After being hurt in a relationship herself, Rachel starts a website that allows girls from her town log on and 'review' guys they've dated. A gorgeous guy walks into the animal shelter where she works and she vows not to fall for him until she's looked him up on her website. Unfortunately for her, her website is offline today because she's gone with a cheap service provider, (hey the shelter doesn't pay very much ok).*This novella is approximately 13,200 words*
I have to confess yet another boy weakness. Trust me—there are many! :D A gorgeous guy with a kitten! *sigh* My heart turns into a big ‘ole puddle of love! That being said and out there for all to see now….
Trust Me by Katie Aleo was a very quick, cute, read with a gorgeous guy and his kitten and much more. :D The story presented a clear, strong message of trusting your gut, heart, and the person in front of you rather than gossip and rumors posted online. Just because something is on the internet does not make it a fact.
I would recommend squeezing this light and cuddly story in between books.
So Rachel started this website with her friend to warn girls of the "dirty" habits of the guys they date. She winds up meeting a guy, really liking him, checks the site to see he bails on dates in a hurry. Not giving him the opportunity to explain ends it before it even starts. After further digging into Bailey's life she finds out the reason for his speedy exists. Realizing she made a mistake she goes to find him to make things right.
Now the reason I say you should have your teens read this is because it's a perfect example on why you shouldn't always believe what you read on the internet. Though the site was created with good intentions, people can change but if you don't give them the chance it kid of makes it pointless. Cyber-bullying is a prime example, thought this book was to warn girl of potential boyfriends of their indiscretions it's another form of bullying because you don't check to see if its true and would be really easy to lie about someone.
So that's my take on this really short read. Be careful what you say about people on the internet you could be ruining someones life without realizing it. The only thing I would change is it's length. I would love to see were Rachel and Baily went afterwards.
Trust me is a romantic novel revolving around trust and distrust. In Katie Aleo's book, their are two main characters who after unexpectedly crossing paths fall in love. After their first date is pulled to an abrupt ending, one character begins to distrust the other. This causes many suspicions and conflicts to form. The story though is fairly simple and to the point. The book had little usage of advanced vocabulary and was not very open to reader interpretation. In conclusion, Trust Me didn't feature many concepts other than love and trust, it had very simple vocabulary and was not open to reader interpretation, therefore I would only recommend this book for people in search of a simple and romantic love novel.
This book was cute, but also simple and somewhat shallow. I didn't really care for Rachel or Cassie all that much. Bailey was adorable. And the kitten's name...loved it! Although, the story line was a based on a misunderstanding that anyone in their right mind would have cleared up quickly, not to mention the predictable ending, the story was worth the time and buck. And after all, It made me smile, 3 stars.
This has to be one of the worst books I've read, it was too short and everything happen so unrealistically and it was as if this was some dream someone had I honestly think if this story had been longer and more realistic it could have been α lot better
Actually I didn't like it. Too fast paced, unbelievable situations, serious problems that weren't addressed at all and definitely... needs a new editor ASAP, one that tells her the writing has to get better soon. I ouldn't recommend, it has some potential tough.
All I can say is: You know that happy, dreamy feeling you get when you're reading a romance story? I just didn't get that with this book, which was a real shame. However, other people have given this book some great reviews, so I guess it's worth a shot:)
