In a god cursed realm, where rage is the food of war, Snowlin was already satiated.
Now a prisoner of her father again, she has no choice but to play gambit for the sake of the people she loves. With only three pieces away from forming the Octa Virga, the Winter King prepares his armies of monsters and humans to overtake the realm and claim it as his own—crown himself a God. But his daughter lays the chessmen to play one last game of deceit.
Who will move first?
A pawn can be a queen, but a queen can never be a pawn. And a king who has lost his queen will do everything to claim her back.
An alliance like no other forms in Numen to face the inevitable war. The odds knew no favour to the wicked or kind in Numengarth, but there were no odds to favour the wicked or kind as the realm awaits to see which Guardian will remain at the end of it all.
Flame or lightning.
While eyes are blinded by power, who will lose grasp of it first? The greedy King or the cursed Queen?
Wendy Heiss is a indie author debuting with a new adult fantasy trilogy, Winter Gods & Serpents, the first book in The Auran Chronicles. She has graduated with a Forensics Science degree in the United Kingdom, but literature has been one of her passions since she could manage to read and write. Despite being severely tempted to ride the Agatha Christie route to crime novels, she chose to follow the Tolkien path to fantasy. She forwent fingerprint powder for ball pen ink inevitably forgoing her parents hope for a good life and becoming what they always feared...a figuratively starving artist, which is why she won't quit her day time job any time soon.
I have to admit this was a rather disappointing ending which did not really leave me a lot of things to say. Or maybe I just found the second book to be too amazing, which made me see the last book in this series as slightly disappointing. However, as this was my last read before my short break, I am not sure when this review will come; or if one will ever come considering pretty much nothing happened despite this being such a long book..so many important things were rushed while others, less intriguing and relevant, were dragged for too long... 😭

Last book in this series and I am begging all the Gods above to stop the suffering in this story, because I cannot take it anymore 🥲 Wishing myself luck!
Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to read ARC. Thank you for writing the story and bringing them to the world.
Wendy has an amazing way of telling her story and the way she writes with utmost care, it's hard not to fall in love. Like previous two books, this one is a masterpiece!
The story follows shortly after the events of book 2 cliffhanger. Enemies becomes allies, Strategy plans, allegiance were forged in desperate moments, powers were tested, War raged. Kilian and Snow did everything in their powers to save the realm before it fell into chaos and destruction. Snow and Kilian spent what time left for them alone together. They loved and supported each other till the very end and never gave up. They both got what they deserved after all the hells they went through! The ending was such a heartwarming and satisfying with all the love.
The plot was written beautifully and captivating. I just fell in love with the plot itself and how little things makes sense from book 1 to book 3. The world building, characters, love, actions, prophecy, banters,...just everything was perfection. The plot twists and turns are jaw dropping. The romance was the top notch and the side characters are very lovable and they're the best found family.
I never been more excited that we would get an end to Kilian and Snowlin but at the same time, it's difficult to say goodbye to them. I was a sobbing mess after I read and they'll forever be in my heart.
A good conclusion to the main story and as a whole a great trilogy; as far as individual books go I have to say that this is the one I enjoyed the least, still really good tho.
Great story, the plot and the nations with their politics are very engaging, there’s an amazing assemble of characters with many beautiful relationships and friendships and the best main character. But the lore and the way some magic works are really a mess, things are not well explained or established, I made my peace with it and don't care much at this point but it needs to be said since a number of plans to understand and defeat the enemy depend upon those.
The book starts very strong with an exciting first part that culminates with the reunions (so beautiful) but then the middle part drags a bit, not all of it, some things obviously happen and there are good character moments, but for an end of a trilogy where everyone is preparing for a war to save the world and tension should rise there are too many domestic scenes compared to the ones with progression of the story. Near the end things pick up again and it’s exciting and interesting. The final fight is a bit confusing in some moments while others are amazing,
For the third time I will say how much I LOVE Snowlin, my queen, she is such an amazing character, so complex and well developed, I hurt with her and for her and cheer when she threatens and cuts people to pieces, she is easily the best part of the series for me. She had trauma after trauma all of her life, her scars run deep and she struggles with PTSD, with her self-worth, and yet, even after everything she’s been through, everything that is done to her in this book as well, she always rises, finds the strength to fight, scheme, manipulate, violently pay back who deserves it, and still cares deeply about her loved ones, loves deeply. She is ruthless and yet kind and she deserves more than anyone to be happy and learn to live without pain being the constant in her life.
Now that I got to the end of this trilogy I feel like expressing something that I waited to say because I needed to see the whole thing play out first: I wish to have seen, or rather felt, more of Kilian as his own character. He is a good brother, a great husband, he loves Snow to pieces, he is perfect with her, worships her, and I really like him, but I kind of feel like all about his character revolves around Snow, most of what I know about who he is it’s in relation with his feeling for her. That said, I appreciate how he’s caring but also dangerous when necessary, and Snow brought out a part of him that’s so attractively witty, I also like a lot the fact that he rarely gets angry and never rases his voice; and I always wondered about his magic, happy to have an answer.
The romance is really good; these two went through a lot, and there was no shortcut to get to the place they are now, they put in the work, and with everything that happened it was needed. They are very cute together, love each other so much, and Kil’s love is so important for Snow, by loving her and understanding and being there for her he helped her a lot; like her love for him is important, it grounded her. And they are a real power couple.
It will be interesting to read more about Thora and Mal because we know a very deep bond developed between them but we only saw it from the outside.
I really like Visha and find her very interesting.
Snow-Cai-Nia friendship ❤️
Really happy with how it ended.
Have I already said how much I love it when Snow insults, scares and destroys disgusting people?
Easiest 5⭐️of the year My heart has never been so full. Snow is single-handedly the best female character I’ve come across. She is fierce, resilient, complex, sarcastic, would die for the ones she loves and is definitely not afraid to get dirty. Kilian. Dear gods where can i get one?? This man is the definition of swoon worthy, of man obsessed with his woman, i am a who** for this man. The way his character is portrayed and how he’s extremely supportive of Snow shows who the main character and who is the center of the story, and im so happy with how was delivered Now about those dialogues: the first category: laughing out loud, absolutely devoured them The second category- where I cried my eyes out i look like a dying frog from so much crying but it was most definitely worth it That sweet little ending, could’ve not been more perfect. If i had 10 stars I would have given it more than 10 🥹
Im so ready for Autumn Queens & Shadows, those bitches are too angsty and stupid and in need of a good slap across the face, BUT I KNOW THE BURN IS GOING TO BE GOOD
First off, so happy to have gotten an ARC from Wendy Heiss for this book. Second, I’m now going to reread all three books because I love this series so much. Third, if one of the novellas isn’t about Mal and Thora, I’m going to RIOT. Each of these books have made me laugh and cry and are so beautifully written. I may add more later after my reread but my mind has been completely overtaken by this book. If any of you take a single recommendation from me, it’s to read this series.
I was fortunate enough to receive an arc copy of this book before it’s release so thank you so much Wendy for this.
This is the third and last book following snow and kil’s story in the auran chronicles. As the second book ended on a cliffhanger I couldn’t wait to have my hands on book 3 and to start reading.
I don’t wanna spoil anything so I’ll keep everything vague and spoiler free.
This was an amazing end to snow’s story. It met every expectation for book 1 & 2 and went beyond them. Plot was interesting and exciting. Characters had amazing development and were so easy to love and read about through the multiple POVs. World building is as amazing as the first two books. And finally the romance was and is everything. Snow and kill and the perfect couple both fictional and real.
To end this review, read this book as soon as it comes out because it’s wonderfully written and so so amazing and addicting. Wendy’s writing has been beautiful since book 1 and this was no different. A beautiful ending to a beautiful trilogy. Can’t wait to see and read more about this universe and other characters.
“I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.” - Owen Wilson from Zoolander. This quote speaks to me because I had no idea what was going on or who was doing what or how things ended the way they did, but I still loved it.
Love the characters, basically salivated over any Malik and Thora pov chapters because surprise surprise, I got bored with the main couple and wanted to hyperfixate on a side couple!
This series is an addiction and so SO good. Full of tension, battles, romance, magic, intrigue, secrets … it’s just UGH high fantasy meets slow burn romance, with all the best side characters. I love this series so much and I will always recommend!! This book made me feel whole again honestly and I just loved Snowlin and Killian and will always enjoy their banter. Can’t wait for possibly more from this series!!!(,:
OH MY GOODNESS, where do I even start...😭 I did not start the year thinking I will end up with a brand new book & author obsession but here we are and I couldn't be happier. One of my favourite discoveries of the year ❣️
I LOVED this series so much and as much as I am excited to continue Mal&Thora's book I can't help but feel sad to say goodbye to my first loves Snowlin and Kilian 💔🥺. The journey I've been on from book one to book three has been nothing short of amazing. I can't emphasise how much I highly recommend Wendy's works, she's an amazing human being and a brilliant author ✨️💐.
From start to finish, there wasn't an instance where the story felt like it was dragging. The plot was so gripping because things pick up straight away from book two, there wasnt one moment where i was bored. The world building, the fantasy elements, the powers and magic system, the lovable and memorable charcaters, the witty banter, the badasssery, the laughter, the sadness, all the emotions and a beautifully written found family...everything had me addicted!
Also the ROMANCE my goodness...inject it in my veins 🙇🏾♀️
Snowlin *my darling* Skygard Castemont, such a complex and beautifully written character. The embodiment of rage, pain, fight, resilience, healing, laughter, and love. I love her so much. My darling girl, from book one to book three, her character development has been outstanding and perfect 🧎🏾♀️ 😌
"You might be a villain, father, but I AM the villain"/ "There was a god who could hear her. And she stood before her "
Kilian *my wife* Castemont...if you search up perfection you'll definitely see his face smirking at you. The love I have for this man is unmatched 😮💨🤌 The way he went absolutely FERAL for his wife and always had her back...book husband of the year 🏆
"I'm going to have you in this life till we are sick of it. Till we are sick of all the laughter and happiness. I'm going to have you in this life first. I am done losing you. I am done losing each other. I will fight till I cannot fight no more, but I will fight."
Now these two TOGETHER...ohhhh my goodness gracious, I could go on and on and on. They're the personification of LOVE...whew the way they are together is the definition of couple goals. The names of endearment had me grinning from ear to ear, SO CUTE 🙈😽 What a couple, so badass, perfect for each other, insane aura 😉 and unhinged...just the way I like em 😛
"hello, handsome " "hello, my gorgeous girl"
Nothing...absolutely nothing can compare...😭😭😭
"I'd longed for so long and never had know until him how much I wanted to be wanted. He held me like a flower pressed between his pages, preserved under the warmth of his words. Just how I craved to be held. So delicately."
Snowlin, Kilian, Mal, Thora, Cai, Nia, Eren, Visha, Penelope, Atlas, Alaric, Sam, Leanna and Lila, Memphis, Jayre...everybody and everything made the book ❤️ 🫂
Also that EPILOGUE, yh it shattered my tear ducts. First time I read it I was screaming and going insane, the second time I read I couldn't stop crying 😭 PERFECTION ✨️
"Darling?... Love of mine.
Is this a dream? Not a dream."
After everything, Snow did it...she got her happy ending. My girl got her happy ending 😭 I'm just so incredibly happy for her, for everything she fought for and everything she gained. No one deserves it more
This series made me appreciate my love for fantasy. Deserves all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i gave it 5 stars cuz I really enjoyed it and I'm here for the vibes, so even if this series has flaws, they didn't really bother me that much, but I'll acknowledge them.
firstly Silas, the main villain in the story, was not even that fucking bad. everything bad was done for him and even if he was alone with snow, who was pissing him off so much, he what? hit her once in all three books? like c'mon bro. he was so vague
Melanthe, another villain who had so much potential yet she was also disappointing, especially her death, like- what was that lol
next, some characters have such similar names, that I was confused about who was that, what they meant for snow and why is she mourning their death 💀
there were times when I thought that I missed a chapter or something and I actually backed up to the end of the previous chapter to check if it was actually the end or if I clicked one too many times on my Kindle, but nope, that was the end.
and I fucking hate how some important things were just shrugged off, for example, death of someone important to Snow and the other, mentioned once or twice and then never again in the whole book. it was like the author only needed someone to sacrifice themself and as soon as he's job was done she forgot about him, like- insane
also the character's behavior. I felt like sometimes they would have a problem with someone out of fucking tin air. like suddenly they're mad and not talking to the other person and I'm sitting here like 🧍🏽♀️ what- and Snow, my god, she's so stupid sometimes. I'm sorry but for half of the fucking book she's trying to solve one problem, she said that she tried all the possible ways to solve it and them Kil in one conversation, totally not about the problem, says something like 'we never play by the rules, we make our own' and bam Snow suddenly becomes enlightened and now knows what to do, like bro-
I'm sure that there're a lot of other flaws but honestly I don't want to focus on them anymore
it didn't become one of my favourite series, but I still really liked it, I bonded with all the characters and I can't wait to read the novellas, cuz I love Mal x Thora and Cai x Eren and I'm so curious how they'll FINALLY be together
⭐️ 4/5 ( Needs heavy edits) 🌶 2/5 Increased quantity of scenes in book 3) 🧠 7/10 (High fantasy with tons of characters, kingdoms, realms, gods, leaders, ect)
What an epic conclusion to this trilogy. I have been engrossed in this story for over a week, and I regret nothing.
Most of this book is spent discussing alliances and positioning in this political cat and mouse game. The danger is ever present, but it's more in the setup for most of the book. The final battle is spread out and gave a lot of different perspectives. There is a very nice HEA, but tons of open-ended potential spin-offs here.
I would highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves a higher fantasy world that has a true slow burn with spice. Enemies to lovers to enemies energy here. The FMC is mostly not a good person, though she's a little squishy at times way deep down in her black heart. You will also have to be okay with the edits that are needed.
Wendy Heiss has truly outdone herself once again with this exquisite work of art! While I'm still processing the conclusion of Kilian and Snows' chapter in the third book, the anticipation for the upcoming novellas featuring other couples is keeping my excitement levels high. Oh, the nostalgia for that first-time reading experience and the fervent wish to go back in time and relive it!
Snow, Kil, Cai, Mal, Thora, Nia, Eren, Pen, Alaric, Mephis.... have found a permanent home in my heart! Their stories and the world they inhabit have left a lasting impression, becoming a cherished part of my literary journey <3
"The Auran Chronicles" are etched in my heart as a top-tier fantasy read. ✨
It took me forever to finish this book 😭. Not because it was bad, but because after 2 books of 800+ pages, one more does seem a little bit over the top. However, it was worth it. The last 20% were pure chef kiss of a storytelling. Satisfying final to these particular character's storyline. Can't wait for Thora and Mal's.
This last book was probably more 3.5 than a 4. I went in expecting all questions to be answered and all loose ends to be tied, but I did not fully get either. The series is plot heavy and filled with so many characters, I found myself struggling to keep track of both. Nonetheless, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and would definitely recommend it!
Pójście po najmniejszej lini oporu, but that's fine, i guess.
I never truely understood the term ‘underrated’ until this series… Like, minimal TikTok’s about this apart from the authors, and maybe a handful of fanart… I NEED MORE!!! HOW AM I GOING TO RECOVER FROM THIS SERIES WITHOUT RELIVING IT THROUGH AMAZING DRAWINGS OF SNOW AND KILIAN!!!
You need to read this. Yes the book is long but it is sooooo goooooddd. I was happy with the ending apart from a few minor details but that’s just me being picky. I will always be a Kilian stan. My guy never left snow, no matter what she did.
I loved the growth and depth we got of the characters in this book. Really flushed some of them out. For a self published book, this is amazing. You can really see how Wendy’s writing has progressed through them and matured.
If you want something that gives similar vibes to ACOTAR and the Mindfuck series. This is for you. Also the spice… top tier. Not a cringe moment. Chef’s kiss.
Snow and Kilian is the reason why I stay bi.
Now the reason this book didn’t get 5 stars… one thing that just really bugged me. I felt the names of the characters weren’t too creative. Made me think of characters from other books (Mal, Mor, Moregan) and some names were just too similar (Nia, Nissa, Nesrin) that I would forget who we were talking about or just get confused as some characters only show up a few times across 600 pages. The nicknames also confused me for a little. For a while we would be talking about a person with their true name (Vas) and then someone calls them their other name (Demir) I would get confused again.
Most of the names tend to start with a A, M, N, V, E. I can pretty much find multiple names in this book that start with the same letter. I just think for such a big series with so many different scenes, how it spans such a long time, and it also takes a while to read. Having characters with more unique names, starting with different letters, or sounds, makes it for a more clearer read. That or a name dictionary at the end so I know how to pronounce peoples names and who they are. It would be a lot worse on a physical book because I can’t search up a characters name to find past scenes.
The main characters are all unique, Snow, Kilian, Mal, Cai, Nia, Eren, Thora. These are great. It’s when we get into the side characters that the names get confusing.
This is 100% a nitpick of mine and in no way should stop you from reading this book. I just found that I was getting confused a little and it ended up taking me out of the story or scene I was trying to read.
Spoilers below
What I don’t like about the ending, is that after everything Snow and Kilian went through, literally almost dying! Mal and Eren just LEFT THEM!! FOR YEARS!!! I was so mad. Stupid little men who just run away from their problems even though they are needed.
Also Cai pissed me off a lot in his book! He likes Eren but was so mean and pushed him away. Makes me not want to read the novella’s cause I know I’m gonna be mad at them and want to throw the book away or scream at it…. But I trust Wendy. I hope that’s a good choice. Please be a good choice.
Thank you so much Wendy Heiss for sending me this ARC!
Season Warriors & Wolves is the third and last book in a Dark Fantasy Romance series The Auran Chronicles. I loved these books since book 1 and this last one just confirmed my conviction that this is one of my all time favorite book series.
Season Warriors & Wolves begins a few weeks after the events of SG&S and since the second book left off on a huge cliffhanger, I’m not going to say much about the plot. I was really satisfied with how things turned out and loved every single moment I spent with this book. So much is happening here, we get everything we loved in the first two books and even more, there are more of Snow’s secret plans with grand reveals, more crazy action and fighting scenes, more mind-blowing plot twists, more enemies turned allies and betrayals, more banter and of course more sweet moments between our favorite characters.
I love all characters in this series so much and am extremely happy we will get to see more of them in the upcoming novellas. But my absolute favorites are definitely Snowlin and Kilian, these two stole my heart in the first book and are one of my favorite bookish couples. I loved how perfect they are for each other and how they always support each other. After everything they went through in the first two books, here they can finally freely admit their feelings and I loved all their scenes together, the adorable and sweet ones and, of course, their amazing banter. I just love them and I’m already missing them, hope we will see them too in the novellas.
Season Warriors & Wolves is the perfect ending to an incredible series that I really loved and am already planning a reread. Seriously, that ending is perfect, I was crying through those final chapters because I didn’t want to finish this book, it is definitely one of my favorite books ever and I already can’t wait to read more books by this author. If you haven’t read this series yet and enjoy Dark Fantasy Romance books, trust me, you should give this series a try, it is truly incredible.
Wow, to say this series has taken me by a pleasant surprise is an understatement. Where to being...Wendy Heiss is a phenomenal author that effortlessly carries the balance between plot, romance, and world development. The realm of Numen is one worth remembering, with elements unique in its origins and thoroughly complex in its function. The characters operating in this world are just as distinctive, each with various magical/mythical elements that stand out amongst other fantasy series - a trait that I happen to find harder and harder to do these days. The main characters each carry individual quirks that are remarkable to their characters, and as such, make them a memorable personality. The series was a brilliantly executed transition from a villain origin story to that of an anti-hero, with solid side character reinforcements. This book serves as an outstanding piece of high fantasy work by an indie author that will always hold a special place in my heart and on my bookshelf!
Now for the book review: Season Warriors and Wolves
Leaving book 2 on a giant cliffhanger, the third installment already had me at the edge of my seat, not entirely ready for the next ball that would drop on the main characters. The prologue/beginning chapters immediately hooked me, as we left watching Snow doting upon the life she solidified with Kilian before being capture and end up seeing the old Snow resurface during the torture scenes - leaving the reader to wonder the fate of Snow's character arc/development. Sure enough, we get the formidable FMC that we knew so well from the first two books, but were treated to the cold calculations of her and Kilian's individual political affairs outside of what they so often shared in the second book. Seeing the two of them operate on their own as rulers their own kind fully rounded out their styles of leadership and the thrones they sit atop.
Perhaps my only area of concern in the beginning stages of the book were Mal's absence and Silas' odd complacency with keeping a known foe, like Snow, in close proximity and without closer watch. To learn of Mal's torture later and through a different POV made his experience seem somewhat obsolete and less like a giant gamble going into the final scenes. While Snow was used to acquire all pieces of the scepter, she was still too giant of a risk to continue keeping around. Especially with Melanthe as powerful as she was. It felt like Silas wasn't as daunting as the book made him out to be and less politically proactive/rational than he seems.
The plot following Mal and Snow's escape was great upon reunion! Penelope and Atlas were probably two of my favorites to see play into the reunion and it goes to show how loved they were despite their few and far between interactions.
And while I didn't love Nia's death feeling somewhat in vain in replacement for Alastair's (I firmly believe that writers shouldn't become too comfortable with their characters so as to not know when to kill them off), I did love seeing the two sisters reunite!
Snow's visions had me in shambles, as this isn't the first time and surely not the last that we have a prophecy where the MC was born to die for the good of the realm, but given that the next two books weren't necessarily about Snow or Kilian, I had ZERO idea what direction it would be going in. Kilian not knowing until after the fact made it even worse - even WORSE that Mal knew and did not tell Kilian.
I feel that her visions and honestly the really interesting and obscure take on how the transformation of the beasts come about made the middle of the book really great. Apart from that, it tended to drag just a smidge. Likewise, I do wish that some scenes actually played out in the book, rather than a character explaining it after the fact in their POV.
Now onto the ending...
My heart was racing. I genuinely didn't know where the story would lead and couldn't see much of a way out without either Snow or Kilian dying. I applaud Heiss for making the final battle drag on for longer than a few pages/chapters. It was built up well and we got to see the battle in its entirety. My only concern was how easy it was for some. Were it not for that and the ZERO deaths, I would've been absolutely blown away by this book.
But Silas and MELANTHE... MELANTHE!!!! were defeated WAY too easily for my taste. The series had made Melanthe to be an all-powerful witch, defying the gods and the ways of the realm for ages, only to be defeated by a simple chant by three Delcour...wasn't a fan of that take.
Silas made some sense, considering Heiss very plainly said that Silas is a man made entirely of too much armor and little power himself. While it was great that at least one of the Ybris children got to do it, I still wished it was Snow.
The battle between Snow and Aurora should've had a bit more at stake. Had Kilian or Mal or even Eren been on the brink of death, with Snow's magic hanging on by a thread, it would've felt more climactic given she had to open her seal to end it. Regardless, I was crying once Snow did finally break her seal and it was Kilian to end it all. But for BOTH...BOTH to die was like OUCH!!!
Had they stayed dead, I would've been a mess for weeks to come but Heiss would've had all of the respect in the world from me. And it would've been done so tragically beautiful. Regardless, they live in the end and i'd be lying if i said I didn't love seeing Kilian and Snow have their little family. It hurts to know that Kil hadn't seen his brother in five years and how broken Thora was being separated from Eren, but...
that's what the next two books are for! :)
Overall, this might be my second favorite series of all time. I'll never get over how these characters grew on me and how poetic Heiss could be throughout it all. I had never stick tabbed a book before until I read the Auren Chronicles and adored every bit of it.
Tutto.
I loved the ending to this core trilogy of the series. Although I will say it was a bit of a lackluster ending for me. I just think that I just loved the first two books down BAD, that this one fell just a tadddd short for me. Although, without comparing it to the other two it was a fantastic book.
This series was just phenomenal and I hope every single one of my fantasy besties read this. This third book brought all the lore still. I feel like the world building was so consistent throughout the whole series so it never felt like we got info dumping. We were still learning the lore and I was still so surprised throughout everything that we learned in this book. It was so well done, the magic, the gods/goddesses, war, and political matters were easy to follow but were so fantastical.
We got so many great dynamics in this book. Mal and Snow🥺🥺 they broke my heart. Seeing how Mal was breaking down because of what him and Snow went through while they were captives… I cried so many times. Don’t tell Snow, but I think Mal might be my favorite character🤫
Cai annoyed me LOL, I just think it’s because we haven’t really gotten in depth with his character yet. (I think we’re getting a spin story of his, I beg anyway). I get him, really, he cares so much for Snow and I love their friendship. Their friendship is just so pure, understanding, and deep. The convo they had before the final battle…. ugh my heart🥹 I love every single friendship, relationship, dynamic in this book. This was definitely my favorite part about this last book- we got so many relationships and different dynamics and we got to see so much more of them.
I think the biggest disappointment of this book was Snow wasn’t as feral as I wanted her to be. I loved seeing a little miss softie with Kilian and I appreciated her healing arc so much. It was beautiful to see and it was healing for me. And I wanted to see her soft like this, BUT I also wanted our villainous Snow too. I felt like we could see her arc happen without loosing all of her feralness. But don’t get me wrong Snow is still my heart, my love, my missus… she’s going on my favorite list of FMCs.
This book made me emotional, melancholic, and I loved every bit of it. I love these characters, the found family (that I feel apart of), and I loved how it wrapped up.
