The Zephyre Corporation’s annual convention may be designed to let colleagues kick back in the Florida sun, but Riley McGuire doesn’t plan to let anything interfere with her chance to shine for corporate management. Not even the devastatingly sexy guy playing air guitar—naked—in her hotel suite.
Oliver Wilson expected to share a deluxe suite with what he assumed was an amiable Irish-American beer drinker, not an acid-tongued Boston beauty who can’t hold her liquor.
Their agreement to muddle through is shot to hell by a tug of attraction that, in the convention’s decadent atmosphere, grows too strong to resist. Oliver discovers there’s more going on under Riley’s suits than good marketing ideas. And Oliver’s gentlemanly teasing gets under Riley’s skin…in a sexy way.
Behind closed doors, lust explodes between the sheets. But is a pair of vibrating panties a temporary pleasure, or the start of something that doesn’t require batteries?
Product Warnings Please check with your hotel concierge to ask if the handsome naked man playing air guitar comes with the room. There may be an extra surcharge not covered under federal business reimbursement regulations. Be sure to tip the bellboy.
I'm really rather boring... Honestly. I live a pretty hum-drum life as a wife and mother. I shop at the local supermarket and use coupons now and again. See? Boring stuff.
I live in Virginia now, so I am learning all kinds of new things - such as being able to buy beer and wine along with bread and toothpaste. Wow!
Having been born and raised in England, I do possess a well-developed feel for the English countryside. Comes in handy for those Regency tales. Even though I was transplanted over to the US side of the Atlantic, I still have ties to all things Brit. I bake sausage rolls and make Christmas pudding. You can take the girl out of England, but not England out of the girl, I guess.
I'm not sure anyone can write really well unless they read. A lot. I read anything and everything these days. And mostly on my couch with a book on my knees. Yes, the technology is out there for electronic versions, but there's not much to compare with a shiny new hardcover from a favorite author.
Love, love, love this book! It is the perfect mesh of fun, humor, reality, romance, and sizzle to curl your toes. Oliver and Riley are perfect together with a cast of supporting characters for a storyline guaranteed to have you running back for more. I found myself rooting for, laughing at and with the characters, yelling at them, but mostly loving this fun, flirty read that had me wishing my conferences were half as fun. A well-written, great read.
I loved reading this story. A full, well written storyline, that hit every feel in the emotional book. I don’t want to give it away, but, I LOVED the ending. I do enjoy this authors work!!
I enjoyed the lightheartedness that is intertwined throughout the entire story. With gasp worthy moments around every corner, these characters had their work cut out for them - in more than one way.
Another fantastic story by these authors! It was funny, and steamy, and surprisingly emotional for me near the end. Oliver was so likeable, I'm glad he got his HEA.
This was not what I expected at all. Based on the book name and the cover (I know, I know, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover), I thought it was going to be all smut, all the time. :-) I'm pretty sure the blurb led me to believe that at least a little bit. You know, sometimes you're in the mood for one of those. But this was completely different, and I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, it was a pleasant surprise. It was really good!!! A nice romance with some steamy sex thrown in -- what's not to love?
Due to an androgynous first name, female Riley accidentally gets roomed with Oliver at a company convention. They get Suite 69 -- snicker. :-) Her first view of him is a Risky Business-type dance in ONLY his tube socks. When he realizes she's there (with her friend), he attempts to cover himself with a half-empty bottle of soda. She makes fun of the size of his manhood (because snarky comments are part of her defense), and they go from there. But Oliver is a laid back guy. Really a good one. He can take her snark and chilly comments and see through to who she really is. And he may be a typical guy and think smarmy thoughts, but he doesn't voice them, which endears him to a lot of women. He ultimately grows on Riley. And she on him. They hit it off big time, but it's not all smooth sailing from there. My heart was breaking for Riley, but ultimately it was an HEA. An expected one, but still a good one.
Boy, do I want to work for THIS company! Well, I'd like to at least go to their corporate conferences! Between the toy party, the “Christmas” party and the bachelor auction – not to mention an organized shopping trip, I don’t know how anyone got ANY work done!
The perfect fantasy relationship for anyone stuck at a boring corporate event, this story pairs male Oliver and female Riley in the appropriately named suite 69. Although it is a mistake, without someone moving to a hotel far away from the conference, there is no way to rectify the situation other than them both remaining in the suite.
Bitter, vengeful and horny co-workers make the conference interesting. And the interference keeps throwing Riley and Oliver together. Everything centers around sex – from the owner’s wife’s new “career” to the “extra curricular activities” of the conference attendees,
This is a fast paced book, and is quite enjoyable throughout. It’s a hot way to spend an afternoon. Be sure to pick this one up and have it ready when you just want to “get away”!
I really enjoyed this read! Have you ever been to a work convention and just dreaded it? Well let me tell you, there is no dreading a Zephyre convention! Oliver Wilson is planning on having a mini vacation out of this convention and is excited to meet his roommate so they discuss all the available women at this convention. Oliver is thrown for a loop when his roommate turns out to be the stuffy business women Riley McGuire. Riley is a career driven girl who wants none of Olivers smart remarks and flirty behavior. Things take a change in the when Oliver comes to her rescue. All that flirty behavior is looking a little more appetizing to Riley after that fateful night. This story is fully of steamy hot scenes, tension between the characters, and lots of great lines! SL Carpenter and Sahara Kelly are a great combo and I love to read their stories!! Grab it for a quick steamy, funny read!
It was a mistake. Yep. Had to be. As Riley opens the door to her hotel suite and see's a naked man dancing around the room. NAKED! This had to be a mistake, or a really awesome benefit to the hotel room, as pointed out by Carla, Riley's co-worker & friend. Oliver is mortified as he grabs that half-drunk soda bottle to shield his manhood. Not that the cold bottle does much for him.
The story starts out with this laughter, and it keeps on rolling throughout the story. From the third trophy wife of the president of the Zephyre Corporation, to the jerk-face Evan, to the colors of the rainbow that Carla is attempting to tackle. This story will hit your funny bone and keep on going. Oh.... and there's hot sex too. Although, it takes the story a bit of foreplay to get us there, but when it does? You will melt into the puddle of goo the authors wanted you to be.
Always wanted that "convention romance"? This is the story for you.... and more.
