I think I found a new “girl crush…. Monica”Tenches” Jones is a force that you do not want to play with. She shootin and asking questions … NEVER … but boyyy that Armani came in and baby girl melted like butter in his hands …. Such a good book

never reading this lady’s books again
The book started out good. Even tho Monica was doing a lot but that was her lifestyle. We finally start getting somewhere & then…. Mahogany is introduced for what? We don’t know what’s gonna happen with the two people we spent all those pages reading about, we’re left in the hangers about Focus’ status, you just… introduced more drama & then left it on somewhat of a cliffhanger, after telling us in the beginning that you aren’t writing about these people ever again. A sin & a shame.

I’ve heard a lot of the girlies talking about Aubry J. and I gotta say they weren’t lying! I ate this one up, from page 1 until the end. I loved watching Armani take control and how Monica just let it happen. That man did not play about that lady and he told her she was about to be in her soft girl era. Trenches was absolutely a GOON and I appreciate that about them, no talk, all action. I’ll be in her catalog for the foreseeable future.

Monica “Trenches” Jones is a force to be reckoned with! Her parents should’ve named her Goonica because she was really with the sh*ts. I love a FMC that’s raw, real and refuses to take anyone’s BS. None of her enemies stood a chance against her.
I enjoyed reading all the nonstop action that took place. There were just a few plot holes that I couldn’t get over but overall this was a fun read.

Monica known as Trenches in the streets is an unforgettable character with an alpha female persona. Released from prison after taking a charge for her ex Fresh affiliated with goons she finds out the betrayal, deception, and all backstabbing she encounters from the people that is supposed have her back. Let’s not forget the interwoven love story with Armani aka Baby added this page turner along the ride with Monica!!

First book by author
3.75– This book was a 4 star book for me until the end. The book ended on a cliffhanger about a different couple that wasn’t added until the very end & according to the author there will be no new book. There also were a few things that were never clarified like who unalived Nicole & what ever happened to Sasha like did she pass or is she okay, etc. But other than that the book was good. I think Monica is one of my fav. FMC’s. She was sooo bad a** & did not care at all. Home girl was painting the streets red with no care in the world, but also how baby let her know that she didn’t have to be tough, street, guarded around him kinda made me swoon. He showed her what a real man was & that he would always be that for her.

Real recognize real
I have been in a bad mood all week but Monica, that bat, and that remix fixed it immediately. Just like she should have fixed that slick stuff she said to my boo Armani but I’ll let it slide. I love everything about the concept of a woman being a hitter and I haven’t come across one like Monica is a long while. She made some mistakes and let some obvious stuff get passed her, but even Goon mess up to some time. Armani held her down and had her back. Every time this man pulled some thug gentlemen move I melted. This was a new to me author and I can’t wait to see what goes down with Focus and One.

Trenches was a bad woman! I was not expecting this storyline but I trust Aubry’s pen and she did not disappoint! The amount of backstabbing, bodies dropping, and sexual scenes had me swiping pages so fast. I loved everything about Armani, he could do no wrong in my eyes. Monica met her match with him but he was the only one with an ounce of loyalty in him. Whew!! This was so good! I will say the ending confused me a bit and then I realized that it was the beginning of something else so now I am running to the next book!

sooooo good!
I freaking loved this book. At first, I was questioning what Trenches would do with a man that was a DJ, but Armani was that guy!! So many plot twists and connections. My jaw was on the floor and I was screaming out loud. This book was full of treachery and lies.
The only thing that I didn’t think fit was how chatty these people were. Like I felt like some torturing needed to happen to get the info out of people instead of them just spilling their guts. I also wish we knew Armani’s affiliation. I also think the end was kind of abrupt.

This Is War!
There is nothing like a women scorned, then one that knows how to take care if business. This was just really good writing, and with really good character development. The storyline was just as good. There are moments when you sigh ,because Armani lets it be know he that man.I love when he decides to intercede on Monica's behalf. All you here is "everytime I think I'm out they pull me back in"! This was just a really good story from beginning to the last word.

Started off interesting but fell flat towards the end. Enjoy the development between the two leads. The chemistry was great. Towards the end the book dragged and led to a lackluster/ cliffhanger finish. I may continue the series.

Man it’s a whole lotta hood, gangsta & lil love connection going on in this book right here. First of all let me just say I love Monica both singer & the character in this book, Monica.🔥 Now let talk about this book shall we! Monica aka Trenches was a goon hood chick she was released from jail and on mission. When I tell you Trenches play no games about hunting a person down I mean it sis didn’t need a army she could do damage all by herself! This was so interesting to me because I’d never read a book with a female so thuggish in the streets. Honestly Trenches had me wanting to read more till the end of the book! Now Armani aka Baby was something too 🔥😍 he left the streets but he went hard for Trenches so when he got his hands dirty for sissy I was like yup he a real one! I know this is a book but with all the action popping off I felt like I was watching a movie but I was only reading words. Aubry J you did that I need book 2 though because now I’m hooked on what is coming next!

Loyalty Means Nothing When You’re Dealing With A Bunch Of Snakes!! Monica came out of jail all rehabilitated, they threw her a party and everything. She did five years for her supposed to be boyfriend and was nowhere to be found.Fresh is supposed to be taking care of her family but wasn’t. They made Trenches come out to play. Looney, her girl wasn’t loyal to her because she was doing Fresh when she was in jail and when she got out. If it wasn’t for Armani she would’ve been lost, but he made her simmer down and just be Monica the graphic designer. Mink was in love with her and held her down paid her bills while she did that bid for Fresh,the whole time even when she was with Fresh and he was with Looney. He was cool with Armani because he kept her out of trouble. Family ain’t always family. She went and got her niece and nephew now she and Armani are raising them as a family

Loving Aubry J catalog
I started reading Aubry J’s catalog because of a review of her current release and when I started to read that it warned me that characters from previous books would make an appearance. So I decided to just start from the beginning instead of reading the new release and then going back and I’m so glad that I did!!
I have absolutely loved every single book I’ve read so far and can’t wait to finish/catch up with her releases!! I love Armani and Monic’s love story and all the turning parts in the background! I was so excited to see some of my favorite characters make an appearance in this book. You will definitely love this book along with the rest of her catalog!!

Man first I have to say I’ve read almost every book by this Author and though I’m a bit in my feelings at how it ended I know she’s not going to leave us hanging! Trenches is the Sugar Honey Iced Tea but the loved the side of Monica as well! Armani was cool as hell! I was riding for them from the beginning but what I didn’t expect was Baby Baby Baby to go all in the way he did for Monica! She loved hard and her loyalty showed her who she could trust which was no one until Baby showed his side. He never let up on her and showed her what Love was! I can’t wait till the next book to hear about them!

Aubry J good read. Can I tell you how much I loved Monica and Armani. I watched her go from realizing she was the only person that had her back was herself, to almost missing her true blessing. To love someone and have them try and destroy you is one of the worst things anyone could do. I loved how Monica stood tall and did what she needed to do.
Armani, is such a stand up guy, he chose a different life and had no idea he was gonna have to be a angel in disguise. Watching this love grow and become one through all the twist and turns was good. l know you said they are dead but please!!!🤗🤗🤗

TRENCHES 🔫🐕🦺🎤💕
I love strong women. Monica, a.k.a. Trenches, was nothing to play with. She was loyal to the soil. She was so raw and moved when she wanted. She met her match with Armani, though.
I loved Armani. He was a good guy and well-respected. I loved how hard he went for Monica. He saw more in her and wanted more for her. He was so smitten 🥰.
I had this book in my TBR list for over a year. Idk why I waited so long, but I’m definitely going to read the spinoff because I’m curious. I do feel like the ending was rushed a bit but overall this was good. Action and drama non-stop.

Trenches was bout’ it!!
Imagine doing a bid for your man thinking he on the out, holding it all down… including waiting for you and it turns out, that wasn’t the case whatsoever. This story was action-packed, Trenches got out and stood on business… nobody was spared! Justified… YES SHE WAS! Armani & Monica meeting was the start of something neither of them knew they needed. What I tell you my job is? What is it Monica. “To protect you mama…that’s my job.” Listen!! Armani “Baby” wasn’t expecting feelings to develop the way they did for Monica “Trenches”. He was about her off-rip!

loved it I!!
I really really loved this book,and the emotion you wouldn’t expect from it. I definitely think more was needed. The book ends with a tragedy of another couple and never circles back to Monica and Armoni and where their life leads as well as Sasha. Given that the author said this is it for the couple makes it bitter sweet because there are still things unanswered. All of which is why it’s a 4 instead of 5/5. The character development and plot was wonderful and I’m so glad they all got what was coming. Haven’t decided if I’m going to continue yet since it seems the next book is completely new people and the not the couple the last book ended on.

Baby and Trench
This is a five star read for sure. I just know you are going to give us more on Mahogany and Focus! Now about my boo Armani aka Baby, he didn't come to play with y'all. He just knew that his would have Monica aka Trenches in the end. Although I would love to hear just a little more about them, maybe a wedding or something, I know you already forewarned us that it wasn't going to happen. I did love when Mink told Monica, "The streets gonna forever remember Trenches, but make sure the world remembers Monica..." That was some real ish.

I’ve seen this one quite a bit on IG. The author was new to me. I loved the FMC was a shooter, it was a change in dynamics a bit. And the line about him treating her like a woman and not a banger or something like that.
It was fast and well paced. It felt like I read a complete story, despite it not being very long. Also, that last chapter focused on Focus and Mahogany🤯.
Just when I was pondering what’s next, that last chapter sealed the deal. Focus and Mahogany got next😬

my first read by Aubrey J & I am HOOKED!!
I asked the book girlies for a strong FMC that may be a crash out & whewww they DELIVERED with this rec!! I am hooked!!!! Mo & Mani are EVERYTHING (yep, I nicknamed them; we besties in my head) anywhoooo, Mo crazy self wasn’t afraid of ANYTHING & she dang sure wasn’t waiting on ANYONE to make moves about her, she was gonna ALWAYS handle business!! Loved reading this!! Now I gotta find the others, because I know Focus has to have a book!!

This book was full of 🧨🧨🧨 and it was a woman bringing all that heat!!!..
Monica was not one to play with and she needed a man like Armani who wanted her in her soft girl era!!!…I was so happy that she was open to accept it too!!!…
Mink was a whole different story and I certainly understood why Looney was hurt, but that anger was soooo misplaced and should have been directed right at Mink, not the source of his desire!!!…
I need to see how Focus story is going to unfold with Mahogany and Kelley!!!…
