『토끼전』은 『연애제한구역』 본편 속 주인공 중 이은겸의 사랑스러운 별명 ‘토끼’를 시작으로 작가의 SNS에서 SD 캐릭터로 자유롭게 시작된 이야기였으나, 독자들의 큰 사랑을 받으며 외전으로 재탄생하게 되었다. 현대 오피스 로맨스물인 본편과는 별개의 이야기로 사극을 연상시키는 배경에 주인공들을 수인화하였다. 기존 팬들에게는 본편의 캐릭터와 비교하며 보는 재미를, 새로운 독자들에게는 부담이 없는 한 권으로 해당 작품을 만나게 할 것이다.

두 동생을 보살피며 당근 농사로 생계를 유지하는 귀 짧은 은겸 토끼. 그러던 어느 날 동생들이 고양이를 주워 온다. 그런데 자세히 보니 이건 고양이가 아니라 아기 호랑이?! 호랑이를 돌려보내려 하지만 동생들의 성화에 결국 호랑이와 동거를 시작하게 된다. 하지만 동생들이 집을 비우면 아기 호랑이는 인간의 모습으로 변한다! 더군다나 아기가 아닌 성인 호랑이라니….

밤마다 아기 호랑이를 낳아달라며 덤벼드는 이 호랑이로부터 속수무책으로 당할 수밖에 없는 은겸 토끼는 매일 지혁 호랑이를 쫓아내려 노력한다. 하지만 평소 귀가 짧다며 은겸 토끼를 외톨이로 만든 동족 토끼들과 달리 자신에게 모든 애정을 쏟는 그를 보며 마음에 작은 틈이 생기기 시작한다. 그리고 지혁 호랑이에게는 그만의 숨겨진 과거가 있는 듯한데….

Read this a long time ago as it was being released in English. This is the spin off to No Love Zone but honestly I liked this spin off series way more than the actual main series 😭😭 Very cute and the characters feel like they’re in an environment/setting that makes more sense for their character arcs etc than the office setting which limited them a lot imo. I’m also just a sucker for anything other than contemporary tbh.

Ich habe den Anfang des Bandes wirklich nicht gemocht, weil mir der Tiger einfach zu übergriffig war.
Ab dem zweiten Drittel entwickelte sich das ganze dann aber zu einem richtigen Highlight für mich. Schade, dass man die erotischen Szenen am Anfang so extrem grenzüberschreitend zeichnen musste und das die Zensur mal wieder eine Katastrophe ist. (Ausradiert/Lichtschwerter)
