I kissed a hot fae guy to start a temporary mate bond between us... and now I'm pretending I haven't been seeing visions of our future together for the past year and a half.

At first, I didn't realize what I was seeing. Who would assume steamy dreams and brutal nightmares were what the future held?

But then my fake mate, who was the subject of said hot dreams, hauled me off to his house and told me I belonged to him.

That abduction just about set off the horrific future I've seen coming. Now I have to figure out a way to stop this war before it happens... or we'll have much bigger problems than my temporary mate's possessive declaration that I'm his .

why is it soooo good

No because this book has absolutely no right being this good. I really enjoyed the first book within the series and I usually have a hard time enjoying the second but I absolutely LOVED North and Priel’s story. Like of course, who doesn’t want to fall head over heels in love with a man who is OBSESSED with you oh yeah and he can also turn into a hellhound. Like seriously automatically on TBR. Hahah either way the character development and growth within this book is absolutely amazing and from north starting out as this shy timid girl to blossoming into totally crazy boss character is literally everything for me. Thank you Lola glass & booksprout for the opportunity to be an early reader!

North y Priel.

Was it entertaining? Sure. Was it good? Questionable. I am having the same issues with this book as the first one. The story was entertaining, the characters kept me intrigued and the chemistry was undeniable. But I still had issues with the writing style utilised, though it wasn’t as prominent as in the first book.

Priel, the MMC was an unhinged, feral and possessive but also funny, flirty, playful and attentive character. He was quite a well-rounded fae. But it is worth mentioning that he was more playful at the beginning, maybe for the first 25%, and more possessive and pretty much feral for the rest of the book. But then again, that was his character about, hence the title of the book. I wasn’t a huge fan of him turning all feral and losing himself to his baser instincts, but then we did learn that he was still very much in control so that sort of balanced his unhinged behaviour. However, it was still not my favourite personality trait. It is a personal preference though, so I’m sure many people would really enjoy a character like that because he was well written overall.

North was a very closed off character who needed time to open up as a result of her trauma. She was a lot like Ari from the first book, hard shell around her heart and antisocial, but rather than turning her into a raging character, it turned her into someone detached. I did prefer North over Ari from the first book because we could see her struggles in the sense that she didn’t immediately adjust to this new world, she didn’t immediately learn how to use her new fae abilities, she didn’t become friends with each and every side-character from the get-go. She needed time and encouragement which felt more natural. But I’m also quite sure I connected with her more because of her narrative, the writing style that was used to showcase a different personality. She wasn’t as crass, and she wasn’t cussing in literally every inner monologue. However, I still felt that it was still quite prominent, so I wished that was toned down. Her inner monologues also felt deeper, it didn’t remain on a surface level which was definitely a plus.

I think one aspect that I really liked was the angsty moments that their cultural differences created. The first book pretty much showed two characters who were on the same wavelength from early on, but in this book the characters sometimes struggled to understand each other and not necessarily because they didn’t communicate, though that happened as well, but because they were from two different worlds. They had many things in common, but I definitely appreciated the differences both in the way they communicated and the way they behaved because this side of the romance showcased that not every relationship starts off smoothly. There was chemistry between the characters from the very first page they appeared on together, but the angsty moments that the differences created made it even more entertaining and in a way realistic, if that’s something that could be said about fiction.

The writing style was again on the weaker side. It seems that each story’s narrative is written in a different writing style to emphasise the differences between the main characters of each book which I think is a really good idea, but the execution of it is not really to my liking. The cussing and cursing really cheapens the story and the writing. A strong female character doesn’t need to swear all the time. It doesn’t make them strong and powerful. Although it was less prominent in this book, it was still a more than I would have liked it.

Another aspect of the writing I didn’t like was the trauma-dump as I felt that it was very repetitive. The trauma itself was valid, I’d never dare say otherwise, but the way the trauma was explained in almost the very same words every single time made the trauma itself feel weak in a way. It was very descriptive and surface level without much depth. It is going to sound very harsh, and I do apologise for it, but the only way I can describe how it felt is they could have been repeating a recipe and that would have had more depth to it. I didn’t feel the emotions that should have come through when North was talking about her experiences.

I definitely appreciated the drama though. As a drama-lover, I was here for all the hurt and ki!dnappings (plural) and even the side-character drama between Mare and Ervo. That made me want to read the next book because now I’m curious how they will deal with all of what happened.

The plot felt a bit dragged and slow on occasions, but I can’t really explain why. It could’ve been the inner-monologues, the descriptions, the pacing or the plot itself, especially as some of the scenes were just very unfitting, and necessary descriptions of the characters' whereabouts were omitted whilst things like clothes were described multiple times. I didn’t find a good balance between descriptions of necessary and unnecessary things. I also didn’t understand why it ended on a cliff-hanger plot-wise instead of just finishing their quest, but at that point I had already given up putting any effort into understanding it because I felt that the overarching plot was one of the weakest points.

Overall, it was an entertaining read with intriguing characters, romance and chemistry, and also some drama-filled scenes, but it was also weak in writing-style, balance of descriptions and plot. So, The Feral Fae’s Human got 3/5 stars from me.

The Feral Fae’s Human, Book 2:
We are barely 7 pages in, and we already had f***k, sh!tload, b@stard etc. used. I am assuming it’s going to be the very same juvenile writing style like in Book 1, which is disappointing. Cussing isn’t needed to show strong characters. I hope I’ll be proven wrong because it cheapens the story and doesn’t add, if anything it takes away from the experience of the story.

Page 196
Whilst I am not a fan of the writing style, I have to admit that the story is intriguing. The characters and their connection pulls me in, and the chemistry is very well executed.

Page 218
Wait what? This competition doesn’t make sense to me. So the female doesn’t even have the chance to choose her own mate? Wasn’t that the point of the previous book? That if there’s more than one bond, the female chooses? Regardless of North’s situation, she still should be able to choose. I don’t get this.

Page 222
Okay, I’m good now. That silly idea made me a little frustrated.

Page 261
Not to be picky, but that was the most random spicy scene. How did we get from running through the forest to get to the Queen to Priel thinking something is going on with North and worrying about her and to the spicy scene. And where were they? We get so many descriptions of clothes, but not where on earth they are. I just feel like important things are not explained, and non-important things are described in length.

Also, I find Priel really entertaining so I don’t have any issues with him. He is funny, cheeky and loveable. But other than his extra possessiveness and feral behaviour, his flirty, smirky side is a lot like Calian from the first book. Hope in the other books we will see some variety.

Page 299
Okay, I take it back. As the story progresses, Priel is becoming more possessive, more feral but in an entertaining not a toxic way. Other than his flirty side he isn’t like Calian.

Page 338
I finished Book 2: The Feral Fae’s Human and I have thoughts. I liked Priel. He was unhinged, feral and possessive but also funny, flirty, playful and attentive. Similar but also different from Calian. He was entertaining as a character. North was grumpy and wore a hard shell around her as a result of her trauma which was understandable, but she was also fierce and full of love to give. She grew on me more than Ari

However, the writing style was still off. Whilst it got better compared to the first, it wasn’t as harsh and full of unnecessary cussing, it was still quite similar. I understand this type of writing style is a way to show the FMC’s character, but they don’t all need to cuss and swear like troopers. I love swearing, it’s expressive, but it also cheapens the writing. There is a time and place for swearing.

Regarding the story and the plot… I am confused why these are considered stand-alone books. Sure, each book focuses on different couples, but there is an overarching plot, so if the books aren’t read in order, readers will be confused. So, I have to argue that these are not stand-alone books. This is a series where each book focuses on a different pairing.

Lastly, it was fun romance-wise. It was entertaining to watch these two idiots not understanding each other as it was more realistic. They might be mates, but they are from two absolutely different worlds. So that was definitely a plus. Pacing-wise, however, it felt a bit dragged out on occasion, but I can’t yet pinpoint why. I need to sit on that one. It could be the inner-monologues or the descriptions… or both.

It started of fine, but sadly it quickly turned into a fast-pasted overly dramatic story with characters I couldn’t relate to at all.

The Feral Fae's Human is only the second book in Lola Glass's Wild Hunt series and already everyone has lost their mind. Seriously, they've snapped under the pressure and it was something to see.

Generally when I read a standalone series the first pairing I read is my favorite but I have to say I'm liking them all equally so far. North's and Priel's story was great if not frustrating. North has the emotional intelligence of a wooden beam. She doesn't know what she wants and when she does get what she wants she doesn't know what to do. There's some anxiety and self-esteem issues and at times I wanted to shake her so badly I could scream. However, after seeing things from her perspective I understand the girl with the fiery temper better and realize that North is a lot softer than she appears to be, I like her now which is good because I didn't in the first book.

Priel is also a hellhound like North and matches her firey temper at times but turns out he's just a romantic softy underneath all the growls and snarling. The Shifter seriously had me smiling and swooning for most of this book. His emotional intelligence is a little bit better than North's but the way he is with North after things get figured out makes my heart happy. Why North was questioning Priel for so long I don't have a clue because they are perfectly matched.

My favorite quote:

“I don’t need a promise; I’ve seen your future. And it belongs to me.”

😍😍😍😍

The plot was out of this world and totally unexpected. More was explained about Verol, how everyone had different beliefs and experiences. However, an event did happen and apparently, Verol isn't only a realm but a conscious being basically a god. I enjoyed getting to know more about hellhounds, their abilities, and their culture. Remember when I said everyone lost their mind? Well, North is at the center because there is something special about her that apparently triggered some of the Seelie fae and their true colors came out. There was betrayal, kidnapping, attacks, and more. Plus a really big plot twist was revealed and that had Seelie and Unseelie as well as the former human women act in all kinds of ways. I can't wait to see how the twist develops in the next book.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Feral Fae's Human. The Wild Hunt series is turning out to be awesome, I can't wait for the next book, I have a feeling that Mare and Ervo are the next couple to get their chance at a HEA.

So, I felt like I liked North more than January in book one. But I still didn't like like her, ya know? She was more or less as exhausting as January was with her indecisive nonsense but in North's case hers felt more justified because of her situation and her previous life on Earth.

I did like Priel. He was all badass and growly. Maybe more clueless than he should've been though in regards to North and their connection. I loved learning about the pack of hellhounds even if I realize now after finishing the book that we never learned about Priel's actual family. I don't remember him mentioning his like Calian did.

Overall this story felt more fleshed out than book one though. In fact, it felt more like a first book in a series than the second.

I can't say I liked North much. I can say I liked her a lot more by the time the 60-70% mark. I was just exhausted by her inner monologue about how she was so sure Priel didn't want her (when she never did one single thing or said anything to him to figure this out, just kept assuming wrongly) and how much she liked to call him a bastard in her thoughts despite how kind he was to her. More so how attracted she was to him and the woe is me complaining because she assumed he wasn't interested. That was the first half of the story more or less and man, I was exhausted. It kinda took all the excitement out of learning about what the marks on North meant, her new powers and with her paintings.

And I know this is a me issue. I do. But I was so not vibing with North being around twenty just the same as January. She claimed she had been on the planet for about a year and half and was barely nineteen when she arrived. It was just...ugh. Add her past and the isolated life she lived on Earth and homegirl felt even younger than January. Especially with her big avoidance with confrontation. It was super off-putting for me when it came to the sexual ish between her and Priel since he was also centuries old like Calian. It gave me a little bit of ick tbh, not a lot but still.

What's with all the babies being taken like...damn. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

I did find it odd that Priel told North about a plant to prevent fertility when she brought up not being ready for kids yet but Calian didn't mention this when him and January got together? That made no sense considering Priel said they stumbled upon the plant and once they realized it made their jizz thinner and less they stopped eating it. So, sure sounds like all the men knew of it and its uses. Which also implies the men knew about sex and procreation which didn't mesh with what January was told when she was schooling all the guys on sex. Or that their mother Earth chick Vervol erased their memories of sex and their former fae women. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Top it off with how Priel spoke as well. As in he was saying fuck and how something made him feel shitty. Even his dirty talk felt off. Calian didn't even speak this way. And it kind of threw me only because it felt very human like, ya know? And for a virgin Fae who "supposedly" wasn't familiar with sex and the easy uses of cursing and the way he used those curse words the way humans did so causally it just felt out of place in comparison to how Celian spoke in book one. Particularly because the way they speak of it I don't believe any of the men truly spent much time with the women to pick up how they spoke before January arrived in book one. Atleast to use such words so easily in the in same ways we do daily. Idk, maybe it was just me reading too much into it.

Oh and does none of the women care to ask about the aging process here? Sure the magic of their planet or relm changes them into Fae themselves but no one asks how long they might live now? Especially after, I dunno, learning how old these dudes really are???? I'm genuinely surprised because I'm still wondering about this and I feel like this would be a huge detail to wonder about if I was transported to magical planet and it's magic changed me into a magical being where I had an inner beast and the ability to shift into said beast....just saying! 😆

So, hm yeah some things left me scratching my head a bit tbh. I just can't ignore details like that either so it was worth noting.

Otherwise this was interesting. Not my favorite but interesting. Hopefully I'll like one of the FMCs more than the first two.

North and Priel ♡

I'm really enjoying this new mate hunt with fae twist series 😍 of course I loved North and Priel both being hellhounds they call to my shifter loving soul ❤ I really loved Polaris and her gift of painting visions. Can't wait to read the other girls stories esp Sunny I love her already.

North is known amongst the other humans taken as the quiet angry one. She hides away in her room in more ways than one. She hides the burn like bruises that cover her body because unlike the other girls markings hers are not pretty. She hides the walls of her room that are covered in paintings from her vivid dreams at night about a certain hellhound fae. But when said Fae whisks her away to his hidden cave because he needs rest she notices that his walls are also covered in beautiful paintings. Priel may have drawn her name and agreed to be her fake mate for her protection but at night when North dreams their bond is anything but fake. When Priel catches sight of one her markings she keeps hidden everything changes. Because her markings mean something more and when Priel also wears a similar one she realizes perhaps they have more in common outside of her dreams than she thought. But these markings also paint a very big target on her back. The Markings and her dreams all have to do with Vevol the land she now calls home sending her messages. Being unmated plus all this new information could spell disaster for North. She fears Priel will never see her the way she does and she may be forced to walk away from the man who slays her dreams. One things for sure though when it comes to shifter males you'll never know how truly possessive they are until you take away what they consider their's.
Will they be able to seal their bond before the gruesome scenes from her visions become reality or will her time in Vevol end up in disaster like her life before.

I loved it!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This series has six books. Each book in this series is steamy connected standalones with humor and follows a different couple with their own happily ever after, and the stories can be read in any order (but recommended to read them in order for best understanding). This is the second standalone book in the Wild Hunt series. This a story about a woman named Polaris (North), who is turned into a fae and the type she becomes is a hellhound, (she is also been branded by Vevol multiple times, (which is rare to even be branded once), makes her more powerful and her worth higher - one of the powers makes her an Oracle), so she needs to keep them covered and a secret), and a male hellhound fae named Lopriel (Priel), who is a member of the Wild Hunt, (he also has been branded by Vevol, but only once, his power is to open portals - he’s the one that opens the portals between earth and their world). She kissed a hot fae guy to start a temporary mate bond between them and now she’s pretending that she hasn’t been seeing visions of their future together for the past year and a half. At first, she didn't realize what she was seeing. Who would assume steamy dreams and brutal nightmares were what the future held? Then her fake mate, who was the subject of said hot dreams, hauled her off to his house and told her that she belonged to him. That abduction just about set off the horrific future that she’s seen coming. Now she has to figure out a way to stop this war before it happens, or she’ll have much bigger problems than her temporary mate's possessive declaration that she’s his. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. I highly recommend to everyone.

𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑠:
First things first, the girl’s companionship was utterly heartwarming and made me love them infinitely, like I WANNA BE PART OF THAT GROUP!!! I was so thoroughly surprised by the main FL, often when two characters have loud personalities or a tendency to want to be at each others neck constantly it gets tiring and irritating but this???? I love this dynamic, Priel and North were consistent in their love language and also knew when to tone it down and amp it up which I was such a fan of.

𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒:
Of course, there was spice between these two, although I think the word ‘fire’ is better suited for them😮‍💨 I had to pause after some of the dialogue between them because I would have screamed out of adoration for these 2 if I didn’t. The level of TRUST they had for each other? Ugh it was heartwarming, especially when the codependency was mixed with the tension, it was the perfect push and pull. They were lighthearted when they needed to be and passionate when they needed to be, this made the relationship development SO well paced and absolutely did not drag or bore AT ALL. Which is honestly more refreshing than I can say🫶

𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑡:
Snaking the world building process throughout the books is a great idea and it’s made me super excited to see how much things will develop in the next books, because currently I’m getting whiplash at how the plots developing, so much happened in just that one book but it was laid out so it wasn’t confusing or overwhelming and I’m highly anticipating the next book in the series!!!

I did not like this book as much as the first book in the series.

I was annoyed by the miscommunication trope and North really frustrated me in this one because once they did get past the miscommunication, North wanted to wait to know Priel better and find a fertility blocking plant before sealing their mating bond. Which I would get if you hadn't been pining for the man for over year and having visions of your future with him. Not to mention, they had no idea what sex even was until whenever January got there in the first book, so how do you even know a fertility plant exists in their world?? To me, it seemed like this was present just to add conflict given the events that happened because she was still unmated.

Spoiler alert: It wasn't until after she was kidnapped, that she decided to put more emphasis on sealing the mating bond to prevent that from happening again. However, she STILL drags her feet about it to find said fertility plant and then goes ahead and seals the bond without the plant anyway. Then after they have sex and seal the bond, she says "We need to find that plant, I should have thought things through more."

..............

I just got very frustrated by that whole sequence of events personally. Cause all the back and forth was very pointless. And then to say that you should of thought things through more??? I was so done.

However, I digress. That took up much of the book and colored my overall outlook on it. I did like Lopriel as a character. He was goofy, fun, possessive, and KNEW WHAT HE WANTED.

Plot wise, it pretty much picks up right where we left off in the first book, but takes a little bit of a different direction given North's visions. I'm curious to see where it goes from here.

North and Priel’s story didn’t disappoint! 🤌🏼 I thought for sure North would be a hard heroine to connect with but I should’ve known better- Lola Glass writes pure golden fun 💛 or in this case fae fire shifter smutty goodness 🔥🔥

We met North in the last book. She always had a grimace on and sass at the ready 😬 but as we learn more of her backstory the crankiness makes sense 👀 she’s a mafia princess/prisoner. Her scars came from escaping a would-be hit in the form of her fiancé 😅 she’s definitely the intense one in the series. But it fits Priel perfectly 👏🏼

I will say that the one piece that I’d like to see this author flesh out more are her heroes’ backstories. I liked Priel a LOT. Love a wildly possessive man 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️But he was absolutely surface level 😅 we get bits and pieces but he could’ve been so much more. I think if the books were longer there’d be more space for Priel’s POV, history and obsession with North 🥰

What I liked:
Romantasy 🍄
Fae shifters 🔥
Kind of dual PoV (We did get a bit of Priel’s POV this time but not much)
Strong AF heroine 💪🏼
Dual virgin hero + heroine
OTT JP hero 😈
Touch her and die
Oracle heroine 👏🏼
The scene where Priel realizes that North has been painting them together since they first met 😭and how they sit on either side of a door to talk because North feels overwhelmed
The spice is 🤌🏼 especially since there are also dreams since North is an oracle 👀

What I didn’t like:
Not enough backstory or POV for Priel to feel completely well rounded ☹️
I wish North would’ve expressed more of whyyyyy she didn’t think Priel was interested in her.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down.
North came across as being angry with a firery nature in the first book and this one starts where the other finished, with Priel taking off with her over his shoulder “Sorry love. Got to get some rest.” I love the hint of humor in their relationship.
They are both hellhounds with a love for painting their feelings, though she’s been keeping to her room, painting her dreams of fire and death (with hidden pictures of Priel who she also dreams about, a lot, but won’t admit it).
There’s some lovely world building as the reader learns a lot about the traditions and different beliefs of this land while North chats with Priel’s pack of hellhounds. She also learns a lot about herself and the powers she’s been given by Vevol.
There are some great twists and a lot of possessive fae in this book, with the Wild Hunt and Seelies beginning to work with the Unseelies, though I’m not so sure about the women who have gone to live with the Unseelies. I can’t wait for the next in this series to see how Ervo and Mare’s relationship grows, along with Sunny and Dot’s relationships with their fae mates (I love how the fae men suddenly drop their full name, confirming their desire for the ladies).

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Okay

I liked the world building, relationship faithfulness, and the idea that the woman’s choice matters before she consents to a relationship. Plus 3 stars.

After she consents to a relationship, her consent stops mattering and the man introduces coercive sex to manipulate her and that’s abusive. He also introduces threats and pain during sex without asking for her consent and that’s abuse and rape.
Minus 2 stars.

The story is ok. I kept having to skim over the abuse and unacknowledged rape scenarios, so that made reading it a lot less fun. However, it’s typical for romance books to confuse pain and fear with “spice,” and to then pretend they’ve offered something especially unique when they mostly copy each other. It’s like conflating a ghost chili pepper with cinnamon when making cinnamon rolls. They need to worry less about adding bitterness, anger, and pain in the effort to be unique and just make the romance dessert they advertise that they’re making. Love is sweet. Sugar is sweet. Romance is a dessert, not an endurance contest to see who can eat the most ghost chili peppers. I would be much happier if the author would stop adding threats, physical pain, and lack of consent into the romantic relationship because those ingredients detract from the appeal of the story.

Great read.

I have always gone this author 5 stars, her pace is quick and her details just perfect so you get to world build in your imagination as you read. Her writing allows you to make the story personal and moving. But...there were some areas in this one where the writing took an odd turn. I get the need to fill in the blanks but she seemed to loose a little focus. That being said, you get another kick ass female lead who isn't afraid to call it like it is or flex her control. The males continue to remain strong and bold and the best version of overprotective masculinity. 🔥❤️ After ready 6 of her books I can't even beleive how her sex scenes continue to be original. I mean there is not much to work with right...Sex is Sex but the is always a twist or a change from her other couples and I love that. Her steamy scenes are also perfectly blended, soft or hard never overcomplicared, and never long winded. They are just beautifully written throught the relationship. This book is just very raw and honest and reflects the best and worst of a girls personality without apology and I loved it.

It is nice to find an author like Lola who doesn't make perfect characters you can't relate to and doesn't try so hard with world-building. This book was great. The lead female character had issues, but she just needed the right person in her life to care for and love her. The male lead was firm but gentle, it was tough to put down, and I tried to squeeze in another chapter every chance I got because I was deep. Towards the end, you can see the author leading to the stories of the other characters, which some authors don't do. They leave you hanging? Wondering what happened to the other characters, and maybe five books or years from now, another book will come out about one set of the characters, but then you always wonder what happened to the others. I genuinely like that she's already continuing with the other characters in this book into their book so that I can follow their story. I just found Lola recently, but I will follow her from here on out.

Gah, it is killing me that I can't read all of the stories one after the other because I love these so much. Still I will take them anyway I can. There is also something to say about the fact that these guys are complete lunatics for their mates and I also have a soft spot the crazy ones. Priel, love him, has held himself back since the start despite knowing full well that the only one he wants is North. Which while it makes him honourable has not really done him any favours since it has made his mate think that he's not really interested in her. North has not had a traditional upbringing which has rather put her at a disadvantgae with the other girls and has rather skewed her own view of herself. She doesn't much like herself so how can the others or one of the Wild Hunt males for that matter. Doesn't help that she's dreaming about Priel either.
The plot twists, the undercurrents, the world-building and the underlying story are wonderful. Bring on the next one... please??!!

I can always count on Lola Glass to deliver a page turning romantasy full of Fae, shapeshifters and plenty of spice.

As much as I enjoyed the first Wild Hunt book, the second was even better! I knew I was going to love Priel and North from their introductions in the first book, but honestly I had no idea how much. Their shifting dynamics, the tension from the shifter males, Priel's perfect growly, dominant, feral, deliciously tattooed self. Though honestly North was the real show stopper. I adored her personality and strength. The way she approaches the situation may have a few stumbles, okay more like full on face plants, but honestly where would the story be if she was perfect? I've enjoyed the consistency of all of Lola's work, I know exactly what I'm going to get and I am never disappointed.

This book was so good. Sometimes you read the next book in the series and it’s like the author used the exact same story from before with a few changes. Not this book, the author went above and beyond by adding a ton of new characters and expanding the world so there are endless possibilities for future installments to the series!!! Love it. The romance in this book was great because it wasn’t insta love like we read about so often. The characters really had to work at making things happen as they should and to fall in love the right way, and not to allow their circumstances force them into something they didn’t like or feel right about. Great job Lola Glass!! I can’t wait for the next book with even more exciting twists and turns to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Mrs. Lola has done it again folks. This is the second book of The Wild Hunt Series and it is an absolute must read. It picks up directly where the first left off( which I really personally love). You get to know more about both North and Priel but also about the culture, different beliefs and traditions of the fae-shifters. In this book you have a rollercoaster of emotions. You've got everything from swoon worthy scenes, betrayals, kidnappings, anxiety to possessive men.It was really well written and had a nice flow to the story line. I didn't find any grammar mistakes. I highly recommend this book for any fae-shifter lover who loves a good plot twist. I also received this free copy of this book for a voluntary honest review.

North and Priel are running from the mass of males and are attempting to “Fake mate” to keep her safe but, North is hiding a secret and both need to be honest in order to discover the truth about each other.
This is not a normal Lola book, In fact the subject matter and subtext are quite dark. It does not detract from the story and it is still an enjoyable book. The leads are feisty and spicy and mesh well and it describes lush landscapes and homey locations.
I feel that there is a whole more story to tell, especially with spin-off series with their uptight fae brethren.
I think there is a lot more to comes come from this series.

The Fae have no women, so once a year a woman who makes a wish, is taken from Earth to here where they are stuck. Each of the Fae males can transform into different beasts, from dragons, to hellhounds, etc. the Seelie Fae are led by the Wild Hunt. They were the guys that protected the women who were changing too. The men challenge each other for the right to woo the women and take them as mates. They have five years before they must go to the Unseelie Fae.

North paints her dreams, the majority of which are nightmares. Priel, the hellhound of the Wild Hunt and alpha of his pack. North is also the most prickly and cranky of the women. The Goddess Vevol plays a big part in this book. It was very interesting learning about her. North meets the rest of the hellhounds and misunderstandings occur.

The Fae don’t give out their full names as it has Power. Priel and North’s true names are awesome. I really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the next one! This whole series is different and fun.

Wow, Lola Glass delivers in this sequel and it was a good read. North and Priel, what a couple! And they both had quite the journey figuring out where they stood and becoming mates. I did feel the story dragging just a bit and there were a few scenarios that could have been edited out. I understood what happened with Clevv needed to happen as it was the catalyst for what occurred with the other human women, however Clevv felt mostly like a filler to the Feral Fae’s Human.

The Feral Fae’s Human was well written and was quite the slow burn with some serious heat, woah! Definitely recommend to those who enjoy Fae stories and I look forward to the next one in the series!

Hooked...

This is the second book I've read in this related series. After reading The Savage Fae's Mate I ran to purchase this book and between my busy life moments read it in two days. Being able to delve into the lives of each of these ladies' lives has been a treat and one I'm not ready to release yet. A great, quick read. This book like the previous one gets into the thick of it quickly but efficiently. I have grown to love the faces of The Wild Hunt and appreciate their protection and passiveness of our little human females turned Fae's and heroines. Now I must cut this review short to go delve into book 3.

I did not particularly like book 1 of this series. I went back and forth about whether or not I should give this one a go. I usually like Glass’ work so was disappointed in the first book of the Wild Hunt series. I’m glad I decided to try this one. MUCH better flow of the story. MUCH more development of the characters. MUCH more interesting plot. I am actually excited about continuing the series now. Definitely recommend reading book 1 first, though, or you will be lost. Enjoy!!.

I love Lola Glass, I have read almost ALL of her works, so to be apart of her ARC team is amazing! The Wild Hunt Series focuses on human women that are taken to Vevol where they are expected to mate with the Fae of this world. Feral Fae's Human, is book two in this character series, where we get to explore the connection between North & Priel who are both hellhounds. While exploring their relationship, the storyline of unease between the Seelie & Unseelie continues from Calian & January's story. I loved this book and I am hoping we get Dot's story next!

Love this series

I love this series with the recurring characters. If a series can capture your attention in this first that you can’t wait to read what happens next, you know it’s going to be good from first book to last. At some point I’m always sad when it ends, as I want to go on and on. But I guess that would be on the author, as I would expect they have a lot of stories in their head they just have to write about as well. Lola Glass is a wonderfully good writer and I look forward to reading more of stories! Thank you Lola!
