Rate this book
A Magical Degan’s grandmother was a bitter woman. When her daughter dies, she takes the child and hides him in a remote village in the mountains. Ten years later, as she lay dying, she made her twelve-year-old grandson promise he would kill the king. “He killed your mother,” were her last words.

The boy is arrested as a thief and taken to the Royal Palace for judgment. There he finds his grandmother lied to him. The king tells him his father vanished ten years ago. Taken by a dragon and is dead.

Degan decides to risk going to the Forbidden Realm of Dragons to ask King Izingo what happened to his father. However, not even the Dragon King knows the full story. Degan’s quest reveals there are others on Lampala who would kill them all.
Izingo Dragonlight brings an original tale with characters who bring the story to life as they struggle against dark mages and creatures to save as many as they can.

This book showcases the magical creatures of Dragons, humans with extraordinary powers, fairies and other peculiar, fantastic beings coming to and from the different realms and worlds. They are all very interesting to me! I even think this is a very good story for a computer game.

Degan, the main character, has fascinating powers and capabilities. Izingo, a dragon creature, is human-like, very compassionate to its kind as a leader. The partnership of the dragons and humans maintain peace and harmony within the realms.

Though there are a lot of characters coming and going, it is balanced by the main and steady characters mentioned, keeping the story generally cohesive and logical.

The individual dilemma of the main character is interwoven around the predicament of the Dragon Kingdom as its peaceful home and existence is threatened by the dark forces within the Dragon kingdom, sowing chaos, conflict and war.

'Izingo The Dragon Light' is the beginning part of the book series. I assume there will be more grand things to happen in the succeeding tales which are exciting to look forward to.

A fantastic, magical read!
