I am on Chapter 2. I couldn't keep reading because is too deep in experience, that if I continue reading I will take it as knowledge. This book opened my eyes like any other before, I have read Jean Guyon's book and Watchman Nee's book, both of them on Songs of Salomon, but this one is completely different. Thank you Lord Jesus for your servants.

This little book was a look at Song of Solomon in a way I had never really seen it before. It pictures the individual (me/you) as the Bride and Christ as the Bridegroom. It is tied closely with other Scripture, especially new testament and gives and overview of Song of Solomon pretty much verse by verse. It talks about salvation, being drawn away by the world, restoration, being drawn away by self and pride, once again restored and intimate communion with our Savior. It was a whole new outlook for me and I will never read Song of Solomon the same again!

It's kind of like eating one's broccoli. You know it's good for you but it isn't all that tasty. Very deep and metaphysical--The Song of Solomon interpreted as Christ the Bridegroom and the church, the Bride.

Taylor wrote a story about how the a Song of Solomon applies to God's love to us. It's a good book, but I found it a bit more theoretical. I thought Taylor would share some personal testimonies but there weren't any. However, it's a good book to learn more about that book from the Bible.

A great book, I was really challenged by the gentleness of Dr. Taylor and his emphasis on the necessity of complete union with Christ.
