I am a broken record when it comes to Charlotte Stein--she is amazing! Her work is always well-written, characters fully developed, unique storylines, and creative sexual fantasies.
But, gentle reader, you are aware of my no brothers or cousins rule. The only reason I have lowered the rating on this delightful read is because the two heroes, both gorgeous and yummy, are related...half-brothers. That's a no-no for me. It would have been rude to exchange kisses with both of them at different times, but it was far more disturbing for a menage even though neither man has sex with the other. I was grossed out after that and found it difficult to like the story even though the plot was fantastic.
If you are a fan of that particular menage, then by all means, this will tingle your toes! To each his own...

The writing was good. The premise was very interesting, would make for a good full-length book. For how short it was, it just felt meh. Would love to see it more fleshed out.

Guarded is another hot title in the Bollywood series released by Total-E-Bound. Written by Charlotte Stein, this story is about Amina, a young woman captured by the Maharaja of Hadad and forced to read his prophetic scrolls. However, Amina is an extraordinarily determined woman, and she has escape on her mind. As a result, Ashan and Orin are assigned to guard her day and night. It doesn't lessen Amina's desire to escape, but the fact that the men are both very big and handsome means that she also has other things on her mind...
The next time Amina runs, the men are right behind her, but the increasing sexual tension between them means that this time, things are different. This time, there will be more than stern words and bound hands. And Amina couldn't be happier.
It appears that Ms. Stein is very fond of writing threesome stories - and when you've read hers, you'll know why! Guarded is packed full of tension, repression, heat and pure eroticism. So if you're looking for a sensual m/f/m threesome tale with a Bollywood theme, then you've found it.

This one had much more depth to it than the last book I read by Charlotte stein. I'm usually never a fan of multiple characters during fun time and I was almost cringing because it doesn't agree with the moral part of my brain. In my head I was screaming for one of the guys to get out of the room and leave the other one to it. I did however manage to separate reality from fantasy, put my personal preferences aside and continue to enjoy this short story. Charlotte stein's writing style is beautiful and in every book I have read from her so far the scenes flow especially in this one. It felt much more real and sensual although every fun time never seems to end with the big finale that you want, it just sort of falls flat but rest is still very engaging. The slightly elaborate and exotic world appealed much more to me than her other works so I gave it that extra star for good world building despite being a shorter story. :)

Very disappointed in this story. Usually I like CS's books but not this one. I didn't get the ending. What did Amina mean by her final statement?

This book is naughty - it made me want to be able to read some prophetic scrolls and be guarded, too.

Everything Ms Stein writes works for me but some are better than others. If you are looking for an introduction I'd say start w something else.

Oh hot as hell, sexy threesome business going on in this strange, fantasy version of a Middle Eastern erotic novella. Very, very nice.
