I will NOT fall for the smart-mouthed, pretty-boy billionaire who owns Oakley Island. But his yacht is another story …
Love and happily-ever-after? It’s not for me. I’m much happier keeping everyone at arm’s length, focusing on my government cybersecurity work.
But then I push things a little too far and hack my way into trouble. When I need to lay low and stay off the radar for a bit, what better place to do so than on Oakley Island with my sisters?
With limited housing options, I reluctantly agree to stay on the yacht of the very annoying Benedict King—the billionaire who has been messing—flirting?—with me since we met.
I did NOT agree, however, to a voyage out to sea.
But I wake up to find the yacht that should be docked and empty somewhere in the Atlantic with two government agents tasked with babysitting me and one Benedict King.
Who also lied about being my boyfriend.
Typical rich man—thinking he can take whatever he wants.
But he won’t take my heart. Not even when I see his softer side, see behind his walls, see the real man behind the reputation.
Honestly, this might be more dangerous than any of the other trouble I stirred up. Because if I fall for Benedict King, I’m not sure there’s any hope of rescue.
Sadie and the Bad Boy Billionaire is a closed door romantic comedy with mild suspense, sizzling kisses, and a boat full of witty banter. The Oakley Island Romcoms follow three very different sisters as they renovate the house they inherited and find love on the island along the way. The stories are standalone, but if you like continuous stories, we recommend reading them in order. Each book is closed-door, with sizzling chemistry and swoony kisses only.

Awe my heart! It both hurts because this sweet series is over, and soars because Sadie & Ben got their so deserved HEA!
This was another perfect blend of heart, humor, broken people, and love conquering all!
Sadie & Ben were such a fun couple to have in forced proximity! Being kidnapped on a yacht makes for a fun experience. *wink wink* Their banter had me giggling!
Sadie finally SEEING Ben for who he was, and not how much money he had was one of my favorite parts! And seeing her coming to trust him and who he was and that she wasn’t her mom. Watching her walls come down and the connections she made with her sisters…so good!
Ben was just the perfect “bad boy” billionaire. He was so much more than his money. He was caring, generous, smart, kind, thoughtful, and the looks didn’t hurt. And he was so gone for Sadie!
I was ALL for this story! This series! 👏🏻 FANTASTIC!
Listen those epilogues were so bittersweet! (Mostly sweet! Had me all up in my feels) Thats all I’m gonna say about that…
4/5 stars
*I received this book from the author**All opinions are my own*
Once I started this book I was quickly reminded how much I love this author duo’s writing style. It just sucks me in, makes me feel good, and the story only heightens all of that for me.
I adored this story. It was different, and I love different. I love the complexity of characters and thoughts and trying to find that way to love. There’s reasons and depth and a raw truth that I feel in my bones when reading. Falling in love is hard y’all. And also Benedict King should be protected at all costs.
There were alllll of my favorite kind of moments. The soft, the take care of, the laughter, the swoon, and the amazing kissing scenes. WHY ARE KISSING SCENES ARE UNDERRATED Y’ALL, these were spectacular. I’m sitting here thinking of all the moments that I couldn’t get enough of. This was full of everything I love.
And getting those epilogues? I will not apologize for being an absolute sucker for that kind of stuff. Give me all the glimpses of life in the future.
The stories of Eloise, Merritt, and Sadie Markham have been an absolute delight, and this final book in the series couldn’t have been a better conclusion.
It was funny, witty, super romantic, and I loved everything about it.
One of the things I really loved in each of these stories was the significance of the sister’s grandmother. She was a huge influence on them while she was living, and even after she died, she seems to still be guiding them towards their happily ever after. It added a sweetness that I adored.
What I loved: 🛥️ Enemies to lovers 🛥️ Forced proximity 🛥️ Dual POV 🛥️ Fun sparring between MCs 🛥️ Steve the pelican 🛥️ He falls first and hard 🛥️ Handsome billionaire 🛥️ Reluctant to fall FMC 🛥️ So many laugh out loud moments 🛥️ Sisters building close relationships 🛥️ Eloise and Merritt 🛥️ Jake and Hunter 🛥️ SUCS agents 🛥️ ‘We ride at dawn’ 🛥️ Swoony kisses 🛥️ Epilogue and super epilogue
This series has been so much fun, and I’m sad to see it come to an end. The authors have done a beautiful job of giving each of these sisters their own unique voice and personality. It’s definitely one of my favorite series. If you love well-written stories with fabulous romance and humor, but also a lot of depth, I highly recommend this one.
I received an ARC from the authors but a positive review was not required. All opinions are completely my own.
A billionaire & a FBI hacker hiding from bad guys on a yacht find love - give me all the billionaire, forced proximity, opposites attract romance!
Oakley Island book 3 delivered the final book of this series. There was so much I loved here - dual POV, a billionaire MMC, forced proximity aboard a luxury yacht, the most entertaining crew, surly FBI agents, so much banter, Eloise & Jake and Merritt and Hunter, Steve the pelican (he's the real MVP!), sisterhood, swoon worthy kisses and so much enemies-to-lovers goodness!
I'm a sucker for a bad boy billionaire who's really a misunderstood good guy and Ben was utter perfection. I'm talking pack your bags and get ready to move aboard his luxury yacht worthy. Plus, his quirky crew were definitely scene stealers.
Sadie and Ben had great chemistry, banter and I loved watching her get to really know him and go past his crafted persona. He's such a teddy bear - but a rich, hot one! Plus, the 2 (yes, TWO) bonus epilogues absolutely left me grinning from ear to ear.
Sigh, every book from this entire series made my heart happy. I'm sad it's now complete but this my friends, was a heck of an ending! Highly recommend this series! Read it & thank me later.
I've enjoyed all the books about the Markham sisters but this one is my favorite!! I've been wanting to get to know Sadie as I read the other books and I loved learning more about her. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope because of the banter that flies between the couple and this book certainly had that. The enemies vibe is only coming from Sadie because Benedict is certainly interested in her.
"NOPE. That's feelings talk. And we will have no feelings aside from a healthy disdain." Can you tell Sadie doesn't want anything to do with Benedict (Ben) King? Well, Sadie says she doesn't want to have anything to do with him, but after being forced spend time on his yacht for her safety, a part of her is trying to change her mind about him.
I loved that Ben isn't the guy his image portrays. He's a good guy at heart and I loved how he took care of Sadie, even when she wasn't nice to him. Ben's a keeper for sure. I loved seeing Sadie's sisters Eloise and Merritt again and that all of them got a HEA. This is a great ending to the series we get not one but two epilogues!! There was so much to love about this book!!
Here are a few things I really loved: 🚤 Ben taking care of Sadie 🚤 Dual POV 🚤 Forced Proximity 🚤 All the cameos (Steve the pelican, Eloise, Merritt, Jake & Hunter) 🚤 All the banter 🚤 That first kiss 🚤 He falls first 🚤 Multiple epilogues!!!
Each of the Oakley Island books reads as a standalone but I feel you'll enjoy Sadie's story more if you read the other two books first. The authors really outdid themselves with that super epilogue. If you're a crier you might need a tissue.
I received a complimentary copy. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Sadie is such a fun, mysterious character and the last Markham sister to get her story–and what a story it is!
An enemies-to-love romance is just what I was in the mood for and from the start, it is obvious that closed-off Sadie wants nothing to do with Ben(edict) and his billions. But his yacht is a different story. Her job lands her in a spot of trouble and she needs to stay out of the public eye for a bit.
Although there is all the romantic friction that ignites some sparks, it was so sweet to watch Ben take care of her, fall head-over-heels first, and gently knock down her walls. I loved the cameos from Steve the pelican to Eloise, Merritt, Jake and Hunter, but it was the dashes of suspense in this close proximity setting that really captured my attention.
This story is now available on audio and the narrators are fantastic! It was so much fun to listen to this tale come to life and experience it this way. Many thanks to the author for the review copy.
Content: mild moments of danger/suspense/peril; mild romance
*I received a complimentary audio copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were voluntarily given*
A very fun conclusion to the Oakley Island trilogy that sees computer hacker Sadie falling for Billionaire Ben when she returns home to hide out and is forced to stay on Ben's yacht for safety purposes.
I loved the banter, the chemistry between the two main leads and the cameos from Sadie's sister but ESPECIALLY the two epilogues at the end that show us how the sisters are doing in the future.
Great on audio and definitely worth picking up. Many thanks to the authors for an early ALC in exchange for my honest review. The narration by Stephanie Rose and Rock Engle was perfection!
I loved this book so much! You’re gonna wish you could climb aboard a fancy boat, curl up on a deck chair, and binge this book! I am a huge fan of Emma St Clair and Jenny Proctor’s writing and this book lived up to all my expectations and hopes!
The BANTER!!! Top notch, I’m telling you. And the FLIRTING! I couldn’t get enough! Conversations went like this: banter coming from Sadie countered by flirting coming from Benedict. I loved it! And after seeing a little bit of their interactions in the first two books in the series, I was so happy to get into Benedict’s head and see what was really going on in there.
Stuck on a yacht! Could it get any better? I loved every single moment! Sadie and Benedict have the sweetest chemistry and I especially loved how well Ben took care of her. They are the best!
I LOVED seeing Eloise and Jake, Merritt and Hunter. They are adorable and lovey dovey in the cutest way and seeing them through Sadie’s eyes made me happy. Even if it made her a bit grossed out.
I loved the super epilogue!!! 🥹🥹🥹It made me feel so nostalgic and sentimental! I have loved reading these books and all the characters on Oakley Island. What a fantastic series!!
🔥: Kissing
🎧: AUDIO REVIEW The narration is great and was such a fun way to reread this book! I loved it all over again. Highly recommend in any format.
I loved being in Oakley again. If you have ever had a migraine you will definitely appreciate Ben in this book. He’s so sweet with Sadie and I love the way they tease each other. This whole book felt like a warm hug and I’m so happy I read it.
💻Sadie is a white hat hacker, working for the government, who’s stumbled on information she shouldn’t have. Forced to get out of town quickly, she decides to visit her two sisters who are now happily married and living on Oakley Island.
🏝️ Eloise is married to lawyer Jake and Merritt is married to contractor Hunter. Ben is best friends with Jake and Hunter. A billionaire, he owns the island and is obsessed with preserving its heritage. He’s also got a monster yacht moored there, which makes for a convenient place for Sadie to escape to.
🛥️Out at sea without her even knowing, with two agents keeping an eye on her safety, Ben finally gets the time he craves with Sadie. The proximity allows Sadie to explore her feelings for Ben, and maybe admit that maybe she wasn’t right about him being a bad boy billionaire after all.
📚We finally get Sadie’s story after getting to know Eloise and Merritt’s stories. With cameo appearances from the raccoon and a determined pelican, this zero steam cutie, has some low level scary moments in that I can guarantee won’t raise your blood pressure! Sadie is struggling to trust after a bad relationship and Ben knows all about supermodels liking him only for his money. Thankfully Sadie is as smart and sassy as they come, and I adored the dual POV where we can see just how smitten Ben is! ❤️
Read on Kindle Unlimited My rating 4/5 - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I received a copy of this as an ARC for an honest review. With that said, I had already loved the first 2 books so I figured I’d enjoy this one as well! What a great final book to the series. I really loved reading Sadie and Ben’s story! We got a taste for their banter in previous books so I was excited to see how their relationships would unfold. Sadie works for the government as a Hacker and Ben is the billionaire bad boy who is best friends with Sadie’s sister’s husband. She thinks she knows who Ben is- selfish, a player, typical “rich” guy… but when she’s stuck on his yacht with him hiding out from bad guys- because she hacked the wrong people, things start to change…
I loved how the epilogue brought the whole series together for the end. It was such a sweet story and though the series is over, I still want more!! 😂
This book was just very very cute. I’ve come to enjoy having a few cutesie fluffy books in between the usual ones I gravitate towards because they’re generally quick and easy to read and don’t have too much tension that makes me anxious.
I really liked Ben and Sadie’s story though it definitely progressed very very fast like exchanging I-love-yous within a week. Nevertheless I enjoyed it and the angst was mild but nice.
Overall, I think it was a good ending to the series and tied in the other characters nicely. I’m always a sucker for the big families raising their kids together so I enjoyed the epilogue :)
Can I move to Oakley island? I love these crazy sisters, I think I’d fit right in with them and all the friends! Great series. Closed door as expected, but the romance still hits!! I recommend reading this series 10/10!
I loved this whole series, but wow this book is the best of them! It really brought all three sister’s stories together and to a great conclusion. Loved it!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Sadie is a grump for sure. She will have nothing to do with Benedict King. And he’s just too nice and helpful, too hot and rich. (I wish the bad boy was more of a thing since its in the title but I love Benedict so much its not a huge critique). She won’t have him. Not in his boat or yacht. But life and fate make it so one more she wakes up on his boat. With government agents there. What did Sadie get into!? 🛥️ This fun romcom with swoony sweet moments and depth of characters. It’s the 3rd book in a series but it can be read alone. It has some favorite tropes! Forced proximity, fake dating (super small but its there!), she’s sick and he cares for her, mild suspense and SWOON with a grumpy/sunshine that’s a cinnamon roll! 🤤 it’s okay to drool over this book. 🛥️ Thanks to the authors for the e-arc. You’ll just have to read to see what animal makes an appearance in it 😎
Loved this whole series, each sister had a unique voice and personality. It was fun to watch Sadie’s walls come down and Jenny and Emma did an amazing job of peeling back Ben’s layers until we agreed with everyone else on the island: they are perfect for each other.
A not quite enemies to lovers, but with all the banter and back and forth of one.
Steve the pelican is my hero and I couldn’t be more happy he made a reappearance.
I thought the setting shift was perfect for this storyline and loved how they used the forced proximity to up the tension and the chemistry.
It was a fabulous cap to this series and I loved it!
“‘You are a rockstar, Sadie. A brave, brilliant rockstar.’ ‘Thank you,’ I say. ‘But it doesn’t mean you’re not stupid.’”
Getting kidnapped and held on a yacht by an irritating billionaire and two FBI agents is just part of Sadie’s normal life. Ha! Not hardly. To say Sadie is less than thrilled when that happens is an understatement. But the FBI didn’t give her any choice after she dug too deep into a criminal organization’s computer. And now she’s stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean with the last person she wants to be around.
While it’s always hard to say goodbye to fictional places I’ve loved, I loved the final book about the Markham sisters in Oakley Island. (Although, there could be another book at some point with another character with ties there, so you never know! 😊) I mean, what’s not to love about an enemies to lovers, forced proximity, billionaire romcom? Especially when it’s written by Emma and Jenny! I loved all the flirtatious banter between Sadie and Ben, and I loved seeing some of the other characters I loved in the other books. This was a fun way to end the series! You could enjoy this without having read the others, but they are all such fun books, so you should probably just read them all!
I received an advanced copy from the authors. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a book about a modern day billionaire. Never thought it was my thing. I’ve read the other books in this series though, and my curiosity about the sparks between Benedict and Sadie was peaked.
I really liked closed off Sadie and the situation she finds herself in that brings her into Benedict’s sphere. There’s nothing like forced proximity to really get to know someone. Sadie thinks she knows Ben, but maybe he’s not who he seems to be!
No spoilers, but I loved the part where Ben takes care of Sadie when she needs it. I’ve always loved books where we get to know the layers of different people. It was fun watching Sadie take the time to get to know the real Ben. But how on earth will closed of Sadie let someone in? That too was fun to watch unravel.
If you like quirky towns, romance, and a bit of adventure, this one’s for you!
This audio is fabulous! I am normally all about single narrator books, but this dual narration brings this story to life! It is a light-hearted, banter-filled, full of swoon read.
Benedict, not to be called Benji by any spec-respecting person, is a billionaire with a carefully crafted reputation. It helps to keep unwanted people at bay.
Sadie is an at home hacker who finds herself forced to face her hometown without her loving grandma. Don’t get it wrong, she loves her memories of Oakley Island, but isn’t sure she’s ready to go back yet.
When things get dicey, can Sadie put aside her distaste for Ben and his reputation?
Listen to this book if you like: 🛥️ Government Agents 🛥️ Staying on a Yacht 🛥️ Surprising Siblings 🛥️ Friendly Bickering 🛥️ Supermodels 🛥️ Getting Past the Reputation 🛥️ Sweet Gestures 🛥️ Head Massages 🛥️ Running Away 🛥️ Small Town 🛥️ Listening to Your Heart
Content: mild descriptions of bad boy reputation, respecting boundaries, handful of Bible swears, romance- cuddling, make outs, kisses, references to sexual intimacy between married couples, steamier (for me) but still clean
I received a complimentary copy; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Ummm how was the romance you ask ? Only the sweetest thing ever. Ben is THE MAN. The way he takes care of sadie and is always SO thoughtful?? Oh my god PLEASE BE REAL ALREADY
And sadie was the best Fmc ever she was brave, funny, and a little afraid of commitment lol. But her character development was EVERYTHING
Ben is a billionaire. He has a yacht/boat (depending on who you ask lol) He's obsessed with sadie from day one. Going to extreme lengths to see her smile. Taking care of her when she's sick and making sure she's safe always. It's hard not to fall in love with him 😭
The book had a little bit of action at the end which made it more perfect and made their get-together moment super cute <333
I really enjoyed the plot as well as the main and supporting characters. I'm glad I read this series; it was fun to read the back stories of Naomi, Liam, and the rest of the Markham family.
This book had my favorite things: snarky dialogue, satisfying love story, quirky characters, and an HEA.
NOTE to my fellow Virgos or anyone who needs to read books in order: Read "As You Ice It" first before reading the bonus epilogue.
I loved being back in Oakley Island for this book so much! I could go back right now. It’s just the sweetest place! And Sadie and Ben were the dream team for this book. I was caught completely off guard with how this one went. I am notorious for going into books completely blind. I love the full-scale surprise that comes with reading a book without knowing anything. So I was already going to be surprised with this one, but I could not have predicted how this one would go down at all. And I was very pleasantly surprised. The forced proximity with Sadie and Ben was delicious! The relationship between these characters is complicated, but deep. They have a lot of richness and complexity that makes them so interesting and compelling. Other things I loved: Enemies to lovers Trying to save her The dancing Opening of the Inn Forced proximity Taking care of her The yacht The banter He falls first The suspenseful moments Flirting Number of cameos from Merritt, Eloise, Hunter, and Jake The yacht employees Steve the Pelican The first kiss All the kisses Alllll the epilogues — yes, I wrote that right This book has everything going for it. The development is super good, and it’s balanced perfectly with some humor and light moments. And the swoon is fantastic! I loved this series and I’m kind of sad to see it come to an end. Good thing I can reread, because Jenny and Emma really know how to put out a phenomenal book.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Narrated by Rock Engle and Stephanie Rose — I love this narration duo! They captured the characters and scenes so well and I loved this listen!
**Many thanks to the author and Podium for the ALC. A positive review was not requested or required. These thoughts and opinions belong only to me.
I was so excited to finally read Sadie's story in Sadie and the Bad Boy Billionaire. The first two books set the scene perfectly for Sadie and Ben. I highly recommend reading the series in order.
I really need to stop seeming so eager. I'm practically a Labrador retriever waiting for someone to throw me a stick.
I was here for:
⚓witty banter
⚓hidden gems of wisdom
⚓Banjo
⚓yacht setting
⚓character growth (Sadie & Ben)
⚓slow burn romance
⚓the epilogue
⚓ super bonus epilogue
I hate that almost twenty-seven, I'm still turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms I used as a kid. I've been through therapy, for crying out loud! Shouldn't I be better about things like this?
Sadie is the middle sister and has always been the peacemaker between her sisters, Merritt (the oldest) and Eloise (aka Lo, the youngest). However, with them both living on Oakley Island and married, Sadie is feeling a little displaced. When something comes up at work, and she needs to get out of dodge, she immediately heads to her sisters', not realizing the danger she is taking with her.
Ben is a billionaire, with a playboy image. Sadie is determined not to like him, even though they have had a battle of wits going for a few years. Forced proximity has Sadie questioning everything she thought she knew about Ben.
I appreciated the authors mixing things up with a minor mystery. Unfortunately, it fell short for me. It needed more, or to not be there at all. It did not spoil my enjoyment of the story, and again, I appreciate the author's attempt. The biggest annoyance to me was the minor cussing. It's not a lot (maybe 5-6 times the entire book), but it was enough to annoy me and pull me out of the story each time.
Thank you to the authors for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
