of this story leave one with the wonder of how life can take turns and when it seems hopeless, throw a curve that can lead to a satisfying HEA. I LOVED IT.
I honestly wasn't sure this book was for me to begin with. I felt it started very slow and I thought there was too many characters introduced at once, so I had trouble keeping track of who was who. However the story settled in nicely.
I loved seeing the relationship develop and the heat and pregnancy were really well written. I also liked having an epilogue which was further into the future so you got a nice picture of how life went for the family.

I enjoyed this book and the whole idea of phoenix-mage matings being necessary for the phoenixes not to "die" and regenerate. That said, I was confused at the beginning because I haven't read the first two books (this is book 3) in the series. I eventually got to know everyone and some of the history, but I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the others first. I plan to go back and read the entire series in order.

I pushed myself to finish this book as I could not get into the story. I normally really like Loreili and Colbie’s joint books but unfortunately this one was not for me. However, if you like omega phoenix fated mate with a broken warlock fighting against time and discovering 2nd chance love, this book is for you.

Azar a omega phoenix shifter hasn't found a mate so he coming to the end of this life cycle and beginning a new one. Lucius is a warlock and he lost his powers when he tried to force his cousin to come back to his family. Now he has a spell that keeps him in a house owned by the shifters. Azure and Lucius realize that they're mates but Lucius needs to have more power for them to mate or Azure will end this life cycle. I really enjoyed this book.
'“Then where is the good guy in me?” Azar put his hand on my chest. “Right here.” The warmth of his hand seeped into me and melted some of the ice that surrounded my heart'
I enjoyed this book. I've enjoyed the previous books in the series and liked the phoenix/warlock dynamic. It was great to get Azar and Lucius's story and see their journey. Supporting characters from the previous books were also there. A good ending to this series. 4 stars.
2.5 stars. I've 've enjoyed the series but this one was a miss for me. There wasn't enough background at the beginning to pull me easily back into the world. I had trouble remembering all the details and characters and felt lost. The story was a bit jumpy and didn't flow well. It needed better transitions. There alwere also more than expected grammatical errors. It could have used a more thorough editing pass to address most of these issues.
Book 3 just might be my favorite. All due to Azar finally getting his mate and babies, which were all well over due. Lucius turned out to be the perfect mate for Azar. His character growth was great. I enjoyed this series and hope there will be more to come from this family.
Azar’s phoenix was going to burn up and his life restart if he doesn’t find his mate. Lucas lost everything including his magic but then his memories started coming back and realized that he had to help save Azar. Good book!.

Great ending to a fabulous series! Not only did he get the mate he was pining for he also got the family he longed for too. The ending is great and they did what they had to do for their ever growing family. I love this because it brought it all to a beautiful close!.

This has been a wonderful series but sadly this is the final story I loved the characters Azar and Lucius, Azar a Phoenix shifter was nearing the end of his life and about to be reborn into a baby and Lucius a warlock who has lost his powers. This is a fantastic sweet knotty romance and I highly recommend this book.
Soar is the final book in the Phoenix Omega Trilogy. You should read the first two books before this one to get the most out of the story. This is a wonderful ending for the trilogy. This is a great second chance at love story for Azar and Lucius. The whole series has wonderfully written characters and a great story arc through out. I enjoyed watching these two figure everything out while racing against time. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
I really enjoyed the conclusion to this series. This was so sweet and kind of unexpected. These two got a second chance to get it right and I loved seeing their journey together.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked the hope and joy that comes from Azar and Lucius mating and how it leads to new beginnings for all of them.
This was an entertaining series to read and this was a good ending for it. It was interesting following along as Azar & Lucious figured out their connection and worked to get their HEA.
