The previous book, left us with all the uncertain how Finn would deal with the scandal of the truth being revealed.
Eva being pregnant, will he keep his sanity to see his baby?

descriptiondescription

I thought this was a very sober story.
It doesn't give us the happy ending, it doesn't talk much about Finn condition, and I liked it.
Dementia doesn't have a cure, and it would be very anguish if it showed much about it.
This was a very sweet story, has a bit sex, of course, but it wasn't the centre of this, neither the war between Constantine and Morelli.

descriptiondescription

This is more about family, how to stick together, the power of love, the miracle of life.
It's very different from all the other books in the Midnight Dynasty world.
I wasn't expecting that.
The more we get to know the Morelli, the more I like them.
The first I've read Stroke of Midnight (Cinderella, #1) by K. Webster , made me hate them.
Of course, every story has it side, and if we chose one, we can't see what happen to the other.
We all have our own realities, we all suffer.
This shows a very human side of the Morelli's, the family is always above everything...

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: fake relationship, accidental pregnancy
Angst: 😱😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥

Three to Get Ready is the super emotional conclusion to the Hugh's trilogy by Skye Warren. While I enjoyed the writing, this will definitely be my last Skye Warren book for a couple of reasons. First, the first two books were just over 250 pages each and this last one was 160. Not sure what the point was. To make it a trilogy? Additionally, each book was released so far apart that by the time I was truly able to get back into the characters, the book was done. Last, I read to go on an exciting adventure and to make me happy. A main character that has Alzheimers and watches the devastation of his father from the disease along with his mother, while knowing he will ultimately have the same fate is just a big ole nope from me. I finished the series because I became super invested in these characters, but the Hughes trilogy will definitely be my first and last Skye Warren read.

Wow! Way to end this trilogy on such an emotional high *sigh* I loved this finale, but Finn & Eva’s story feels so unfinished to me and I’d love to see more of them in the future.
And although I loved Finn & Eva, Leo and Eva’s relationship will always be my favorite in these stories.

Three to Get Ready picks up immediately following the unexpected events at Hughes Financial Services. Not only does Finn now have to prepare Eva and the baby for the effects of the Curse, but now he has to appease the employees and stockholders of the company as well.

The conclusion to the Hughes trilogy left me far more raw than I was expecting. Seeing Eva's unwavering confidence be tested and the precarious hold Finn has on the dreams he never dared to wish for was heartbreaking. Despite the ups and downs, their story is one with the steadfast love we all hope to find.

A heartfelt and endearing finale to one of the most emotionally affecting stories in the Midnight Dynasty world! From the beginning, I’ve loved the tone and tenor of this trilogy. While I adore all things Midnight Dynasty, there’s only SO much Constantine vs. Morelli feud meets dark, broken alpha storylines that can be told before the world feels less fresh…and Skye certainly delivers an emotionally poignant breath of fresh air with the One for the Money trilogy. From the start the stakes felt more relatable, more tragic, the story carrying an emotive gravitas that really squeezed the heart. An older heroine with her own painful past, a besotted billionaire bearing the weight of a multi-generational secret. Two people with enough wealth, affluence, power, and means to engineer or buy almost any reality they desired….until we learn they are faced with a demoralizing truth that not even a Morelli can bully into submission. It was captivating, and the finale brings this whole story full circle.

This has been one of the most romantic, by far the swooniest of the Midnight world. The bodycount is low, nary a Constantine interloper to contend with. This isn’t love story about the battle between the ambitions and history of men. This is the story about the battle of man and nature. Man and the cascading presence of time. Man vs. himself. Coming into this finale, the secrets have been exposed and they have the hope of new life staring down the reality of the destruction of Finn’s company….but even more so, the looming destruction of his mind. And I’ll admit, it’s hard to feel hopeful, their love feels bittersweet, because we know in real life how this story will end. So many of us have faced the disease that steals a person’s mind, and no amount of romancelandia optimism of suspension of disbelief can truly erase that backdrop of reality.

But Skye still makes this story hopeful- in so many ways. This is less about man defeating a disease and more so about a man defeating his limited mindsets, defeating his own demons. Finn can’t truly escape the disease, but he grows leaps and bounds as a man. A man who finally releases that every moment we have on this earth is precious. Every chance we get to be with someone we love is precious. Because LOVE is a gift- one that we can choose to lean into even if our bodies (or minds) are temporal- because love is forever.

I love how this story just bleeds vulnerability. Finn is a capable businessmen, a sharp mind, a total alpha in the bedroom- but he’s also a little boy weighed down by a naive promise he made to his father. He’s a man who is scared. And what a daunting things to have to confront- having the courage to admit your fear is ruining your life, not your disease. And I loved the sad but hopeful man more than I loved the dominating and alpha one. This man is the real Finn- the brave one. His journey is fulfilling and rich, because it acknowledges that HEAs are actually never permanent. But rather, a true HEA is living every moment with the person you love to the fullest, no matter how long that may be.

And Eva is such an inspiring heroine. Supportive, loving, understanding and patient. His only steady, his north star. She’s always been the fixer, the caregiver of others- and now she’s faced with something she can’t easily fix. It tests her in the best possible way, but she too grows and learns about her true character. What makes her powerful and important is not that she CAN fix everything, but how selflessly she tries. Her unconditional love is what makes her the rock of her family- the light to guide Finn. And I loved her mighty but quiet presence. Her strength comes from her unwavering hope.

Hope. That’s really what this trilogy is about- being audacious enough to HOPE. To find joy and happiness even when there is no guarantee it will last. To believe when there isn’t solid evidence that you should. This finale is very brief (and feels a lot like a giant epilogue), but what a powerful ending it is. We even get some meaningful moments with the Morelli crew- and I am such a goner for Leo. And how Eva shows her love for him? Ugh I melted. I loved how Skye brought a different vibe to this sprawling world, a story more tender than dark. And I can’t wait to jump into more stories like this from the Midnight crew.

Three to Get Ready by Skye Warren marks the conclusion of Eva Morelli and Finn Hughes' emotional love story as they are forced to contend with the public fallout of the Hughes curse and the personal ramifications that come with it. I have always thought that Eva and Finn made a great couple and this was further exemplified by the fact that they were there for each other—no matter what. While Finn has given up and is resolute about his future, Eva is determined to fix it and not give up hope. It was heartbreaking to see her come to realize the reality of their situation and come to terms with the curse. However, I loved seeing how Finn became her solid rock during a time when she needed him the most. The prospect of losing Finn and eventually her child to the curse was too much for her to process.

"Love doesn't fix everything, but it makes it worth fixing."

In the end, Eva and Finn's story is about loving and living in the present moment and coming to terms with the fact that because human lives are so short, it is better to make the most of the here and now. The trilogy does end in a positive note with Eva and Finn surrounded by those they love. I was looking forward to Will LeBlanc's appearance because we got a sneak peak of his interaction with Finn in Coercion. I just wish it was longer and we got to see what happened in the aftermath. While I did enjoy this series, I felt like it could have been condensed because of how short the books were. Eva and Finn's entire story could be read in one sitting. I highly recommend this trilogy who love an angsty and heartbreaking romance, especially with a charming and handsome hero who is devoted to his incredibly sweet and loving heroine.

Eva and Finn’s heart-warming finale is an emotional tale full of feels. #Finneva story wasn’t an easy journey, the author took us on a complicated journey, filled with difficulties and struggle, our two formidable heroes come to face with their demons, they decide to fight together, they embrace their love to discover how strong it is even in the face of illness.

Eva’s amazing persona shines through the pages of this last instalment, her attitude, loyalty, strength mixed with fragility consolidated my love for this awesome, vulnerable yet indestructible woman. So far she’s my most loved female character in the Midnight Dynasty world. Chefs kiss Ms Warren.

Leo’s cameos and appearances were such a balm for my battered heart, he never fails to amaze me and impress me. And now that I’m on impartial ground I can finally get something off my chest… before Leo’s story came out, some author took liberties to depict him in an unflattering way only to make another character seem stronger or better, well, I can finally say there was really no need for that! My dear author you had no right, nor claim over my Leo and you dared pen him as something he isn’t. I’m satisfied justice has been served and records are set straight nobody touches Leo! And now that I have also claimed Eva… watch out 🤫

#Finneva was one amazing journey, well done Ms Warren for bringing to life such amazing characters, I enjoyed this journey very much, I think this could have been wrapped up in only two books, however, now the trilogy is complete so, my fellow readers, if you decide to read this touching story you’ll be able to indulge without having to wait.

"A criminal. A fucking imposter. That’s what I am, pretending to be a man who deserves a woman like her."

Finn & Eva's story was filled with ups and downs. It wasn't easy for Eva to go through the pain of knowing that one day the person you love will probably forget you because of the "curse" that runs in the Hughes family and it was as difficult for Finn because he did not want Eva to be in the same situation his mother was in with his father. It was a sad story but seeing Eva be so determined and filled with hope, I was enjoying the book. The book is about coming in terms with what we know is going to happen in the future but still try to create memories and lead a happy life in the present. The epilogue ended on a positive note and overall this was a wonderful story. This is a trilogy but each book is very short and quick so you can binge read it in a day or two tbh.

It’s well known that I love the author’s books and this story just proves once again why.
I’m very bad with trilogies but some stories need time to lay out all the emotions and actions and Three to get ready is the perfect conclusion to this dangerous romance story.
I laughed, I shared a tear and I had my heart full to the brim with love.
Skye Warren managed to pack emotions on the highest scale with a beautiful happily ever after story.

One of my favourite stories ever.

The conclusion to the horrid cliffhanger we were left with in Two for the Show is a down right rollercoaster.
When shit hits the fan, Finn and Eva unite, becoming the power couple who aren’t intimidated by outside opinions.

Having Eva's stead-fast trust in science shattered, it is Finn's insecure believe in the dreams he never dared to wish for, but still embracing them wholeheartedly, that ultimately brought them their HEA, for now.
Because they decide that, while Finn most likely will suffer from the Hughes's curse, he's going to life and enjoy their life and not act like it’s already over.

My 9th most anticipated read of the year, I really enjoyed this book, I actually really enjoyed this whole series!! I wished it were longer! I loved how Finn’s changes on life had changed and how much of a softie he was for Eva, and I absolutely loved how Eva never gave up on Finn and even tried to find a cure for dementia. I think they fit each other perfectly!

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Things I liked:
* “She’s where I belong, my true north.”
* “And what I yearn for is… a future. A future with Eva and the unborn child she carries.”
* After the shit show of media he shows up at Eva’s apartment and gets into bed with her
* He remembers her favourite kind of cake from 2 years ago
* “Because I was there. I noticed you. I always noticed you.”
* “Love you,” I murmur. “Love you,” she says”
* Finn’s dad telling everyone that he’s CEO now despite what everyone say
* Love how Eva is trying to find some sort of cure for dementia
* “I press a kiss to her forehead, feeling protective. ”
* “She sighs and leans against me, resting her head on my chest. “I love you, Phineas Galileo Hughes.”
* “I haven’t lost hope, Eva Honorata Morelli,” I say, taking her in my arms. “I’ve gained it. I believe you’ll solve this—with time. You’ll break the curse. Not with me, but with our child, and that is the greatest gift you could give me.”
* Their having a boy (that’s bitter sweet to me)
* “and link our pinkies together. “Promise.” A nod, and then he closes his eyes.”
* “You have me,” I say, feeling fierce, my voice thick. “I’m keeping you.” He tilts my head up for a kiss that steals my breath”
* “Because no matter how long we’ve been together, I blush, too.”
* “A smile tugs at my lips. “Let’s do this. Together.” She nods, her eyes shining with love and admiration”
* “That’s why you keep me around. I see the real you. And you’re like a goddess right now.”
* They named their baby Daniel, after Finn’s dad
* “I look forward to countless moments of laughter, hugs, and kisses. With Daniel. And with Finn.”
* “She looks… perfect. Naturally, she holds a bouquet of pink orchids. A wave of emotion washes over me. There’s a slight blush on her cheeks as she walks down the aisle.”
* THEY HAD TWO MORE KIDS, Hemingway and Leo!
* Finn giving Eva a big carnival at the park for their 10th wedding anniversary (and he didn’t forget their anniversary like she thought)
* “ Happy anniversary, sweetheart.” And then he kisses me.”

This was an emotional roller coaster! Everything about it seemed so hopeful, then so hopeless, then, as reality set in, a sense of calmness and acceptance. Finn and Eva are weathering tough realities, but they are strong together, they are committed to each other, and that radiates between them, and to everyone around them. I love how they draw strength from each other, support each other, help each other face their fears. There were a lot of tears shed while reading this, but there was never any doubt that these two could, and would, face everything that came their way, and be happy while they did it!

Three to Get Ready is the third and final part in Finn Hughes and Eva Morelli's trilogy, and they must be read in order. If you are new to the Midnight Dynasty (MD) shared world, I probably wouldn't start with this trilogy because it has a little bit different tone and Eva's siblings had books first, so seeing their cameos means more since I read their books first.

The best part of Finn and Eva's story for me was the poignant Hughes family curse and the way it shaped Finn's life, and therefore his relationship with Eva. Their story does not have the darkness of some of the rest of the MD world, nor the heat, it is more of an emotional contemporary romance. For me, the emotion came from Finn and his family's issues, I never felt a strong emotional or physical chemistry between Finn and Eva as a couple. But because I liked the family/Finn's angsty story so much, I almost didn't care. I do think the ending for that story was a little underwhelming after so much build up, but I also think it does a good job of giving them an HEA while not throwing away the likely reality.

This last book was the shortest of the three, and took me less than two hours to read. I definitely think it could have been one or at most two books, so I would personally recommend waiting for a boxset over the the current price point for the three books individually.

We get a glimpse of Sophia Morelli in this one, and I'm curious what the plans are for her story. I'm also more curious about Constantine matriarch Caroline's full story, since the prologue of this one showed her as a child, but first I am looking forward to the last book in Carter Morelli's trilogy, which has a little more heat than this story did.

Gutting. Devastating. Heart Wrenching. I loved this book so much. Finn and Eva’s impossible love story will stay with me for a really long time. Three to Get Ready is the third book in the Hughes trilogy. It can’t be read as a standalone. If you love emotional reads, run and pick up this trilogy!

After reading Two for the Show (book 2 in the series), I had not idea how these two would get a HEA. I was genuinely nervous to read this book. To say that Finn and Eva had everything stacked against them is an understatement. They are up against things that not even their rich and powerful families can fix. Almost an entire tissue box later, I am extremely satisfied with how this story wrapped up and I’m hopeful for their future. I love both Finn and Eva so much!

Midnight Dynasty is one of my favorite book worlds and the family moments in this story are as captivating as the love story. The Morelli siblings have such a special bond and I especially love any excuse for Leo to pop up and make an appearance. They also mention Sophia Morelli a fair amount in this book. She isn’t a sibling that we know much about, so I’m hoping her story will be told soon. The Hughes family has also worked their way into my heart even Finn’s mom Geneva, who definitely wasn’t my favorite going into this book.

I highly recommend this book, trilogy, and Midnight Dynasty universe.

Intense and romantic. This is how I like my books. The author has delivered a tragic, heart-pounding finale to one of my favourite trilogies by her. Finn and Eva are brimming with problems and gut-wrenching hope.

All the threats that could shower on them like volcanic rain come together to pound at their dreams. Public outrage, legacy, life. It felt like a stoning. However, I was truly thrilled by the sheer force of nature that is Eva as she rises like an epic heroine to fight for her family.

Sometimes it seems as if everything is crumbling around them, inside them, but this couple has a contagious resilience that's born of their profound love and strong honour. I loved their journey, and this last part proved to be moving and powerful.

Some chapters are brutally poignant, others meaningfully erotic. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to go through the tragedy that Finn and Eva are experiencing, but the story made made me feel every bit of despair, unique bond and, yes, inspiring hope. Because this couple fights for their happiness in emotional and touching ways. And I appreciated every word of it.

This was one of the less angsty stories in the Midnight Dynasty world, but no less worthy to be there. Eva and Finn are a power couple that just work together and I love how this final book came together. It was the perfect way to end this trilogy.

Dementia and Alzheimer's is real and sad and there is currently no cure for this debilitating disease. It's one that Finn has faced knowing that it runs in his family and it's coming for him. As much as he fought against Eva for this very reason, he finally comes to the conclusion that there is no stopping what is right in front of him, life. He loves Eva and she loves him. He is going to be a father. He will most likely suffer from the family curse, but should he already live the rest of his life like it's over?

The Morelli's rally around their sister and Finn, for once, let's his family help him too. I love how Skye wrote this beautiful story about two powerful people who normally help those around them, but needed that extra boost during a tough time in their own lives. She also tackled an emotional topic and handled it beautifully.

Skye Warren is going to break you while you read Three to get Ready!

My Review ⤵️

From book one this series hit a little different, yes it was dark, and at points a little gritty, but the backbone, the core was different. You immediately root for Finn and Eva, you want them to have their happy ending. Their road is not an easy one, it tests every part of them, but even with all of the trials and tribulations is there a chance for them to end up on top? That’s some thing you are going to have to find out for yourself.

Skye has taken the subject of Dementia and given it a different voice, one that is full of emotion and acceptance and that just makes for an even better connection. In a world of money, sex and intrigue, this is a story about more than that, this has heart, but don’t worry, there’s still plenty of heat too!

This is the third book, they must be read in order, and they are all available now, so don’t wait! Read these!

This series has been a weird one for me. On the one had, it was the most emotional, which had me the most engaged in the story and drama, Finn's family "curse" had me drawn in from the first time it was mentioned. And it has included the most interaction with the rest of the other family members, which I am here for, and wished that more stories included. We even got to meet a few previously absent family members. BUT, this trilogy was also the story where I was the LEAST engaged with the characters and THEIR story. I had pretty much zero interest in Finn and Eva's love story.

This last book in the trilogy had some confusing/conflicting data as far as the other characters. As someone who has read every previous book in this world in order, I was thrown off when Leo mentioned that his wife was at home with their children, plural. And that Bryant had taught his granddaughter to ride a bike, which would make her (whoever she is) older than the progressive storyline of the Midnight Dynasty world should allow. And I felt like the progression of Finn's diagnosis was too fast and almost came out of nowhere. But I was impressed with the fact that the ending was realistic, and didn't go the Hollywood route, finding a cure.

Eva and Finn’s story concludes in this 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐬𝐞𝐱𝐲 and 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 book.
Their journey has been so 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜, 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 and had many game changing moments.
I absolutely 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 both of these characters and LOVE their strength and devotion to family and each other.
In this book there were some very beautifully emotional scenes as well as some humorous, lighter moments.
It’s sensual and steamy. Their relationship is tender, has some great fierceness and naughtiness to it. I love this couple so very much!
They’ve both had so much pressure and expectations put on them from a young age, I felt sadness for all the good, fun things they hadn’t let themselves enjoy. They’ve lived their lives for family, and I was so excited for them to get their time to have joy, happiness and love.
The secondary characters are fabulous, I love both characters siblings and Finn’s parents add so much emotion and heart.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable and beautifully satisfying conclusion. This wonderful couples roller coaster ride of a journey was so entertaining and emotionally rewarding.
I loved it!

Book three in this emotional trilogy is here. After a secret breaks free what will Finn and Eva’s future look like with the decisions they must make. He is so scared to get attached to anyone with how he believes his future will be but some things are worth taking the jump. Can Eva make Finn realize she and their new life is worth the risk? An emotional romance dealing with dementia and the love of those who won’t give up on you. Told in dual POV

Finn and Eva are engaged, and with their child on the way, it should be a happy time. If not for the fall out of Hughes senior and the secret coming out and of course The Hughes curse.

What a fantastic story.
I have loved Finn and Eva's story from the beginning in one for the money.

The heartbreaking but also heartwarming journey to their happily ever after was not an easygoing one, but I definitely felt every single emotional word of it.

The deep, intense sexual chemistry and emotional connection Finn and Eva share is one to envy.

Review:

In their path to their HEA, Eva and Finn have to face several fears and uncertainties. At first I wasn’t sure about the foreboding outlook most of this book had, but in the end it felt more real. Anything other that this would feel fake and fairy tale like.

Finn and Eva are strong people when apart, but when together they are invincible and their love and support to each other was incredible to read.

*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ***

From the very beginning, I've been a fan of this author and this incredible, Midnight Dynasty world. Every character comes alive and this crazy insane world grows. I still can hardly wrap my head around how many authors have built off the various characters and books, many of which are buy other authors and have it feel seamless.

I knew that this was going to be a trilogy from the start. I was okay with that, as it has worked in the past. However, this trilogy was not released closely together, and I found myself forgetting parts (in fact, A recently read interconnected book about a different side character actually kept me from being really confused) which, in turn, took me out of the story. This was problematic, because by the time I started to get back into the story it was over. This was the first-time that I've really questioned whether it truly needed to have been a trilogy.

Was I happy to get questions I had answered? Yes. Did I love these characters? Yes. Did I feel like this left to much the unknown? Yes. And before anyone comes at me that the disease that is talked about is unknown, I get that.I really do. However, instead of feeling happy about a romance, I felt sad. Was I glad that the author didn't make up a cure? ABSOLUTELY. Yet, in the same breath, I felt disheartened to know that this was going to be Eva's life as well as her kids. It saddened me that this might be the curse that kept on giving.

The cameo appearances from other characters and the building upon this crazy complicated world is what even moved this up to four stars. Unlike, other books in this world, this is not one that I see ever rereading, which makes me sad, because these characters are life (#teamMorelliForLife), and I am an avid fan of this author. Even though this isn't my favorite, I still recommend it to everyone that's been part of this journey.

Off-topic, Sophie had me laughing. I wanted more from her character.

Oh my heart! I loved these two, their journey spanned so many dips and peaks but what a ride! These two (well by now technically speaking three) but heads but I don't think you could find a better match for Finn than Eva. She was so kind, even when faced with truths that are scary and uncomfortable in the best of times, Eva weathered all the rocky seas with her chin held high. She's a seasoned vet at problem solving for every one around her and she's confident this will be no different. I loved that this dealt with grief in a far more real sense than you typically see depicted in books. People think grief only comes from death, but thats not the case, someone can feel grief over a myriad of problems. Some times we grieve over the loss of an opportunity, sometimes we grieve our lack of complete control over every situation. Some problems can't BE fixed and thats just the hard truth of it, and thats where the grief comes in. That being said facing the truth does not mean you throw in the towel and the perseverance in the face of adversity these two show makes me believe they WILL have their HEA for years to come.
I love the drama and the heat from the Midnight Dynasty world, and this book had all that to be sure but it hit different than the ones I've read before, touched me on a much deeper level, maybe because I have no idea what I would do in Eva's situation. Whatever it was, it gave this book an extra kick to me. Can't wait for more from Bishops Landing!

Three to get ready was the epic conclusion to the one for the money trilogy and continued the story of Eva and Finn. The story picks up immediately after the events of the last story and shows the aftermath of the events that occurred. Despite the hurdles in this story Eva and Finn remain there for each other and their love for one another only grows stronger. This story was full of heart, emotion and love all throughout it.

Eva proved in this story how strong she was and the love that she has for Finn. I loved the way that she stood beside him during the hard moments he had throughout the book.

Finn went through a lot throughout this trilogy and he continued to grow throughout every book. I really loved the way that he is always there for his family and continued to support Eva.

I really enjoy how this story is told from a dual point of view so readers are able to read what is happening from both of the main character's points of view. It really made the book even more of an emotional rollercoaster because it showed the emotions and angst that both characters were feeling during different parts of the story. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read what this author has planned next.
