This book is about Dr. Nicholas Child and a decade of his leadership of the world-famous Black Dyke Band. It is a wonderful photo and narrative story of his early musical days and the route he took to lead the most famous brass band in the world. There are photos of competitions, awards, honors, performances, and its bandroom in Queensbury, England. The Yorkshire region has most of the finest brass bands in the world and Black Dyke is at the top.

I enjoyed this book because my wife & I are great fans of the Black Dyke Band, one of the top brass bands in the United Kingdom. This covers the years Dr. Nicholas Childs has been Music Director of the band. There are many photos.
