Being leopard shifters puts us with the elite. All but untouchable. But in our world, that’s a dangerous game. So, when we hear our father is in over his head, we make it our mission to get him out. Only, things don’t go quite as we planned. But do they ever?
The assignment was get in, make contact, and get out. The to release their hold on my father. They needed him, though, and because of that, things got sticky.
When I say sticky, I mean the worst kind of sticky.
The bloody kind.
In the process, we piss off a very powerful man and accidentally get his daughter killed. Left standing in a room full of bodies, it's time to get out of dodge, and take the only bargaining chip we have with us. A nameless woman that somehow has something to do with it all.
Thorne Bay, Alaska. A town I heard about in passing, and one that might just be our saving grace. The last place on Earth anyone would think to look for someone like us and enough to buy us time. More so because we joined the local logging crew, blending in with the people around us.
I made one fatal mistake, though. The woman I kidnapped to use as leverage was not who I thought she was. When all is said and done, one way or another, I fear she will be the death of me.
What an amazing start to this shared world! The action, spice, and lumberjacks n a small town is the perfect combo. Love the shifters! Fantastic short read and I can’t wait to read the rest in this world!
You couldn’t ask for a better start to the Fated Mates of Thorne Bay shared world! I couldn’t put it down. I read it whenever I had an extra break, during lunch, and even lying in bed at night before falling asleep.
This is the story of Jin and Dhia’s romance, but Jin’s twin Yin is there for the wild and dangerous ride.
Jin and Yin have gathered evidence to help get their father out of the clutches of the evil Yong. Their meeting with Yong doesn’t go as planned, and they take a woman hostage when they notice she’s important to Yong.
Later they discover she’s Dhia, Yong’s daughter and the woman to whom Jin was supposed to marry due to an arranged marriage. They encounter many dangers as they flee to Thorne Bay, Alaska.
There are plot twists, danger, humor, and plenty of steam woven throughout Jin and Dhia’s story. Their story is an action-packed page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are wonderful. The story had some unpredictable parts that had me holding my breath.
The shared world stories are standalone, but they intertwine with each other. I can’t recommend this book enough!
Shared World, Shifter, Fated Mates, Twins...., Action, Family, Love and Steam - Have I got your attention yet; hot dam this book was GOOOD. This is the story of Jin and Dhia and how they came to be, and boy is this story is a doozy. You know, the one where they look back on and when people ask, "how did you meet?" they side eye each other and share a secret smile. Then make up a story because the real one is just too fantastic. Yep, that's this story. But this is also the story of two brothers (did I mention twins, DROOLING) and their love of family and them going the lengths to help/save dad. Ms. Everly has kicked off this shared world in style and I can't wait to see what the other authors come up with.
Id read this book out of order and id actually read Yin (Jin's brother) book first by sheer accident but having read this book now that book makes a lot more sense.
Dark in places Dhia (FMC) ends up being kidnapped by brothers - Jin & Yin because of sadistic father. It kicks off a journey across continents for all of them. As well as Dhia & Jin discovering more about one another and what they mean to each other. I liked their dynamic more so as the book progressed.
These are standalone stories but they intertwine with each other. Which i kinda liked. A cracking read
This is my second M/F book by this author, and while I tend to prefer RH, I loved this. Jin and Dhia are great characters, and the story has so much action and heat, it kept me engaged and turning pages from start to finish. And made me eager to read more of this shared world series. It's a rare talent to write a standalone story and keep it from feeling rushed or lacking, and Ms. Taylor has proven once again she has that talent in a big way.
As always Everly has weaved a tale of intrigue and romance. There's just enough balance of both to keep you wanting more. The twins are honorable shifters just looking out for family their loyalty to each other and Jin's mate is the basis of that. I'm excited to read Yin's story, I am certain his mate will be just as fiercely loyal as he is to his brother.
I really enjoyed reading this book and discovered within a few pages that I could not put it down. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for this story, slowing down and speeding up as needed. The characters seem so real that you feel like you know them and no matter what happens you will love them. This book has to be read, no doubt about it.
This was a great short story about fated mates! I love fated mates as it is but this also has an enemies to lovers element to it, which added some spice. Jin and Yin are loyal and loving, almost to a fault. They’d do anything to help their Dad. Jin would even put off having his mate to do so. Loved the action and steam!
The backstory and details of the families really made this book interesting. The characters were decently complex. I liked how the author challenged the loyalty to family ideas, as well. This story really had amped up action scenes, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I found myself zooming through the pages as the action intensified. I can't wait to read more from her.
I loved Jin straight from the beginning! My favorite quote
“if life has taught me one thing, it’s to not take anything for granted. Most of all, my time with you. I want you to be mine in all of the ways that count. My lover, my friend, my mate.”
Twins Jin and Yin work to release their father from Yang's control. The plan may be a trap. But they proceed and Jin finds Dhia, his mate. Through plot twists, danger, humor, steam and so much more our author guides us through her story. Her characters are so real as well as her locations that the reader feels a part of the scene. Everly is an amazing storyteller.
Dhia & Jin's story is one of challenges, and actions and is one I demolished in one day. Everly has done it again making me love yet another one of her amazing books. I wonder in Yin's story will be just as challenging as he is just as loyal and loving as Jin. Their loyalty to their family and mates are one I truly enjoyed!
What an amazing start to this series. Grab your favorite beverage and comfy chair because once you start you wont be able to put it down. This is a story of fated mates,Jin and Dhia. Their journey takes you on a bumpy ride but well worth it in the end. I can’t wait to red the others in this series.
What a great read!!! My heart breaks for Dhia losing the one thing that means the world to her by her rotten and corrupt father. Jin is intense and lethal, and very protective of his mate. Great characters and world building. Can't wait to see what's in store for Yin!
This story jad me hooked. Jin and his brothers thought they were untouchable. That is until they have to save their father and end up getting a powerful mans daughter killed. They kidnap another woman as leverage and the secrets that are learned will keep you reading
I am loving this series. Jin and Yin are awesome Leopard shifters and Diha is a beautiful Jaguar. It is ironic that they were already to be wed through an arranged marriage but turn out to be mates anyway!!!
This was a great book to start of this series. I do love pnr and this book was no exception. I loved Jin and Yin Characters and story line. I will look forward to the next one
Brilliant read. Jin has a mission to complete. His family has been put at risk and Jin and his brother must do everything in their power to make sure they are safe. Even if it means kidnapping a beautiful woman to ensure that everyone stays safe. But the Magic of Thorne bay has its hold on Jin Brilliant read. cant wait to read the next one.
