(audiobook) I admit I didn’t buy the premise. The second chance trope. I can totally see people falling for each other again, but to still have feelings after fifteen years, several relationships and a lifetime apart? Nope.
Okay, maybe I bought it a little, because Thatcher’s teenage love story with Peppy is related to a period of his life that left deep marks. So I can understand how he would have held onto it, like a reminder that he didn’t always feel that way. And Thatcher is the only one still having feelings. Peppy had moved on, and without her ex-husband cheating on her, she probably never would have seen Thatcher again. She actually needs to be seduced before they get back together.
This book was more about a triangle than a couple. Not a love triangle. But Summer, Peppy’s daughter, is as much a part of the story as the main couple. Her parent’s divorce deeply affected her, so she has a difficult relationship with her mother, while losing herself in books provided by Thatcher–who kind of become her friend. She’s the proof that Peppy wasn’t pining over Thatcher all those years, and a source of conflict between Peppy and her ex-husband. And she isn’t just a mean to an end for Thatcher–he really wants to help the little girl, sometimes arguing with her mother. Through Summer, we also learn more about the main characters, and she becomes later a great plot device. Well done.
Thatcher was a bit more developped as a character than Peppy–who’s a mother, an ex-wife, and the one in her family looking for recognition, that’s pretty much it. But at the same time, he became almost too much: ex-military, boxer, bookstore owner, landlord, even calendar model; and each side is used at some point in the story. That also means that the story is sometimes unpredictable, as you never know which Thatcher will be on the page.
I loved that they helped each other overcoming their problems. Thatcher smooths Peppy’s relationship with her daughter, and Peppy supports Thatcher later in the book.
The letters were a nice, though gut wrenching, addition. They never give away the whole story of what Thatcher went through as a soldier–that part is revealed in a conversation with Peppy–but they keep the mystery alive.
The narration wasn’t bad at all. I wouldn’t have figured a voice that deep for Thatcher, but the male narrator was great with Thatcher’s positive attitude as well as his darker moments. As for the female narrator, I wasn’t a fan of her accent. She did express Peppy’s range of emotions beautifully though.

Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is book 3 in the Blue Ridge book club series by Jill Brashear. The book follows Pressly, who returns to her small home town after a failed marriage as she needs a fresh start. She then finds out that her neighbour turns out to be her first love, Thatcher and things start to get complicated. Thatcher has only gotten better with age, and as Pressly gets over her divorce, she can't help but fall for Thatcher. Jill has done it again with another well written romance novel with a great story line and a brilliant mix of characters, whose chemistry was off the charts. I highly recommend Jill's books and I can't wait to read more by her. 💖I received a ARC E book copy of the book in exchange for a honest review. 💖Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is released on amazon on the 4th May 2023.
Ok, y'all. After this review, we don't have any more Blue Ridge Book Club books out yet to read 😭 I definitely feel like you need to read Blue Collar Crush before picking up this book. And if you want a peek at some characters you love from Win, Lose, or Love, read that one first too (it's been my highest rated Jill Brashear book so far).
We don't fully learn why Thatcher stood Pressly up all those years ago until well into the book. And when we did, my heart broke for him. And yet despite all he's gone through, including the PTSD, he is still so positive. I did miss the book reviews from this book in the series, but the letters he wrote Pressly while in the military play a huge role in this book, so it makes sense to replace the reviews with those letters.
One thing I love about Thatcher is his relationship with Summer. And how he encourages her to be herself and even helps Pressly see what Summer has been trying to tell her. And I'm so glad that Pressly does not fall for the BS her ex feeds her throughout the book. I was so worried that would be the big incident her and Thatcher had to overcome.
One thing I've loved about this series overall is that these are true adult relationships. There's stuff from their past they have to deal with, they communicate, they have a fight and still love one another. It's just really refreshing to read such good romance books without miscommunication really being the main factor the couple has to deal with.
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is a wonderful second chance romance and I cannot wait to see who the main character of the next book is going to be (or when it comes out)! This whole series is available on Kindle Unlimited, so go download it now!
This one is noted as 3rd in the series but it stood alone perfectly with no prior exposure to the series.
Pressly is a divorced single mom who has moved back to her home town to be closer to family and have the job she really wants. Her pre-teen daughter is not thrilled at times with this and only seems to find solace in the YA section of the local bookstore.
Thatcher is the owner of that bookstore, inherited from his uncle along with the man's house. Thatcher also has a teen summer fling history with Pressly that didn't end the way either of them wanted it to when Thatcher didn't show up for their Thanksgiving rendezvous.
Now they're neighbors and no matter how much she wants to avoid him, Pressly can't help but find herself around him. And Thatcher is loving his second chance with Pressly even though he's haunted by his past, the reasons he didn't meet up with her all those years ago and the collection of letters he sent her via his Uncle that were never delivered.
The audiobook for this was performed by Amanda Stribling and Aiden Snow. Both were perfectly matched to their characters. Amanda was so torn up at times with the mom-fear and mom-guilt that my heart broke for her. Aiden was deep and smooth and perfectly rich to listen to as Thatcher tries to work his way back into Pressly's good graces (and her pants). But the tortured past is where his performance gutted me. His emotional pain and guilt was so tangible. It was a great performance.
I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.
What stood out: Everything, especially they way Peppy and Thatcher help each other out in ways they don’t quite realize immediately. Also the appearances of other characters from various books of Jill’s was amazing! Jill is without a doubt an insta-buy author for me! She always manages to write the perfect amount of emotion, spicy and humor blended seamless into one great story! I was so excited Thatcher was getting his own book and it is perfection. Peppy or should I say Pressly returns to Mossy Oak after divorcing her husband and is finding herself and figuring things out for herself and her daughter. Once she runs into Thatcher it’s clear they have history and that they have undeniable chemistry I loved the letters from Thatcher being included and it definitely added to the emotion. I could definitely continue to rave about this book but you should just go check it out for yourself!
(Audio Review) When newly divorced Pressly returns to her small hometown after a failed marriage, she is expecting a fresh start after buying her dream home. What she isn’t expecting is to run into her old flame/first love, Thatcher, her daughter, Summer, to blame her for all their problems, and her new home to be broken down.
As mentioned, once Pressly returns to her her hometown, she is finding it hard to adjust to her new reality. Her daughter Summer, blames her for uprooting them from their previous life and only finds comfort in the local book store which is owned by Pressly’s previous love, Thatcher. Thatcher also happens to be their new neighbour. Thatcher and Pressly have a history that did not end well. Being neighbours means Pressly finds it very hard to avoid Thatcher, and soon, they have to confront their past and build a new future.
What I enjoyed most about this book was how their past was explored. Thatcher carries a lot of guilt based on how he left things with Pressly in the past and the book explored these issues. It was also interesting to see how his PTSD was dealt with and explored. I also found Pressly’s co-parenting situation with her ex interested to read. I loved how she stood her ground and didn’t fall for his BS.
I also really enjoyed Thatcher’s relationship with Summer. He was able to provide encouragement to her to be her authentic and true self.
This was a cute, charming, humorous, second chance romance with some steam thrown in. Highly enjoyable!
The audiobook for this was narrated by Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling. I loved both narrators portrayal of their respective characters. They helped bring the story and characters to life. It was truly an excellent performance. Highly recommend.
Book three in the Blue Ridge book club series, Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is Pressly's story. She's just returned to her hometown for a fresh start after her marriage fell apart. She also is in for quite a shock when she realizes her new neighbor is Thatcher, her first true love. Even though they are both dealing with a lot, they really are sweet together and try hard to be mindful of each other. This book was sweet with a great storyline and characters. I really enjoyed all that it had to offer.
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is book three in the Blue Ridge Book Club series and is the second chance, single parent, small town romance of Thatcher and Pressly. Pressly, a divorced single mum has moved back to her hometown to be close to family and for her job. Pressly is hoping for a fresh start for herself and her daughter Summer, however, when she moves into her dream home, she comes face to face with her first love Thatcher who turns out to not only be her new neighbour but also the owner of the local bookstore where Summer has sought solace after finding the adjustment to their new life tough. Summer is at her happiest in the YA section of the bookstore, finding comfort in the fictional worlds between the pages and her friendship with Thatcher who sees a young girl struggling. Will Pressly be able to let go of the past and give Thatcher a second chance? Thatcher inherited the bookstore and a house from his uncle and when a troubled young girl begins frequenting the YA section of the bookstore, he befriends her, seeing so much of his younger self in her. So, imagine his surprise when he finds out she is the daughter of his first love Pressly and his new neighbour. Thatcher loves that he gets to make amends for letting Pressly down all those years ago, he explains to her his past which has haunted him all these years and the regret and sorrow he has felt for hurting Pressly and placing his trust in his uncle to post letters for him which he now knows where never delivered. Will Thatcher overcome his past and gain back the trust of the only woman he has truly loved? The phenomenally talented Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling bring this audiobook to life and boy they make one hell of a dream team. Aiden’s beautifully rich, deep, smooth tone was perfect to showcase the lovelorn bookstore owner who is trying his best to win back the only woman who has ever had his heart. The real raw emotion he poured into his performance was heart wrenchingly superlative. Amanda’s portrayal of Pressly was fantastic. Amanda managed to convey the mum guilt and fear while also expressing her strength, vulnerability, and passion to absolute perfection. I loved this audiobook. Jill Brashear is a super talented author who never fails to hook me in from the beginning and have me captivated until the very last word. If you are a fan of second chance, single parent, next door neighbour, small town romances with a strong, kind, and caring hero who will stop at nothing to get his girl and win her pre-teen daughter over and a formidable heroine whose resilience, class, and southern charm shine bright throughout then this is the book for you.
I do recommend reading "Blue Collar Crush" first for the back story of Thatcher and Pressly.
Thatcher Hayes and Pressly "Peppy" Vinroot met in the summer before he started college and at the beginning of her senior year of high school. He's from a family of modest means. Hers is one of the founding families of the town and very wealthy. They fell in love, and no one, not even her family, could stop her from getting what she wanted. She wanted Thatcher, and she got him. They made plans to meet at Thanksgiving, but he never showed up. She never heard from him again...
Now Thatcher has moved to Mossy Oak after inheriting his uncle's Hyperbole’s Bookstore there. After four years of hard work, the store is becoming profitable. The store is known for its over-the-top book displays. He also started a book club, of which he's the only male member. He keeps saying he needs to add another male to the club, but that never seems to happen.
After a failed marriage, Pressly and her daughter, Summer, have moved from Atlanta to Mossy Oak. She's taken over the management of her family's resort after a huge scandal there. She's happy to be back in Mossy Oak, where she always felt at home.
Summer isn't happy. She misses her old way of life and her father. She seems to hate her mother and butts heads with her as often as possible. Summer's only pleasures seem to be her rescue dog, Aslan, reading, her friendship with Mr. T (Thatcher), and now Champion's Corner at the local gym.
Pressly has always been drawn to a particular home in the town and is thrilled when she sees it's finally on the market. She just didn't realize the house next door now belongs to Thatcher.
The attraction is still strong. Thatcher had written letters to Pressly explaining his absence at Thanksgiving. He had mailed them to his uncle to pass on to her. He recently discovered his uncle had kept them.
Now their lives seem to be one crisis after another. Can he finally forgive himself for the guilt of his past? Can she have the kind of marriage she's always wanted? Or will it be up to Summer to show them what they can have together?
I received a free copy of this book from the author via Booksprout. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Brashear is a new-to-me author and, on the whole, my first foray into her work was an enjoyable experience. Second-chance romance is among my favorite tropes, and she does a fine job playing in that particular sand box with a story of two mostly likable MCs that was well-told. Thatcher was a unique amalgamation of traits - healing veteran, bookstore owner, amateur boxer - and that all could have been a bit much, with the potential for one of those balls to drop and go undeveloped. However, I was pleasantly surprised when that wasn’t the case. His personality played well against each and all provided compelling story beats. Pressly was perhaps slightly less interesting by comparison - single mom, part of her family business, troubled relationship with a cheating ex - which is a combo that has been done elsewhere in more dynamic ways; however, her chemistry with Thatcher and relationship with her daughter were well crafted and she was still a character I was glad to see get her HEA. Angst here was generally minimal, which I always appreciate, but there was still enough plot to keep things moving. There are also some secondary characters that piqued my interest and I look forward to exploring the rest of the series to see if/how their stories play out.
The audiobook performances were also mostly well done. I always enjoy Aiden Snow; he’s a growly favorite and did some nice accent work in this one. He also shifted very deftly between the initially disparate elements of Thatcher’s character. I was less impressed by Amanda Stribling, though she did well enough. I have heard her work a few times now, and while she has some solid character moments with Pressly, her vocal register is unappealing to my ears at times. Still, in the grand scheme, I mostly enjoyed the audio.
Overall, this was a pleasant reading experience and one I recommend, especially if you like a second-chance romance!
I received an ALC copy of the audiobook via Home Cooked Books and read via KU. All opinions are my own.
“This wasn’t just about sex or scratchin’ an itch. There was something special between us, there always had been.”
Welp, Jill Brashear has once again turned my heart into a puddle of swoon. Recently divorced single mom, Pressly has moved back to her hometown. Discharged after a traumatic deployment, Thatcher Hayes has built a new life for himself as a boxer and bookstore owner. I loved Thatcher’s caregiver, crunchy cinnamon roll character. His instant rapport with Pressly’s daughter, Summer melted my heart. Pressly’s brother, Beckett is a loveable smartass and I can’t wait to go back and listen to his HEA in book one. Jill has a lovely style of blending humor, angst, and spicy romance in her love stories. Tragedy kept Pressly and Thatcher apart, but fate brought them together when their hearts were ready. Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes was heartfelt and gutting. Jill Brashear’s Blue Ridge Book Club is a wonderful series with endearing, complex characters and swoon-worthy charm.
Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling are a terrific pair in the booth! Amanda Stribling’s sweet Southern drawl and storytelling style always make me smile. Her portrayal of Pressly, the down on her luck mama bear, was wonderful. All of her character voices are fab. Aiiiiden Snow! Oof, I do love his low, growly timbre. His performance of the hunky, broody, charismatic bookshop owner, Thatcher was delicious! The way he brought Thatcher’s vulnerability off the page was touching. This is a narrator team I would love to hear more of.
Thatcher and Pressly (Peppy) were high school sweethearts and first loves. When Thatcher left town suddenly, it broke Pressly's heart. Now years later she has returned to her small town, divorced with a young daughter. She was hoping to avoid seeing Thatcher, but he is even more irresistibly handsome and her neighbor. Thatcher has never forgotten Pressly, and is excited to reconnect with her. He is afraid she won't understand what happened to him years ago, but will do whatever he can to win her trust, and her heart. Thatcher is so sweet, caring, and so swoony with Pressly and her daughter! My heart broke for him and the misunderstanding neither of them realized. I really loved how strong and determined Pressly was, despite all the struggles that came with starting a new life, a new job, and a new home, along with a daughter who isn't happy with all the changes. I really liked Thatcher and Pressly together, as they learned to trust and support each other, and their chemistry was off the charts! I also loved how they were building a sweet family together. This was a moving and passionate story of forgiveness, family, and love. Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling's narration was breathtaking as they brought these flawed characters and their story to life. They portrayed their raw emotions with a perfect balance of strength, passion, and vulnerability. I really enjoyed this moving, heartwarming, funny and steamy second chance romance.
This is book 3 in Brashear's Blue Ridge Book Club series and an absolute delight to read / listen. Can be a standalone so no worries if you haven't read or listened to the previous books in this series. Our main characters are Thatcher (of course) and Pressly. These two have a past and now that Pressly is back in town that past is front and center and haunting them both since time has not waned in their feelings for each other. I love how these two keep connecting, which happens in small towns, and I love how their connection blossoms. Both have issues with things that happened to them in their separation that have made them the people that they are but the core of their kindness and goodness is still and always there. Well written with a smooth and easy to follow storyline that will break your heart and mend it too, I fell in love with this book, these characters and this series. I hope there are many more books to come. Dual narration was perfection - both narrators and their vocals brought to life these main characters. Great southern accent too and Thatcher's deep, gravelly voice is swoony and Pressly's sweet smooth southern was sweet at can be!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read.
This is my review for the audiobook. Narrators: Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling
I received an ARC for this audiobook for my fair opinion of this audiobook. I loved this 2nd chance small town romance. Thatcher Hayes is living in a small town of Massio County, ( I hope this is the correct spelling), Anyways, he inherited a book store from his late Uncle and to help promote it he stood for The Men of Massio County and got the attention going back to this bookstore. But, a blast of the past has moved back. The one woman that got away Peppy Vinroute ( is this correct speling too. LOL)h Anyways, Thatcher sees Peppy around town and especially in his bookstore. He is hesitant to talk to her because of their past. A brief summer romance that turn bad. How can one go up to someone and ask for forgiveness or better yet start a new friendship?
Peppy and her her dauger Summer moved back to her childhood home town to start a new. newly divorce and finding out the home she bought is a money pit. The one person she doesn't want to talk to is Thatcher. All manly and filled out nicely and just so happens to be her neighbor. Good time. Nosey town, quick banter, steamy flirting. Great job with the voice actors who brought the characters to life! Great job with the audiobook and selection of narrators!
🎧Audio Review🎧 Narrated by Amanda Stribling and Aiden Snow ⭐️4.5 Oh Lord, Thatcher… this quiet reserved man with a hidden side who packs a wallop stole my heart. I’ve been waiting for Thatcher’s story since I first started this series. This is book 3 of the Blue Ridge Book Club by Jill Brashear. And I’m so in love with this book series and reading about Thatcher in the first two novels was a great teaser for book 3.
Pressly and Thatcher’s “first Love” when they were younger is a great foundation for their reunion later, when this book begins. Their history gradually unravels and we find out what really broke them up. I also loved catching up with the other Book Club members from the previous books.
Amanda Stribling and Aiden Snow narrate and are perfectly paired here. Amanda is a new narrator for me and I loved her slight southern accent. She really captured Pressly’s personality, A single mom, vulnerable, trying to find her place after moving back home to start over. She also does a really good male voice. And Aiden Snow’s narration embodies Thatcher’s multi layers from broody to sweet perfectly.
Another stellar book by Jill Brashear and I can’t wait for book 4
I love this book! I’m always a sucker for a good First Love, Second Chance romance, and this one was done well. Thatcher goes on my list of Ultimate Book Boyfriends right now. He’s not only sexy, but he owns a BOOKSTORE. And he’s happy to do house repairs and provide extremely hot sex, including visits to Australia (also known as The Land Down Under). Alexa, add to cart! The letters that he wrote Pressly all those years ago just broke my heart, but the beauty of their Second Chance relationship was incredible. Plus, Pressly’s nine year-old daughter is a delight. Added to the Second Chance are side plots involving Pressly’s problems with her worthless ex and a high-stakes local boxing match for Thatcher. Triggers include sex, in-gym violence, and stories of wartime violence which involves violent youths. Tropes include Adorable Moppet, Mr. February, Bookstore-Bakery-or-Inn, First Love, Second Chance, Small Town, This Old House, Ebil Ex, and You Don’t Talk About Fight Club. And when I saw that that drool-worthy cover photo was by Wandering Aguiar, I totally squeed myself.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes Blue Ridge Club #3 By Jill Brashear Narrated by Aiden Snow & Amanda Stribling
There is no resisting Thatcher Hayes. This is me talking, not the character in the book. What a romantic man. I loved him! But lets get down to the story. Thatcher and Peppy/Pressly were childhood sweethearts, but things never go as planned. Now years later, they are both back in their hometown, Peppy with her nine year old daughter, and the chemistry is still there. This second chance romance has a bit of everything. There is a hurt that is hard to overcome. There is a miscommunication that is gigantic. There is a nine year old girl that is smart and witty. And there is an undying love that is beyond compare. From the start, this book caught my attention, and once it all began to unravel, I was fascinated. Sincerely Thatcher Hayes is all that and more. It's the perfect beach read, so get ready to take it with you!
Narrated by Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling, it's impossible not to love the performance. Snow brings his baritone, warm tones and has the best way of making his voice sound like a hug. Thatcher is such a good character, and Snow gave that loving feel. Stribling always gives her all to her characters and she finds the essence of Peppy/Pressly and lets us feel her pain, her hesitancy and her growing love. It's a fabulous listen.
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes by Jill Brashear is book three in the Blue Ridge Book Club series. This small-town, second chance story is swoony and sweet, and will have you in your feels. The story of Pressley (Peppy) a single mom who returns home after her divorce and Thatcher, a gorgeous and broody bookstore owner who reads romance. Separated because of a misunderstanding, they get their second chance when Pressley buys the home of her dreams only to realize Thatcher lives next door. Thatcher has made multiple attempts at small talk but he either freezes up and loses brain function, or Pressley avoids him, even while in his bookstore. I loved how these characters grew. Thatcher was open and respectful of Pressley. He was kind and treated Pressley’s daughter, Summer like his own without overstepping boundaries.
Narration by Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling was fantastic. Amanda displayed Pressley’s vulnerability and her strength. Aiden brought that broody and dominant demeanor to the bedroom, and was a swoony cinnamon roll on the outside.
This is the first book I read by Jill Brashear and I really enjoyed it, I’ll be adding the rest of the series to my TBR and I’ll be checking out her other books.
Sincerely Thatcher Hayes is a charming second chance romance with a little bit of steam and humor in the mix.
Pressly is a strong woman that has just moved back to her hometown with her daughter, after a divorce that left her wanting a new start, and that has brought her back to her first love, even if that wasn’t what she was expecting. And Thatcher is equally strong but carries guilt and demons that weigh him down, but when Pressly walks back into his life it makes him realize that sometimes you need someone at your side to overcome those challenges. They can’t deny their chemistry and the love they had and still have for each other even when obstacles get in their way.
If you are looking for a fast paced and enjoyable second chance romance with quirky, sexy, adorable and strong characters you’ll enjoy this book!
Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher… Broody, mysterious, delicious. This book club is the perfect cauldron for swoony, smexy men and the ladies that steal their hearts. Pressly comes from privilege but her life was never privileged. Despite Thatcher’s disappointment when they were young she moved on with her life but her marriage wasn’t a bed of roses. With a teenager and a whole life to figure out, Thatcher is not a priority but he makes her his and that’s the best most romantic thing in romanceland, to me. Amanda Stribling’s voice and tone is perfect for Pressly: strong but sweet, a young woman hurt by her first love, a woman hurt by the one who promised to love her and cherish her until the end but ultimately a mother that is doing everything well but that never feels enough. Aiden Snow as Thatcher was perfectly suited. Thatcher had a je ne says quoi that was Aiden delivered brilliantly.
Such a fun cute read! Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is the perfect book for you if you love a happily ever after!
Pressly returns to her home town following her divorce hoping for a fresh start for her and her daughter Summer. Thatcher, her first love whom she’s been doing her best to avoid, owns the local bookstore. Summer happens to be a book worm and adores Mr. T (Thatcher).
To make things more complicated, Pressly finds out that her new neighbor is Thatcher. As the two spend more time together she finds herself falling in love, or maybe she never stopped loving him.
Pressly and Thatcher are so good together and I adore Summer. They make the cutest little family. Add in a couple of dogs, some letters that were written but not received, a man who loves to read and some spice and you’ve got the perfect story!
I really enjoyed Thatcher and Pressly's story! It was so heartfelt and sweet. Thatcher was the star though. He was amazing and everything you could want in a guy. He was incredible with Summer and I loved how he was with the dogs. I loved the letters that he wrote Pressly. Getting to know him on a deeper level especially when he was going through so much. It was a nice touch. Pressly struggled with the hand life had dealt her and at first she made me a little angry with how she was with Summer. I was happy to see her realize her mistakes and correct them. She had a lot of growth throughout the story and ended up being a fun character. This book had my attention from start to finish and I really loved the story. All the characters were fantastic and the writing was very well done. I would definitely recommend it!
I’ve been waiting for Thatcher’s book since I read the first in the Blue Ridge Series. Thatcher and Pressly get a second chance at love in this latest story. Pressly has returned to her hometown as a divorced, single mom trying to make the best life she can for her daughter Summer, who is not at all happy about all the recent changes in her life. Despite her efforts to avoid Thatcher due to having her heart broken by him as a teenager, she constantly is in his orbit and their chemistry is still a live wire. Pressly and Thatcher discover years of misunderstandings, assumptions and regrets and work to move past the hurt and rediscover each other. This couple sizzles whenever they are together! A story not to miss!
I received an advance copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
Have you ever picked up a book or a series that just captivated you from the very first page , that left you completely speechless and had you sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next . Well Sincerely Thatcher Hayes not only did that but the whole series did that . There were also moments my heart felt like it was breaking and then Jill so flawlessly put it right back together again . I just loved loved loved Thatcher and Pressly so freaking much they literally grabbed onto my heart and refused to let go . The angst , the humor , the witty banter , the off the charts chemistry, the unexpected surprises, the heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, the awesome world building. It has it all and so so much more . I am a sucker for a great single parent, second Chance , small town romance and this was the perfect blend of all 3
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is book 3 in the Blue Ridge Book Club, but can be read as a standalone. Thatcher is a bookstore owner and local boy turned veteran with some PTSD. His one true love, Pressly, has returned to town. She's back after a failed marriage with a daughter (who LOVES books) and inadvertently, moves next door to Thatcher. This story is about first love, lost love, self-discovery, and second chances. It's funny and heartwarming with me crying tears of joy and pain. This whole series is phenomenal. I need this book club!
I had the audiobook for this and the narration was fantastic! Aiden Snow is my favorite "military-esque" narrator and he was PERFECT as Thatcher. Amanda Stribling shined as Pressly, the girl next door, with her authenticity. It's like having friends and family telling you a story. 5 brilliant stars!
I first read “Blue Collar Crush” and that’s when Thatcher & Peppy meet. Do I think you can read this one without reading that one, sure. I do think you’ll have a better feel for how they are together and all that. “Blue Collar Crush” is 56 pages and IMO it’s worth the read. Okay, now let’s talk about this one. The first thing I noticed about it is its Dual POV but you don’t know who’s chapter it is until you start reading it. There are no names before the chapter and that bugs me to no end. However, there are letters in the book which I absolutely love. I loved the characters in this book so much. The novella was very young and fade to black whereas this one is adult and steamy! The steamy scenes did get a bit cringe sometimes but it was fine. I enjoyed the small town feel and the pacing of this book. There is a good chance I’ll be reading more by this author in the near future.
Pressly is back in town, and she and Thatcher have been avoiding each other with some degree of success. Pressly's daughter, Summer, isn't happy about all of the changes in her life, but she adores Thatcher and his bookstore. When they end up as neighbors, avoidance is no longer an option. There is also no denying the attraction that they still have after all these years. But there are lots of secrets that are waiting to jump up and surprise them. Pressly and Thatcher have great chemistry, and it leaps off the page. Summer and Thatcher are also really cute together. Watching them turn into a family kept me turning pages. There are also fun cameos by previous characters and some characters that I hope will have stories soon.
Thatcher and Peppy loved each other as teenager. They were supposed to meet up on her dads boat but Thatcher never showed and broke Peppy’s heart. Years later divorced Peppy moves back with her nine year old child. The chemistry between these two characters is still there and even though they’ve been avoiding each other soon circumstances change and they can no longer avoid each other.
I loved this story line. Thatcher is a veteran and takes up boxing so you get a little military and a boxing match in this story as well.
I listen to the audio book and the narrators did an amazing job! I love Aiden Snow! This was my first Amanda Stribling book but she didn’t an amazing job and I look forward to listening more by her!
What a cute fun story! I loved this little town and its inhabitants! Pressly is an impressive lady who is overcoming quite a bit. Between the ex, the house and the child she deserves a medal! Enter the handsome sexy old fling who she thought meant something years ago and she has a full plate! I LOVED Thatcher! He is adorably sexy and vulnerable! Plus he has enough masculinity to be in a BOOK CLUB?! What a guy! His desire to be back in Pressly’s life and try to do anything to get there is what all females are looking for.
I listened to this in audio. Aiden Snow and Amanda Stribling are the narrators. I loved them both in their respective parts. Soo easy to listen to and a pleasure to my ears.
Sincerely, Thatcher Hayes is the third book in the Blue Ridge Book Club series. This is the one I have been waiting on since I read Love, Lacey Donovan. Thatcher and Pressly definitely touched me in the first book and I couldn't wait to read their story. Their history slowly unravels and I finally find out what broke them up in the first place. I loved the humor, the witty dialogue and banter, the scorching hot chemistry, and the heartfelt moments. All the characters were wonderful and the storyline was fantastic. I highly recommend reading this book and the whole series. I look forward to reading Mia's story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
