Aiden

Rate this book
It was never meant to be like this. Cora had never meant to start an affair with her boss. Aiden had never meant to claim her. But he did and now they must learn to live with a bond neither of them wanted, with a stranger in their bed, and new emotions raging through their souls.

Aiden is coming back from a bad break-up and isn't looking for anything permanent. In fact, he still wonders if his ex-girlfriend, a gold-digger truth be told, will come back. Cora is bouncing back from a bad break-up as well, but she knows the miserable alpha she trusted who had lied to her, won't be back.

While Cora tries to make the best of it, Aiden is plagued by his inner demons and guilt. Will they manage to work through their differences and become the mates they are meant to be or lose each other on their way?

This is book two in The Players series and can be enjoyed independently.

Publisher's This contemporary omegaverse romance is intended for adults only. It contains elements of boss/employee romance, age gap, power exchange, sensual scenes, adult themes and a happily ever after.

The premise of this book was great--an accidental mating with complications compounded by the fact the alpha was still in love with his previous girlfriend. Add in the fact that the heroine is a complete emotional basketcase, having no idea how she feels--is she in love with her alpha? Her former boss? In the end, the two f**k up their own lives because they are both emotionally immature and act before they think. Also, I can tell that this author isn't a native English speaker. She uses the same phrases to describe the bond, and she misspells common words that Word spellcheck would catch for her.

Overall, I would read another book by her, but my opinion will probably be the same.

There is a lot of back and forth between Aiden and Cora. He is in need of a secretary, and she is hired. Cora is an Omega where Aiden can scent her something he isn't too fond of. When an accidental mating occurs, it leads to nothing but trouble for these two. They both have emotional baggage and add in the fact that Aiden still have feelings for his ex. Will he and Cora get a chance for happiness. This story kept me glued to the pages.
