This was a great read! Genevieve Lillian went through a lot. However, I feel like she should have paid Skyler and his horrible wife back for running her over with a car. That disrespect should not have been left unaddressed. Skyler forced his way into her life, took her virginity, made her fall in love and then just dropped her like a bad habit. And then his wife in a fit of jealousy hits her with a car? Oh hell no! Both of them should have been made to suffer! Bryson and his family were an accident and I'm not sure that she should have gotten off completely scott free for it but I understand how she did. All in all the book was very interesting from the first page to the last.
Enjoyed these short stories, and perfect for this Valentine’s Day season. Imagine running from unfortunate events of your past, only for it to come back full circle each and every time you feel like you’ve escaped. If you’re looking for a traditional love story, this is not it. But if you’re looking for a little craziness, murder and mayhem, this book would be right up your alley.
Well thought out and well executed. I didn't put the pieces together but when the connection was revealed, I was floored. This is one of Ms King's best writing. You don't want to miss out on this one!
This book was nothing short of amazing! I loved everything about it, I didn’t find out the stores were all snot the dang person until the 3rd story but I couldn’t stop reading this book. I loved this style of writing from Linette, it was different and intriguing.
2.5 🌟 This one was… interesting. I’m still not sure I fully understood the connection to Valentine’s Day, and I found myself trying to figure out how it all tied together. It did eventually come together, but the setup was definitely… interesting.
I absolutely loved this book. The plot twist was really good- I couldn’t put this book down to I was finished. Read it in one sitting. Well done Ms. King!
