Travis hires an online dating service to find him a sexy, older, hairy man, someone who’d make him feel safe and cherished.

With Madame Evangeline’s high-end dating service, 1NightStand, you get exactly what you want. Madame Eve understands your desires and makes no mistakes in matchmaking. And indeed, John seems to be the dream man of Travis.
Travis grinned madly. His bear even growled. How awesome was that?

But John seems to be unsatisfied with Travis. It would be the first time that Madame Eve made a mistake. Or did she?

Adorable characters, sizzling, undeniable chemistry, and steamy storyline. Recommended!

Sweet, insta-lovey short about a twink who is obsessed with bears and gets set up with the bear of his dreams.

Yeah, whoever okay-ed that cover had not read the story.

For John, I pictured Aaron Eckhart in Erin Brockovitch (tall, long blond hair, hairy face):

And for Travis, a pretty boy:

I liked the emotion behind the story, and the minor miscommunications actually worked here. It was well rounded for a short, and I really got a good sense of these men and where they were coming from.

But the insta-love... I couldn't bear it.

Get it?!?!

This cover is very, very wrong to how the characters look, so that is distracting. I hate it when that happens.

The story though? Fantastic.

Travis and John hire 1NightStand, a mysterious matchmaking company, to find them each a fantasy. When they're matched and they meet for the first time Travis is ecstatic and John is pissed off. Travis wanted a bear and got one but John wasn't expecting the younger, gorgeous Travis. They manage to work through the misunderstanding and for such a short story there's a real depth of character here. Lots of chemistry and wonderful natural dialogue that's HFN but edging to a HEA. These men are perfect for each other and I would love to read another book to see where they're at in the future but I'm satisfied with where they ended up if that never happens.

Yummy, delicious, furry, sweet, more yummy. Highly recommended for readers who love bears. Travis's adoration of John's body is the best. We get to know the MCs surprisingly well in only a few words.

The premise was fun but the insta-love wasn't. This was a short story and it was fairly entertaining but seemed just so unrealistic, like that would never happen. But is was sweet, I will say that.

This was a cute matchmaking story. Travis is a twink who wants an older, hairy bear. John lost his husband several years before and is ready to get back to the dating scene. They sign up with a matchmaking service which sends them to Grand Turk island.

It’s a very insta-lovey story once John got past the fact that beautiful twink Travis really wanted a guy like him.

This was an adorable about two men who pay for a one night stand and end up getting alot more than they bargained for.

Travis is a twink in his mid-twenties who's just taken the bar exam. He's decided to reward himself with a trip to the Caribbean and a sexy bear of a man.

John is a big and burly law professor who's looking to jump start his life three years after the death of his partner.

This story made me smile. I liked that the author changed things up when it came to stereotypes. Instead of making John a Dom as alot of authors do when they have a character who's a bear, the author made him a law professor. Also, while John is confident he also has his share of insecurities.

Deanna Wadsworth also plays with the stereotypical twink role. Travis is smart, ambitious and completely honest with himself when it comes to acknowledging why bears appeal to him.

The story's ending was especially sweet and hopeful. I would would read another story about this couple and I actually hope the author chooses to write more about them.

This was a quick read, so if you have some free time and want to read something short and easy give this story a try.

If you’re looking for a short, hot read with lots of romance and man-on-man action, this novella may be for you. The whole concept of 1NightStand, an agency with a mysterious owner who arranges for – one night stands - is fun and weaves a nice thread between the otherwise unconnected stories published in this series. ‘Bear It All’ was the first one I read, but it won’t be the last!

Travis is desperate for a strong partner who isn’t out to make him his sub or otherwise abuse him. He may look like a kid, but he’s 25, has just passed the bar exam and treats himself to a holiday, hoping to find more than a fling. His need for acceptance is touching, as is his yearning for love. While his expectation to find it by arranging, essentially, for a hook up is definitely unrealistic, the way his encounter with John unfolds has a touch of fairy tale to it. And as such I enjoyed reading it a lot.

John has a different problem. He has lost a lover, and with that, his love of life. He realizes he’ll need a kick start and books a one night stand for his vacation. His shock and surprise at meeting Travis are palpable, his feelings about having been tricked had me doubt this could even go anywhere. The more I saw of John, though, the more I got to like him. He may be a wounded knight in shining armor, but he is nonetheless exactly who Travis needs.

If you like hot men with significant emotional issues, exotic holiday settings and a few ups and downs as new lovers get to know each other, you might like reading about this sensuous, and very erotic dream.

This was a terrific little e-book. Yeah, plenty of sex (no complaining from me), but with heart and depth of characters and romance thrown in for good measure. I like reading something that can deliver bigger in a smaller package. I really enjoyed Bear It All and I really liked both Travis and John. Review at - http://ontopdownunderbookreviews.com/...

I really enjoyed this, but I guess I was hoping for what happens after, ya know. Travis and John were great, wished I could have seen more of them.

After reading the last story in the 1 Night Stand series by this author, I went and sought out this installment. I still enjoyed the story and the author’s style, however the insta-love ending rather put a damper on my enthusiasm. Travis has written his bar exam and to celebrate has booked an encounter with 1 Night Stand agency at a resort in the Caribbean. He knows what he wants, a big bear who will make him feel safe. He’s got instructions to wear a particular shirt and wait by the pool and pretend it’s an unexpected meeting. His excitement about the whole experience, along with a bit of trepidation, was well done and when John shows up at the pool, Travis’ drool almost shows up on the screen. John is everything he wants, but the guy doesn’t seem to be clueing in that Travis is the one. When he finally makes it clear, he’s the guy’s date, he gets a rather unexpected reaction when the guy storms off, obviously not interested, crushing Travis.

However Travis is pissed, and wants his money back and to talk to Madame Eve, and also go and have it out with John and find out what his problem is. When he finally goes to talk to John, it seems he’s not quite what John asked for, and John is sure a young hottie like Travis doesn’t want an old hairy guy like him. He asked for someone similar to his dead lover, older, bigger, less twinky, but he’s strangely drawn to Travis. Finally they chat a bit and before long, the pull is there and they are making out.

This was where things went a little wonky for me. I get that insta-lust can happen, but Travis’ feelings, and even John’s, who wasn’t looking for someone like Travis, just moved too quickly for me. While neither said I love you, Travis at least was thinking it. Apparently one of the hallmarks of Madame Eve, is you get what you need, not necessarily what you asked for, hence Travis, not a dead ex duplicate. I liked that John was cautious of his size (in all senses of the word) and self-conscious about his body. He was not some big “I’m in charge and the boss” type guy. Travis had BTDT and had not great results. Travis was the one who kind of pushed them forward.

So on the whole I enjoyed it, but I would have preferred if the author hadn’t tried to rush the connection as they had a week to spend together and I would rather have seen them make that strong connection a bit later. Still, it was sexy and sweet, as John was perfect for Travis, and I do enjoy reading about Caribbean resorts.

I'm going to reread and review this one too.

I read this one when it first came out in 2011.
I decided to do a reread and write a short review.
This book is part of the 1NightStand stories, where Madame Eve( the mysterious lady that she is) matches up people who are perfect for each other, even if they might not recognize it themselves.
That is the case with John, his long term partner Kurt died three years ago, and although he wants to move on he is having a very hard time actually doing it, so he decided to try with Madame Eve's help.
Travis is a recent law school graduate and as a present for himself he signs up with 1NightStand and asks for a big, hairy, older Teddy Bear, he wants someone to love him, care for him and make him feel safe. He didn't have an ideal childhood and just wants a big ol bear of his own.
John doesn't think he wants Travis and blows him off ( and no not in a good way), Travis being a little on the tenacious side doesn't leave it at that and goes after John.
This is actually a pretty short story and heavy on the sex, and still it feels like I know these two enough to understand the attraction and the insta-lust/love.
it is a very sweet story at the heart of it and deserved the reread for sure. Oh and a sequel on their future would be great!

Merged review:

I really like the 1NightStand series.
They are (usually) quick, sexy with a touch of sweet. This one is no exception.
Travis is a 'twink' and really really really wants a 'bear'. He wants to feel protected and loved and cared for. So that's what he asked for when he sent his request to Madam Eve.
And boy does she deliver.
This is a really sweet story, despite the high sex ratio it still gives me warm and fuzzies and I would love more of these guys.
Favorite quote : “Good lord, Gracie would think he’d lost his mind if he brought home a hot twink as a souvenir. He could picture her rolling her eyes and telling him he should’ve just bought some shot glasses or a T-shirt like a normal person.”

Ooooh, this is a short very steamy read about two men who use a matchmaking service. Travis wants a bear - a big hairy real man - and Madame Eve of 1NightStand delivers with six-foot-five inches of rippling hair-covered muscle.

42-yr-old John wants .... well, he wants someone who looks just like his partner, who died 3 years ago, i.e. 35-50 years old, dark haired, fit and tall. But as Mick and the boys so eloquently say "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometime you find you get what you need." And what John needs is a lean lightly-muscled blue-eyed black-haired insatiable 25-yr-old twink.

What follows is one night of off-the-chain steamy sex, thoroughly, extensively and explicitly described by the author (hats off to you, Ms. Wadsworth!), and the start of a promising future for John and Travis.

I’m just randomly reading “bear” stories now…. Even with the cover and the hefty $2.99 price tag I decided to read it anyway because I am willing to pay for good porn. I liked the premise of this one but boy was it predictable. I could see how this was going to end from the moment Travis saw John. There was insta-love like a M.F., I just couldn’t get past that. The sex…meh. I also can’t say that I want to read about the last time you screwed someone Travis’s size and how you caused them to bleed and cry with only 55 pages. So yeah…no.

This is a sweet little morsel of a story about a bear & his twink...I would have loved a longer version of this story where they met more 'naturally' & we got to see the relationship develop from a holiday romance into a lovely HEA. I liked the fact that John was a soft, squishy teddy of a bear...it made a nice change from the whip-welding bears I've read about recently. This is a quick pleasant read but too shallow & quick for true satisfaction.

By skimming over the "hairy" bits, I found this to be a really good read! :D

Travis and John were, from appearances, complete opposites the bear and the twink... but, in reality, they have so very much in common. John's long ignored need to protect and Travis' need to be taken care of made them a match made in... well, let's just say Madame Eve proves herself once again! *grin*

Side note... it REALLY quirks me when the cover of the book is soooo not even close to being a visual description of the characters... There is NO way the man on this cover could be mistaken for John... where are the long, blonde curls flowing down to his waist? grrrr!!!!

John is a 45-year-old law professor. Travis is 25, has finished law school and has just done the BAR exam.
They both hire an online dating service for a fantasy one-night stand on a tropical paradise. Travis wants a sweet, handsome and smart man. He has to be tall, hairy and at least ten years older than him. He wants to feel loved, protected and cared of. John requested a man aged thirty-five to fifty, dark haired, big and tall. When they met, Travis is thrilled because John is his perfect match. But John is mad because Travis is nothing like what he had asked for.

John rejects Travis and he is so upset he wants to complain about the service and wants his money back, but he also wants to know what’s John’s problem with him. John tells Travis he’s not what he had asked for, and that he is sure such a cutie would not be interested in a hairy old man like him. But Travis convinces John he is exactly what he’s always been looking for.

After the misunderstanding is solved, they realize they are just perfect for each other. The chemistry and attraction between them is undeniable. And heat escalates when they start making out.

Although it is only about 20k words, the depth of the characters is real, they are well written and believable. I would love more of them.
This is a sexy, steamy, low-angst short story that I recommend.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I opened, on a whim, today Bear It All by author Deanna Wadsworth. I wanted something quick, fun and a little romantic to let me escape my day today. I was pleasantly surprised when I hit the end of chapter one and couldn't put it down. Bear It All has the perfect blend of romance, exotic locale, simmering sexual tension and angst between the two main characters, John and Travis. This is an author who knows to give her characters their head, so to speak, and let them tell the tale. This was my first 1NS story and the first story by Deanna Wadsworth. This was a short 50 pages or so and the story is a fast paced ride from start to finish. The author does a wonderful job in creating two characters that need one another yet are just afraid to reach for it. This author does an amazing job giving us believable and adorable characters in John and Travis. They were very life-like and had the same hang ups we all do. The writing was tight, story moved quickly and the sex was smoking hot but had an underlying tenderness you normally don’t see in such stories.

The main characters of Travis and John were perfectly written and very relateable. Who hasn't met a blind date and went in their head "Oh no, no way, no how"? But come to find out that they are the perfect friend-lover-partner, whatever you think of and this is what happens when John first spies Travis. He is put off by Travis's youth but Travis is more than a pretty face and with courage, he confronts John and from there it will take these two time to sort out their misunderstandings. Passion simmers between them and the reader finds themselves rooting for these two to figure out they are meant to be together through the book. The sex scenes are tastefully done and very hot yet their is an underlying tenderness to it that had me sighing is delight.

Bear It All is a wonderful afternoon delight on a cold winter's day. I look forward to reading more about Travis and John int he future and hope I won't have to wait too long for the next story. If you are looking for a wonderfully well written story that will heat your blood up and steal your heart, then grab Bear It All and settle in for a few hours of reading pleasure.

Short story about Travis and John. Each man used a match making service called 1NightStand. Each one filled out a form requesting what they wanted their date to look like. When there was a match made plane tickets were sent. The "couples" would meet by "accident" at a resort on historic Grand Turk in the Caribbean.

Travis is 25 and had just taken the bar exam. This was his gift to himself. He wanted a real man, big, strong, and hairy all over. He loved the way the hair felt against his skin. When he saw John walk into the pool area he had done the right thing.

John is 42 and trying to move on since, Kurt, his partner passed away from cancer three years ago. He hadn't had anyone in his bed since. He asked for a man that was close to his age with dark hair. When he walked into the pool area he scanned the area but didn't see anyone that matched. He walked up to the bar after a quick dip in the pool.

Travis finally spoke up and John was shocked to see him. John said no way and walked away.

Its short straight to the point. Its good for a one time read.

3.5 bumped up to 4!

How fun was this book?! I needed a Bear book to round out a challenge and I just so happened to have this in my smashwords library...worked out great!

I really did enjoy this story. I think it was meant to be fun & hott and the author pulled that off. It wasn't quite insta-love..there may have been some hinting but not quite there. I really enjoyed the U of M & Buckeye references...even tho I'm a Sparty fan, I'd say Go Blue over the Buckeyes anyday!

Sexy, hot, sweet at points...a great short story.
The whole may-december theme is a favourite of mine and I truly enjoyed the way the author works with it.
Travis and John are perfect for each other. John is everything Travis wanted and more, and Travis is everything John needed even if John wasn't looking for it.

Short and sweet.
I liked Travis and John together, they were just what the other one needed. I hated that Travis seemed to have such a low opinion of himself and johns initial reaction didn't help matters with that lol but once they got the misunderstanding out of the way, it was pretty hot and heavy. Kinda insta-lovey, but I don't mind them, sometimes it's just needed.

I liked this a lot! Bear it All is a short novella that features insta-love, which is a trope that I don’t mind at all. Deanna Wadsworth manages to pack a lot of story into only 28,000 words. This is also a good second chance at love story. John has decided it’s finally time to move on; it’s been three years since his partner died. Travis is not at all what he is looking for but turns out to be exactly what he needs.

This was a very enjoyable, quick and easy read!

As a former Ohio resident and life-long Buckeye I LOL’d when I came to this passage in the book:

John laughed. “No, actually I teach Law at my alma mater, the University of Michigan.”
Travis groaned. “I slept with a Wolverine? Shoot me now. If my OSU alums ever find out, I’m dead.”

Mini rant from this reviewer that did not affect my rating: the blurb on Amazon makes no mention that this story was published previously. This is a pet peeve of mine and I think authors do their readers a disservice when they don’t disclose this information.

BEAR IT ALL is a short but very sweet story about a young twink who likes older bears. The only trouble is, said older bear doesn't realise that he likes young twinks! This leads to a miscommunication at the beginning, but trust me, they soon get over that.

Fast-paced, this story takes you along for a ride as Travis and John figure out their feelings. I loved the epilogue at the end, as that gave you a sneak peek into their lives after the holiday.

A quick coffee-break book that I enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

2.5 rounded up to a 3.

This story didn't quite work for me as well as some of Wadsworth's other stories have. It just seemed that Wadsworth was trying to graft a plot onto an erotic adventure, and with the length of the story it just didn't completely work with either aspect. There wasn't quite enough story to justify some of John's actions earlier in the book, in my opinion, and what there was at the end came off as just a bit too instalove for my taste. There was a small paranormal element in the story but it didn't seem to impact the instalove aspect, which at least might have explained it a bit better.

Wadsworth's written some smexy tales before ("Secret Santa" is particularly good) that I've liked. And overall, this story is a quick read that's entertaining in parts. It was just a bit disappointing that it tried to be two things at once and didn't quite succeed.
