Silver Screen Dream was a book of many first for me. It was my first Djinn story, my first Bollywood story and the first story I have read that was told from two different perspectives. The first chapter is from the Djinn, Johnny’s point of view and the second from the heroine, Laura’s perspective. The book then alternates between the two, until the end of the book. I found this a unique and enjoyable way of storytelling which developed the story very well and moved it along at a good pace.

I must give Johnny an honourable mention for being my favourite character in the book. His sense of humour was wonderful and often made me smile.

This is a short, sexy read, which combines magic, lust and love with a real life heroine, who carries real life insecurities, dreams and desires.

Real life meets Bollywood and lots of sexy frolics. You can’t go wrong.

Silver Screen Dream by Victoria Blisse
Victoria does it again. This was a wonderful love story bringing two people together
that would have never given each other the time of day. I loved this story! Rahul is a Bollywood actor who is being forced into an arranged marriage. He has a Djinn named Johnny that was forced to see him thru to this marriage. While in London at a movie premier Rahul meets a woman named Laura that is not usually his type. There is just something about her he can’t get enough of. Johnny doesn’t like the looks of this and is trying to keep them apart. Johnny can’t fight fate or love when it comes to these two.

Article first published as eBook Review: Silver Screen Dream by Victoria Blisse on Blogcritics.

Part of Total-E-Bound's Bollywood series of books, Silver Screen Dream is another hot title penned by Victoria Blisse. It is also the first book in Victoria's Djinn's Amulet Series. This first title introduces us to Johnny, a djinn. He's bound to Bollywood star Rahul after being passed down through Rahul's family. You'd think being a djinn wouldn't be all that difficult, but unfortunately for Johnny, his master isn't the easiest man to deal with.

The story begins with Rahul making a visit to a British premiere of one of his films. There's nothing unusual in that, of course, but unbeknownst to everyone else, Rahul is planning on staying in the UK for as long as he can, in order to avoid an arranged marriage he wants no part of. Unfortunately, though Johnny is bound to do what his master tells him, he has one order from his previous master that will override anything that Rahul wants - he must ensure that the arranged marriage goes ahead.

Just to make matters worse, Rahul has fallen in love with a British Bollywood fan - Laura. Johnny really has his work cut out for him. He's going against the wills of Rahul and Laura, not to mention Rahul's intended bride, in order to make an unwanted marriage happen, because it's his job. But what will happen when true love is thrown into the mix?

I really enjoyed Silver Screen Dream. It's interesting the way it's been written from the perspectives of two characters; Johnny and Laura, which gives you an insight into two sides of the story. Victoria Blisse has done a really good job with this tale, it's imaginative, sexy and full of her trademark humour. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the other titles in this series.

Johnny is a Djinn. He has been bound to Rahul's family for centuries. He is duty bound by Rahul's fathers deathbed wish - that his son marry to woman he choose for him. The trouble is Rahul is a famous Bollywood Hearthrob and does not love Malati and has no intentions of marrying full stop.

But neither of them reckoned on Rahul meeting Laura, a dumpy, pasty white Brit and Bollywood fan in London. Like something out of a film - their eyes meet across the Cinema Foyer and the rest is history .... well nearly.

A great true love story!
