Easy to skim and find relevant chapters on a specific aspect related to head injury. Most chapters provide an overview of the topic with a quick case study, description of outcomes/treatment, and summary at the end.
Because the book takes a broad approach to brain injury, covering everything from major strokes to mild concussion, the chapters tend more towards generic advice. The chapter on the structure of the brain is very detailed, but this is where I could have used less information. Overall, still a helpful resource, but probably most useful in the earlier stages of dealing with a concussion or brain injury, as an initial resource.
