Falling for the Fake Boyfriend is a quick, fun read from the writing duo of Sierra Hill & SE Rose! It's the first book in their new series, and Lucy and Emmett were the perfect couple to start out with. Definitely an opposites attract situation, but these two just fit together and were so adorable that I couldn't help but get caught up in their story. Plus there were so many other intriguing and entertaining characters introduced in this one, and I'm definitely looking forward to getting to know them all better!

I loved this book! It was so easy to read and I binged it so fast I was sad it came to an end! Emmett and Lucy may be opposites but there was no denying the attention they felt toward each other. I'm a sucker for fake dating! I love the tension that builds and to watch the relationship grow!

These two played right into it! Thinking they had it all under control and it would be as simple as 3 dates and that's it! I love that they fall and fall fast! This is definitely a must read sports romance!

I am now looking forward to the next teammate to find his forever!

Lucy is Emmett's Biology tutor.... and she isn't impressed. But she does have a HUGE crush on the QB for the football team. When she shows up to an after party, Emmett figures it out! And since he has got WAY too much going on to add a girlfriend to his life, he tells her that they should fake date and it will get her crush's attention. She agrees to the arrangement. But we all know that fake dating doesn't tend to stay fake! I love the way that he helps her fin her confidence! And the way that she is so supportive of whatever he wants to do! They are totally a perfect match! I was swooning on a fairly regular basis while reading this book....and once they got to business..... they sure did make it hot!

For those of you who love new adult romances, this is something you'll enjoy; however, this story just didn't do a lot for me. The jock and tutor is a solid theme especially when it comes to fake dating, and one that I don't encounter that often since I don't read a lot of of new adult romances. Even though I don't read a lot of new adult, I really enjoyed the Fanning the Flame series these author previously wrote together, so I had to check this out.

It was a quick read, which I wasn't expecting. Lucy and Emmett had great chemistry and banter, and they were a little spicy, which I always approve off. I liked how the secondary characters played a role in moving the story forward and I'm definitely interested in future books for this series. All in all it's a good story, but I for the most part I wasn't a fan Lucy, I found her to be very immature. Does she event redeem herself in my eyes, yes, she does, but I just couldn't connect with her. Also I found the beginning a little on the repetitive side.

Falling for the Fake Boyfriend was a story that had you captivated from the beginning. Emmett and Lucy's story took you on a journey of what they thought they wanted to ultimately finding out what they really needed was right in front of them. The chemistry between these two was electric and radiated off the pages with ease. At times my heart broke when I could see the feelings being mixed with the fake and both parties hurting because of it. I will admit that at times I was angry with Lucy when she was so focused on Hendy that she didn't see Emmett. Their story stole my heart and left me with a huge smile on my face.

This story was a quick, and enjoyable read!

Emmett and Lucy’s story was so easy to become enthralled with! Their banter, chemistry and friendship really kept my attention and had me devouring this read in one sitting!

The story was very angsty at the start but Emmett definitely delivers on his steamy promises and seeing these two grow into more had me giddy like a school girl!

This was a really cute and enjoyable read.
Emmett and Lucy get caught up in a fake relationship that all too quickly feels more real than fake.
These two have witty banter, great chemistry and a close friendship.
This was full of angst, but Emmett definitely delivered on all the steam.
This fake relationship gets complicated very quickly when real feelings get in the way.
Definite page turner.

Falling for the Fake Boyfriend de SE Rose and Sierra Hill serie Clearview Falls University libro 1

Argumento:

Un jugador de fútbol.

Dos reglas simples.

Tres citas falsas.

An agreement to benefit both parties…

Lucy Parker is focused on her studies and she won’t allow anything or anyone to distract her. And yet, that includes football players. Although, there is only one football player that she is interested in, Joel Henderson, the quarterback she has a huge crush on. Unfortunately, Joel never looked at her in an interested way.
So when her latest tutoring assignment, Emmett Hudson needs her help, they make a deal… He will help Lucy to get on Joel’s radar, if Lucy agrees to be his fake girlfriend for three dates.
how odd it may seem, Emmett has his own reasons making this kind of deal, as there are just to many balls for him to keep in the air. He isn’t only worrying about the game, but now that his grades are not what they should be, Emmett could lose all the control he thought he had…
However, despite the clear agreements Emmett and Lucy made beforehand, how much of their relationship is being fake in the end?

For a while, I thought that sports romance would not be my cup of tea. All that testosterone, macho – behaviour and other clichés, to have an ending being too predictable and all the issues suddenly disappeared.
But of course, it all depends on the author of these kind of books to make it worth reading. And lately I have discovered several authors of sports romance that were worthy of my reading time, these included!

Even if I am still at the young age of nearly 37, I could rely a lot with Lucy. Now, I never was someone that could tutor a student, but I could relate to her focus, and not being the kind of girl that goes out each weekend. And for sure, just like Lucy, my clothing were (and sometimes still are) very casual, making me feel at ease.
And yes, even I had a huge crush on the most popular guy, yet I never got on his radar (his loss! 😊).

So having a lot in common with Lucy, I could also completely agree with her getting frustrated when Emmett fails to arrive on time for her tutoring. Coming late after agreed a specific time just irks me terrible!
Yet having this story showing us both sides of the same medal, I could also understand why Emmett was initially late. And I could also understand his point.

My heart went out to him, because he is trying his best to keep everything in control. And while it shouldn’t be up to him, seeing him taking care of someone who means so much to him, was making me fall in love with him, turning me into a cougar! 😊

Lucy and Emmett couldn’t be more different from each other, somehow the nerd vs. the popular footballer.
Yet they manage to strike up a friendship, based on faking being together. I loved reading how the both of them are looking after each other, even if that wasn’t part of the initial plan. And of course it was marvellous to see how genuine they are together, not even realizing that there is no question of them faking to care about each other.

And those streaks of jealousy of Emmett, even if those moments were terrible for him, for me they were hilarious! At the same time we also see how Lucy starts to realize that Joel/Hendy may not be the man she truly wants but it may be that obnoxious football player she is tutoring. Just priceless moments, all of them!

Yes, I am deliberately not talking about the heated moments between Lucy and Emmett. Because while they were absolutely heated, I found them also sweet and tender and I just want you to discover those moments yourself, without me spoiling anything!

There was one part I hated in the story… and it’s the terrible ending of the second act, where everything seems to crash in an unfixable way… I hated to see how these two lovely characters, even according to their plans, break up whatever they had. It was so frustrating to see their inability to express their true feelings, keeping up the pretence that everything was just that, pretence…

But luckily for us, invested readers, there is a third act, which allowed me to forgive these wonderful authors for what they made me go through!

I truly enjoyed reading this story about two total opposites spending time together. Because them realizing that not every cliché is true, and finding something they didn’t know they were looking for, was an absolute treat to read! I was initially bit worried that I would end up disappointed, but my fears were totally unfounded!

I love new adult books like these. The ones where the characters just seem like regular engaging characters without a lot of super dark drama or the overly rich a-holes. Emmett and Lucy are very relatable college students. It’s so odd to say that. This is one of the few, of many I’ve read, college themed romances that actually feels like a real college romance, dealing with stuff college kids deal with: trying to make good grades to keep a scholarship, getting caught making out in a random frat house bedroom, ordinary college students rather than the overused trope of the spoiled rich kids who have their own houses.

Emmett needs a tutor to keep his grades up so he can stay on the football team and Lucy steps in to help. In return she needs his help to get closer to her long-time crush, Joel, the captain of the football team. So Emmett proposes a fake relationship to make Joel jealous. I loved everything about these two. Lucy’s spunkiness and Emmett’s huge heart. Watching these two fall for each other while pretending to be in a relationship was one of the few books that this actually felt natural and that it could really work. Some of the other books like this with fake relationships seems so far-fetched. And oh Lord his roommate Killer is so entertaining I can’t wait for his own book.

These are sweet characters building a relationship with sexy steamy sex. For me these type of books are the ones that give you the refreshing breather between the intense gut wrenchers and over stuffed drama. Don’t get me wrong there’s a lot of emotion and feelings happening in this one, and I shed a few tears, but it doesn’t drain you and consume you. As this is the beginning of a football series, I’m looking forward to the other players, specifically Joel’s character, getting his story, if that’s in the works.

#fallingforthefakeboyfriend is book one in the new #cfuseries by @seroseauthor and @sierrahillbooks.

Emmett: Football. Family. Determination. Emmett wants to make something of himself. It’s why he’s stretching himself, thin to take care of his Nana, and be nothing like his father. As hard as he’s working on the football field and in class, it’s just not enough. He finds himself needing a tutor. They don’t start off on the right foot, but after more sessions together things change. Lucy isn’t what he expected and realized he judged her quickly. They decide that a fake relationship is a way for them to both get what they want. But the longer they fake this, the more real it becomes. Emmett realizes how special Lucy is. Can they have this develop into something real or will they both get their initial end result and lose each other?

Lucy: Smart. Awkward. Pretender. Lucy is a smart girl just wanting to make some extra money tutoring. Helping out a jock isn’t what she had in mind but is willing to try, but she’s judging Emmett quickly. As their tutoring sessions go on, she sees him in a different light. The fake relationship deal they made starts to have blurred lines. Being around him makes her realize exactly what she truly wants in a man. She might be awkward around some guys, but he makes her feel grounded and confident. Will her priorities change as time goes on or is every fake relationship bound to end at some point?

I enjoyed this book! This duo always writes enjoyable stories. I love a college romance with fake dating. True feelings naturally end up coming out and the reality sets in that maybe it wasn’t so fake after all. I loved that Lucy was awkward, but stood her ground with Emmett. They both judged each other quickly, but saw their faults. I loved their relationship, the banter, and how easy things seem to be. Even with tense moments, you could feel the emotions of the characters. I really enjoyed this book and hope there’s a lot more to come in the series!

Falling For The Fake Boyfriend
SE Rose

Book #1 Clearview Falls University Series
Close proximity, sports, and fake boyfriend tropes

Welcome to CFU! We meet two college students, Emmett and Lucy, whose paths cross by fate. Emmett is on the football team and failing one of his classes. His coach sets him up with a tutor, Lucy. Lucy has had a crush on a particular boy since grade school and Emmett is her perfect in to get her crush’s attention. Unfortunately, their scheme works a little too well, on everyone involved. When the teacher becomes the student, feelings for each other grow and they both end up getting hurt. Who will Lucy choose? Or will she choose no one and focus on school?

I enjoyed this read! I actually felt like I was back in college, right there with them. The main characters share a few very steamy scenes, which I am sure you will enjoy as much as I did! I love the banter between Lucy and Emmett. Lucy is tough on Emmett not knowing how full his plate is in life. She thinks he is just a privileged jock who gets everything handed to him. The tough decisions and responsibilities Emmett keeps hidden are experienced by people in real life. Including these challenges on top of college, shows us how strong we are and that we can do amazing things when we put our minds to it. Over time Emmett starts to believe in himself because Lucy believes in him. The support Emmett knows is there without Lucy even having to say it, is a testament to what we are capable of with unconditional love and support from those closest to us. I am looking forward to the next book in the series where we will see two of their friends hit it off! Thanks for an entertaining read!

Fake or real?

S.E. Rose and Sierra Hil have once again collaborated to write a new series, Clearview Falls University, book #1 is FALLING FOR THE FAKE BOYFRIEND. Emmett and Lucy's story was easy to read, sweet, fun, and full of wonderful banter. A fake relationship that was thoroughly entertaining.

Emmett is on CFU's football team, and he's struggling, not with football but with everything else in his life. Between caring for his grandmother, work, and football, Emmett's grades are falling. So, his coach has organized some tutoring for him, otherwise he would be kicked off the team. Lucy is attending CFY on a scholarship, she tends to keep to herself as she has been known to suffer from panic attacks, especially in loud situations. While their first meeting doesn't exactly go as planned, it's not long before a friendship is formed.

At first I found it hard to like Lucy, she seemed quick to judge Emmet, even though she never bothered to find out what was going on. She had a crush on Hendy, a player who was always seen with a different girl, but that didn't bother Lucy - something which I couldn't quite understand. Emmett was such a caring guy with a big heart, he could see that Lucy liked Hendy and was willing to enter a fake relationship with her to make Hendy jealous. I enjoyed watching Lucy's feelings for Emmett grow, even though she was confused about them. Could Emmett show Lucy that she needed to look closer to home for the boy who really liked her before it was too late?

A wonderful read with great characters, awesome banter, and heaps of fun. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Emmett and Lucy seem like complete opposites, she’s his tutor and he’s a football player. A fake relationship that could benefit them both seems like a great idea until feelings start to get twisted. Emmett is this incredibly thoughtful gentle giant whose heart is gold and when he comes up with this idea of fake dating he is doing it for all the right reasons and Lucy agrees without knowing his entire situation and all the stress he carried. I absolutely loved and adored Emmett and Lucy I liked her but there were a few times I was ready to throw down with her. She misjudged him right out of the gate and continued to throughout I was ready to forgive her for all that, but the more time she spent with Emmett and real feelings came to light she kept ignoring them acting confused as to why she felt anything for him and kept going after Hendy. I realize that was the goal for Emmett to help her get her crush (Hendy), but she has the beautiful loyal man in front of her and she still went after the player who had different women under his arm right in front of her. She came off as naive and immature for not realizing Hendy wasn’t changing for any one let alone her and he only showed her attention because she was on Emmett’s arm. Then when Emmett was just trying to protect her and keep her from looking like the fool at a party she gets mad at him?! It made me mad at her and I felt Emmett deserved so much better. Overall this read was great with some fun banter, great side characters, and I really did enjoy it I hope the others get books too.

pretty good

College sports romance. Fake relationship between football player and his tutor, a nerd who has had a crush on the college quarterback since she knew him in hs. The relationship works, in terms of she gets the attention of the playboy QB (and other teammates as she’s very attractive). But of course, the plan backfires when the fake relationship becomes more. The plot sounds a bit trite but it actually works due to the charm of Lucy and Emmett, and even QB Hendy. Not a huge amount of angst or ow/om drama. The characters have heart and don’t act in too terrible ways such as too whiny, too insecure, too playboy, too immature, etc. There wasn’t a huge amount of pages devoted to football, locker rooms, coaches, etc. I love a good sports story, but for once, Emmett wasn’t focused on his game and trying to make it into the NFL. It was a refreshing change. I thought it dragged a bit for me in the middle, but I skimmed and then I really enjoyed the last 25% very much. There’s more of a “happily for now” ending rather than an HEA. The epilogue only jumps forward a few months and stresses how they have more college years left. But, this is the first in a series and I’m sure we’ll get to see these characters again. Even though I took off a *, I’m looking forward to more in this series. Sometimes an enjoyable college story is just right, without triggers or too much angst!

Clearview Falls University #1

Lucy chose Clearview Falls to be close to family and for the microbiology program, and it gave her the best scholarship offer. She's not really involved in all the extracurricular activities at school, preferring to be a homebody but also not liking to be in loud noisy situations since they could push her into a panic attack.

Emmett is on the University's football team as a wide receiver. He has a lot on his plate taking care of his grandmother, working, plus his school work along with football. But now his coach is forcing him to get a tutor to keep his grades up or he's off the team.

Emmett's first meeting with Lucy didn't go so well since he was late because he was helping his grandmother but didn't tell her that. She has rules for him to follow and that means don't be late!

When he sees her at a party she looks completely different, he thinks she's beautiful. He finds out she has had a crush on his teammate since high school and comes up with a fake dating plan so her crush will see her and want to date her.

What starts out as fake turns into "lessons" and spending a lot of time together and they get really close but they had an agreement to stage a break up in front of everyone and did.

Was it really "fake" dating?

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. This is the first book I have read by SE Rose/Sierra Hill and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This is the first book in the series and I am looking forward to the next ones. This is a fun new adult romance. Has all your angst of finding one’s way at a young age while finding romance.

This book follows Emmett, a football player for the university, and Lucy, a smart girl who is usually overlooked by the popular kids. Emmett is struggling with a lot (taking care of his grandma, school, football, etc) and ends up needing a tutor or he won’t be able to play football. Enter Lucy who in general does not like jocks but takes the job. Her and Emmett strike a deal…three fake dates for Emmett to get his friends off his back and he’ll help Lucy catch the attention of the team quarterback who she has crushed on since high school. The two learn a lot about each other as they study and go on dates which start to include some physical aspects. Emmett starts to catch feelings but knows Lucy likes someone else. Lucy has confused feelings as she has always wanted one guy but now is starting to have feelings for Emmett. Being young kids of course they don’t just talk to each other. All part of what makes the story good!

Overall a fast read and very well written. If you like new adult sports romance worth the read.

I seriously question how bright or mature Lucy is. If the goal was to create an idiot MC who needs a smack in the head several times, then congrats to the author for succeeding.

Lucy thinks she likes manwhore, Hendy, as he’s called. Why!? Because she’s an immature child who is shallow and just wants popularity.
When she meets Emmett she writes him off as a dumb jock, which was really offensive but never re-addressed.

Soon enough she and Emmett agree to fake date. We will see Lucy avoid eating dinner despite being hungry because she’s afraid Hendy will see her eat and think, what? Gross she eats food!? Lucy is clearly an idiot and super ridiculous. Why does she want to be noticed by a man who sleeps with every girl, never noticed her repeatedly, and acts like a dick at times!?

Over time, Emmett and Lucy both end up being attracted to each other. But Lucy keeps reminding herself that her end goal is Hendy, and she must just be confused…😑 Lucy annd Emmett will even have sex, but of course, Lucy still wants Hendy. Wtf!

I mean I’m glad Emmett gets the girl, but I seriously disliked Lucy’s character, so much so that the book couldn’t be redeemed for me. Story isn’t terrible, pretty predictable in that sense which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I just hated how awful Lucy is.

So Emmett and Lucy have a deal. Fake relationship for tutoring and maybe some heat off of Emmett from his teammates. Totally fake. So….why does it feel so real? And will they find the courage to be honest with each other before everything blows up in their faces?

I found both Emmett and Lucy utterly likable. Yeah, she has a bit of a pie in the sky dream based on childhood feelings, but Emmett proves to be an absolutely standup guy by trying to help her achieve said dream, even if it means breaking his own heart in the process. But if he would just communicate, he’d know where her head and heart really are now. And the same goes for Lucy. She’s afraid of rocking the boat too much and being humiliated if she puts herself out there for real, only to find that Emmett doesn’t feel the same things she does.

But who knew that the one to help them figure it out is also the one who could destroy it all? I mean, if that person really wanted to try for a chance, that is. Instead, said person proves just how much they really see and how nice they can be at their core by helping to force the feelings to the surface for meaningful communication.

I enjoyed this one immensely and look forward to whatever Killian and Grace may have going on next!

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a sports romance in college. It is very light on football. Its more about life at college and the male lead is on the football team and has football friends.

In this story we meet Emmett and Lucy, they are as opposite as can be. Emmett is a very busy football player, whose father is the worst, but he has an awesome grandma that he helps out a lot. In addition to football, he is struggling in school and ends up needing a tutor and that is how Lucy enters his life.

Lucy has a crush on this football player and Emmett is single and is teased about his lack of hookups. So when Emmett proposes they fake date for three different events to try and make Lucy's crush notice her and get the guys to stop teasing him, it's a GO!!

This was a cute, hot, sexy and fun romcon. Both Lucy and Emmett are really great people. It was awesome watching them really see each other, be there for each other and have fun together.

This is book 1 in a series and is loosely connected to Fanning The Flames which is about Lucy's brother Landon. In future books Lucy's friends will find love and I can't wait to read more.

✨Fake Dating
✨Jock & Tutor
✨College Romance

Dual POV
First in the Clearview Falls University Series

This book was just too cute! I am a big football fan, so I was immediately drawn to this book.

Emmett & Lucy meet because Emmett is in danger of failing his science class and his coach is forcing him to get a tutor, which ends up being Lucy. While at a frat party one night, they bump into each other and Emmett realizes his attraction for Lucy. He also realizes Lucy’s crush on one of his teammates. Emmett takes the opportunity to get closer to Lucy by proposing a fake relationship with her so that he can help her land his teammate. Along the way, the lines are blurred and feelings from both seem to be crossing the line of whether the relationship is still indeed fake.

The chemistry between these two is 🔥! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, which happens to be about Emmett & Lucy’s friends, who you meet in this book! 🥰

If you love a good sport romance and fake dating trope, this is definitely the book for you! ❤️

4.5 Stars for Falling For The Fake Boyfriend
This is Emmett and Lucy’s story and boy do they have an entertaining tale to tell. It was only meant to be fake, she was meant to tutor him and hopefully relieve the pressure his teammates were putting on him. It’s meant to be fake but it really doesn’t feel like fake…….
Lucy is the shy college student who prefers to curl up with a book to frat parties. Her best friends are her roommates and she has her sight set on her future and has no idea that when she is assigned to tutor Emmett her life would soon be turned around…….
This is a story about two totally opposites who are extremely attracted to each other and what starts off as a friendship soon turns into a fake relationship. So what will it take for Emmett and Lucy to admit their feelings, one click to find out.
This is a short read but it still packs a mighty punch, it has wonderful characters and it’s beautifully written. I’m excited for what’s coming next from the very talented Ms Rose and Ms Hill.

Emmett needs a tutor to keep his scholarship and stay on the team. Lucy gets cajoled into tutoring another jock by her teacher. The first lesson doesn’t start so well as Emmett’s life makes him late. They find themselves at the same party and make a pact: she’ll be his fake girlfriend to make her more ‘attractive’ to his teammate who she’s crushed on for years, and in return she’ll take the pressure off him from his teammates to ‘get a life’.
Somewhere ‘fake’ got lost along the way and Emmett and Lucy find themselves breaking the rules they set, but they made an agreement so they see it through to the end. If only the end didn’t hurt so much.
A sweet, steamy football romance where the main characters are sure of what they want until they get it and then it’s not really all they thought it was. Personal growth and great friends make for fun moments and just a hint of angst. A great read and I look forward to reading what happens with other characters in the next books in this new series.

I received a free copy from the author and this is my honest review.

I really wanted to like "Falling for the Fake Boyfriend," but in a lot of ways, it felt more like a first draft than a finished book. The main characters, their relationship, and several key aspects of the plot felt underdeveloped to me. In short, while it had potential, IMO the story fell flat in the execution and would have benefited from further editing prior to publication.

My biggest problem related to the central romantic relationship between college football player Emmett Hudson and his tutor, fellow college student Lucy Parker. Their chemistry was questionable and it seemed as if they mostly latched on to each other out of convenience, not because of any genuine romantic interest. Lucy's main concern was making her high school crush, Hendy, jealous, a sub-plot that went on for way too long and consumed far too much of the story. It was tough to believe in the strength of Lucy's feelings for Emmett when she was busy "staring dreamily" into Hendy's eyes and kissing him at 86% of the way through the book. Emmett's feelings weren't necessarily believable either because for as much as he claimed that Hendy was one of his best friends, they didn't actually seem to like each other very much. I couldn't tell if Emmett truly cared about Lucy or just wanted to beat Hendy at winning her affections.

My other big problem with this book was the way the football program was described. It wasn't clear to me if it was a Division I (D-I) program, but it seems like it must have been since Emmett was attending college on a full athletic scholarship. My understanding is that D-II schools usually only give partial athletic scholarships, and D-III schools don't normally offer athletic scholarships at all. Bottom line, Emmett was probably a pretty good player, so why did he spend so much time agonizing over what to do after graduation when there was probably a realistic chance for him to go pro? He made it seem like Hendy was the only player on the team who had a shot at being drafted, which seems very strange to me. If Hendy (and only Hendy) was that talented, he wouldn't still be playing for their team. He would have transferred to a more prestigious program to give him a better shot at the draft. At any rate, I wish all of this had been fleshed out a bit more, though I know it may not be as bothersome for other readers as it was for me. (I'm a huge NCAA football fan and my brother played for a D-I program, so I've been around it for a long time.)

Despite the above frustrations, there were several things I did like about the book, particularly some of the secondary characters. I was especially intrigued by the setup for Emmett's friend and roommate Killian's book, which I believe will be the next one in the series. Hopefully the authors will take the opportunity to address some of the outstanding questions about the football program in that story.

This was a quick and cute read that I got through in a few hours. I absolutely adored Emmett, he was so sweet and I was just waiting for Lucy to realize her feelings for him were real. I mean how, can you not fall for a man that is willing to give you up just so you can have what you think you want?

I did have one pet peeve with this book and that Emmett needing tutoring for a microbiology class. He wouldn’t be taking a higher level biology class unless he was a science major, which he clearly was not. And as someone who was a science major in college, it’s something that annoyed me. I honestly debated on whether or not to put this in my review, but it irritated me so much that it stuck with me throughout the entire book so I felt I had to.

That annoyance aside, I did enjoy reading this and I’m definitely curious about Killian and Grace’s book. If you want a cute, sweet, quick read with the fake dating trope, then give this one a try.

Another fantastic read from this amazing writing duo. Sierra Hill & S.E Rose brings us a new series and we get to meet Emmett Hudson football player at Clearview Falls University and an all around great guy who does everything he can for his grandma. When he needs to bring up his grades he needs a tutor but when he meets Lucy it doesn’t start off on the right foot.
Lucy Parker is a young woman who sticks to her schoolwork and her friends but when she is asked to tutor a football player she hesitates until she realizes he might help her meet her long time crush.
What Emmett and Lucy don’t realize is that the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts and the banter is just as much fun but can something that’s suppose to be fake turn into something real. Watching them both try to navigate through all the emotions and realities of them more together then apart is just fun to see and hoping they can realize they can possibly have a HEA.

Emmett is a football player with a huge heart, and it was super easy to fall for him immediately. Lucy becomes his tutor so that's where their journey begins. They're definitely complete opposites and yet, actually perfect for each other. He gets her to enter into a fake relationship to help her out, but you already know that fake won't stay fake as the lines blur & feelings start getting caught. It becomes super complicated with the push & pull as Lucy is determined to ignore those feelings which had me all kinds of frustrated with her quite a bit because seriously, Emmett was all that & a bag of chips. It kept me turning the pages quickly because I needed to see if she got her head out of her behind, but I'll never tell so you'll have to just experience this story for yourselves. The chemistry/heat is on point, there's humor with witty banter to keep me entertained, and of course a push & pull that took it out of me so yeah, I loved this story so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

ARC Review

🏈Falling for the fake Boyfriend🏈

By Sierra Hill & S.E. Rose

Rating:  ⭐️5/5

Emotions: ❤️5/5

A wonderful and enjoyable read. Lucy and Emmet’s story is full of chemistry and banters.

Lucy is smart and likes the quiet. She prefers to be at home and isn’t known for extracurricular activities.

Emmet has a lot going on. Football, school, helping his grams and working takes all of his time. But to stay on the team he needs a tutor to keep his grades up.

Emmet and Lucy’s first encounter doesn’t begin in the best way. He is late and she has rules.

When Emmet finds out about Lucy’s secret crush when they meet at a party he offers her a fake relationship, so her crush notices her.

But of course fake dating etc  turns into something else. Lines blur, but an agreement is that, and so things have to end. But was fake really fake?

A girl with the issue of being seen and a boy who’ s offer could break his own heart.
