I read this book within a day… in fact not even a day, around 6hours after stumbling across the author on tiktok and I HIGHLY recommend! I haven’t read the previous two books, in fact I didn’t realise it was part of a series, which is great in a sense as it can be read without having to read the others! The author did a great job of pulling me in and wanting nothing more than Jack and Chessy to make it work!
I’m not understanding the reason to rush the whole romance, like you can easily put in “weeks later” or “months later” to show time has passed. Instead this book portrays a week and a half possibly two weeks of romance. Then they’re engaged just like that, go to Atlantic City the night they get engaged, then it flashes to 3 month later and she’s pregnant with a baby bump already?? Likeeeee??? Crazy speed honestly.
Overall it was good, just wish they had more time together.

This is a really good cute story. I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't have my biggest ick factor. And that is when the story is set in modern times and you have the MFC in mid-twenties or older (in this case 30) with a V-Card. The V-Card factor is a hard no for me under those settings. I normally DNF books when this happens (again has to be set in modern times with an age mid-twenties & older for it to bother me). But I saw the authors tiktok about this book and it cracked me up. That is the reason why I didn't DNF. I enjoyed the story but would have enjoyed it more without this detail. Clean romance stories don't bother me since I'm very versatile in my reading. But the older V-card in modern setting seems so unrealistic to me that it throws me out of the book (I know its fiction, but come on. In modern society now, it just a curve ball I didn't expect.) But if this is something that doesn't bother then you should definitely read this cute, light romcom.

I loved the characters portrayed in this second chance at love story. The author really "nailed" the characters' behavior and descriptions. One of my favorite characters was the five year old kindergarten child. He was so "real" in his actions and dialogue. Definitely, he showed that there are no secrets with them around . They also hear and see everything! It was an entertaining and I recommend it for a good weekend read.
Laura Burton writes a great romcom. I have really enjoyed this series. This book was a little more spicy than the other ones. I felt like the first half of the book was more about lust than anything else. There were funny parts in the book and the second half of the book had more depth to it.
Jack and Chessy was such a great love story. Both healing and finding a forever love for the two of them. Wonderful edition to this funtasticly fabulous all the feels everything and more series.
Jack and Chessy are my favorite type of couple, broody grumpy male and bubbly happy sunshine female with hidden insecurities. They have a battle on their hands with Jacks Ex Wife (who also happens to be Chessy’s boss) but every uphill battle is worth it in the end :)
I absolutely loved every single one of these books in this series. I had s hard time putting them down. I didn't even want to go to work in the morning if I picked it back up.
This is a nice romance with a little sex. Not graphically detailed sex but romantic and steamy enough. Better than a Sweet Romance, in my opinion. More stories should be written like this. Appreciate the humor. Look forward to more books from this author.
This book was a good palette cleaner in between super smutty books. It’s the cutest love story! Such an easy read and the HEA is perfect! Can’t wait to read another one from this author.
