Expensive Skin
Expensive skin is a collage of my experiences as I navigate sobriety and mental health as a woman, a daughter, a sister, a partner, an engineer, and an officer in the Army. Everyone has hardships in life. This book reveals how I have moved through those darkest moments. It wasn’t graceful, pretty, or perfect, but I grew a lot and I share those lessons inside each chapter as it meaningfully relates to my tattoos.
As a sensitive person, I feel a little deeper than the average person, however, most can relate to the same underlying emotions. It is my hope that as you read this, you find it helpful to your unique challenges in life and that if you have borderline personality disorder, you feel a solidarity in my experiences.
