Prime Mating Agency #7

Casada Con Una Bestia (Agencia Primaria)

Rate this book

It started off a bit immature, but sucked me the fuck in once the MCs got married and got aboard their spaceship. I ended up reading this in one sitting, but ofcourse. My guy has double of everything, yes everything, and I never knew until now how delicious the prospect of being caressed and petted by 4 arms is, how wonderfully overwhelming that can be.. my eyes are glazed as I write this.. I will never forget this new.. kink, and I'll be including wishing for a 4 armed beast in bed in my long list of things I want if I ever cross paths with Santa.
Also, it would be so wonderful and warm to be hugged by a man with 4 arms *wipes tear*. I'm not always a pervert you know, just maybe 80% of the time 🤷
I definitely recommend reading this book for funsies, but first I want to mention two things:

- The FMC was extremely enthusiastic about being paired with an alien mate by Kayog Voln's legendary matchmaking abilities (and I tell you, sometimes I feel like he's half the draw with this series, love the big floofy wisdom-filled birb. My feathery man is EPIC) but her enthusiasm did come off at times as a bit childish, immature and gave off some fetishizing vibes in that meeting with Kayog.. I blame this on the way her dialogues are written. It was a bit weird initially, but the book itself gets better.

Trigger warning for women/people who are/have been thin-shamed:

- The MMC expressed his preference for a woman with curves (which his human mate had, he was pleased with that and told her so when she felt insecure) but what was completely unnecessary was that he had dialogues (2-3 times in the initial chunk of the book) where he praised curves on a woman while stating he didn't want a "bag of bones" or a woman who's a "toothpick". It is absolutely possible to express your preferences without shaming/alienating an entire group of people who don't match it. That was uncool. I know this can put people off to varying degrees so a warning felt necessary, and while I wasn't personally triggered it made me want to knock off another star. What stopped me from doing that is that the story got really engaging after this initial chunk and left me feeling good overall.

Both are really good to each other, her integration into a new society with strange faux pas she kept committing that she was completely and blamelessly unaware of was hilarious, and we see these two MCs meet up with the MCs from I Married A Naga and that's really nice. I loved the take on the ethics of winning vs losing of the new clan she's married into, and the perspective shifts for both of them as well as the clan and the Nagas. These books are quite simplistic and cheesy but that's the easy charm of them. They're reliable, predictable and low on angst. Regine could keep writing these books forever and I could keep reading them.
+ LOVED those illustrations at the end of the book! 😀

**4.6/5 stars**

Always a pleasure to see a new release for the Prime Mating Agency series. I finally got the time to read it and I enjoyed it very much. This one is tied with the second book in this series: I Married a Naga . The hero here, Bayron presented as a competitor in a hunting competition, who worked around the rules to try to get ahead, earning a bad reputation due to his unethical way of hunting. Well, in I Married a Beast, we get to know him better and learn that in his culture, everything is fair game, and one should use his wits to win.

On the other side, we have Annabelle, or Belle as she likes to be called, who's always dreamed of marrying a monster. When she finally gets to meet with Kayog to try and find a husband, she is ecstatic and can't sit still. She is even more on board when she sees a picture of Bayron who makes her feel all tingly. Bayron didn't really look to find a mate but when Kayog convinced him to give it a fair try, that Belle was his perfect match, he didn't see a point in refusing.

“Just so you know, I’m going to make you like me, Bayrohnziyiek Skortheatis. I’ll make you head over heels for me.”
He snorted. “Challenge accepted, my mate.”

Their first meeting was adorable. I loved how grumpy and embarrassed Bayron was. His species being of a protective nature, he showed possessiveness right away. I also liked the contrast between him and Belle. She was an absolute sunshine and super compassionate and eager to get to know him better. At first, I thought she would annoy me in the long run but instead, she grew on me. She was lively and creative. Their interactions were always sweet. I loved that Bayron couldn't resist Belle when she wanted to cuddle, even if he wasn't used to that. They could have different opinions, but it never ended up in arguments or in unnecessary tension. The way they compromised with each other was endearing.

I glared at her for a while longer, annoyed by her lack of submission, flattered by her need for contact with me, and aggravated by how pleasant she actually felt on me. The wretched female was truly trying to soften me.-Bayron

The intimacy between Bayron and Belle was quite hot. A problem that I often see when a hero is double-endowed in a story like that is how there's never a proper double you-know-what scene, -but fear not ladies, we are not robbed from such a scene in this one. And it was a very satisfying one at that! Sizzling, I tell you!

“As for the Zamorians’ mentality, they can be quite ruthless, they love to brawl, they’re extremely dominant, super possessive, and always need to win at all costs.”-Kayog

I loooved the Zamorian culture a lot. The male who were interested in a female had to show her how scary he could be to prove he'd be the best to protect her and their potential offsprings, most suitable to mate and claim. The claiming ritual being fascinating too. The sweetest thing about this matriarchy was how the males were quite big, rough and scary but total cinnamon rolls towards their mate. Caring and providing. I loved that a male's braid also had so much meaning, that only his mate could touch, braid it and adorn it to her liking.

“Our females like to arrogantly refer to a Zamorian male’s braid as his leash,” I said in an amused voice. “In many ways, it is true. From the day we begin our warrior training, we no longer cut our hair, aside from a little trim to keep it healthy. Our braid is a sign of status and a source of pride.”-Bayron

This book is a standalone but I would still recommend to read I Married a Naga, as it'd give a better understanding of the situation when it comes to past events. Plus, every book in this series is a delight so you should just read them all anyways! The last one was a bit less by cup of tea, but this one here was perfect! I loved it!

3.5 stars rounded up

Any time one of the PMA books gets released, I have to check it out. I love that the series has continued to be low angst, high communication, and with a focus on adapting to different cultures. In this book, the heroine approaches Kayog (the matchmaker for the Prime Mating Agency who I love) seeking a match with an alien. Her fan girl moments over Kayog were hilarious too. Although the hero wasn't seeking a mate, Kayog does match them as soulmates. Because the search was initiated by the h more for romantic interest than need, there's no underlying plot of danger or potential conflict like in some of the books. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow/om drama (although the H does get jealous) and neither are virgins.

I really liked that the H of this one, Bayron, had been a bad guy figure in book 2, but now we get more context for his behavior and culture. I enjoyed his development so much. Belle (h) was a bit harder for me to like. A friend's review mentioned a feeling of fetishization of Belle being with a monster and I agree. This bothered me because until deeper into the book, I sometimes felt like she didn't appreciate Bayron for his unique qualities but rather how he was her "beast". I thought Belle did improve though and by the end, I liked her more and believed that she did fall in love with Bayron for who he was. He of course showed her in many ways how much he cared for her. This book in the series brings the first doubly packed hero so 4 eyes, 4 arms, and 2 *ahem* and yes, there is a DP scene.

Outside of these two adjusting to their relationship and learning about each other, Belle is also adapting to a new culture and getting to explore space with her husband. His culture focuses on winning and being intimidating but also protective and was surprisingly matriarchal. Bayron is a hunter who travels to different places to hunt, including returning to the planet of book 2 so we get to see familiar faces. Belle is an artist whose opportunities open up more with her marriage and the details about her work were interesting. Her family background plays a role in the story, but I wished there was more shown about her relationship with her father, who remained on Earth. While on Bayron's home planet though, there's a cool mating ceremony, an adorable (but intimidating) cousin who I want to have his own book, and some cultural snafus. An adorable stone wolf pup also joins the family and he was so sweet.

There is a great plot line involving others getting to see Bayron in a different light during one of his hunts and I thought this was excellent. Then an extended epilogue several years down the road with them settled in their HEA, successful, and proud parents. I'll continue to pick these up and fingers crossed Krogal (the cousin) gets a story sooner rather than later.

This one gives us Belle and Bayron and some Beauty and the Beast vibes. Belle is a human with a monster fetish and Bayron is the hunter from book two that was luring the Flayers to the locals that Serena saved.

This one is different because the couple are both down with the arranged marriage so it’s not a slow burn… and the H has 2 cocks. Belle’s personality is quite different than the previous h’s which could be a + or – depending on if she annoys you. I think the author was going for artistic/quirky/excitable… but she sort of comes off needy/desperate and pushy. She was very supportive of the H but didn’t really respect/tip toe around his culture like previous h’s.

Bottom Line- Ok, not bad – not awesome. These are all tame (even with the two cocks) and low drama/action/feels. I was bored some… the ending was the best part, but it took a long time to get there. If you like the series… you’ll probably enjoy it.

Y’ALL THIS HAD TWIN 🍆🍆 [eggplants] and yeah, there’s a scene WITH BOTH IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

I love the levels of communication the couples of this series have. It’s always treated delicately and with compassion. Regine Abel has a knack for taking villains of previous books and making them sympathetic.

Grumpy, considerate (but, as per his own insistence, NOT sweet) Bayron is a perfect match to enthusiastic, caring Belle. They complement each other well, and the flaws of each are strengths to each other. It was charming how immediately smitten they were toward each other. Bayron was absolutely confounded by Belle’s enthusiasm but adored her all the same. Belle‘s respect and admiration for him made the pairing always feel balanced and mutually adoring.

Learning about new monsters and their cultures is a highlight for me. It is refreshing every single time. In the span of a single book, Regine Abel creates worlds and characters that could be expanded upon in their own series, and yet, it never feels as if we miss out on any development.

A great addition to a wonderful series. Would it be unrealistic to wish it would never end?

Not me tearing up about a space puppy. 🥹

Once again we have a low angst soul-mates love story. This one is between a self proclaimed monster lover and a grumpy warrior alien. We actually have met our alien before in the I Married A Naga book in this series. There is a whole lot of communication, to the point of you laughing at how absurdly well they talk about feelings, but that’s part of the series’ charm.
Basically this is Bayron’s (our grumpy warrior) redemption book. He proves that we all love a cocky alpha who’s a big softy for his lady. Also he’s got double everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Eyes, arms…🍆
Final thoughts:
Krogal book next please!!!!

DNF at 30%. Sadly, I don’t think this series works for me anymore. This dude has no real faults. He’s so perfect and knows exactly what to do. He’s so good, he exhausts me.

And the heroine is incredibly annoying.

There is no tension in their relationship that makes me want to know more. I know they are soulmates but I still want to see growth.

I loved it! I knew I was going to love this book as soon as it opened with the FMC who’s a super excited monster lover that can’t wait to get paired with an alien. A woman after my own heart. That would definitely be me if it were ever possible. Just like kids waiting for their Hogwarts letters, I’m still waiting for my version of Kayog to show up and pair me off with my alien soulmate lol. Anyways enough about my fantasies and back to the book review.

This couple was adorable. The FMC is a great big ball of sunshine and the MMC is a grump who’s basically a big old softie for her. This book touched on so many soft spots. From the MC’s adopting a wounded pet to the MMC having his big hero moment and the sweet epilogue at the end. This book gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed this book 😁

*swoon*
I swear, every time I read another book in this series, the warm fuzzies it gives me just grow and grow.
I loved this book so freaking much.
The sunshine vibes Bella gave off, the grumpiness that Bayron exuded. It was perfect, and absolutely hilarious watching them together. So stinking cute with his grumpy thoughts and love/resistance to snuggles. So. Cute.

Plus there was growth and healing and learning between the two.
I love what this author brings in terms of world and culture building to the table. I really enjoy the learning moments between the Zamorians, and Belle, the human. It was just so satisfying to see them accept each other.

The sex was hot as hell. Plus, double the fun😏(🐓🐓…if you catch my drift. 😂)
The plot was simple but perfect.
There was action and danger.
There were sweet, loving moments.
There were fun playful moments with banter and jokes and silliness.

I just really enjoyed it.
It was exactly what I was hoping for right now. I’m so glad I caught it’s release.
Now I go back to impatiently checking back on the author’s page, hoping for a new release. Lol

4-

This was an absolutely amazing read and by far my favorite in the series. I knew I'd like it early on when the heroine approaches the mating agency because she's on the hunt for her soulmate but particularly wants a monster, fangs, horns, a tail-sign her up. Of course when the selector shows her some options such as an oozy creature she adapts her wants a little better and ends up with a growly four arm, four eye beast of a man. Bayron is the type of man every man/woman/and in between wants on their side. He's fiercely protective, obsessed and devoted to his mate. When she shows him she's all in from the start, he too is in it to win it. They have a few cultural hiccups to overcome but nothing will stand in the way of their happiness. The entire read was enjoyable from start to finish, I'm only upset their HEA had to end. By far the best of the series yet and now I'm even more excited to see who and what alien race will be next :)

***The illustrations at the end of the book are phenomenally well done!!!

These books never miss...

Man, every time Regine Abel releases a new book in the PMA series, I'm ON IT.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Monster romance, sci-fi romance

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Belle is looking for her perfect match when she gets paired with Bayron, a four armed, four eyed, 7-foot tall hunter with a cruel reputation.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I mean what is there not to love? It's a fun story. It's great characters. It's action, adventure, and plenty of spice. I have loved every one of these books.

The best part is that Abel writes these "monsters" of men as complete cinnamon roles. Bayron is a villian and just completely ruthless and rude, but for Belle? He would burn down the world for her. It's so fun to watch these men fall hard and fast, and then work to assimilate their mates into their new lives.

🔮 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲: Easy. Though the sci-fi aspect can throw some people off, it's truly written well and Abel even commissions pictures to help readers envision the creatures she's made (even NSFW drawings...)

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 3/5 🌶🌶🌶

Bayron was such a shit with his ginormous ego, but was very sweet to Belle. Sometimes this story got a bit too on the nose with the grumpy sunshine stuff, but it was still cute. I liked that he had a redemption arc and that we got to see why he behaved like he did in I Married a Naga. I would have liked a little more interpersonal tension, but Belle was a people pleaser, not prone to making noise unless it was in defense of her hubby or her relationship with him. She grew in confidence as well, in large part to a healthy relationship with Bayron.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: hunting, animal attack, violence, gore, injured baby animal, discussion of severe injury of child, discussion of child abandonment, discussion of absentee parent, mention of cheating (not involving MCs), pregnancy

Spoilers ahead

Came for the four eyes and two cocks 😂

I stumbled upon this one so it's my first read of the series

Belle signed up for the mating agency enthusiastically hoping for a mating with a weird looking alien....or really as non human but not terrible as possible. She's matched to the h who though not looking for a mate atp agreed to the match
We then go off on the journey with the newly married couple as Belle, very much human had a lot to learn about her mate and her new people's ways.

*******
I really liked Belle and her talkative, outgoing bubbly self. She came across a little pushy at times but I liked how she fully accepted her alien lover and was open to him and her new life. I'm not a fan of when the h is thrust into a new situation and she's just hesitant and longing to be free....nope grab that situation by the horns.....or braid and make it your bitch.
The H was ok, I liked how confused he was by Belle but so attentive to her. He was deliciously j/p which I loved. He came across as overly proud sometimes but hey alien culture and all that jazz
My biggest problem was how long this was, there was just no need for the book to be so damn long. I grew bored many times and put it down and struggled to finish it
I'm on an alien kick and had hoped to complete this series but I'm pausing that for now
Nice enough sexy times with the wonder of the two cocks though I'd hoped it'd be spicier....I mean 2 cocks c'mon

Loving this series 😍

Belle has full trust in the Prime Mating Agency finding her perfect match. And in her eyes, the more “beastly” the better - she might have a thing for monsters. Bayron wasn’t looking for a mate but he’s very interested in the human woman who seems more than willing to be with him..

Belle is such a character! She truly lets nothing bring her down or change her. I love how easily she’s able to speak to others about things they may be doing wrong or not understanding. She just has this way about her that’s hard to get mad at. Bayron is a hulking possessive beast obsessed with his wife. He adapts so well to her and his new life.. in such a sweet way.

And Ferach.. my goodness the epilogue was beautiful. I have no words! I couldn’t imagine a better ending for him.

I read this for book club (I swear), but I expected more fun-trashy and less... whatever this was. There is pretty much no plot. I love low-stakes, but this was pretty much just the couple getting to know each other plus some random events. You'd think the spice would make up for it, but no. The world-building is fine, but overall I did not enjoy this book. How on earth does it have 4.25 stars on goodreads?
Also I feel the author has a very narrow understanding of consent although it seems important to her.

This one was a pleasant surprise for me. We met this hero in book 2, and I never thought I would want his story, but I truly loved how this one played out.
