The Beechwood Inn for paranormal beings is opening its doors once again, and the first event following the hiatus is a fairy godmother conference. When the godmothers arrive, I expect them to bust out their knitting projects and sip tea, while they swap recipes and sweet stories of their cherubic charges. So, when the sitting room turns into a defensive magic combat zone and a boot camp style obstacle course is erected in the manor’s backyard, I’m more than a little thrown off. Then the curse gets unleashed. It’s all hands—and paws—on deck, if we have a chance of saving the inn from the ravages of the strange and deadly magic. Luckily for me, I just mastered how to levitate a feather. So, I should totally be able to save the day.
Danielle Garrett’s paranormal cozies are simply the best! This is the second book in the series, and it’s packed with beloved characters from previous books. In this one, we meet the fairy godmothers, and let me tell you, I’ve always wanted a fairy godmother, but after reading this book, I’m not so sure. The main character, Blair, is a witch who can transform into a cat. In this book, she’s stuck in her cat form for most of the story. I loved the mystery, the blossoming romance, and all the characters. When I need an escape from reality, which is all too common these days, I can always count on a book from Miss Garrett to take me away. And let’s not forget her amazing audio narrator! 🐈 🧚 ✨
I reeeeeeeally enjoyed reading about Blair leaving to come stay at Beachwood Inn. The story was full of detail which I love to get fully emerged into the story. Kinda irritated that I had to stop reading to do silly stuff like sleep, and feed myself and hubby lol. I loved the love interest and sets it up perfectly for the next book!!! (they better get together in the next one!!! Ugh they are so cute together!!!) Sad the recap at the end felt so quickly but that’s probably me not wanting the story to be over lol but I loved the ending with the Christmas ornament!! Hope Blair is doing more magic and figures out how to change into a cat on purpose in the next one!!! I wonder if a certain black cat stows away with a couple on a out of town getaway and has a adventure with Blair!?!?
A meeting of fairy godmothers cause chaos at the Inn, and Blair spends most of the book as a cat. This wasn't bad, but so far I like the series with Holly and Adam more than this one (even though they are characters in this book).
Listened to it because I’m driving cross country and Book 1 was engaging enough to entertain me as I drove. Book 2 was not as good as book one. The story was practically nonexistent- so. Meh.

Mine: This is the second in the Magic Inn Paranormal Mysteries. I listened to this via Hoopla from my library.
Holly agrees to host the Fairy Godmother conference before the grand re-opening of the Inn. Their fairy godmother, Miriam, is delighted. There seems to be tension among the fairy godmothers. Celestine, the head of this group, is hexed and her wand is stolen.
Blair still has issues turning into a cat when stressed and is having issues turning back into her human self. Blair overhears two of the godmothers discussing a troubled charge. One asks for help in placing a block on the charge’s magic. When approached on the subject, the state blocking spells are never used.
There seems to be a lot going on: hexing of the leader; jewelry disappearing, Blair trying to learn about her abilities, which are extremely limited at this point.
Hoping the next book reveals more about Blair – her past and present. Maybe she can learn the root of her shifting, how to control it, and if there is a basis for magic for her. She may even find a vocation she would be interested in. I liked the interactions of the recurring characters. Blair is learning insights to the magical world while helping in the apothecary.
Disney Cinderella’s fairy godmother isn’t in this book! These ladies are gorgeous and one may be deadly. Before re-opening the Beechwood Harbor Inn, Holly agrees to host the Fairy Godmother conference. Blair, Harmony and Adam pitch in to make sure everything is perfect. Their fairy godmother, Miriam, is excited to have them there. However, a faction in the group causes turmoil. When the leader is cursed and her powerful wand disappears, SPA is summoned. Suspicions among the fairy godmothers flare while the Inn seem to be playing tricks on everyone. Brandon and Blair search for clues while valuables go missing and the fairy godmothers want to leave. Can the leader’s curse be broken and who has the most potent fairy godmother wand? Blair takes center stage in this story but all the residents of Beechwood Harbor, including the children, have a role to play in this fast-paced magical story.
Wow! This book was terrific! Danielle Garrett has done it again with a fantastic story, gripping plot, and amazing characters all combined to make a wonderful book! I hope there will be more in this series. I highly recommend this book. Note that it is a good thing to read the prior book in the series - Witches in the Kitchen.

💖 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 📚 Genre: Cozy mystery, urban fantasy
💕 Positives: * Loved seeing the fairies in action. They're more John Wick style rather than knitting type, which is interesting.
* The gnomes were a neat addition. I wouldn't mind learning more about them in another book.
* The mystery had a ton of red herrings, yet was limited only to the inn's inhabitants.
* Poppy made more of an appearance in this story, which was nice. Hopefully a book on the authors backlist will have more info about that character.

🌟 Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The setting is incredibly cozy and the mystery was intriguing. No murder, but rather a hex on a fairy and what looks like a curse upon the inn itself. Blair is a likeable main character with a mystery of her own, which I'm glad to finally have a piece of that solved. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
Blair is living in a magical in as part of a magical protection witness program, having since a vampire bite a human in book one. Blair is quite fond of one of the Agents but won’t let herself get attached, interesting to see the development between the two.
While waiting for that case to close, this story begins with Blair helping out the inn owners host a fairy conference, but trouble begins with friction between the two strongest members Esmeralda and a Celestine almost immediately.
They are supposed to lead by example but they squabble like children - not good. So things go sideways quickly with crazzzy magical shenanigans and missing items and strange things and people.
The novel is a delight that with action and vibrant characters that are engaging and intriguing, and the plot moves to an astonishing conclusion. The villain is such a surprise with a satisfying ending, and an absolutely worthwhile read
Welcome to Beechwood Harbor and the Beechwood Inn run by Holly and Adam. The inn is a place for supernaturals to vacation and relax. Blair, a newbie to the magical world is leaving her home in the mundane world and will stay with Holly who will help her to learn and control her magic. Brandon and Nyla, SPA Agents help Blair to move. Holly has agreed to open the inn and have the Fairy Godmothers Conference at the inn. Right from the start, it's evident that not all the fairies were going to get along with each other. Items like jewelry and a wand go missing. Who is the culprit and why? And what's happening to Blair? In addition to Holly and her friends the SPA (Supernatural Protection Agency) have to try to solve what is going on. I think you'll enjoy this book as much as I did. It keeps you guessing till the end.
I received this AUDIOBOOK for free. My opinions are my own.
Real Rating = 3.5
THE GOOD: Cute Characters / Interesting take on Fairy Godmothers / I didn't struggle to figure out what was going on, despite not having read the first book.
THE NOT AS GOOD: I found the level of detail a bit high. For example, a lot of time was spent describing the setting and interactions when Blair returned her key after moving out of her apartment. Yet it is unlikely that we will ever return to that location or meet that individual again.
THE BAD: Poppy - I really don't like her
Narrator: I like Amanda Ronconi, she did her usual excellent job, and she fits well in the Cozy Paranormal genre. / Audio quality was good. / The speed was a bit slow. I needed to push it to 1.5 (instead of my usual 1.25).
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fantastic characters and an entertaining storyline. This is a return to Beachwood Harbor and the enchanting historic house on the cliff above the harbor. Holly and Adam once again are running there hotel for magic talk and they have Their two children as well as harmony Hollys partner in the potion shop and a new guest a witch she didn’t even know she was a witch and to one day she was scared into transforming into a cat. This is the second book in the new series which occurs at least seven or eight years after divisional series ends. Read on and see what adventure Holly in there New crew can get up to.
It's like going home again. Well, it is if you are a magical creature, but it is truly amazing that Danielle Garrett has once again conjured a captivating series and cast of characters at Beechwood Manor/Inn, deftly weaving old and new characters into fresh stories that entertain. I love Blair and look forward to learning more about her as she learns about her history and her magic. Adam and Holly's kids add a compelling touch of child-like wonder and joy that brings a chuckle or a smile. Amanda Ronconi does an excellent job voicing the characters, and I cannot wait for the next book in Blair's story.
I'm back at Beechwood Inn and the fairy godmother's conference is in full swing. Holly has taken Blair under her wing to help her with her magic, but when a curse is loosed in the house, Blair loses control and reverts to her cat form. You would think that would complicate finding a wand thief, but Blair stumbles into the truth, some of it her own.
I love these books. The world build is highly imaginative, well written, and the characters are heartwarming. It's a quick read you don't have to think too hard about and Amanda Ronconi narrates, if you're thinking about the audio version. She's one of my favorites.
Well, Blair is still learning how to do the magic she just learned about. If there was a magnet attracting mishaps and mischief, Blair has that part of magic down pat! She is lucky to know Brandon well enough that she has the freedom to figure who did what. Blair stumbles around and breaks the mystery surrounding the B&B earning her a very special friendship with the Fairies and the Gnomes. This is an enjoyable page turner that is enjoyable as a stand alone book, or as the third book of this enjoyable series.
Fairies in the Foyer is the second book in the Magic Inn series by Danielle Garrett.
This is a great book . I really like the main character, Blair.
She is still trying to figure out her newfound magic. I also really like Brandon. There is something up at the Inn and I really love the different paranormal characters. The Gnomes and fairies are fantastic!
The characters are well written and fun! The mystery is really great and kept me turning the pages. I love the Magical Inn, can't wait for the next book in the series.
Well the inn is finally opened and the Fairy Godmothers decide to hold a conference there. Holly and Adam do their best to be the perfects hosts and have the conference go without a hitch. But as always that does not happen. Someone hexes Celestine and she becomes a figurine. Now chaos breaks loose and they have to figure out how to un hex her. Well, if you think I am going to tell you how they do that, you are wrong, I highly recommend you get this book so you can find out for yourselves how they do that. Ms. Garrett is a wonderful author and her writing is superb. Thank you
Blair is still staying at the inn due to her situation. She is still trying to figure out her magic. She finds out the in will be hosting fairies. Things go when crazy someone decides to hex one of the fairies. Things get worse when others seem to be suffering from another hex. Blair and everyone will work to figure out who the culprit is.
This was another fun read by the author. You will enjoy your time disappearing into this world with the newest character plus the familiar ones we already know and love. I recommend reading this.
Love going back to Beechwood harbor at the inn with Holly and Adam and family .re-opening the inn with a fairy godmother conference Blair is back trying to learn how to control her magic . A wonderful mystery and enchanting with twists and turns you won’t see coming .a really fun read you will enjoy this is book 2 of the magic inn series Fairies in the Foyer
Blair moves into the inn permanently, leaving Tacoma behind. She tries to work on her magic but is distracted by the fairy conference Holly is hosting. Tension is high among the fairies and it only gets worse as things go missing and the leader is turned into a jewelry box. Blair gets stuck as a cat (again!!) and things go down from there. But that doesnt stop her from getting to the bottom of it all.
I love being back in Beechwood Harbor. Blair fits right in with our crew. I cant wait to learn more about her history.
Danielle Garrett is one of my favorite authors, and I love all the books set in Beechwood. I was so excited when this new series began, and it does not disappoint! The first book was really good, but I think I might have even enjoyed Fairies in the Foyer even more.
I love getting to revisit Holly and the gang, but the new witch in town, Blair, is wonderful too. I'm looking forward to learning more about her history as the series progresses.
Great characters, a mystery that kept me guessing, magic, and Boots ... what more could you ask for in a paranormal cozy? Can't wait for book 3!
Blair has returned to the Beechwood Inn. She’s working on her magic but thus far lifting a feather is as far as she can go. The Inn is about to host a fairy godmother convention so magical alterations have taken place. However, the godmothers aren’t the cozy bunch Blair expected. In fact, constant turmoil is a better description. I loved this next visit to the Beechwood Inn and am looking forward to many more.
We were introduced to Blair in the first book of the Magic Inn paranormal mysteries now her story continues. Blair just found out she has some magic, and she turns into a cat to boot. But she hasn’t mastered either yet because of situations the SPA has asked her to move into the Inn. Fortunately, or maybe, unfortunately, she’s there when a bunch of Godmother Fairies are having a get together. Let the strangeness ensue!
Fairies hi in the Foyer: A Magic Inn Paranormal Mydtery
This is the second book I have read by Danielle Garrett. They were really good, I enjoyed Blair's learning about herself. I can't wait for the new book to come out so I can find out if Blair gets Brandon and finds out about her past. Thank you Danielle keep up the writing you are off to a good start don't ever quit. Writing is such a talent I have been reading close to 60 years and always love to have new authors.
Blair is going to help with hosting some fairy godmothers at the inn. What could go wrong?
A lot. Some diamond earrings go missing, Poppy the skull is still working at trying to scare her every chance she gets, something seems to be stopping her from making major strides with her magic and the fairy godmothers are not at all what she expected.
It's a pretty good book. I like her character, Poppy's character is unusual and the story goes along pretty well.
I am not one to spoil the book by telling you what is going on and what is so surprising or exciting about this book or the plot. But I will tell you that it is a wonderful cozy that Danielle Garrett has once again in this series as she has in her other series. She puts a spell on you so you just can’t put down this book once you start to read it. If you liked any of Danielle’s books then you’ll love this one.
Sentence one and boom I’m back, I’m immediately fully immersed in the book. Five stars just isn’t enough, this is a 10-star book! The fairy godmothers have arrived and magical mayhem has arrived with them. A great mystery with lots of twists and turns. And Bootsie? Aw Bootsie. He has some challenges to face in this book, as does Blair!
