My half-human side has always made me an outsider, but now it’s threatening my life. In a new pack, where meeting my fated mate could mean my death.I’m an omega – half human, half shifter, raised by a pack of wolves. And they’ve spent every day of my life reminding me that I’m inferior to them. So when I’m promised to the son of our distant allies, it should be a relief. You know, if I didn’t mind being given away to a complete stranger. And if my father hadn’t lied about what I really am. If anyone in my new pack finds out I’m half human, my life will be on the line. My best hope of surviving? Getting out of dodge before anyone can work out my secret – and that’s exactly what I plan on doing. So this would be the absolute worst moment to meet my true mate. And it’s not the man I was promised to. It’s his father.
Gifted to the Wolf is an age-gap shifter romance with a guaranteed HEA ending…eventually. Get it now.
I thought Kade was well written. For about the first third or so I couldn’t decide if he was going to be a villain or just a decent guy (for an alpha) or even if this was going to be the rare ‘fated mate rejected for actual love’ story. The uncertainty held my interest.
Then it got very trope-y. Male MC emotionally damaged and guilty for things that were obviously not his fault. Female MC an idiot. Kept trying to escape essentially the exact same way. Lots of logic gaps. Like only her brother tells her to keep her omega status a secret even though if her new much more powerful pack finds out there will be a war with the old one. Wha?? Stuff like that.
Sorry the promise of the first few chapters didn’t hold up.
I didn’t expect to really like this after reading some reviews but I loved it the MFC was childish at the beginning but her inner dialogue had me giggling the Romance is what made this story for me and I was hooked I couldn’t put this book down I was lucky enough to get this as an arc I haven’t read many shifter Romance books but I had to give this five stars don’t take nothing to series I found this book entertaining and I really enjoyed it
Definitely save your money. I gave up around 3/4 through the book. So many issues. 1. I hate stupid female main characters and I would be hard pressed one worse than this one. - She constantly attempts to escape and preemptively celebrates escaping before she has actually escaped and she is always caught. - She hasn't collected any information on the pack location, size of land, neighbours, possible destinations, let alone how to get there. - She constantly says shit she can't back up or lies.. this behaviour is repetitive and boring. - Has the mental maturity of 12yr old
The writing is juvenile, repetitious and so boring. The book could easily be 100 pages shorter just by removing the repetition....because the mental monologues just repeat and repeat the same crap. Are you annoyed by my use of the word repeat/repetitious yet.. because this still isn't as annoying as this book.
The character development of all the characters is sloppy, illogical and inconsistent. The main male character is supposedly several decades in age and has been pack leader since quite young apparently. Yet has absolutely no leadership qualities, people management skills. He can't even have an adult conversation with his son about being an idiot about how badly he handled the true mate bond. He should have atleast privately had a conversation, apologised for being a moron instead of being an asshole and telling his son, he is taking his sons to-be-bonded because she is his true mate that he failed to acknowledge when his son presented to him. I strongly doubt the author actually wrote this book. I suspect it's been primary written by AI. This book is so bad if I could I'd demand a refund. God I wish I could give a negative rating, it's not even worth the 1 star.
I'm taking away stars because the main wolf character's name was Jessica......... And because of grammatical errors.
It could have been longer & spicier
*SPOILER* . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Kade's secret should have been revealed or he should have died when attempting the challenge! Also, Jace shouldn't have ratted his sisters secret! Wtf. Man
So in this author's shifter world, omegas are shifters that are half-human, and are lower than worthless. I actually dislike that the author chose to use that term for them, because I found it confusing. Not that I didn't understand, but that everytime I read the word omega it pulled me out of the story because I had to remember that omega here didn't mean omega.
Jess was a total immature PITA but then she was only 18.
I hated this... The MMC was annoying - however the possessiveness is what I was here for. I liked the age gape - what can I say; I am a sucker for that...
The FMC was annoying as heck, all the 'must got to mate', 'find mate.' Shut up.
I would have rated this book a .22 if that was possible.
Oh I do love a good twist and this book had one big perfect twist you definitely don’t want to miss. Absolutely loved this story. One Brat of a FMC and one very big teddy bear alpha 😜 100% entertaining, well written, binge worthy and a brilliant and sensational hea
A book about a girl who is an omega wolf. Who has been tortured her entire life. Then she is bargained to a man from another pack. But when she gets there she finds out she's a fated mate to her soon to be mates dad.
By pg 91, I was pretty well over the whole "he's our mate, go to mate" like a broken record.
Her entire reason for being is to gain the attention of a man who doesn't want her as if pining for somebody who's repeatedly rejected you isn't pathetic in the extreme. And the childishness, good grief, this girl is so incredibly childish and she cannot stop lying and hiding truths, I was over it almost immediately. I get not telling them she's an omega because she didn't want to die, but not telling him about his son's comments and always assuming she knows what the outcome will be if she actually provided information, when she doesn't know any of these people, their customs rules much of anything really she's a stupid as a box of rocks and actually too stupid to live.
But if I had to read one more line singing the jerk Alpha's praises and going on about how it's her mate and everything is bliss because he exists even if he acted like he hated her, then refused to claim her all while using her as a convenient sexual outlet, I was going to puke or throw my device across the room. Enough already, wake to reality stupid wolf/girl he wants you for sex but nothing else, or at least come up with some new lines and come to the realization that you're a complete doormat and allow yourself to be used.
So now on to storyline development: this was one of the most repetitive books I've read. Not only were situations repeated (the scene where Kade grabs her and kisses her and she pushes him away, not to mention the half-witted escape attempts that were practically duplicated with the exception of the one where she was nearly raped) but phrases, and childish behaviors (oh I stick my tongue out at people in comic relief but only once in a blue moon not every other minute), and the repetitive nature of how this female lead could not learn from her mistakes, it was like the author hit copy and paste recycling scenarios by adding slightly different twists over and over again instead of trying new material or new situations. Let's just say I'm at 85% and I'm about ready to quit because I'm tired of reading the same thing over and over again and I'm really sick to death of her lying and thinking she knows what's best in every single situation when she doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground and hasn't bothered to learn.
So the storyline was good but dang did this book dragg on for so long. It kept going in loops & there was nothingju exciting or different. The main characters were ok but the childish complaining killed. I was ready for the book to be over.
Wattpad but in a good way if that makes sense.. the fmc is a bit of a brat but I totally ate up lol ! Honestly it's such an easy read and quite enjoyable , so if you are in your wolf era and want some wolfs banging in your life this is the one 👌
It's one sided POV. It would've been good to read Devlin's POV. I think because it was only Jess' POV it seemed like I was missing something. Other than that it was good, but it had more potential. Story 3/5 Steam was 1/5 🌶
This was easily one of my favourite reads of 2025 it was fantastic i read it in on sitting as I couldn't stop devouring the story was that good cant wait to get more of chases books she has fast become one of my top ten authors xx
I love this age gap shifter romance! Our lead is sassy and a bit of a brat...but we love that for her. While she does have a little woo me energy, she grows into who she needs to be. Our lead male is dominant and is totally an a hole when needed.
Such a good book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author has a way of bringing everything to life and I was completely enthralled. I love it
