From USA Today bestselling author Olivia Miles comes the heartfelt story of the bond that brings three sisters together to face past regrets and the future of their family’s legacy.

After the death of their beloved aunt, the estranged Burke sisters reunite at their childhood home for an unforgettable summer, each harboring a secret. With their family once again at a turning point, they must overcome their differences to discover what the future holds for the lakefront house and each other.

Leah’s marriage is over, which somehow still doesn’t uncomplicate matters when she reconnects with her first love. Emma is tired of being the responsible one, stuck in her hometown by obligation to her family and by feelings for someone she can’t have. Sadie’s life in New York has all but fallen apart, and she’s haunted by the mistakes she made that led her so far away from home in the first place.

But when they learn that their ancestral estate is in danger of foreclosure, the sisters must find a way to mend the rifts between them to save the only true home they’ve ever known—and with it, maybe they can stitch themselves back together too.

An interesting new women’s fiction novel about three estranged sisters who’ve come back together to bury the aunt who raised them. She’s left them everything she owned, namely her large home, and the sister’s must decide whether to sell it, or keep it as a bed and breakfast. The youngest sister, Emma has always lived there with their aunt. The middle sister left years ago after an incident, and has been barely making ends meet in New York. The oldest sister married and has two children, and is getting divorced. The two oldest barely want to speak to each other much less divulge what’s happening in their private lives. The story is setup with each sister having a chapter from her point of view throughout the book. I found quite a bit of the dialogue repetitive about their inner turmoil over their current personal situations. THE HEIRLOOM INN is a good read if you stay reading on it steadily, though, to see what changes and choices each sister makes at the end.

I honestly reviewed an unedited digital arc provided by NetGalley and Montlake. All opinions are my own.

When Aunt Viv dies and three sisters are together again for the first time in fifteen years. Leah the oldest, has two children and is in the middle of a divorce. Sadie has been in NYC living paycheck to paycheck and has just been let go from her last relationship and job. Emma is the one that stayed taking care of Viv and working at a local inn. She has been pining for her best friend for four years. Each chapter is from the POV of one of the sisters. When they realize the house is mortgaged heavily by Viv they can either sell it or figure a way to work together to salvage the home they once shared.

This is a story of loss and reconnection. I was surprised how little I was moved by the individual stories of the sisters. And I correctly predicted by the half way point how everything would turn out. All of their lives felt a little sad and hollow to me. I wanted good cathartic moments to bring the sisters back to each other. They do work together but their choices seem more driven by a lack of anywhere else to be and potential love interests. And Leah reconnecting with her first love and the whole we were broken up vs. we were on a break, seems ridiculous as she is currently still married and in my mind not free to date at all. I connected to Sadie’s story the most but like her sisters there isn’t much depth as to what has kept her drifting and away for so long. I wanted to love the reuniting but instead felt sad for the wasted years. And as a minor point, I was disappointed that no one that the aunt lent money, one of the reasons the house is highly mortgaged, returned it. That told me this isn’t a community where I necessarily want to live.

This is an easily readable general (women’s) fiction and romance but I didn’t catch feelings for the characters. The story is clean with only a couple of kisses shared. I love the cover as it fits the story. Thank you to Montlake for the ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
I thoroughly enjoyed this book – it was very moving in places, very funny in others, and hugely entertaining all the way through. Whilst I think we could probably all guess what would happen, given the title of the book, it did not follow other expected norms. We are let into the life of four different women and learn just how easily life can change on a dime should fate decree. It is also a great reminder not to judge others or make assumptions without all the facts.

The reason for Leah and Sadie never coming home is borne of a misunderstanding and jealousy that could have been resolved much sooner, had they just spoken. I did feel there was one big inconsistency that bothered me, and that was the non-returning of the monies that Aunt Viv had lent to friends and neighbours – I was expecting some show of support or repayment, even in the form of food or labour. As the women grew into their new possibilities, we get to understand too how although history repeated itself, there can be a better outcome.

A good read, with plenty of flawed characters to give it more depth and a satisfying happy ending.

After the aunt who raised them died, sisters Sadie and Leah return to Fog's Landing for the first time in 15 years. Their sister Emma, who stayed behind when they left, is mourning the loss of Aunt Viv, and conflicted about relationship in her life. Turns out Sadie and Leah are also hiding secrets of their own.

I feel like the rebuilding of the house serves as a metaphor for the rebuilding of the sisters' relationships with each other and people in their pasts. They are all convinced that both rebuilds would have been 100% supported by Aunt Viv.

I felt like this book was good, moved a bit slow and maybe dwelled too much on what drove Leah and Sadie apart. Sure, it was hurtful at the time, but Leah has since married and had two children, she probably should have moved past the resentment by now. Other than that, it was a good read and will be appreciated by anyone who enjoys small town stories, family drama and guys who look good and act like real men!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

My thoughts: 🔖Page 44 of 276 Chapter Six Sadie - There are a lot of missteps with this story, but I'm going to let it go, it just makes it hard to relate to any of the characters. I'm still confused about if Olivia never took her kids to the house why was she in town with them?

This story was very confusing in the details and I wasn't a fan of the plot at all. Overall it was okay.

Recommend to others: Not sure, but probably not likely unless they aren't petty.

This was about three sister reconnecting after their aunt’s death after 15 years apart. There were issues that they had to work out both between them, other characters and within themselves. It was about going through those emotional journeys in order to be brought back together again and have a family. There were many things that were explored like grief, loss, forgiveness, and love. Ending was satisfactory as they all learned and grew as they came together again.

3.75/5⭐️ Honestly almost stopped reading this like 4 times and it took me forever to finish because it was not grabbing my attention at all. Very very slow and dragged the first like 60% of the book, I kept reading and it actually ended up being really sweet and cute. Wish it didn’t have such a slow start!

The Heirloom Inn written by Olivia Miles was the type of book that HIT me right in the heart. As someone with a younger sister, I could NEVER imagine fifteen years going by without talking to her. The Heirloom Inn hit on a whole different personal level, it was heart warming, but at the same time it was gut wrenching. From the cover, to the story itself, it was just so beautiful to witness. I have never read Olivia Miles before, but after reading this book and loving it so much, I will definitely read this author's other works without a doubt in mind. In my opinion, there's nothing better than picking up a new author for the first time and connecting with the story so deeply. I don't think there's anything that didn't work for me, Olivia Miles describes a sister bond so perfectly, the writing style was so unique. If you're looking for a feel good family story, look no further than The Heirloom Inn. I won't lie, before picking up this book, I thought it was going to be filled with family drama, but it was so much more than that. I loved and adored the three sisters so much, they were NOT perfect by any means. Please do yourself a favor and pick up this book immediately.

THANK YOU TO NETGALLEY AND MONTLAKE FOR AN ARC OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!!!!!!

The Burke sisters, Emma, Sadie, and Leah have been reunited again after being apart for so long to honor their aunt's wishes. The Burke sister's lost their parents in a car accident, so their aunt took the sisters under her wings and gave them a home and a happy life. It wasn't easy for them knowing their mother has passed, but their aunt was like a second mother to them. Now, with their aunt gone, Emma, Sadie, and Leah must decide what to do to her house, clean it up and sell it or turn it into a bed and breakfast. The Burke sister's are so estranged, so it's awkward to have a normal conversation without the past getting involved, but the Burke sister's must face their past regrets and look to the future and honor their aunt's legacy. After the death of their beloved aunt, Emma, Sadie, and Leah reunite at their childhood home for an unforgettable summer. When reunited, each Burke sister is harboring a secret. Despite their past, the three sisters must come together and save their aunt's house, and hopefully stitch themselves back together again and have that sisterly bond they have always wanted.

Leah and Sadie haven't seen or spoken to each other in fifteen years due to an incident that happened years ago at their childhood home. Leah and Emma have seen each other a few times and kept in contact, but never really had that sister bond without it feeling strained. Leah left her aunt's home fifteen years ago without looking book, she is now married and has two daughters, but her marriage is falling apart and now her husband is filing for divorce. Leah and Sadie truly looked up to their older sister, Leah, she was always the strong one. Sadie left her childhood home fifteen years ago as well, without looking back due to an incident that happened with Leah. Leah and Sadie haven't seen each other since that summer night. Sadie has moved to New York to work at restaurant, but now her job is in jeopardy, and she's in a secret relationship with her boss that doesn't want to have a real relationship, they are basically in a relationship with no strings attached. Emma is the Burke sister that stayed behind and took care of their aunt, Emma felt obligated to stay behind, since Leah and Sadie just booked. Emma is so tired of being the responsible one, she just wants to spread her wings and live her life.

This is the story of Leah, Sadie and Emma. They are estranged and get back together after 15 years following the death of their Aunt Viv who raised them after the death of their parents. You soon find out why they're estranged: Sadie slept with Leah's boyfriend, and after that fight they all broke up and never made amends. Sadie moved to New York, Leah to Chicago and Emma stayed behind in the small town village with her aunt. All three seem to have their lives in order, but that is not the case for either of them. Sadie has been dumped and fired by her boss, and she also has no place to live. Leah is soon-to-be divorced, and Emma has a longtime crush on Wyatt, who has a girlfriend. All three need comfort and security, and struggle with feelings of guilt, insecurity and feeling lost and displaced. Because the house is heavily mortgaged, their aunt left them no savings and they have no income, the girls decide to turn the house into an inn. Selling isn’t an option because that would mean they need to come up with the money to pay the bank. I liked that they have doubts about the plans but they don’t talk about it because of their strained relationship. Just like in real life it’s not always clear what the right thing to do is, and whether you will be successful.
The story is told from three perspectives. Each sister’s point of view alternates with each chapter, but without overlap, so it is written very well. The writer has done a great job of describing the complex feelings one feels in a prolonged conflict. All the complex emotions, wanting to get it resolved but not being able to get this done because there are so many hurt feelings back and forth, but also the people around them; the reputation you have, shattered hopes and dreams and the ramifications of certain decisions. There’s reflection on what could’ve been… Beautifully and realistically written. Although I'm having a hard time with the storyline of one sister sleeping with another sister’s boyfriend, it does explain the years of estrangement between Leah and Sadie. I just wished it didn’t happen; that it was only kissing or fooling around. I cannot imagine anyone crossing THAT line with the partner of your sister! So I have to deduct points for that. But besides that, it was a good story, well thought out, with depth and a lot of soul-searching.
I received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and I am grateful for this opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Burke sisters reunite after fifteen years of estrangement following the death of their aunt. This journey back to their home was also a journey back to each other and themselves.

I am trash for sibling stories, and I really enjoyed this one. The older two sisters, Emma and Sadie, were the ones with the conflict which kept them from returning home for so long. I won't lie, it was pretty bad, but you know the saying about time and wounds. It seemed they had to return to the scene of the crime to get that closure.

But there was a lot more to this story than just the healing of old wounds. Each sister was at a crossroad in their life, and it seemed investing their time and energy into saving their family home was the perfect way to help them make important decisions about their futures. I really did love this part. I was cheering for all three to find a path that would give them some satisfaction because they all seemed to be going through the motions without really living.

The women renewing their sisterhood bond was definitely a highlight, but I adored all their romantic subplots as well. One was expected (and I was glad for it), one was a bit surprising, and one was way too cute. I like to think of the romantic parts as the icing on the cake because the heart of this story really was the sisters reuniting and their respective personal journeys.

Overall, I had a wonderful time getting to know the Burke sisters as they mourned the loss of their aunt, uncovered some family secrets, healed old wounds, and moved forwards towards a bright future...together.

4.5/5 - The Heirloom Inn by Olivia Miles is a wonderful heartfelt story of three sisters coming back to their childhood home upon their aunt’s death. Estranged, torn apart by a betrayal, and holding grudges for fifteen years, Leah, Sadie, and Emma work together to renovate their home to become an inn. Each one dealing with their own secrets and internal struggles, reliving some of their most treasured and difficult memories. Leah, the oldest with two daughters, is divorcing her husband and has no clear view of her future. Sadie, the middle sister and the cause of the betrayal, is lost, with no home, no job, and no money. Emma, the youngest, never left their home; feeling trapped by her lack of choices. All three reunite when their Aunt Vivian dies leaves her large Victorian home to them. All three lives are upended and solutions are not easy to come by.

As Leah, Sadie and Emma tell the story in alternating chapters; through heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. Their story is filled with secrets, anger, angst, hurt, gossipers, small town happenings, family, friends and neighbors, dreams, first loves, unrequited love, romance and love. We get to know each of them and observe them let some of their walls down when they have a shared goal. We see their relationships with others and how they each dream their lives could be different. Sharing a common goal might be the impetuous to bring them together and make them a family once again.

Ms. Mason wrote a story of familial love, loss and heartache, this was a beautiful tribute to growing up, growing wiser, and having the courage to face yourself, forgiveness and hidden stories from the past about their aunt and their parents; weaving the tale through each of their points of view. I highly recommend The Heirloom Inn to other readers.

Olivia Miles is a new-to-me author, and I was intrigued about the Netgalley blurb about the three principle characters, 3 sisters, Emma, Leah and Sadie, who were primarily raised my their Aunt Viv in the quaint town of Fog's Landing, in Door County, ont he shores of Lake Michigan, after the loss of both of their parents. Aunt Viv has died, Emma was the only one of the sisters who stayed behind with Viv after her two sisters left the area. As women's fiction with a touch of romance goes, this was an enoyable, though slow-moving read for the most part, but I did have a hard time relating to the sisters, since I was raised as an only child.

The reason for the estrangement was a betrayal, Sadie was caught having sex with Leah's boyfriend, whom Leah has hoped to someday hoped to marry, and both young women left Fog's Landing as soon as possible, and didn't return, even to vivist Emma, for 15 years. Aunt Viv's will left her large Victorian home to the 3 sisters jointly, and once the sisters returned from Aunt Viv's funeral, they had to decide what to do with her house--it was Emma's home since childhood, but the other two sisters really had no plan to stay beyond taking care of the home, and selling, but in the lengthy period of time between arriving and deciding, and told in alternate narration by the 3 sisters, a lot is about to change for all of them, but will it be good, bad, or otherwise? You'll just have to read this novel to find out.

In short, this is a rather lengthy, slow moving, yet well-written novel about familial relationships, sisterly bonds, love, loss, forgiveness and reconciliation. It gets 4 stars from this reader.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

The Heirloom Inn is a story of three sisters and how their lives have evolved since the two oldest are not in contact with each other due to something that happened between them fifteen years before. Emma, the youngest and the only one who stayed in the small town where they were raised by their aunt, has limited contact with both of them. But history seems to be repeating itself due to some family dynamics they learn about after their aunt's passing.

Leah, Sadie and Emma tell the story in alternating chapters. There are heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. Their story is filled with secrets, anger, angst, hurt, gossipers, small town happenings, family, friends and neighbors, dreams, first loves, unrequited love, romance and love. We get to know each of them and observe them let some of their walls down when they have a shared goal. We see their relationships with others and how each of them wish for their lives to be different. Will sharing a goal be enough to bring them together and make them a family once again?

There are twists and turns to the story along with beautiful descriptions that painted pictures in my mind. There is nice closure but I wish the book would have gone on a little longer. The cover is vibrant and drew me in.

Three sisters seems to be a trope that many authors are employing and I always find the interactions fascinating. Heirloom Inn didn't disappoint as I rode the rollercoaster with the three sisters and some of their best friends whom they had left behind. I've only read a few books by Ms. Miles previously but plan to read more.

The Heirloom Inn is a story of loss, love, betrayal and forgiveness. After 15 years apart, three estranged sisters are brought together again by the death of the aunt that helped to raise them. They have a complicated relationship because of the betrayal of one sister but they share a common goal in saving the home that has been in their family for generations. In the process of turning the home into an Inn, they try to reconnect and mend their broken relationship.

This was a relatively easy read. I liked that the chapters alternated the point of view of each of the three sisters. I think this helps to establish the characters and helps the reader to better understand them. I have read a few other novels by Olivia Myles and sadly, this was not my favorite. There were some very touching moments that left me teary eyed but for the most part, I felt like something was lacking. There was plenty of conflict among the sisters but there was no real tension. It just sort of hummed along. No big secrets or shocking events to keep your attention. The storyline was pretty predictable. I found the characters to be a little bland. Emma was very passive and it was not an appealing character trait. Leah let people believe she had the perfect life. She felt inauthentic and fake and this made her rather unlikeable to me. Sadie was my favorite sister. She was complicated and misunderstood but even she felt a little blah at times. I felt the story deserved more than 3 stars but wasn’t quite a 4 star read so I landed in the middle at 3 ½ stars.

This story could be made into a Hallmark movie!
I loved this sweet story of heartbreak, second chances and a renewed friendship/sisterhood.
I couldn't put this book down. It was incredible! A story unlike I've ever read before. There is power in love and forgiveness. But, most of all love.
I like the sister's aunt's thinking. What better way to bring these three lovely sisters back together?
I realized I've read this author before so when I seen this one I grabbed it. So glad I did!
I've really enjoyed in getting to know Sadie, Emma and Leah and I loved how flawed they really were. They are such down to earth characters that I loved them immediately. I don't like know it all characters.
The author describes the setting of this book so perfectly that I felt like I was there in the story.
Gorgeous cover by the way! It and the author was what drew me to read this novel. I wo t forget these characters anytime soon! They've left my heart feeling full and satisfied. Even if I can't connect with the characters I still very much enjoyed and loved these 3 ladies. They took me on a life's journey of love and how to forgive others because life is just too short for such nonsense!
5 stars for a wonderful read! And a job well done! I recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Three estranged sisters are reunited when their beloved Aunt Viv dies and leaves them the family home.

The oldest sister Leah hasn't been home since splitting up with her first love Carter. Although it's led to an entirely different life—marriage to someone else and two beautiful girls—Leah has never been able to forget the incident that caused her and Carter to break up permanently.

Middle sister Sadie lives in New York but is not living the glamorous life she'd always dreamed of. She's just been dumped by the guy she's been seeing, has been unceremoniously fired, and to top it all off, her roommate's just kicked her out and left her homeless. But could everything she's ever wanted be right where she left it?

Emma, the youngest, can't help feeling resentful. While her sisters have had the freedom to go away and lead their own lives, she's the one who's been stuck in Fog's Landing, caring for Aunt Viv and hoping that a certain male friend will start seeing her in a different light. But now that she CAN go live out her dreams, does she even know what she really wants?

I love family saga stories and Olivia Miles writes them so well. I think we can all relate to at least one of the sisters and the issues they experience: lost loves, crushed dreams and trying to figure out what we really want in life.

Four stars for a predictable but easygoing and charming read.

This book began slowly for me. I thought it was going to be all about three sisters complaining about each other and the perceived inequities of their personal situations. In a way it was, but the author wove their shared life histories and their individual experiences in a way that made the book, after the first couple of chapters, enjoyable and readable.

Leah, Sadie, and Emma are the sisters. They have been estranged for years, although I'm not sure why they are ALL estranged when it was only one of them that betrayed one other. Emma seems to be the peacemaker, Sadie the outsider, and Leah the traditionalist. None of them are as they are first perceived.

Coming back to bury their Aunt Viv, all of the sisters are left with the house that Emma has lived in almost her whole life. Will it be a millstone around their necks or a way to bring them closer together?

Very predictable plot in my opinion. Three women what are not attached to any man, with three men showing up that is just perfect for each woman. There are issues to work out, but very predictable.

No open door love scenes, only some chaste kisses...well some not so chaste! A nice novel that keeps your interest as soon as you get a bit invested in the women. Stay with it. It grows on you.

Your next book club read.

This is my first Olivia Miles book, and it will not be my last. I was drawn into her ability to hook you with the best breadcrumbs while giving beautiful descriptions and detailed imagery. There is so much connection between characters, great development of past and present storylines with just the right dose of humor to keep things moving.

A story of familial love, loss and heartache, this was a beautiful tribute to growing up, growing wiser, and having the courage to face yourself. Written in a third person limited perspective, Olivia weaves a tale of three sisters through each of their points of view. There are moments of "how will this play out?" as well as "I can't stop...what will she decide?!"

If you are a fan of clean romance, Sweet Magnolias-eque family themes, and storylines wrapped up in a nice bow at the end, with the epilogue to sweeten all epilogues, this is the book for you.

I was offered a free digital ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.

This was a heartwarming and enjoyable beach read, a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

3.75 Stars for me!

This is a decent story about how a single event can tear a family apart. Three sisters are brought back together by the death of an Aunt after a 15 year separation. Communication is awkward as they dance around the issues yet decide to redo their childhood home into an Inn.

The primary conflict of the story is between two sisters in which one sister slept with the other sister's boyfriend (while they were on a break). The aggrieved sister cannot seem to move on yet she is semi-forced to work with her ex as he is running his father's bank.

More info is revealed throughout the story about each sister plus the relationship issues between their mom and their aunt.

The story is clean and has a Hallmark ending in which all is revealed and the sisters are rebuilding their family.

I did enjoy the story but the aggrieved sister drove me a bit nuts by withholding her current family status in the big city... 🤔

This was a quick, sweet read about family, change & restoration. It only took me a few hours to read & was a clean women’s lit with undercurrents of romance.

I enjoyed getting to know each of the sisters & their perspectives, but I never felt like I connected with any of them on a super deep level. I also enjoyed the small-town homecoming of the two older sisters & the reunion of a family.

I would’ve liked to meet Leah’s kids a little more, and also fleshed out the love interests a bit more too. But it was a short book with a large cast of characters, so I’m not sure there was room to develop things further, but I do feel that it would’ve help establish a more meaningful connection to the characters.

Still, it was entertaining & sweet, and to be fair, I was looking for something lighthearted, not something super deep!

Leah, Emma and Sadie lost their parents I'm a tragic accident and went to live in the ancestral home with their Aunt Vivian, whom they'd never met. As years pass they settle into a new life but when a falling out causes a rift in the family dynamic, only the youngest sister remains.

Flash ahead 15 years and Aunt Viv dies. The family is reunited but relationships are strained until they learn to communicate their feelings and forgive past transgressions. Everything is different, yet the same as is common in small towns. They each have a secret which is revealed as the story unfolds.

A good story of family, forgiveness and second chances. A bit slow at times but overall an enjoyable story

Although I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I wanted to like this more than I did as I adore the author. The blurb sounded wonderful, interesting and l always love a HEA. What I got was three sisters, yet two I didn't really like all that much or connect with in any way. Sadie, who did a not great thing, ran and over looked back. It was a long time ago and she needed to both forgive herself and be forgiven. Leah was delusional and in my opinion a bit of a narcissist. While learning about her I kept thinking "is she serious?" while shaking my head. Lastly, Emma, who stayed in town so as to not abandon the aunt who lovingly raised them while she abandoned any thoughts of to her own hearts desires and wanting so much more, while also hanging onto an unrealistic dream of love with someone who has never shown an inkling of interest. There is ultimately a lovely resolution for them all, but for me it took way too long to get there.

This story centres on 3 sisters who have to manage the death of their beloved aunt, coping with the aftermath of her estate, as well as their own struggles, both alone and with each other. I loved the relationships between the 3 sisters, which were threaded throughout the book in a fluent and interesting way. Each sister had their own, individual, story, which all had different themes and lessons to learn from. It had a lovely feel-good factor, particularly with the relationships within the town. The romance was believable, which meant I invested in the outcome, hoping for a particularly conclusion. The author built up the settings in a way which meant I could visualise the town and the house. At times, I got a bit frustrated with the characters reactions, particularly the younger sister but it was still a lovely read.

When I had read through the blurb of "The Heirloom Inn", I felt that this book would be something I can connect with, owing to the fact that this is a story of three sisters and the relationship between them. Books which feature women as primary always interest me particularly when they are sisters,as there is nothing as complex as family dynamics.

However, that was not at all the case with this book. In spite of my best efforts, I couldn't connect with any of the women; even the most vulnerable of them don't endear themselves to the reader. The fall-out between the sisters has a very strong reason but the way it was resolved seemed contrived rather than organic. The author did have several good ideas going in the pages; but many of them weren't executed in the right manner.

It was a fairly enjoyable read but not exceedingly good nor engaging for me.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this novel in eBook format.

I absolutely loved it! A very poignant novel that truly has a heartfelt ending.

Leah, the oldest sister who lives in Chicago with her husband and two girls is always hustling and bustling until her husband decides it’s time for them to part ways. The girls take a month long visit with their dad while their mom has nothing to do, but her aunt unexpectedly passes away which draws her and her other two sisters back to their family home in a small-town. Her family is rejoined together at their family home to mourn the passing of their aunt and the story unfolds from there. A very poor decisions divides Leah and her one sister, but time allows for healing and the past is left in the past.
