When Alexander Toth introduces his bonded mate to his family, he’s confronted with the dark secrets of his werewolf ancestry. Afraid of what might happen to Chloe if he loses control of the beast within, he isolates himself in the realm of the fae before it's too late.

But a web of deceit ensnares those who cross the boundaries of two worlds . . .

As the pair grapple with illusions of horror, they must rely on the threads of fate to overcome their nightmares and the mastermind who weaves them. And to survive, they’ll have no choice but to face their fears—even when they’re reflected in the mirror.

ALLY PATRA is an author of love, death, sexuality, and all matters most sacred and holy. She is a writer of quantum entanglement of the soul—one who sinks her fangs into a love that aches down to the bone marrow, claws its way from the ribcage, and devours. And when it asks for seconds, she tears it open instead, dissects its innards, and smears its essence across the page.

Inspired by love that is timeless and knows no boundaries or end, but instead enriches and enlivens the tapestry of beauty in which we currently reside—with both its light and its shadow.

Not for the faint of heart. Raw, honest, emotional, and authentic.

If you love spicy paranormal romances (especially featuring werewolves) I would 100% recommend this series to you. This is a multi POV book featuring spice, romance, fantastical creatures, other woman and found powers.

I think Ally blew it out of the water with this second installment of the Midnight & Gold series. I had a blast reading this. She brought such an interesting and creepy world to us in this book that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!

It follows Alex and Chloe in their life after their traumatizing nights from book 1. The hardship didn’t end in those woods, they still have some major issues to face.

Alex is a werewolf, but not just any, the soon to be King. Now he has mated himself with a human girl and needs to introduce her to the family. To their dismay, she is not welcomed in with open arms. His mother wants them apart, but he may come to realize that may be the safest option.

How Ally is able to write such lovely spice and such nightmarish characters and merge them seamlessly amazes me. It was an absolute wild ride and I loved it!

This book had be saying “shes a b****” a lot! There is another woman whom Alex’s family and council meant for him to mate with. I don’t mind the “other woman” trope at all. It is a large part of this book so if having someone trying to interfere with a relationship bothers you, you may get frustrated. Personally it was a fun aspect to this story and Ally did an amazing job making me internally swear.

Chloe: She may not have been my favorite character in this book, I think due to her being weak and timid. I usually enjoy female characters growing through the book but I feel she didn’t grow through most of the book and it was a little aggravating because she is such a strong woman but can’t see that in herself. It is the only reason I’d give it a 4 instead of 5!

Alex: I think Alex is a great character who does everything for his family and Chloe. He encounters a lot of hard choices in this book and each one is for the better of everyone around him. However he seems to be a little dense when it comes to Chloe's struggles with her self worth.

Entangling the Web, the second book in the Midnight & Gold series by Ally Patra, is a captivating and intense journey that will keep readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The author's talent for crafting a complex and intricate plot is on full display as we delve deeper into the world of supernatural beings and the complex relationships between them.

Chloe and Alexander are fully fleshed out characters with their own strengths, flaws, and insecurities, making them feel incredibly real and relatable. As they face new challenges and struggles, readers are taken on an emotional rollercoaster that keeps the pages turning.

Additionally, the spicy scenes were a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated, adding a tantalizing layer to the already engaging storyline.

Overall, Entangling the Web is an excellent addition to the Midnight & Gold series and a must-read for fans of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Ally Patra's writing is spellbinding, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in the next installment.

As much as I love the story of Alex and Chloe, Vanessa has become one of my fav characters!! Glad to see her more in this book!

There’s a lot more action and drama in this one. A LOT of family drama. And the ending just pulls me in. I can’t wait to see the next book!
