What a story, this proved to be.

Charged with a deadly plot this book is an explosion of twists and turns, constantly surprising and never dull.

Just when you think you have figured out where the story is going, Michael O’Brien throws a curve ball that sends his characters and readers hurtling through one unexpected turn after another.

Now I would love to tell you all about the story. Actually I can’t wait to discuss this book with someone, but really the plot is for you, the reader, to discover for yourself.
I know only one man that can tell this story and that is, Mr O’Brien.

I hope you will trust me when I tell you that this book is unlike any I have ever read.

It is cheeky, it is bold, it makes rules, it breaks rules, it turns your head upside down and when you have read it you realise just how boring amusement parks are.

I mean, who needs a rollercoaster when you could read this book?

I feel like I have done air time on this one - my legs are unsteady, I am addicted and the adrenaline is still flowing.

This is entertainment at its very best. Thrilling, captivating, enthralling, heart wrenching, clever and most of all packed full of personality.

Have you ever had a good friend tell you a great story? That's exactly what reading Changing Lives is like. The author is witty and tells his story without bowing to the "rules" of writing. What results is an emotional and thrilling ride for his readers.

This book will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It may even make you angry with the characters at times. No matter what, you will care about these people and what happens to them. Best of all, is that O'Brien keeps you guessing throughout the novel. Just when you think you have it all figured out, the story does a complete 180 turn and takes you down a road you never expected.

I would highly recommend this book since it has a little something for everyone. There's mystery, suspense, romance, and comedy. I consider it a must-read.

'Changing Lives' by Michael O'Brien. Right, where do I start? This book is incredible. O'Brien's writing style is the most unique, quirky and interesting style I have ever had the pleasure to read. The storyline is fast paced, action packed, clever and unpredictable. The characters are real, multi-layered and never what you expect. O'Brien has a unique talent to turn what should be a detestable character into one you suddenly find yourself loving like an annoying little brother. I can't wait to read his next book as his individual style of storytelling is one that I will never get enough of. Great book!

When I was eighteen I used to skydive. Reading this book is much the same as the feeling you get when you are falling through the air.

It is intense, dynamic, full of character, unpredictable, multi-layered, emotive and makes the concord look slow.

It is unlike anything I have ever read before and I want more!

I absolutely loved it and recommend this book to EVERYONE.

But be warned this book is best suited to adrenaline junkies!

This is a book that lingers in your thoughts long after you've finished reading. I first read it back in 2012 and still think about it from time to time. Fiction isn't usually my thing, but this novel keeps you interested and definitely keeps you guessing.

The premise seems simple at first, but the characters are intriguing and the plot quickly thickens. I'm putting this on my "to read again" list. I wish the author had written more books. I would read more from him.
