I read this book because they referenced a book "The Seven Deadly Sins" (not this book however) in this past General Conference. Since my library didn't have the one I was looking for I thought this would be the second best thing; same title, and same subject matter.

This did prove to be an interesting read. I wouldn't not have been able to identify the 7 deadly sins previously so now I am more familiar with them. I think I have half of them. Not good. Things to work on.

I appreciated the author's thorough review of each sin and I could really grasp ways that I could improve. One story he shared was when he gave his first sermon as a seminary student. (He is not LDS). Afterwords, according to protocol, each person wrote a review of the sermon. All his classmates gave him rave reviews and told him he had a successful career ahead. His teacher however told him that he could not brag about himself and Jesus in the same sermon, it doesn't work that way. That really got me thinking.

This was worth a quick read.

Not bad at all, nice quick read. The book is somewhat dated- it's 25 years old and the examples he author used definitely show it's age. The sloth and pride sections were excellent. The gluttony was not so good. Overall it was a decent light read.
