I purchased "Writing the Sexy Way" after hearing the author speak at a writing conference in Los Angeles, and I loved the book! It is comprised of "quickies" (i.e. unconventional and thought-provoking writing exercises) to help authors of all levels achieve brain orgasms -- and give them to their readers. It's a fun, humorous, and, yes, sexy read.

The greatest thing about this book is that it's extremely interactive; it pushed me to think about my writing in new ways. For example, Angermayer writes that authors are "seducers," and outlines five different types of seducers and the strengths and weaknesses of each. I giggled over the descriptions, and noticed myself in a few of them. Angermayer gives helpful tips for each "seducer" to use his / her strengths to overcome weaknesses and improve the craft of writing. I also liked how the book delved into psychology, introducing techniques like mild hypnosis to get into the"alpha state," the most creative state that we all have when we're falling asleep or waking up.

I'd recommend this book to any author who is looking for fresh, innovative writing tips all wrapped up in a sexy package!
