The most sacred gift that a girl can give to a guy is her innocence… her virginity.
They say boys and girls can’t be best friends without anything physical going on. However, that’s not the case with best friends, seventeen-year-old Raejene Campbell and nineteen-year-old Keyvan Bowers, who have been rocking and rolling together since sixth grade. Now in her senior year of high school, unsettling news threatens to disrupt the dynamics of their friendship, prompting Raejene to make a very sacred and intentional proposal, one that will transition them from best friends to lovers and ultimately tears them apart.
Fast forward six years later, Raejene and Keyvan are living separate lives in different states while dealing with different life issues. As much as she tries to, Raejene can’t replace the love she still has for her best friend, making her love life ghost. When recent unexpected questions arise, turmoil ensues, causing Raejene to question her past decisions. Just when life seems to get back on track, divine intervention steps in, bringing the two former best friends face to face again, along with many unanswered questions.
Reunions are meant to be loving, happy, and joyful, but not all reunions are created equal, especially when secrets have a way of unraveling a person’s world instantly.
With a bond as tight as theirs used to be, will Raejene and Keyvan be able to recapture their feelings and friendship from the past? Or has too much time passed and too much damage been done to truly reconnect? Check out how Raejene and Keyvan navigate forgiving and forgetting in this captivating, emotion-quenching standalone, Irreplaceable You.
Why Keyvan have to name her that in his phone 🤣🤣🤣. I understood why he was mad and reacted the way he did. Their daughter Raevyn was definitely sassy but she is a child trying to figure out why she doesn’t have two parents. Raejene definitely needed to put her big girl pants on she could have found him and told him about the baby not wait till your caught or your daughter is asking questions because you scared she will like her father more 🤦🏾♀️. This was a cute story of forgiveness and finding love after, its worth the click for sure I love reading Riley Baxter books!
This was my first read from Riley Baxter. I loved this story between Raejene and Keyvan. As best friends in high school the two couldn’t be any closer. Raejene learns that her family is moving due to her father getting a new job in a different state. Raejene wants to give leave Keyvan with her most precious gift. Almost seven years go by before these two meet again and a big secret makes the pair face challenges they didn’t expect. One dealing with regret while the other struggles with forgiveness. But through everything the love they have for each other allows for a great story. I give this a 4.5⭐️ only because Keyvan still used terminology that weren’t aligned with him forgiving Raejene.
I liked this story. It gave me second chance love, friends to lovers, and secret baby all in one.
Jiji was blowing my mind with how she never tried to get in touch with Keyvan after trying once when she found out she was pregnant. Then add in her not even adding his name to the birth certificate or giving that baby his last name, I was baffled. She was really moving like he was a dead beat f boy when he had always been her protector and there for her from the time they met when she was in 6th grade to the time her family moved across country. I admired Keyvan for forgiving his Jiji and seeing the bigger picture because that time lost would have had someone else only worrying about coparenting and not trying to find love.
This was a cute story and I enjoyed it and seeing this couple get to their happily ever after and allow forgiveness and love to lead them instead of anger, disappointment and animosity.
Keevy......Lol. Ok so who asks their friend to take their virginity as a going away gift? I really need to know. However, JiJi did it and then she ended up with the forever gift. She was dead wrong for not telling that boy especially if y'all were best friends. You really trying to tell me in 6 years you didn't try to call at all. no facebook, twitter, snail mail? you knew his address you stayed at the house. I digress. Either way it was a good book. Terrance made me sit straight up in my seat. He was doing too much. the ending ended just how I wanted it to.

I really enjoyed this story. I was drawn in and really felt for both Raejean and Keyvan . I loved the flashbacks of their time together as young people. My only thought was I wasn’t sure he really forgave her. His choice of words each time they discussed what she did, made me feel he didn’t . Riley did a great job in really making these characters feel real and relatable.
I didn’t give it five stars because I skipped a lot of it. I get giving the back story but it was so drawn out with unnecessary topics and conversations. Once I reached the run in I was ALL in and I loved it. So I would say from the beginning i liked that led up to Rayven ( I’m intentionally leaving out who she is) then to like 60% of the book when they ran into each other at the amusement park.
This was a beautiful love story that started in friendship!!!… I love how both Raejene and Keyvon were capable of working through the miscommunication btwn them and having the ability to forgive!!!…They both dropped the ball with their communication and keeping their friendship open!!!… Now there is a baby btwn them and they were able to come together and not just raise their beautiful daughter, but love each other!!!…
Sometimes we have to go through things, stages of life that bring connected people back together! JiJi and Kayvean was praying the same prayer, different words but wanting the same ending to be reunited and love one another. Beautiful story or forgiveness and moving past the hurt to live in the future!!
Keyvan and Raejene had been best friends since elementary school until Raejene’s family relocated to OH from AZ and they lost. Imagine Keyvan’s surprise when he sees his “Jiji” in FL with an adorable gift! Here is where their real journey begins! Ride the rollercoaster with them.
What a good story about forgiveness. There is a teaching lesson here forgiveness is a choice. Life is to be lived and enjoyed. Unforgiveness robs us of inner peace and unspeakable joy. In life we are gifts to one another this story reminds me that no mistake is bigger than the future God has for me.
This was a beautiful love story. The relationship between Keyvan and JiJi was spot on. I enjoyed the road that was paved for them. I even secretly hoped he handled Terrance a little different. Great book!
I give this 3.5 ⭐️. I liked this story. It was cute and I loved their relationship. I didn’t like how Keyvan talked to Raejene after finding out some important information but I can understand. Overall I enjoyed the story!! Beautiful cover!!
I love me some Raeyvn!!!! Love the relationship both Jiji and Raeyvn have with their respective parents. Easy read without the “hood” references and behavior. Beautifully written and the continuous reference to God in a humorous way was refreshing.
Enjoyed this story!! Was my first time reading anything from the author and I’m saying it will not be my last. Of course I was upset with JiJi for not reaching out but so glad they overcame everything for the sake of their daughter.
I loved this story. It was my favorite trope. I love how the author did not put all of the unnecessary conversations in the book. She gave us all of the good stuff. I loved how she gave us insights into their relationship as kids.
This was a good read sometimes friends can make the best lovers Jiji could have tried a little harder in contacting Keyvan for the sake of their daughter and his relationship but whee we n you young you make bad questionable decisions This was a good read
Raejene and Keyvan were high school buddies. Puppy love came in to play and a baby was created. After 5years Daddy found out he had a child. What loved about this story was they both still had feelings for each other. Riley you did it again, great book.
I’m giving this book 3.5 stars. This is my first read of this author. This started off good but went downhill hill quick once Keyvan and JiJi reunited.
I always love a good HEA! Keyvan and “JiJi” went through some thangs in order to grow into a mature love. Love will see you through the toughest times. Nice love story.
