Praise Me Sweetly

Rate this book
Reece and Daddy's white-hot story continues... will they get their happily ever after?

Reece

He's my daddy and there's no going back
I'm addicted to his scorching touch and filthy mouth
He's from a dangerous world
One I don't fit into
But I want him so badly
I need him but I don't know if I can do this...
If I become his forever it could end me

Daddy

She thinks she can't handle my world
I can't let her leave
She's become my obsession
I know every inch of her beautiful body
The way she sighs when I'm getting her close
I'd do anything to keep her safe
Which might mean letting her go...

This was an ok book. Not something that I will read again, as I didn't find the characters particularly engaging. One thing I do not like is when the woman calls the man daddy. I don't like age play, but if it your thing you might check this book out. Sex is unsafe and somewhat more than vanilla with some light BDSM, bondage, and sex toys.

**Review Shared for Duet**

There were so many things that didn't make sense in book one. In their POV they said certain things and thought certain things that made us believe the stories they were telling and then later on they say it's all a lie and other things are the reason for what they did.... It's all just very confusing and annoying. It's almost like the author wrote the duet without having any plan so they had already set the plot up for certain aspects and then changed their mind leaving us kind of reeling?

For example, when Reece stops things because she feels self-conscious of her body. Which is expressed in an inner dialogue, so we have no reason not to believe it. Yet later we find out that she was prancing around her apartment in her underwear and bra in front of her window in hopes of certain people seeing her? Not the act of someone self-conscious of her body, at all.

Also the whole thing with the key. By the second book the conclusion with that was the only thing that still made sense to go with. But it was still confusing throughout and ended up being a bit of a let down. What was in there... it really made no sense for her "dad" to leave.

There were sooo many plot holes to be honest... another one was when Reece finally opened up about her past and then Bryant had inner dialogue about finding out why she ran away from home? But she didn't run away from home? She literally just explained her mother left and she had to find ways to support herself? And what do you know. He wonders why she ran away and says he will find out but it never comes up again.

Also the whole "one night thing" but he talks about her being his and he is obsessed with her and obviously never intended for it to be one night only? So what was the point of even saying that?

In the second book she gets a manicure when they are back in NYC, yet they got one before they left and it's only been two days? She literally JUST had a spa day and did a bunch of stuff and then she gets a wax two days later? You can't get waxed for weeks after...

**Spoiler Ahead**

The fact that Reece was stalking HIM made the entire first half of the first book not make any sense. We could have done without that and everything else still would have made sense with the key bringing them to each other.

I think the idea was good. It just should have been executed better. Like having an actual plan for the writing that made more sense.

Also there was literally NO need for this to be a duet. Especially considering the only conflict in the second book was 1. solved off page. 2. literally boring and so so quick.

To be clear the only reason I finished this duet was because of the daddy baby girl relationship. And even then that was... more extreme then I am used to. Even then, the smut wasn't that great. It was just "yes daddy" "please daddy" over and over.

THE CONTINUING SAGA OF BRYANT AND REECE

The Daddy’s Obsession is a two-part (part one ends on a cliffhanger of sorts) story that is a Daddy Dom/babygirl saga of Bryant Long (Bachman) and Reece Bright. The one key factor that brings these two together in a game of cat-and-mouse is Matthew Sheffield, now deceased.
Part one ends in England, and part two picks up with Reece gaining the elusive key that Bryant has to a file cabinet in Sheffield’s office. He has dangled that key in front of her and enticed her to use it as bait to get what he wants from her—well, now she has the key and heading back to New York—yet Ashley shows up on the same flight. But that won’t stop Bryant from getting a jump on her—easy when you are a billionaire.

So, where does the game go? What is in the file? Where will that lead between Reece and Bryant? Does he still hold the high hand of cards or are these two on a more even playing field? I had a love-hate of this two-part story.

“You’re the best thing that’s happened to me. I don’t care who you are. I just want the you that you are when we’re together. Whatever comes with that. I can handle.”

“The one thing in this whole whirlwind stalker-turned-romance that I am sure of. He loves me. And I love him.”

Bryant: We’re perfect together. The match of a lifetime. Brought together with one little key.
Reece: Little did I know, that key was the key to my heart. And you unlocked it, daddy.
Bryant: Same for me, babygirl. Same for me.

The story is a Daddy Dom—little girl dynamic with power exchange and does contain dominance, submission, explicit sex scenes, discipline, duplicity, secrets, and danger. Don’t worry, when this one ends, we get a glimpse into a new story that will feature Ashley. She is a hard-working, loyal employee who is going to have her very own Bachman to answer to—and this one is for keeps. Coming soon, Mafia Captor, due out April 24th and available for pre-order.

Bachman Brotherhood... no thanks!

Okay. First, let's start with this being a 2-part book, which I don't remember being warned by the author about. Second, by the time I realized this was yet another Bachman Brotherhood book, I was already at the end of the first book.

Let me start by saying I don't like not finishing a book, but these books are awful. The MMC's is always a jerk from start to finish. This author tries to dress it up as uber possessive with a kink, but it's more than that. These men get off on humiliation and punishing with spanking for their perceived disobedience. They like to bring shame to their partners, and I can't stand the FMC's that are such simps that they just go with anything, including being humiliated time and time again. Don't get me wrong, possessive caveman is a total yes for me. Kink... I can deal with behind closed doors sexy time with a twist. I can even deal with spanking, but not for the reasons these Bachman men use spanking. It goes into the degrading territory and that I can't deal with. I don't like punishment to correct their perceived wrong behavior. I believe anything goes in the bedroom if you're comfortable. I can deal with overprotective, possessive, jealous cavemen. I think it's sexy AF, but I draw the line at humiliation in front of others and plain tantrums on his part because he didn't get what he wanted. That's just brutish childlike behavior, and there is no place for that in a relationship even though the author then throws in all the spoiling possible. Had I known these were Bachman Brotherhood... I would have never bothered. They are all the same... just immature men with punishment fetishes.

Book 2 of 2

Picking up from the cliffhanger from book one, the author made it seem she had a bigger secret she was hiding, he already knew she danced on a pole and he told her he knew she stalked him first with every intention to seduce him for the key...no big secret was revealed.
This book had a lot of fairytale shopping, spoiling "things" which ok, she is going to keep working.
There was a nice uh oh climax but it got cleared up so quickly. They got their HEA, nothing was resolved with Trevor the Dad who had the crush I almost hoped Ashley would end up with her but guess she knows too much and might get her own book and hot Bauchman.
I do wish Trevor was resolved.
Jack Jake cheating ex never came up again nor did her cheating bestie I was a bit put off that she just dropped all her old friends, I get there was pain but she spoke like they were all good friends she chose not to tell them her bff was a ho bag, I don't know didn't seem like she was fair to them.
Anyhow HEA spice 3/5 yeah he enjoys anal ok but nothing too Kinky. Book one seemed a bit more spicy.
I didn't like that he was upset she was on birth control wanted to knock her up but nothing was mentioned. If you have a man so needy and 20yrs older I expected his Dom ways to trash those pills and he to be pregnant in the epilogue
I need Daddy to get what he wants :-p
Overall a fun not stressful book even with mafia family connections.
A good read.

This story picks up right where Stalk me Gently ended with Reece and Bryant racing back to the states to Sheffield's office. We quickly get the answer to one mystery and then we have the push and pull between Reece and Bryant in the dynamics of their relationship. We see them both working through what they want and what they are willing to give to make this relationship work and feel their love grow stronger as they both face their insecurities.

Of course being a Bachman book we get the hot smexy stuff we all like (and it feels like more than in recent books). We see Reece develop a BFF relationship with Ashley and it was so nice to see 2 women bond instead of any jealously that Ashley could have felt. We get mystery and danger and then a HEA!

Seriously can't wait for Ashley's book and I am so glad we got this Daddy series as it had been teased in the Mafia Beast book.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is more like a 3 1/2 star book. The writing is perfectly good but again, everything just moves quickly. Reece gets kidnapped and in a matter of pages she’s found which literally correlates to minutes in the book. There is a HEA but I just wanted more … After the kidnapping in a matter of a page Reece is suddenly the director of her pre school then they’re on a trip that’s flown through as well then their wedding and then the end of the book, just like that. Even the epilogue is about Ashely and not Reece and Bryant - not even a mention of the pregnancy or their future even though Bryant talked about Reece being pregnant all the time. I get this a part of a bigger world of books - the Beauties and Billionaires and then all the mafia books. I wanted to read more but considering I didn’t get enough from this book or these characters I’m afraid I’ll just face that same disappointment.

Reece left Bryant at the end of Stalk Me Gently, and ended up on the same plane as Ashely. Somehow, Bryant makes it to New York before the ladies do, and beats Reece to Sheffield's office. Rather than being angry, he is relieved to see her. He proposes, and from there it just keeps getting better.

I loved the first book in this series. It was fantastic. This one is even better. If I could give it six stars, I absolutely would. Bryant is my favorite kind of Hero, and feisty Reece is his perfect heroine. Beautifully written, this latest Bachman installment is not to be missed. It is not a stand alone, but must be read following Stalk Me Gently.

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

What a fabulously sweet (with tons of heat!) ending to this duet.

This book ties up all the finishing touches of Reece and daddy's story while still riding a few roller coasters as well. A wedding, a kidnapping, and lots of sass!

I really enjoy how the author took this brief break within the rest of the Bachman stories to throw in a daddy trope - but it's in such a way that if you don't actually enjoy reading daddy books, then you don't have to read this duet to be able to follow the rest of the Bachman books that have been written. Looking forward to more of Shanna Handel's literary masterpieces in the future!

The continuation of Reece and Bryant's story is perfect. After the two are put into each other's paths by means of a interfering loved one, they have to figure out if they are right for each other or if it was just too much too soon. Once Reece accepts her fate, meeting all the posed, elegant Bachman's is just too intimidating. Rushing off to a bathroom to escape for a moment, everything will change. Loved! Now I can't wait for Ashley's story!

I absolutely adore how Shanna Handel is able write sexy, stirring stories that don’t go over the edge into questionable territory. Reece and Bryant’s story is sweet and well told. I loved that Reece’s character matured, her emotions weren’t as scattered, and her intelligence and goodwill came through. There’s nothing like a Bachman’s wedding, the vows the men make can bring tears to one’s eyes! Ashley, who I originally thought was going to be a villain, is next! Can’t wait!

Duet Conclusion

Instead of two books this is more like one long book, you can't really read one without the other and if you start with this one, you miss the build up fun, if you only read that one you miss the cliff reveal. Like most Bachman books some danger, capable, beautiful women, gorgeous ceremonies anyone might want to be a part of. Fun, the Bachman world is someplace that seems very enticing to visit. Once you know about it though there is no going back.

Book #2 of 2

☑️ Daddy & his shy girl
🔥 Smut
☑️ Billionaire older man
🆗 Struggling young woman

The continuation of where the previous book ended.
No drama, it basically is them finally getting together with no secrets and having a daddy-little girl relationship with plenty of smut.
Not much for the plot.

As always my respect to the author.

This was the perfect conclusion to the duet about Reece and Bryant. It's hard to write much without spoilers but let's just say you need to read it to see how these two get their HEA. I love everything Shanna Handel writes. The characters are so well developed and the settings described in a way that makes you feel like you are there. Looking forward to Ashley getting her own love story.

This was more spice than story... I just started to get into the story line and it seemed to be cut short to get to the spice. Now, I love me some smut! But I also love a really good story line. It wasn’t awful, and I did enjoy, but it’s my reason for a 3 star rating rather than higher.
I would maybe read the next story about the assistant and any of the other daddy books haha.

Reece and Bryant are back and boy am I happy that they are! Reece keeps Bryant on his toes with her not following the rules! He likes her being a little naughty so then he can spank her which they both like. He’s determined to marry her she’s not so sure even though she loves him.

I loved Reese and Bryant their souls just connected in the most beautiful way, respect, trust, protection and so much more working through their dynamic. They were never dull even through the danger and change you can see their excitement of what's to come and it puts a smile on your face.

Reece and Bryant utterly gutted me in this book! They had me balling like a baby.

And of course, thank the Goddess, we got Bachman style and the attention they give and the women deserve.

I can't wait to see what's next in the Bachman world.

Second in series. Ends the story of Bryant and Reese. Love how this author describes the rest of the family. Love how it sets you up for the next book in her Bachman series. Ends in a beautiful HEA.

Book #2 and the conclusion of Daddy's Obsession duet. I have been rooting for these 2 the entire time. Is a happily ever after part of their story? This book was as smoking hot as the first book and I loved Reece's character.

Absolutely fucking not. Dnfed at 25% I'd rather pluck my eyeballs out than finish reading this cringey ass "daddy dom" bullshit. It's fine in the bedroom but as soon as you bring that into public and force that relationship dynamic on passerby and random staff? Fuck no

The final part to Reece and Bryant’s story couldn’t have been more perfect. It picked up right where we left off and of course Reece should have know that if she ran, Bryant of course would follow. They discovered together that the key wasn’t really holding anything for her but made to be a perfect match for them. Bryant is of course worried she will chance her mind when he tells her more about the Bachman family. As always they Bachman and their beauties welcome her with open arms. Reece feels as though she’s not good enough, but Bryant makes her see that’s far from the case. I was happy to see Reece and Ashley become so close to one another. Reece went from being all alone to gaining a whole new found family. And would it really be a review of one Shanna’s books if I didn’t say Who doesn’t love a Bachman?! Can’t wait for the next one!
