It’s taken a long time to catch up for girl’s and women’s football in Australia. Being banned and frowned upon didn’t help much. The Matilda’s have not only caught up, but thanks to Sam and team, surpassed the male dominated Australian football circus. With the World Cup on our doorstep this book is 100 % Inspiration.

This was cute, basically a kids version of ‘The Matilda Effect’ and so definitely one I’d recommend to young soccer fans! Had some interesting bits of info I didn’t know and I like how there was an emphasis what it takes to become a Matilda - the emphasis these women all put on growing the game for the future and encouraging young girls is so admirable.
