I might be immortal . Shocking, right? I couldn’t believe it, either.
My mom never told me we were descendants of Atlantis. She never mentioned our family’s magical powers or ancient history with other immortal beings. Nope . I only learned about all of that after she was kidnapped in New York.
Now I’m surrounded by them. They call themselves Keepers—descendants of Atlantis, Olympus, and a city in the middle of the earth. But despite their powers, none of them can answer my questions.
Where is my mom? Who is my real father? And why is a super hot immortal hunter chasing after my soul?
The answer may lie within an ancient stone tablet, if only I can survive long enough to find it. ★★★★★ Daughter of Sea and Sky is perfect for fans craving a more grown-up version of Percy Jackson. One-click now if you
This is serving up the Atlantean version of Percy Jackson with a female lead and I am here for it! I love Everly’s character, her thirst for knowledge, and how grounded in herself she is for having been thrown into a mythological life over night. Also can’t wait to see what happens with Tate, because he screams love interest. The friends are fun, too - Gayla is the flirty party girl, Dom is the snarky broody one, and Sean is the overprotective big brother.
I found the audiobook on YT uploaded by the author. Many thanks to her!🥰
I thought the writing was solid, same with the pacing. Overall, it was enjoyable.
Even though I have never read Percy Jackson before, it seems like this is the modern version of it with a female lead, which is pretty cool! The characters were likable, though. What I especially like is that the author didn't throw in a bunch of random side characters with no role in this book, so yay!
Also, the author had really done a good job at weaving rich magical history and mythology into a modern setting!
This is a small author that I would love to see rising up and being put aside with all these popular YA novelists, and I'll be listening to more of her books since they are free on her YT channel.
I gave it 3 stars because I'm hard to please lmao. The story itself is really not my cup of tea. But, I can see a lot of people enjoying it.
So far the story has grabbed my attention. Loving the characters so far and the dive into some mythology. Looking forward to seeing how those things develop within the series.
The idea at the basis of the story was inviting to know more about Atlantis and fractured souls. Yet, this book left me underwhelmed in every possible way.
This book should be an introduction to the introduction : presenting characters and the problem - no resolution, barely a sub plot to hold on to with the remaining patience left after pages and pages of not much happening. Even the “love” interest which is the easiest way to have something happen when nothing happens, is not leading anywhere. The cliffhanger is not a cliffhanger, it just seems like an entire book is missing.
It is sad because all the elements were there yet, past 13 years old chances are it will be a miss.
Giving 2 * , the second star is earned out of respect that I may have been a complete non-target for this book, and because the initial idea was cool and well-presented enough that I attempted to read this book till the end.
Great story so far, the tension and list between the characters is so cute. The cliffhanger guy the fuck out of me. I’m excited to find out what she is.
Ohhhhh so there like this whole genre of girls who are like oh I’m mortal and normal and then actually they’re parents are Atlanten or something and then they’re being hunted by some other Atlantean ish guy who is hot and sexy w/amber eyes ?!? Okay got it heard understood
