Tag Life for me is simple. I fight, party, and fu . . . well, you get the picture. Things change when my father can no longer stand as head of the family, leaving me to step up. And that means things are about to get serious. I want to move up in my world and be seen. I also want to marry Conner Martinez’s daughter, and to do that, I’ll need the help of my best friend, Anton. The thing is, Anton loves nothing more than to compete. And seeing as the woman I love is his sister, he sets a different challenge. He’ll convince his father to let me marry Ella if I can get a cold, stone-hearted bitch to fall in love with me. In walks Lucy Clifford. She’s not impressed by my rippling muscles or my bad-boy charm. She doesn’t hang off my every word or jump into my bed when I click my fingers. It seems like an impossible task, but I’ve never backed out of a challenge. Nor have I lost a bet. So, one way or another, I’m going to get under Lucy’s skin until she falls head over heels in love with me. And then . . . I’m going to walk away and marry Ella.
Lucy Every inch of Matteo ‘Tag’ Corallo is bad. From his terrible choice of career as a cage fighter to his stupid after-party antics. I’m unimpressed by everything he has to offer, but that only seems to make him more determined to have me. Everywhere I look, there he is, shining his smile in my face and telling me how much he likes me. But I’m not the sort of woman to swoon at muscles and cash. If Tag wants me in his bed, he’s got to treat me like I’m his final conquest. And then . . . he’ll fall so deeply in love with me, he’ll never want to walk away.
Nicola Jane, a native of Nottinghamshire, England, has always harboured a deep passion for literature.
From her formative years, she found solace and excitement within the pages of books, often allowing her imagination to roam freely. As a teenager, she would weave her own narratives through short stories, a practice that ignited her creative spirit.
After a hiatus, Nicola returned to writing as a means to liberate the stories swirling within her mind. It wasn't until approximately five years ago that she summoned the courage to share her work with the world.
Since then, Nicola has dedicated herself tirelessly to crafting poignant, drama-infused romance tales. Her stories are imbued with a sense of realism, tackling challenging themes with a deft touch.
Outside of her literary pursuits, Nicola finds joy in the company of her husband and two teenage children. They share moments of laughter and bonding that enrich her life beyond the realm of words.
Nicola Jane has many books from motorcycle romance to mafia romance, all can be found on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.
Where to start? We have this disgusting pig of a hero, who literally sleeps with several women a day and degrades them by keeping score.. like he is in highschool. Our heroine is even worse, she is making excuses while her boyfriend beats her on the regular. She cheats on said boyfriend with hero, the hero is also in love with his best friend's little sister. The story was all over the place. The characters were weak as shit, and some of the shit she got away with was un-effing-believable for some mafia/mc romance. A big disappointment.
I don't even know where to start with this one. We start with Tag sleeping with several women after his fight that his friend lines up for him by giving out cards with numbers on them. Which ultimately means scores for a contest they have between them about for how many they sleep with ( exscue me I mean screw). Which this leads to Lucy because she receives one. He see the card tells her to follow him so he can do his business. She doesn't because she doesn't like how arrogant he is. (Thank God! Someone with some back bone!) So when he see she not following he sees another girl with a card and takes her instead. (Typical man right) So he goes and does the deed with the other girl. He comes back and starts talking to his friend and sees Lucy at the the bar and can't figure out why she turned him down, which of peeks his interest because no one ever turns him down. Then he makes another bet with his friend that if he gets her to love him his friend has to help him to marry his sister because that's who he really loves. So for the most part the story isn't bad. I just don't like how he has a connection with Lucy and he's still hung up on marrying ella the sister. Or how Lucy constantly caves to do as he commands when he tell her. She started off as a really smart girl with a back bone that stands up for her self, but like all the female's from previous books she accepts it and lets him treat her badly, even when she finds out about the bet and plans on marrying someone else. It's sad really! I just don't get it ! she even sees him screw someone else in her dads club house and its supposed to be ok like it never happened. ( and he supposedly loves her although he's with another girl) I'm all for angst, drama, conflict, ect, but come on do we really have to have the guy screwing other women, let alone getting caught doing it, after the main characters have gotten together. Where is that over welleming the for each other that makes them unable to do that. If you can't stop thinking about that person, how are you able to screw someone else and not expect them to be hurt by it? Why are all these books by this author like this, and why are so many people ok with it? Every one of her books have this in them. Men screwing other women, once the the to main characters get together. And of course the man loves heroin, but it doesn't stop him from doing it! Then of course the heroin never has a problem with it. How is any of that right. Just once write a book where the female lead doesn't accept this please for the love of God have one of them stand their ground thru the whole book, not just the beginning and then fall flat! And maybe not rush the ending every time!
What a waste! I was hoping for a cracker of a book. The premise of the a manhoe H, in love with another (a sweet virginal girl- another story here) but who still makes the h fall in love with him for a wager seemed a sure shot angst-trap. But this is a disaster of highly disappointing proportions!
Because --- *Firstly, the h is a super annoying, mostly an angry, snappy b*tch (for no real reason actually.) * Who for all that, lets her sissy live-in bf rough her up and rape her, on a regular basis - and still stays on! I hate fmcs who are supposedly strong but take such BS in life. *The men in this author's verse are all skanky hoes with no real respect for women. Just not hitting women doesn't make them angels. They are all domineering (not in a good way) sexist pigs. The way they use, talk to and order about women is ghastly. I hate Anton the most. *Mmc loves the ow - but f*cks everything that moves, holds sex marathons (while thinking of the ow) for which the h also gets an invite in the opening scene. *clap clap* ... Then he falls in 'loves' with the h - but that doesn't stop him either! These men like to shit in the very place they live/eat. In this Mafia meets MC, the H goes and finds himself a skank in the h's newly rediscovered MC Prez father's club, of all the places. Why not f*ck someone in the city etc? (Actually, he might be doing that too.)
*WORST and MOST ANNOYING - The irrational conflict of the story that boils your blood. The author falls on it again and and again to deflect complete onus and blame from the mmc. Like he wants to be with the h but because! As if the author could not sustain the angst/conflict with the deception of the sex-for-bet trope and his love for the ow, the fall-down, the whole mafia succession drama, ow's side drama, the MMA/MC/ lost dad stitched in - the conflict that is used as the HEA-Hurdle is that >>> she doesn't not understand his world! Would not suit him! Ugh! I call Lazy on that.
This book lacks true self-aware-ness and relativity. And the author misses so many opportunities that it's sad.
I knew what I was getting into when I downloaded this one having experienced the authors brand of fuckery before. There is nothing redeemable about these characters or romantic and heartfelt about this story. I wanted an one way ticket on the hot mess express and it def got me there! 😂 It’s pure ridiculous cringey chaos but I couldn’t put it down so yay?
Choppy, juvenile writing. I struggled to finish this one.
The ‘hero’ hooks up with women at 90% of the story, and then to get to the HEA, the author had the hero get into an accident so the heroine feels sorry for him 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Even better, the hook-up chick at 90% os never seen again beyond that scene, and the heroine never mentions it. So what was the point? 🤷🏻♀️
This was such a train wreck - and not in a good way that keeps you riveted. The heroine is such a doormat, and her new ‘family’ ended up being a bit of a let down too.
This book was majorly messed up. There was multiple scenes of outside the relationship sex even after they'd been together. I don't recall them ever saying they love each other. Tag's personality makes absolutely no sense. Is he a horrible jerk or a good guy? Why is he having sex with other women if she's his whole world, like he says? Why we're her brother and dad okay with him sleeping with other women in their clubhouse? Where's the family loyalty? It just wasn't like I hoped. It was pretty bad and the grammar is awful. It needs so much editing.
The hero shags the heroine because he's little attracted to her, but mainly as a dare and bet from his best friend who is the brother of the girl he wants. The friends dare each other to sleep with other women as a fun part of their friendship.
The heroine is no prize. She's stupid enough to stay with a fiancee that kind of strangles her and cheats on her. She then cheats on him.
Everybody is really gross and I saw notking romantic or sexy unless you think the mere connection between a penis and a vagina is romantic.
I am sorry. I tried to like this book but I cant. I read the reviews after I read the book and it seems I am in the minority. First of all, let me say, I am a fan of Ms Jane and I own several of her books. This book was just off to me. You have a couple that break up, friends that she engages with, one drops a bombshell and then nothing. We have two MC who hook up and even by the end of the book nothing is resolved. Just a happy ending...shesh...There was so many characters and none were fleshed out. I mean, good grief, she sees him having sex with another and says excuse me. Then her dad sees him and nothing. This was such a mish mash and I just couldn't like it. I know a lot enjoyed this book and to them I say to each his own. I am in the minority and that's ok. This is my honest opinion. It will not be a reread for me.
This is Nicolas best book yet! I was blown away! So many twists and turns that kept me flipping pages as fast as I could read them! This book has it all, MMA fighting, mafia, MC, and family. As with all NJ’s books there is OW/OM drama, violence, steam, twists and turns. There is a HEA but it’s not an easy road, just they way I like it! Definitely a book I’m going to be reading many times over!
same as Anton, worse on the double standards and the manipulation. in the last scene, while they have been separated for 6 months, Lucy enters a room and she sees him banging a club whore. Nothing discussed after that no confrontation nada.
worse she is pregnant with his baby and she has to freaking apologize to him for not telling him. there are good reasons but hey it is a man's world after all.
I think this one was worse than Anton.

Love this author's writing style !! Everything I read from her sucks me in and can't put the book down. Tag and Lucy is hopefully the start of another series, curious about Piper and Hulk, Ace, as even Anton. What's in their futures??? Hopefully it's in Nicola's head and will be coming in the future. 💖💖💖
Loved Tag and Lucy though I could have slapped him silly at times, my only complaint is it was over too soon I need more lol, I'm looking forward to more hopefully about Anton, Hulk and Piper, Ace , brilliant read brilliant author 😍😍
I feel Ms. Jane gets better with each book she writes. I love the way she writes the angst and the drama. She is becoming an automatic read for me. Bring on Piper and Hulk!!! (I hope)
This is book one of this series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA and wanting more! There are trigger warnings that you should look at if you are sensitive to abuse. I absolutely loved Lucy and Tag! I love that Tag had finally found someone who would stand up to him. I love that Lucy was able to get closure on some things and build her friends and family. I love how even after everything that Lucy had been through, she never let it get her down and staid strong through it all.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book pulled all the emotions out of me! One minute I was rooting for the characters the next I was wanting to throat punch the male character or knock both characters heads together lol I loved their chemistry there was plenty of laugh out loud moments and the steam was delicious! Definitely a wild and sexy journey and I loved it!.

There's on page cheating and ow stuff even after they get together and love each other. It's a disaster of a book and shouldn't at all be considered a romance. It's disgusting.
This was a new series by Nicola. She's a new favorite of mine. I know I will always get a story that is raw and gritty with extra steam thrown in. Great read!
The story could have been great but Lucy was unbearable. Before I go any further, she’s really lucky that Anton is a good man. How dare she put her hands in him, but was ok with Noah slapping her around? Also, how dare she say that Anton is not family? He’s basically Tag’s brother while she denied him his baby, and called it a tinder baby. Her nonsense about the police, while he is in the mafia and her father is the Prez of an MC was laughable. I’m glad both Anton and her father checked her about her behavior. I really hated this rich people bashing trip she was on. I don’t see anything wrong with her step father helping her out if he wanted to. What does she care what “people “ that she doesn’t even know think. This superiority complex because somehow she was more profound was irritating. Her rant against Lucille was also uncalled for. She’s the one who told her the truth and she still cut her off, talking about her real friends. She never made any effort to really understand Tag and why he was doing what he was doing, she just judged him. The whole asking a complete stranger for information was just insane. As Tag, said she jumped in and made a bigger mess by being on her high horse. Her whole poor me attitude was the worst, going around telling people that Tag, used her. It’s untrue. She’s an adult, he didn’t force her to sleep with him, and she’s hardly an innocent given that she’s cheated on her boyfriend.
I enjoyed this book and the story. I read other reviews about this book and complaints about Tag and his character. Actually Tag and the realness of his character and behavior are one of my reasons for liking this book so much. I look at these romance stories and want honesty in the world that they build from Mafia, MC, or Supernatural. If the author writes so much fantasy into the story that all the characters are squeaky clean the book would ring false. Tag is a player, along with his BFF Anton, and uses his MMA popularity to score women in a secret game. That’s how he meets Lucy. She accidentally received the number ten in the game because Anton couldn’t get to another woman who left the fight. Lucy is written as a strong woman with her own mind. She is the owner of her own business. Lucy absolutely called Tag out on their first meeting because she recognized him as a player collecting notches. Their journey starts from there but take note Tag is single and Lucy has a BF named Noah, the jerk. Now as their story progresses all sorts of things happen to keep things interesting and the angst going. I am glad that the author kept Tag authentic and still with player habits because that is what he is. In the world of this story,Tag would not all of a sudden give up the game until he settles down. It’s a good read with humor and good characters. Read On!
quick and easy read. The H is a MMA/Mafia player. He meets h after she is invited to his after fight party. He and his buddy have a sex game as to who has the most sex. The H wants to marry his bff 's sister, Elle. He has to make the h fall in love with him in order for his friend to help talk his dad into letting H marry little sis. The h finds out about bet and the H ends up engaged to Elle, a mafia princess. He of course has seconds thoughts because he misses the h. He finds out that Elle is not innocent and has been sleeping around. He ends engagement. Turns out Elle was being molested by her Dad. Her bro kills their Dad. The h connects with her Dad who ends up being President of MC. The H tries to win the h back but she doesnt take him back until he almost dies from a gun shot wound. She gets pregnant.

WTF? 🤷 Initially hard to enjoy or appreciate with confused, conflicting portrayal of h behavior.
Lucy during her interactions with Tag is characterized as a strong independent woman who doesn't take any crap. Her persona with her boyfriend of many years and supposed fiance is entirely antithetical as she accepts verbal and physical abuse and allows herself to be belittled, bashed and humiliated! The notion of her inherent strength becomes focus as times goes on and storyline ...luckily improves, but this inept origin was never rationalized. This earned it lower 3 star rating from moi!
I love everything that Nicola writes and this was another page-turner. She pulls you in from the very start and weaves a great story. Tag is sex on a stick and Lucy the kind of girl you would have as your best friend but they are SO meant to be together. He has other ideas about marrying the boss's spoilt daughter and she is engaged to Noah who I despise. He is a no good, lying pos wrapped in a rich boy facade. Throw in the search for her real father and you will be up all night reading this! Can't wait for the next one.
𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜: I am not the biggest fan of this read. I found that it had a lot going on and there was quite a few loose ends that needed tying up. I’m also not a big fan of the hero and heroine, I mean Tag literally was with OW at 90% of the book. Overall I found that this had too much going on, the chemistry between the MC’s was lacking and the ending felt rushed.
A missed opportunity. What I look for in these angsty books with a morally grey mmc is for the story to feel like they’ve come to a place where I can feel happy in their ending. I don’t mind the journey with the grit, women etc etc, but it has to feel like the fmc is a priority in the end and that we’ve had some depth in their relationship, with the words and behaviour on the page to back this up. It just fell flat unfortunately, and I felt like it was a missed opportunity….especially with the abrupt ending.
I loved everything about this book, MMA and Mafia with a little MC. Great characters and a page turning story line. Tag is a MMA fighter who is in the mob, he plays by the rules sometimes, he has promised to marry is best friends little sister which is head of the mob but before he does that he plays a game with his best friend with women. Tag meets his match with Lucy, read to find out what happens you will not be disappointed. This is a HEA and standalone.
