When a child disappears without a trace during a snowstorm in a small town, Mary must unravel the mystery before it's too late. As the search intensifies, Mary confronts her own dark past, which may hold the key to unlocking the truth. With time running out and the townspeople on edge, can Mary crack the case and bring the perpetrator to justice?
I have read quite a few of these books by Marie Wilkins and I think that's the problem. The storyline is the same nearly every time. The same angry woman who goes it alone, gets in trouble with the law, fights with her partner. And the repeated phrases are so annoying. If I read once about having her child in her arms I read it twenty times. So not as good the fifth time around
When I read the first pages I did not think I would get interested. When I got to the 2nd. and 3rd chapters I was hooked. Very fascinated with details of high end electronic devices, get aways and nail biting scenes. I highly recommend you reading this. I got to the point I could not put it down.
I really didn't like this book. The characters were so over the top and unbelievable. The mother and main character did so many ridiculous things she was hard to like. There were also a bunch of editing mistakes.
