---
The worst day of Eric’s life was capped off by him being kicked through a gateway into a universe filled with magic and monsters.
To make matters worse, he had to fight for his life the moment he arrived. Nothing could have prepared him for a world where everything either wants to kill him or eat him.
Or both.
Eric never saw himself as a hero. But the world he’s been cast into needs one badly.
It looks like he’s going to have to fill those shoes.
He needs to gain some power if he wants to hold his own. Oh, and stay alive long enough to take on the forces of evil.
If only that was as simple as it sounds…

This series was very up and down. Started out great, turned into dances with wolves in wannabe litrpg form (which was a terrible idea imo) and then became very good again. The biggest issues were the stat sheet thrown in more as an afterthought and not consistent or even logical at times.. And the details such as a bonding being broken and then back as if it hadn't happened in the previous book.. But over all it was solid entertainment. If you are someone who can stomach the dances with wolves nonsense and a little disorganization of stats and what not... I highly recommend it.
Coming now to the end of this series I have only one thought - wish I could be there. Absolutely fascinating and captivating story of one man becoming more than he ever could have imagined , including saving two worlds and becoming the hero. Wonderfully detailed characters and worlds, beings from folklore and mythology, perfectly bought to life in this immersive series. A joy to read for anyone who loves fantastic adventures.
Gamelit series about an average everyman character who ends up being thrown through a portal to a sword and sorcery world by evil corporation to be used as a test subject.
It was a fun and exciting ride on a universal rollercoaster ride through two realms. Good versus evil and hard battles between them. Working to better yourself to win on both sides.
I normally do not read books in this genre, however, I loved this set. I will reread it just to listen to Jim's sarcasm. I so wish I had a floating skull spirit ally. Great story line and world building.
This was a really good series, and was enough fun that I hope there are other stories following the characters. Lots of action, great story and characters, lots of magic, etc. I definitely enjoyed this series and recommend it.
Not normally a huge litrpg can okay have been converted here... Have to say I thought there was a little too much for scores in the early part and then a little bit enough approaching the end but these are observations only, the story was great throughout!!!
