Rate this book
He’s just a little boy... so why are bad guys with guns after him? Can black belt
P.I. Mallory Petersen keep him safe?

A five year old boy fascinated with superheroes unwittingly takes a special comic book and is pursued by gunmen. When Mallory Petersen saves him from being shot, she finds herself on the run with her young charge. What is so special about the comic that people are willing to kill a child?
Before she can answer that question, she becomes involved with another assignment from the local drug lord, Edward Brougham. To save the life of Brougham’s mother, Mallory is to exchange a prized Miniature Pinscher for a shipment of cobalt.
Mallory, the boy, and the dog soon join up with a couple of pot-smoking rock musicians and their flirtatious lead singer who are after their hocked instruments.
Can Mallory obtain the cobalt and keep everyone safe while figuring out the mystery behind the comic? It’s a car chasing, bullet flying, guitar playing, and danger filled ride around Des Moines with the city’s favorite private investigator and martial artist.
