This is the complete Mysteries of Ivywood series. Books 1 - 5.
This book series started strong. You follow the life of a young woman who is learning about her families history. I am a reader and this series was hard to finish. My theory of "never abandon a book" made me stick it out. The story line is so far fetched. The author jumps all over with her stories. Its like she is trying to write about everything instead of telling her story in detail she jumps to another story. You have a skeleton in a trunk, then one on an island, an attempted murder, a homicide, a couple kidnappings, arson, lies, and several love stories.....it's just a lot!
I loved this series, its well written and each book is a complete story. Each book could stand alone, and has the running theme of Pru and Roy's growing relationship. The running story is someone is trying to run Pru away from Ivy wood Manor, which she inherited. Roy is the man hired to bring Ivywood back . Each book has a different mystery involving Ivywood and Peru's friends.
I really enjoyed this series. I plan to look for more great stories from this author. I also enjoy the series stars right after you finish one book. Don't have to stop for the next one, it's already there..
The books were great. The suspense was good and kept you guessing who. I enjoyed all the different characters. The discription of the people and village was good. Thank you for a great read.
I would like to give this 4.5. It was good but almost like the perils of Pauline. Good twist at the end but at 5 books was ready for it to be done. Love June Woods books and starting another series.
