His accident was the end ... until she became his new beginning.
Amanda Bette is coasting, awkwardly but successfully, through life and her job. Nothing seems to be missing. Until Noah Murphy shows up at work. He’s a shell of what he used to be, keeping to himself and avoiding rumors about his life. But Amanda can’t stay away. And when her father tells her they’ll be working on Noah’s house, she takes her chance.
But Noah has left a trail of tragedy behind him. He’s closed off, reeling from the death of his brother, and simply trying to make it through each day. He hasn’t looked forward to anything. Until Amanda makes him laugh.
They can be friends all they want, but their chemistry is undeniable. And even if they act on that chemistry, there’s no telling whether or not they’ll survive Noah’s darkest truths.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Noah and Amanda come into each other's lives when Noah takes a job in Amanda's office. Amanda, never backing down from a challenge, becomes passionate about befriending Noah and learning all about why his eyes are so full of despair. Noah is dead set on not letting anyone in. He resists this pull toward Amanda until there's a moment when things become very real.
MY THOUGHTS:
Read this book. Simple as that. Kat has a way of creating characters that are real and feel like they could be your fiends. The way mental health struggles are handled in this story is really well done, with me nodding my head along to the feelings of our main male character.
My one small critique: The word and theme of "awkward" is a tad overused in my opinion. It definitely got better towards the third act, but I really noticed it while getting into the book. That's my only thing though!
I'm so honored I got to be an ARC reader for this! You can pre-order on Amazon now and the book comes out officially on April 11th!
This book comes out the 11th. If this book doesn’t get turned into a movie I’ll honestly be so upset! I received an arc of this book from the author and I could tell I would like it but I absolutely loved it. You follow Noah and Amanda as they grow into friends and the possibly more. When Amanda first meets Noah he’s incredibly shaken up and fairly traumatized from a car accident in his past that still constantly haunts him. He’s now like an onion of trauma and if Amanda wants to get to know him she’s going to have to work layer by layer to discover the real him. Noah holds a few secrets that he simply cannot shake. But watching the two of them grow together was absolutely incredible. I can’t believe how good the ending was. This had me devastated to put the book down after finishing it and leaving the two of them behind. Please look up trigger warnings, but I can’t wait to watch this book blow up like it deserves!
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wow. This book was awesome. The depth of the characters and their development throughout the story really hit me hard. The MMC Noah was just so broken, and his story really struck a cord with me. I could also see so much of myself in the FMC Amanda. In her awkwardness and that need to just fix what’s broken in the person she loved. And their gradual exploration of friendship that blossomed into something beautiful. Ugh it was perfect.
And don’t get me started on Claude and Oscar. Those two were my FAVORITE. I love a grumpy old man with nuggets of wisdom side character more than anything. Amanda had such a good little community of support with her sister Teel, Delia, and even Penny (good lord this character cracked me up).
Overall, I loved this book. Did it stress me out a little? Yes. But so worth it.
Kat Connell’s “All of Him” was so amazing, & it has been awhile since I’ve done this, but I read the entire book in one sitting until about 3am. This book was well-written & well-done on so many levels. This book was an easy 5 stars!
"All of Him" includes the following tropes: friends-to-lovers, forced proximity, slow burn, broken beta hero, opposites attract, & mental health representation. The MC's are Noah & Amanda. The side characters include Amanda's father Tony, sister Teel, Teel's fiance Delia, as well as her coworkers Claude, Oscar, & Penny. Other side character's discussed are Noah's brother Garrett (majority of the book), his parents, & his ex Morgan.
Noah’s story is extremely heart-breaking & heavy. Due to a tragic event that took place a year ago involving his brother Garrett, he suffers from depression, PTSD, & panic attacks. Noah has moved from Ireland back to America after hearing that his father passed away & mom went to jail - he is now working at Peabody’s (with Amanda) & living in his childhood home that was left behind by his parents. Noah does his best to keep his “demons” away by running & taking Xanax. he does not get close to anyone & pushes away others who try to pry into his life. Deep down, Noah is a caring, loving, & humorous guy with the best smile - we just don’t see that until Amanda breaks down the walls he has put up. Noah has tried his best to heal on his own… until Amanda.
Amanda is an awkward, quirky, caring, & easy-going FMC. She tends to open her mouth & say or ask things completely unfiltered, which tend to be funny, embarrassing, & can come off as intrusive at times (especially with Noah). Amanda also has a book of awkward/hilarious stories that she has caused or experienced - she tells these stories to Noah to make him smile & laugh. At work, she is known as a star employee, extremely helpful, & nice/funny to be around. She also has precious friendships with two of her coworkers, Claude & Oscar. She & her dad are very close & she helps him with construction jobs on the side, which she enjoys. Her sister Teel & Teel's fiance Delia, all live together & are extremely close. And Amanda doesn't really have any other friends... until Noah.
Noah & Amanda's beginning was rocky - between Amanda trying to get to know him, & Noah pushing her away. In a way, it kind of comes off as a tug-o-war between the two of them. Amanda is very much drawn to him because she sees a darkness in him, & despite trying not to, Noah keeps thinking about Amanda, wishing he could be somewhat of friends with her. When he begins working on his home, he unknowingly hires Amanda's father Tony to help him. Because Amanda helps her dad with renovation projects, Amanda & Noah are now forced to be around each other every Saturday. Overtime, Noah really needs a friend, & Tony encourages him to become friends with Amanda. After a while, they begin purposefully hanging out & Amanda helps him deal with his demons.
Noah's depression, PTSD, & panic attacks are discussed throughout the entire book. And although Amanda has never experienced anything traumatic, she is dead-set on helping him in any way she can. I believe that the topics of these mental health struggles are VERY well written about. Noah's journey of healing is also written extremely well, & his character development is so real & relatable. Noah works on himself, with the help of Amanda, & begins feeling a bit more positive about himself & his future. It was so heart-warming to read, & I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster at times. Noah letting Amanda in was beautiful & made me smile without really realizing it while reading it. No matter what happened, their friendship bond was unbreakable.
The banter, flirting, & intimacy between Noah & Amanda was so f*cking cute & precious. It made me feel all tingly inside haha. They tried to fight their attraction to each other so much, but failed - those chapters were some of my favorites. These parts were also very well-written, & I was impressed tbh.
Ok, this review ended up being long, but Jesus, it was so so good. I am so incredibly happy I reached out to receive the ARC, & thankful that Kat agreed to it. I highly recommend this book, & look forward to reading the reviews once it is out on April 11th!
This was a rom-com book that I couldn't put down once I started. Right from the start, I was captivated by the main characters - Amanda, with her quirks, and Noah, a broken soul. It was a cute little slow-burn romance that had me waiting on the edge of my seat. The character development was top-tier. As someone who has been dealing with mental illness for several years, I found myself relating to Noah so much. This book had one of the best representations mental illness. Noah deserves the world 🥺. I went through the motions with this book - from smiling until my face hurt, to crying and laughing out loud. Hands down, the best side character was Oscar, and I need more of his wisdom.
I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what else Kat Conell has up her sleeve!
TW: mental illness, grief, car accident
Thank you, Kat Conell, for letting me read an advanced reader's copy of "All of Him" in exchange for an honest review.
I didn't click with this one. I wasn't clicking with any of the characters or the storyline. It started off kinda cheesy and the insta attraction/desire to understand the MMC was a bit much and kinda lost me right away. I just feel like it didn't flow super well? However, I did like the short chapters and the mental health & grief representation and discussion.
"Love is patient, just like that damn Bible quote people like.”
This new to me author really hit it out the park with this novel! I loved how these characters were written, especially the fmc, she’s such a relatable person, I think anyone would be able to find something to like about Amanda.
This book is more than a romance it touches on tougher topics and shows you struggles that others go through. I really enjoyed reading the chemistry between Amanda and Noah grow from the start to end of this book.
This book is filled with amazing tropes such as opposites attract, slow burn and friends to lovers, if you like any of these I definitely recommend you pic this book up asap!
This book was such a quick read! Probably one of the sweetest most romantic books I’ve read in a while! Amanda and Noah hold a special place in my heart now! As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, this book depicted it so well! Can’t wait to read more of what Kat writes!
This arc was sent to me for an honest review. Here it is: *𝐍𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬*
I truly loved this book. From the cover and name, to the actual book. The character development in this one is amazing! It is a slow burn, the slowest one I’ve read but it was such a page turner. The MMC Noah is so destroyed and has been through so much that he doesn’t think he can be loved or be healed. Here enters our sweet, patient, understanding, loving, and very awkward Amanda. Noah wasn’t looking for anyone, let alone a friend, but with Amanda’s persistence, their slow friendship blossomed into a beautiful friendship with a little more eventually 😉 I LOVE every character in this book. Her sister and sister in law, her father and her wise old grumpy coworker Oscar and her boss Claude and even cooky coworker, Penny, are such amazing support systems to get them through this friendship that we all know will turn into love. You will laugh and your heartstrings will get pulled as well. This is such a sweet read. This book shows these characters so raw and vulnerable and makes you feel for them. Overall I loved it and would recommend this book. Thank you so much Kat Connell for the arc! 💕 you did amazing!

I absolutely love this book! The characters are so real, one of my favorites is Oscar. Who wouldn't want that wise old jokester at their office? He's quite entertaining, to say the least! And the main characters, Amanda & Noah, take the reader on a whirlwind of a ride from what couldn't even be called "friends" to every dreamer's love story.
I recommend this book to all who love young romance, it will NOT disappoint!
