Seriously, whoever was in charge of the cover art's desicion was probably hallucinating because when the fuck were these two like that??? It's true that there's been a tiny bit of progress into the right direction, meaning - drum roll please - Yoon Seungho is finally doing the bare minimum! So, let's see. He bought very expensive medicine for Na-kyum, after he fucked him so hard he got a fever. Or maybe he already had a fever, which is kind of worse. He also bought him new winter clothes, of course, after he fucked him at the tailor shop. And... wait, that's actually it. Wow, what a character development *insert the biggest eye-roll you can imagine* Anyway, there was also interesting tiny insight into Seungho's relationship with his father (doesn't seem to be good), so maybe we'll get some explanation why he's such an asshole in the next vol.



Baek Na-kyum hasn't really changed much either but I don't hold this against him. Poor baby still has it rough but I'm glad that he at least has that old servant, who seems to care about him. Everyone looks at him with disdain because he's lowborn, other servants don't like him because Yoon Seungho "dotes on" him, while Seungho is actually just using him. And imo, the worst is Jung In-hun, who thinks he has the right to look down on him, while the truth is, he's the biggest scum of them all. I just want for Na-kyum to have some peace and quiet (oh, btw apparently Jihwa now wants to get him murdered???), and for Seungho to finally start treating him like he deserves. Poor boy is so confused about his emotions and feeling so lonely, that he's prepared to pretend that Seungho's actions are affection. The only time when he doesn't need to think is when he's with Yoon Seungho.

"Can't you just hold me now...? You used to touch me whenever you liked, even when I said no..."

Yoon Seungho, if you don't hug this poor baby for real in the next vol, I swear I'm putting you on my 'to castrate' list!! A little off topic, but I just remembered I was thinking when I was reading that Na-kyum really cries A LOT, especially because Seungho doesn't even seems to be into dacryphilia. I'm serious, babygirl, tears really won't save you here. However, now I have a perfect excuse for this gif! In case you were wondering, no I'm not over Payback and I doubt I'll be anytime soon.

Anyway, I know my reviews sound like I'm really annoyed (well, I am but Seungho looks very hot when he's annoyed, so that's not necessary a bad thing) but at the same time I'm enjoying it like watching a soap opera - it frustrates you but you're unhealthily invested in it. I have no idea what to expect in the next volume but I'm counting on that hug. Now, I'm gonna treat us to another jaysun gif because I'm talking way too much about possible characters development for a manhwa that's 75% porn.

It was a weird weekend when I read #1 and #2 of this story, I didn't get it, but was weirdly glued to the screen. Then I left it there, and I have to admit I don't care anymore to know how it went.

So I'm gonna DNF.

Finished, 4:52am...Painter of the Night is making me go insane, or maybe I was already crazy from the beginning? Omg TT TT... That ending... I'm lost for words...Na-Kyum my poor baby...Even if you're not innocent anymore, you're still precious... Why must terrible stuff always befall upon you...? I can't believe I rated this above 4 stars... And I can't believe Seungho cried... Two things that I never thought possible happened at the same time... I want the next volume to come quickly (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

P. S. Is Lord Min dead yet? That bastard better be dead or else I'm actually going to start ripping out my hair in a fit of rage.

Out of the 3 seasons of Painter of the Night, this 3rd season is my favorite! 🥰 Seungho's character growth, Nakyeom growing even more beautiful, and them falling in love! Plus the flow of the story is really, really, really good for this season.

I can't wait to see where this is going and I'm trusting is going somewhere. At the moment, everything is very dramatic but I have faith that at some point we are going to get more plot and less smut. I can't wait for the murder plot honestly.

Ahora, sí. Las escenas románticas son tiernas pero no me lo termino de creer, no puedo olvidar el pasado. ¿Puede Seungho ir a terapia y pedirle perdón a NaKyum mil veces para ver si así puedo entrar en el mood?

De verdad, ojalá el Inhun no aparezca más. Y dónde haya sido cómplice, yo- 🔪🔪

Ahora, ESA ESCENA. Yo odio a Seungho y me da miedo, pero sólo podía pedir que los matara. Su cara no fue lo suficiente maníaca, le vi peores. Pero los mató y eso me hizo demasiado feliz.

De verdad, espero que con esto termine el sufrimiento (físico) a mi bebé, ahora le toca al otro pendejo. Es que yo estaba que me vomitaba y ahogaba con esa escena lptm. 😭

Na Kyum finalmente inizia a capire il vero carattere del Maestro, che fino ad ora lo ha sfruttato solo per suo tornaconto. Il pittore, disperato, cerca conforto tra le braccia di Seungho, che per quanto sia infastidito dalle ragioni del giovane, si lascia sedurre di buon grado. Si può dire che questa è la prima volta che Na Kyum sia totalmente consenziente in un rapporto sessuale con il suo padrone.
I problemi comunque sono sempre in agguato e mentre i familiari di Seungho iniziano a presentarsi alla sua porta per chissà quale ragione legata al padre che sembra essere malato, l'ex amante, geloso dell'attenzione che Seungho sta dedicando totalmente al pittore, assume un Senza Nome per farlo uccidere. Riuscirà nell'intento?

After re-reading this series. I still have so many mixed feelings. The consent is disappointingly inconsistent and frankly the fact that the protag essentially ignores the whole reason he and the main love interest got to know each other is sickening because logically speaking it's surely quite the obstacle to feelings developing. But yes, this webcomic is like a korean period drama of gay stockholm syndrome. Its saving grace is solid writing and characters ( not in terms of morality but rather entertainment value); that's really it.

What a season 3!!!! I literally read each chapter twice

They were soooo intimate with each other from blushing, to smiling and spending time together.
From Seungho to claim with "He is mine" to they finally confessed and it took us 94 chapters for Nakyum to admit first😍

I don't like to mention the last part, but they deserved to die from hurting Nakyum and to gain their own satisfaction - no waaaaaay, Lord Seungho did them gooood

I'm in LOVE with the artwork, there are soooo many panels/frames that I want to capture and save forever in my mind

No estoy soportando. No puede ser que le pase esto a mi pobre Nakyum. Después de todos los altibajos, al final él y Seungho estaban acercándose demasiado, a pesar de que Seungho aún no cree que pueda tener sentimientos por él y trate de evadirlos (fracasando, por supuesto). Los capítulos que se vienen son muy fuertes para mi Nakyum… malditos celos, que lo llevan a hacerle eso a él.

Seguí leyendo y aunque era un poco más de lo mismo, porque el manhwa está relleno de una cosa, sexo y personas tratando de dañar/abusar de un personaje... a estas alturas ya no sé que pensar, sólo sé que no es ni de lejos el mejor manhwa bl que he leído. Sigo dándole un punto de más por las ilustraciones.

Al principio estaba medio aburrido pero a partir de el capítulo 53... Uff, pasó de todo. Pelea, sentimientos asimilados (o queriendo reconocerse), vemos un poquito del pasado de mi señor Seungho... y ese final... ¡No puede ser! ¡Todo se fue a la borda! Pobre Na-Kyum, lo que se te espera...😭😭😭, y eso que todo iba tan bien 😩😩😩

The story keeps getting so much deeper with every volume! He's so heartbroken and trying to painfully dive into what his Learned Sir thinks he is. 😭😭 And now there's an assassin?! Ugh, The next volume cannot get here quick enough!
