I must say that I've read a few books well on marriage/relationships and this is one of the best so far. Not only was the content easy to read, the concept was simple and relatable and Dr. Stephens gave practical recommendations for each area/room in our metaphoric marital homes.

God is the foundation of course and my experience has taught me that He is the One who preserves our marriages. Too often as Christians we can overlook the pragmatic aspects of marriage and this book for me helped to put all areas into focus.

I highly recommend this book for all married couples at any stage in their marital journey!

Jamie and Kirk are struggling in their marriage but remodeling their home might bring them back together. The story was a good idea and I loved the actual remodel tips at the beginning of each chapter but I was frustrated by the inability of the characters to communicate with each other and the difference between what they felt for each other and what they said to each other. I guess that was the whole point though. The book is light and fun to read. No violence, no bad language, no sex.
