Jede Geschichte in meinen Büchern erfordert stundenlange, mühsame Recherchen.

Jason Neal is a Best-Selling American True Crime Author living in Hawaii with his wife, who is also an author writing Women's Fiction as G.T. London. Jason started his writing career in 1989 as a music industry publisher and wrote his first true crime collection in 2019.

As a boy growing up in the 80s just south of Seattle, Jason became fascinated with true crime stories after hearing the news of the Green River Killer so close to his home. Over the coming years, he would read everything he could get his hands on about true crime and serial killers.

As he approached 50, Jason began to assemble stories of the crimes that have fascinated him most throughout his life. He’s especially fascinated by cases solved by sheer luck, amazing police work, and groundbreaking technology like early DNA cases and, more recently, reverse genealogy.

Reality

These stories are truly gruesome and horrible and unbelievable and so many other things. The reality is, these things really happened.

As usual, the research and organized writing keeps the reader interested. The words are straightforward and directly to the point. No guesswork or innuendos, just facts.

2018 52 Book Challenge - 31) An E-Book

This was a very good collection of true crime cases. I like the length of each case and I find it quite engaging. I hadn't heard of any of the cases before, except one which was because they were from my city.

Another great addition to this series

These are interesting case studies that portray the different paths that lead to a lifetime behind bars. My heart always aches at the cruelty directed toward innocent children.

Volume 10 of True Crime Case Histories contains 12 great stories for true crime fans.

Another Great Book

I love reading all the books Jason Neal has published in this series. I can always count on the cases he covers being ones I’ve not seen anywhere else. My only complaint is that it seems at least once or twice in every book he has a name switch that leaves me confused until I backtrack and figure out who it is supposed to be. If not for that I’d give them all 5 stars. Jason Neal is my favorite true crime author because his style is easy to read and stays on point. Highly recommend this series for any fan of the genre.

Gruesome but Great True Crime Stories

Surprisingly the story I found most disturbing was that of the abused boys of a lesbian couple. It was horrendous - the psychological and physical abuse suffered by the innocent young boys. They did nothing to warrant what was done to them and it seems their mother only tried once to escape her toxic domestic situation. I hold the Child Protective Services at fault as well as the two women. Their lack of concern and investigation despite receiving multiple calls from very concerned people about the boys was appalling.
The rest of the book was written in true Jason Neal style. Taking an awful bearly recorded true crime case and turn them into a stories you'd research further if Mr. Neal had already done a great job of presenting you with more than just the facts. So what am I supposed to do now Jason? I held back from reading his two books (Volume 9 & 10) then ended up reading them both in two days. Where is True Crime Case Histories - Volume 11?

This is one of the best true crime books I’ve read and that’s due to the authors style of writing. Each case is to the point and it’s told like a story from beginning to end so it’s always interesting and never confusing.

While all crimes are horrific and leave me wondering how someone can be so evil, the ones that really shock me are those where parents torture their own children. As a parent myself I already hate hearing that parents will send their child to bed hungry if they won’t eat their dinner (and other parents hate hearing I’ll make my child something else to eat) so it was horrifying to read how long some children had to go without food. As well as other abuse and torture. So just be warned about that as it’s incredibly heartbreaking.

I hope to read the entire series. I started at number 10 as it was on sale and my expectations weren’t too high as I thought the more interesting cases would be in the previous books but this book was interesting all the way through.

My husband gave this to me today as an early Christmas present. I know weird right? He knows I devour these in one sitting which is exactly what happened. A great collection per usual. The case called Where's Savanna is so eerie to me especially because you can see her last posts on Facebook before everything happened and it's so sad and tragic what happened to her. 5 star rating amazingly detailed and unputdownable.

While all of the stories were very interesting, there was one that just kept going and going and felt like it would never end. The people were beyond ridiculous and I cannot believe they were getting away with some of the things they did for so long.

Interesting but really lacked details of the victims/criminals. Just recaps of crimes. I prefer to know more about their backgrounds.

Unbelievable

I can’t believe that any human would be capable of treating their children in this manner, even animals would not do what this so-called mother did.
Obviously insane, where the children’s
safeguards that should have been in
place ?
