They’ve proved it time and time again for as long as I can remember. You’d figure I’d be used to it, but that feeling, the one of losing someone you love, it can be unbearable. That’s why it’s easiest to never let people too far in to begin with.
It’s the cardinal rule that I broke with one look into his deep blue eyes. I let him in. All of him. His touch, his love, his secrets, his lies. I thought it was the fairytale that I never believed in.
I thought that we were soulmates. But how could he be my soulmate when my soul was broken from the start?
4.5/5 !! this book was so emotional and so amazing 😩 lo & kaden will forever have a special place in my heart. the quotes in this book though >>> 🩵 obsessed is an understatement.
this book was amazing 🥹 it had the perfect balance of emotional moments, romance and of course smut haha.it also included one of my favourite tropes, fake dating. I really didn’t expect this book to be as emotional as it was, the way Jess wrote and portrayed the topics that were dealt with in this book was amazing and very accurate.
the romance in this book was everything, so many cute and wholesome moments, my favourite was the tattoo scene 🫶🏼kaden was a hot, possessive, tattoo artist, like what more could you want from a male mc?? i also adored logan’s character and thought she was written so well. these two were truly soulmates and i had the best time reading their love story.
I adored everything about this book and I’m so invested in the side characters i can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
i think i might have melted and am now nothing more then a drop of tear. 4,5⭐️ you what, i almost didn’t know anything about this book before starting it, well i usually don’t read summaries and go blind pretty much anytime i pick a book but the reason why i picked this one is ridiculous. i was scrolling on instagram last saturday because i didn’t know what to read at that moment and i needed to find ideas on instagram. so while i was scrolling i just found a post about a girl showing the new package she got with goodies and a really pretty book. so i wanted it as well. i went on jess taylor’s insta and started to look, i was in love with her book. i needed it. i did all my search and found out is was her new book, and it was book 2. so i scrolled a bit more and after seeing a few informations about the characters and the tropes (and also please have you seen the covers ??) i couldn’t take it anymore and ordered the both of them. i don’t even know how it happened, i went on amazon to see if they had it, they did, for some reason i put them both in my cart and somehow i ended up buying them. so well now if you think about it, once i was done ordering it, i was stuck in the same place i was before. maybe even worse because then not only did i still not know what to read, but i just added two new books to my forever growing tbr. they came to days later and i binged book one all day. it was so good. yes this was all to tell you that the book is amazing and i love the characters so very much, i need everyone and their mother to read it now. i’m gonna be honest i was a bit uncomfortable at the beginning but it was all me, the book i read just before picking this one up was about two besties secretly being in love with each other for years and having to fake date, also it was closed door so that was something else all of a sudden. but jeez it was so good. i laughed so hard but also had my fair share of tears as well so yeah… the writing was so good and i just can’t wait to read book two next (which i can because i’m an impulsive buyer) ! so yeah i’ll read book two very soon and i’m sure anything else jess taylor will write, i’m gonna keep an eye out for her. omg i already miss logan and kade so much. and here we go. crying. again. yeah bye go read this book !
3-3.5 ⭐️ to say this was the author’s debut novel i thought the writing style was so well done !! i found it fast-paced and easy to read. i also liked how this was deeper than just a romance book talking about other topics as well !!
however i don’t think i was that invested in the actual romance between the two main characters. i found it too insta-lovey/lust and sometimes cringey. but i am excited for book two because i liked the crumbs of the next couple more !!
This felt like there was way too much happening in this!! It starts off with trauma right from the start so I was ready for an emotional read but it didn’t hit me right.
Giving spoilers because I don’t see any reviews with them yet and I wanted spoilers as I was reading 😂
Kade and Logan just happen to meet at a bar.. they have a strong connection from the first time they meet but she wants to resist cuz she has trust issues and survivors guilt (doesn’t want happiness). He doesn’t tell her that he knew her twin (lennox) in the past but he wants to get to know her. Then she finds out that he is her best friend’s long lost brother.. and they are forced to hang out a few times but she still fights the attraction (barely). THEN they fake date for a second because he has a random crazy ex??? Then all of a sudden they are madly in love just saying it to each other easily. Like no hold ups at all just in love right away 😂 I felt the chemistry when they first met but it still seemed way too fast when they’re both supposedly very closed off people with major issues ?😅
Kade kinda seemed like this cocky bad boy but I never got anything to back that up from him? I feel like so much happened but also not enough background or info on them falling in love?!
There is a lot of emotion and I could see why people could love it but it just didn’t work for me!! I was shocked at first when we found out Kade knew Lennox but I wished there was a stronger connection there or something? And I cannot believe that he kept it a secret for the ENTIRE BOOK. And the final journal entry 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ there was nothing from what I heard about Kade and Lennox’s encounters that would’ve lead her to believe that he is Logan’s soulmate???? I would’ve liked it if she had just mentioned how he helped her through until the end idk.
Kade said baby girl a little too often and this was way steamier than I was expecting 🥵
So many trigger warnings - school shooting, suicide, domestic violence, drug use/overdose, schizophrenic episodes.. these ppl got issues 🫣😅
I obviously liked it enough because I binged it in one night 🤷🏼♀️ so giving 3 stars. I really think the main thing that ruined it for me was the instalove feeling.

Guys this was beautiful 🥹 I must admit I’ve definitely not read a book like this before I adore Logan & Kade! Let me say first please read trigger warnings before reading this book as they may be some sensitive topics to some readers 🤍 right let’s start off with Logan what a sweet girl I love the friendships she has with all her friends definitely gives me found family vibes and I love how she’s so driven to what she does (ER Nurse) from the beginning I wasn’t too sure what to expect from Logan but the more I read I enjoyed also when you get to know her back story trust me you will feel for her because I did! Kade wow he wasn’t what I was expecting he fell for Logan straight away no questions asked and he’s a man who is obsessed you can just see the love he has for her and he’s willing to do anything to protect her I’m saying this again but I love the friendship he has with his friends too and Asher he makes me laugh anyways Kade had a story to tell as well and wow my heart ached for him these two have some deep back stories but it doesn’t take it away from the plot! Logan & Kade compliment each other so well this is a story where you have to read it to understand it and when you do you’ll realise how beautiful it truly is 🥰
Quotes I loved: “The girl may have the rest of the world fooled, but I recognize the darkness that she's hiding. It's the same one I carry.”
“This doesn't feel fake. It feels real, and not only that, but it also feels completely and utterly right.”
“In this moment, with the love of my life that she inadvertently found for me, with my fiancé, all I see is light.”
Tropes: 🩵 Best friend’s brother 🪡 ER Nurse x Tattoo artist 🩵 He falls first 🪡 Fake dating (kinda) 🩵 Found family
When I picked this book up, i didn’t know what i was getting myself into, but this book by far has been the best book i’ve read this year. I resonate hard with this because I too had mental health issues in high school but I was the older sister. I was always too scared to actually do anything but this book really shows how it would have been if I had and I’m very glad I didn’t do it. Please if you are thinking about picking this book, do it!
To start with, I found that the TWs weren't easily accessible within the book itself, and the description and blurb of the book really did not prepare a reader for the topics being dealt with in this book.
I also just found the books to be too slow but also fast paced at the same time. Like it took so long for the book to push forward, and once it did, we're immediately at the 'I love you' stage.
I don't like DNFing books, but I really just had to motivation or enthusiasm to continue it when there are other books I'd much rather be reading.
the ending was beautiful. i skipped all the smut in this book ngl i wasn’t feeling it but i loved the plot. loved the characters. i would definitely recommend the book, only thing that killed me inside was the male main character abusing the words “baby girl” but overall i enjoyed
Kaden and Logan have wormed their way inside my heart and have no plan of getting out anytime soon. Their love was so pure and beautiful it just had me swooning and blushing the whole time. I got so attached to them in such little time since I finished the book in under a day.
I haven’t had a book crush in so long but let me tell you this one was it for me. I shall make it my sole personality trait for the rest of the week, now.
The story was really emotional and although I try to stay away from these usually, I have to say I was so glad I read this one. The plot was interesting and touching, it felt almost private to the author’s life at times and after reading the author note I understand why.
More than a romance I’d say it’s a story about loss and how one can try to live with it, even though it’s a wound that will never completely heal. It left me feeling like I needed a good cry but I honestly loved it.
The last few chapters and epilogue had me holding back tears because that was so BEAUTIFUL. I also loved that the title and the cover both made so much more sense by the end of the book!
I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for her next books, I’m especially excited since the side characters were all so easy to like and get attached to! Calling dibs on King, just saying 🫶🏼
I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a book with the soulmate trope, a broody, dirty talking tattoo artist MMC and a strong and intelligent FMC with top notch spice, all the feels in the world and funny side characters who will have you yearning for more!
I’m in awe of this debut novel by Jess Taylor. What a beautiful and emotional treat to read for Valentine’s Day!
🥰 Fake Dating 💕 Best Friend’s Brother 🙇🏽♀️ He Falls First 🥹🥵 Cinnamon Roll—dirty talking—Hero ✨ Amazing Friendships 😍 Tattoo Artist
Right from the start, this story hits you like a semi-truck going 100 mph. Logan has been dealing with a lot, from what she went through when she was younger to losing the most important person in her life. She’s definitely not wanting to date, but the universe has other plans when she meets Kaden Pierce.
“Kade is a dominating force that my body can’t help but submit to.”
Kaden is immediately gone for Logan. His opportunity to get close to her roses when he needs a fake girlfriend. Only there’s absolutely nothing fake about his feelings.
“Don’t think for a second this also isn’t exactly where I want to be.”
The romance between these two was the absolute sweetest while also being incredibly hot—the best of both worlds! 🙌🏽 It was everything I wanted for these beautiful souls who deserve it all!
I’m hoping we get more books of the other characters, because they were some of the best side characters I’ve read. Their support and love for their friends was heart-warming to read about.
I won’t spoil more because you guys need to go into this kind of blind to really experience all of the feels, but wow! You don’t want to miss out on this!
2.5 stars, I don’t know how to speak my opinion about this book , at the beginning it was horrible like how they lost their friend and then nothing’s happen and then suddenly she lost her sister to suicide then kaden lied to her their whole time , like what is this?!, then she forgives him in like one week and after two months of his betrayal she marry him ,(and the female character was so miserable like girl you’ve got to move on ) she wasn’t cheerful enough i felt so depressed reading about her even if she wasn’t talking about something sad , and for Kaden he didn’t grovel enough after what he did to her like what do you mean she’s the one who came to him in the end and told him i missed you!!! I just can’t if I could see that this would happen I would never read it , and now I will explain why I gave this book 2 stars and half after all this ( first of all because their scenes together at the beginning of the book was cute ⭐️, and the second star was because of Asher he’s so charming and flirty and fun ⭐️, half star because of the tattoo *which was cute but also kinda miserable ) that was it I hope see this review every time I’m willing to read a new book.

The book was extremely fast paced, one minute we are meeting the characters, next they fall in love, it was a whirlwind, and I’m not sure I was a fan of it. Everyone needed to chill It was quite cringy, it’s like a competition of who has the saddest story. The characters were fine, they didn’t stand out as much but not much to complain about. 2.5/5 🌟
(3.5) i loved this book so much oh my goodness AND TELL ME WHY i just now got the title LMFAO. but lo & kade >> babies. (me saying this as if they aren’t ten years older than me)
“ You’re the light in my life. You’re the air that I breathe. You’re a part of me I never want to lose.” This book was so amazingly written and let me just say jess had me in tears
Tattoo artist Kaden Pierce and doctor Logan Grace are the characters of Jess Taylor's novel Forget Me Not, which is a forced proximity romance.
I had my theories about what had happened right away since Jess was teasing us and keeping us on the edge of our seats. And did any of my predictions turn out to be true? Not even close, but Jess must have known what she was doing since I never once had suspected anything remotely close to what actually happened.
This book, in my opinion, was a little too fast paced, which isn't exactly my cup of tea in romance novels. For instance, in one scene, Kaden and Logan had just met, and Kayden was already sticking his hand up her thighs to stop her from going on a date. Like hello, she's letting him do that after only meeting, especially in public! Also, Kayden and Logan initially pretended to be dating in order to get Kayden's ex off of his back, but after that, they completely forgot about her and never mentioned her again. Like, I never understood the where Jess was going with that idea.
Overall, this was a very interesting and heart warming book with just the right amount of drama! So proud for Jess on releasing her debut!
*Thank you to Give Me Books and to the author, Jess Taylor, for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.*
“Forget-me-nots. The blossoming flowers representing life, the falling petals representing loss, beauty and pain, the end and the beginning. It’s all there, wrapped in a beautiful assortment of flowers that represent those gone but not forgotten”
Tropes in the book: * Soulmates * Emotional scars * Dark secret * Best friends brother * Fake dating * He falls first
Prepare to have your heartstrings pulled in every direction with this heartbreaking but yet beautiful story. With every turn of the page, I found myself swept up in a whirlwind of emotions - from heart-wrenching sadness to pure joy. It's a rollercoaster ride that will leave you laughing, crying, and feeling utterly fulfilled.
I don't really have words for this MASTERPIECE!
This book blew me away! Fair warning, it deals with some heavy stuff, so make sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in. But trust me, it's worth it. Logan and Kade's love story is chef's kiss! It's steamy, but also full of healing and growth.
What makes this book epic is the attention to detail and how everything connects. Trust me, going into this book blind is the way to go. Look, I can't even begin to explain how much I loved this book without giving anything away, but just trust me when I say you need to read it. It's a beautiful story about love, friendship, family, and healing, and it deserves every single one of its 5/5 stars
I picked this up because everyone’s been raving about it. Honestly there’s nothing to rave about. Logan and Kade have 0 nada chemistry. They meet, they fall in love in the next 20 pages, and then they are lovey dovey. BUT idk how people with so many issues (believe me there’s a lot) open up and fall in love so easily. Also Kade keeps his secret idek what it is but oh well I don’t care. I seriously don’t understand what’s the hype.
blossoming beginnings book 1 logan hart and kaden pierce
this story was so beautiful and gut wrenching, i was instantly hooked with the tragic storyline and so intrigued to see how logan would heal. my heart hurt so much for both of these characters and the past they had in their pasts. jess wrote their stories with so much care and in such a beautiful way. i loved how lennox connected them and in her own way brought them together, it was such a wholesome part of this book.
logan was suffering so much but never let any one see, knowing her loss and what she experienced broke my heart. she is such a loyal, strong and passionate woman, the way she was with her work, her friends and eventually with kade was just amazing to see. kade also had his own trauma and to see him open up and let logan in was really nice. despite different situations they both have similar experiences with mental health and tragedy and just seeing them connect and build a bond was really amazing. their chemistry right from the start was beautiful and so strong, even before we knew their deeper connection you could tell these two were meant to be.
"what are you really angry about, baby girl? is it that i had my hands on you? or is it that you liked the feel of them a little too much?"
i do wish kade spoke up sooner to knowing lennox in someway, but i can also see why he was scared and don’t want to lose logan. i loved how there was this whole group and so many connections that made found family a huge part of this, im excited to see more from the group and learn more about them all. overall this book was super emotional, heartwarming as well as heartbreaking. i adored the way jess included lennox diaries as it added another layer to the book and tied in with the 5 stages of grief and how you get to acceptance.
‘kaden pierce controls every piece of my heart, just like she knew he would. i always felt like a piece of me was missing after lennox died. the missing piece was him. i was never his burden. i'm his soul mate, just as he is mine.’
"i love you, logan grace hart. more than anyone's ever loved someone before. you're the light in my life. you're the air that i breathe. you're a part of me i never want to lose.’

Where do I even begin, this book was just extraordinary and so captivating. Firstly I just wanna say how much I really love the cover of this book it’s just so beautiful 😍. This book deals with a lot of baggage and opening up to someone who has just about the same amount of baggage or more than you. I enjoyed the writing as it was not fast paced and the author took her time detailing the different characters emotions. I enjoyed reading about the main characters growth ,their acceptance to moving forward and being happy.
Logan/Lo is an exceptional character, everything that she dealt with, how she persevered through it all. The emotions she went through, learning to be happy , to not feel guilty, living for herself took a lot of time and I’m very happy with the outcome. Kade/Kaden is a sweetheart, I liked that he wasn’t your average brooding guy . He also dealt with a lot trauma and came out stronger. The author did a wonderful job explaining how he was affected and dealing with it. The MC’s are most definitely soulmates , they were made for each other and reading about their relationship flourishing was so good.
Another thing I liked was that the author not just mentioned someone but also detailed how they fitted into the story and the reasoning behind why Logan felt the way she did . I liked that in a nutshell we got to see what went through this persons mind and how their decisions lead up to some of the main points in the book. The supporting characters were also really good , it was nice to see the different bonds. I really really enjoyed this book and recommend reading it…
