Earth has gained its second moon—an asteroid called Zenith. In this harmonious, hollowed out colony, sunlight radiates from the roof and warmth beams through its citizens. Lyra, a second-generation Zenither and a self-contained individualist, has waited all her life to escape the asteroid and settle on Earth.

On her way to the blue planet, Lyra’s documents mysteriously disappear, and she is deported back to her homeland. Her only solace is a rancorous, self-serving Earthler friend, Aryabh—a hacker whose dreadful past is intertwined with the totalitarian government of the planet.

Why is Lyra so desperate to leave an almost perfect world? How many plans will Aryabh concoct instead of confronting his demons? Before they unearth their idyll, they must determine their own role in their societies or end up never escaping their personal dystopia.

Unearthing Idyll is a magnifying glass over two contrasting worlds. An introspective literary science fiction that opens a dialog about social identity, collectivism, and what it means to never fit into a society.

Unearthing Idyll by Dhara Parekh is a futuristic novel where the two worlds run parallel to each other and open a dialogue about social identity, collectivism, and what it means to never fit into society. The introspective literary fiction pushed one to think harder and question their present as they read about what could possibly be in the future.

Earth has gained its second moon – an asteroid called Zenith. In this harmonious, hollowed-out colony, sunlight radiates from the roof and warmth beams through its citizens. Lyra, a second-generation Zenither and a self-contained individual wants to escape the asteroid and settle on Earth. However, on her way to the blue planet, Lyra’s documents mysteriously disappear, and she is deported back to her homeland. Her only solace is a self-serving Earthler friend, Aryabh – a hacker and a self-serving individual who wishes to escape the totalitarian government of the planet Earth.

Both Lyra and Aryabh wish to exchange places. But how long before they unearth their dystopia and come to face the reality that’s not as grim as they imagine it to be?

Unearthing Idyll took me by surprise. A novel that’s set in the future, where characters reflect upon the morality of their actions, where the grass looks greener on the other side but reality strikes hard once one comes close to baring the dormant within. It is a novel that kept me hooked not just because of how unflinchingly beautiful the plot turned out to be but also because of the brilliant narrative and engaging writing.

The characters were a mix of all shades. And emotions flowed in abundance. While Unearthing Idyll would appear to be science fiction, it deals with human emotions and their idiosyncrasies. It deals with their complexities as it raises pertinent questions as to how humans will be once technology seeps deep into their lives.

I particularly loved how the story brings out the beauty of Lyra’s relationship with her brother and that of Aryabh’s with Kenai, his roommate. It proves – love is the supreme power in the universe. In the guise of sci-fi, Unearthing Idyll nudges for self-discovery and love. Awaiting for the second part of the series!

It is not often that you find a science fiction book written by an Indian author, a woman writer at that, and this one definitely hits the spot.

The story of Unearthing Idyll takes place a hundred year in the future. Through Lyra and Aryabh, who are both unhappy in their worlds, the author invites us to think about how society shapes individuals and vice versa.

The attention and depth to each character are phenomenal, making you feel closer and closer to them as the story unfolds. Every single one of them are heroes of their own story. I have never wanted to meet a book character in real life so badly as I have after reading Kenai. The attention to scientific details is also commendable as all the technologies and phenomena described are well-researched and scientifically plausible (as far as my physics and engineering knowledge go). The author did not use the shield of scifi to showcase anything surreal, but rather decided to go out of her way to create a sense into a fictional world, making it feel even more relatable.

This book will not just make you think, but take you on an emotional ride right from the first chapter. A must-read!

The best thing about this book is that it's unique and refreshing. It doesn't remind me of anything and that's hard for an author to do when there are thousands of books written every year, with thousand others already written in the past. Kudos!

Review:
A good science fiction debut and I am really excited for the next book.

The story sets in 100 years ahead in the future, in 2125. When Earth has his second moon - Zenith. And Lyra who is a second generation citizen of Zenith wants to settle in Earth. And she even leave her homeplace for Earth too lying her father. But after landing, She finds out her documents are missing and without them she can't stays there, so Lyra has to go back. But she never lose her desire and we go on this journey with her to see if she can comes back again and how far she will go for it and also why she likes to leave her beautiful home.

As it's been long for me to read a proper science fiction, it takes me time to get into the story. But the author's writing style and the simple way she introduces the world also helps me to understand fast.

The story is really fascinating. And both the characters, Lyra and Aryabh are also well developed. Their personality, their struggles, find their place in the society are interesting to read.

So overall it's a good self discovery story weaving in science fiction background. Which I definitely would like to recommend.

Unearthing Idyll by Dhara Parekh is a stunning example of science fiction that doesn’t just tell a story—it immerses you in a world that feels both familiar and fantastical. The book captivated me from start to finish, offering everything I want out of a science fiction novel without ever becoming pretentious or overly complicated. Dhara Parekh has crafted a narrative that is as emotionally resonant as it is intellectually stimulating, making it an easy five-star read.

Character Development and Arcs

The characters in Unearthing Idyll are wonderfully complex and relatable. Lyra, the protagonist, is a self-contained individualist whose journey of self-discovery is both compelling and authentic. Her character arc, as well as that of Aryabh, her Earthler friend, unfolds in a way that feels deeply earned and true to the story’s events. The growth of these characters is one of the novel’s standout features, with both of them navigating their personal struggles in ways that resonate powerfully with the reader. The side characters, too, are memorable, particularly Kenai, who adds a delightful layer to the story, and Lyra's relationship with her brother, which is beautifully portrayed.

Plot and Themes

The plot of Unearthing Idyll is masterfully woven, with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Some were anticipated, while others took me completely by surprise, but all of them served a purpose in advancing the themes of the novel. The story expertly flips between the contrasting worlds of Zenith and Earth, offering a rich perspective on what it means to be part of a society and the feelings of alienation that can accompany it. Parekh uses these settings to explore themes of social identity, collectivism, and the imbalance of power within societies. The novel speaks to how these societal structures shape individuals and their worldviews, and how even in seemingly perfect environments, internal discontent can persist.

World-Building and Writing Style

Dhara Parekh’s world-building is another highlight of Unearthing Idyll. The colony of Zenith, with its second moon and harmonious society, is vividly imagined and grounded in internal logic that feels almost scientifically plausible. This approach is refreshing in a genre that often leaps so far into the future that it disregards the need for explanation. Parekh’s writing is both beautiful and precise, enhancing the immersive quality of the world she has created. The imagery she uses is not just decorative but integral to the themes and emotional impact of the story.

Emotional Impact and Final Thoughts

Emotionally, Unearthing Idyll is an engaging ride. The book explores deep themes of self-discovery and the realization that one’s environment, no matter how perfect, cannot always ensure happiness. It’s a story that makes you think about the ways in which society molds us, for better or worse. The found family dynamics, moments of betrayal, and underlying angst all contribute to the rich emotional tapestry of the novel. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience, thanks in large part to Dhara Parekh’s distinct voice and storytelling style.

In conclusion, Unearthing Idyll is a standout work of literary science fiction that I highly recommend. It’s a thought-provoking, beautifully written book that will linger with you long after you’ve turned the last page. I sincerely hope this is just the beginning of more stories set in this incredible world. Special thanks to Dhara Parekh for providing me with an ARC of this remarkable novel—I look forward to seeing where her imagination takes us next.

Unearthing Idyll by Dhara Parekh is one of the most underhyped and incredible books of the year. This novel can be described as literary science fiction but stands out for so much more than its genre label. It is a profound exploration of belonging, friendship, and the nature of dystopias and utopias.

The story follows two captivating characters: Lyra, a neurodivergent, aroace woman living on the Asteroid colony of Zenith, and Aryabh, a human trapped in a dystopian Earth. Lyra has always felt stifled by Zenith, while Aryabh, who has endured lifelong trauma, believes his only chance for survival lies in escaping to Zenith, no matter the cost. Their contrasting yet parallel journeys create a dynamic and deeply emotional narrative.

What struck me most about Unearthing Idyll is the unmatched characterization. Much of the book unfolds through dialogues, letters, and the inner thoughts of the characters, which allows for an intimate and rich portrayal of their emotional landscapes. The representation of neurodivergence, particularly Autism, is handled with incredible care and nuance. Lyra and her brother, Sagan, while never explicitly labeled as Autistic, are undeniably Autistic-coded, and their portrayals feel both authentic and refreshing. I found it especially rewarding to see not just one but multiple Autistic-coded characters, each with distinct support needs and personalities.

The aroace representation is equally powerful, on-page and addressed multiple times, adding further depth to Lyra’s character. It’s rare to see aroace identities explored so openly in fiction, and Parekh handles this with grace, ensuring that it becomes a key element of the narrative rather than a passing detail.

The pacing of the book keeps you hooked, but the emotional intensity truly ramps up in the latter half. By the time I hit the 70% mark, I was so engrossed that I found myself cursing out loud in response to the characters’ struggles. The ending is utterly gut-wrenching—brave, gritty, tender, and heartbreaking in equal measure. It left me both devastated and in awe of Parekh’s storytelling.

In short, Unearthing Idyll is a bold and beautifully crafted novel that deserves far more attention. It offers a unique, richly layered narrative that will resonate deeply with fans of speculative fiction and those seeking authentic, heartfelt representation of neurodivergent and aroace identities. Everyone needs to read this book, if only so we can all talk about it! Highly, highly recommend.

Set a 100 years from now, Unearthing Idyll brings to life a universe that is part dystopian and part utopian. This is the story of two contrasting worlds and two characters who are trying to escape their reality and find their rightful place in the larger scheme of things.

Although I am not a big sci-fi reader, this book was a gorgeous, effortless read with an excellent story and memorable characters. The science here is immediately interesting, plausible, and easy to understand. The novel is also brazenly political, and has the distinctive richness of Indian culture at its center. While the protagonists Lyra and Aryabh search for belonging, food, language, and rooted ways of living begin to offer unexpected, radical answers.

This book is written by a brilliant Indian woman, but there is a lot more it delivers in terms of representation. Queer, multi-cultural, introverted, loners, misfits — it would be hard not to find yourself in one of Dhara's many vivid and carefully developed characters. There are as many emotional truths unearthed on their journeys as there are larger collective answers.

Pick this book up for the story, you'll stay for the characters, and be left contending with your own stubborn dreams and hopes. Regardless of what changes or gains vigour, you'll be glad you read this one.

I just finished this book and while it is fresh in my mind, I feel I should review it. Dhara's writing is a comfort. She blends together compelling characters and a simple story and yet at the same time he book has some of the most complex politics I've read. Aryabh's personal struggle and his character development from "I will do anything to get what I want" to "I care", and Kenai as an inclusion to the mix is sheer genius.

The protagonist of the story, Lyra (Lai) is timid and yet determined. She is an embodiment of what you are capable of doing if you believe and I think in a world that clearly needs more strong women, Lyra stands out like a Prothean beacon.

I savored this book, slowly feasting on it, not rushing myself and this is indeed a book meant to be taken slowly, but steadily. It is a book brimming with belief. Belief in Lyra's dreams, belief that Aryabh is not just a puppet, belief that sometimes a man can change if grandmothers and their cooking is given to them when they are feverish.

Last but not least, Lyra's brother Sagan deserves recognition as the typical misfit and intelligent boy whose heart shows in ways and forms that will surprise all of us as we embark on this journey.

Unearthing Idyll is not a book, it is a look at life as it should be, as it isn't, as it can be and it ends with that one thing we all need- the hope that things will be better, that dreams do come true.

After turning the last page, the only quote that I could think of is the one I've taped to the wall of my room "I think I do not want to die is because of the things I hope will happen."

That is all. Dhara, whatever you do, don't stop writing. This is what you can evoke in your readers!

Humans will always find a way to feel suffocated in the world they live. We are designed to believe there is always a better place than the one we are in. There isn’t.”

Unearthing Idyll by Dhara Parekh is the first book in her new Asymptote Universe. Primarily a sci fi novel, it's also a fascinating exploration of emotions; the complex nature of wants and desire, of freedom and happiness.
The story combines Sci-Fi with a thought provoking story that will captivate you till the end.

Set around 100 years in the future, the story is set on an Asteroid called Zenith, which is now colonised by Humans. Lyra, is a second generation citizen of Zenith who wants to settle in Earth. But as she comes close to realising her dream, her documents go missing and without them she can't stays there, so Lyra has to go back. Meanwhile, Aryabh who is living under a tyrannical government on Earth wants to escape Earth and reach Zenith. Unwittingly the paths of Lyra and Aryabh are set to collide. Will Lyra and Aryabh be able to achieve their dreams?

Right from the start, the story creates a futuristic world with contrasting lives of the two protagonists, Lyra and Aryabh. While Lyra is living in a utopia, Aryabh is living on Earth in a totalitarian society. The story explores the reasons why both Lyra and Aryabh are so desperate to leave their worlds.

Can we escape a world we don't find fit in? Can we find the true happiness we seek in a world beyond our own? Does material prosperity mean more than freedom? Though both Lyra and Aryabh are traversing different paths to their utopia, where is this Idyll that they are seeking to unearth? The story seeks to find answers which will resonate with many.

The writing is excellent and the world building is superb. The author is able to create two constrasting worlds. The characters are well crafted, each with strengths & weakness. The writer was able to bring out their struggles, their inner turmoil and their motivations. The story ends on an intriguing note and you wonder if you will know more in the next book in the series.

Overall, Unearthing Idyll is a fascinating and introspective read which will stay with you for a long time.

Unearthing Idyll is not your average contemporary science fiction novel. In fact, it’s safe to say this book subverts expectations of what modern science fiction seems to have become. You won’t find dozens of alien races and inter-species love affairs. There are no battles between space armadas or last-minute rescues by scruffy interstellar pirates. What you will find is a deep, thoughtful exploration of what it means to be human by an author who takes the time to go fully into the psyches of the two main characters.

Lyra and Aryabh live in two different worlds, both literally and figuratively. Lyra - named after the constellation - lives inside a huge asteroid that fell into Earth’s gravitational pull and became Zenith, the second natural satellite. Aryabh lives on Earth following something called the “Political Fumigation” which completely altered human society. They couldn’t be more different, but they each have the same dream - to leave where they are and “escape” to the opposite world. They are, in the author’s words, “Two misfits trying to find their place.”

If you enjoy a book that makes you think, that delves into what it means to be a part of (or apart from) society, this book is for you.Unearthing Idyll

"Unearthing Idyll" is a captivating science-fiction novel that takes readers on a thrilling journey through the Asymptote Universe. Set in a future where humanity has colonized the stars, the story follows the adventures of a group of explorers who uncover a long-forgotten planet that holds the key to the universe's mysteries.
The author, Dhara Parekh, has done an excellent job of creating a complex and fascinating universe that feels both familiar and entirely original. From the intricate details of the various planets and cultures to the intricate relationships between the characters, Parekh has clearly put a lot of thought and care into building this world. The characters themselves are well-drawn and memorable, each with their own unique personalities, motivations, and flaws. As the story progresses, we get to know them more intimately, and their struggles and triumphs become all the more impactful. The pacing of the book is also spot-on, with the action and suspense building steadily throughout until the explosive finale. And even as the book concludes, Parekh leaves plenty of room for further exploration and development in future installments of the series.
Overall, "Unearthing Idyll" is an excellent start to what promises to be an exciting and rewarding series. If you're a fan of science fiction or space operas, this book is definitely worth checking out.

2024 has been the year of discovering I really enjoy sci fi novels, and the concept of this one completely intrigued me!

This split POV novel focuses on Lyra and Arybah and is set about 100 years in the future. Arybah is an Earthling still living on Earth, whereas Lyra lives on an orbiting asteroid called Zenith and is eager to visit the blue planet someday.

I loved learning about the creation of this asteroid colony and how it all began. The changes to Earth, technology, and human society over the next hundred years that occurred in this book were really eye opening and at times horrifying.

I thought it was awesome that Lyra was asexual as I’ve probably only read one other book in my lifetime that included an asexual character. The representation did not go unnoticed! I also thought the overall themes of humanness, connection, and belonging were really well executed throughout the book and this helped me connect with both main characters on a deeper level.

This book was “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side” personified. I empathized with all of the characters as they tried to make the best of their subpar living conditions and lack of personal freedoms.

I loved this story so much! I’m so glad it’s the first in a series because that ending has me DYING to know what happens to Lyra next! Looking forward to book two!!

I have read Sci-fi books before but this one is one of the best I have come across till now. The cover photo is very attractive and reading it was really a great experience for me.

The writing skills of the author are flawless and she has tried her best to keep the book captivating all the time and she was successful also because I kept reading it till I suddenly saw that the book is finished. I just couldn't put it down. I really loved the Storytelling. The plot twists were absolutely in place without any excess drama and I really enjoyed the character development of Lyra and Aryabh. They grow so much together.

Not just the protagonist, I feel that all the characters were very well-written. The world-building was really nice and I loved reading about the future. I could visualise myself 100 years ahead in the future through this book. I will definitely recommend this book to all Sci-Fi lovers.

Unearthing Idyll is a different kind of book. The genre is science fiction, and it takes you to an entirely unique world while reading. There are many scientific instances, but it is surely enjoyable.

Lyra, a citizen from the second asteroid called Zenith, wants to escape her planet and go to earth. Aryabh is a hacker, the second protagonist. They are two unhappy individuals, trying to tell us how society shapes individuals and vice versa. The plot is set in the future.

The plot is excellent. I loved the way Dhara tried to create all these characters because writing a sci-fi book is hard. However, I want to assure the readers that it's not too complicated such that you can't understand it. My whole point here is that you will love the book even if you're not a hard-core fan of sci-fi. I'm eagerly waiting to read the next book in the series for sure. I want a paperback next time as well, because I am lucky to be reading this in a physical copy.

Remarkably crafted novel with great world-building
Unearthing Idyll is a remarkable work of fiction that explores the complexities of human relationships and the society. The novel follows the stories of Lyra, a citizen of an asteroid, who embarks on a journey to Earth, and of Aryabh who is trying to survive under a tyrannical government. Both characters, as different as they were, felt extremely relatable. Even the minor characters were beautifully drawn, with all their flaws and vulnerabilities on full display. Unearthing Idyll is a beautifully crafted novel that goes much deeper than the usual stories. The asteroid in the book has its own economy, its own ecosystem, its own lifestyle, values, and notions, and even its own currency and time-zone! That is some thorough world-building.
Dhara Parekh is a talented writer, and this book is a testament to her skill and creativity. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a emotionally resonant read.

I finished reading this debut novel by Dhara Parekh, and my first question is, when is book two coming out? I cannot wait to read what happens next.

I met Dhara at a local book event. After hearing about her book, I purchased it, excited to read a SciFi novel by a fellow desi author.

The story unfolds in the future. About 7,000 human beings live on an asteroid orbiting Earth. One of them, Lyra, wants to escape her home, where she feels caged in the small society.

Aryabh, a man born on Earth who finds no future on the planet, thwarts her efforts to travel there. The author serves a gourmet meal, one that should be savored slowly.

I loved Kenai and Sagan, able sidekicks to our main protagonists. The author explores what it means to be part of a community and how it shapes us. Most importantly, she has created a fantastic world and realistic characters. Looking forward to spending more time in her world.

🌄 UNEARTHLY IDYLL 🌄
By Dhara Parekh

'Unearthly idyll’ is the most charming book I have read recently. It bundles some very loveable characters as part of a nice sci-fi story.

The writing is very good and the descriptions of the sci-fi, atmospheric events evoke excellent visual imagery. Lyra & Aryabh are absolutely lovely characters, as also Sagan. The book refers to many concepts you would find in mainstream science fiction books but does not devote much space in context settings to make it appear to be credible science. While I suppose middle graders will also appreciate it, it is ideal reading for teens and well – also adults!. This is a slightly bigger book than I would have expected for the storyline, but the pace is very good, and I was engrossed from start to finish.

A lovely book which I am sure most will enjoy reading! Strongly recommended!

With the backdrop of Science and Technology we met two characters yearn to disappear into one another's
worlds.
Grass is always greener on the otherside.Right?

The year is 2125, and a small number of people
have colonised Zenith, an Asteroid. Aryabh wants to travel from Earth to Zenith,
whereas Lyra, who lives on the Asteroid, wants to
go on Earth.

However they had to stay back and then the story unfolds Self-discovery,Realisations.
Also a lot of elements that are usually disregarded due to Societal constraints.

I liked how the author used a coherent language to address so many emotions.
It was interesting to read how all the aspects amalgamated .
If you are someone who likes Sci-Fiction yet interesting read,go for this one.

Give this one a read and thank me later.

Unearthing Idyll tells the story of two characters who want to escape into each other's worlds. It is set in 2125, when a few thousand humans have colonized an asteroid called Zenith. Lyra, an inhabitant of the asteroid wants to travel to Earth, while Aryabh wants to make the opposite journey from Earth to Zenith. Over the course of the story they both discover aspects of their worlds, of each other and of themselves that ultimately make them see their choices in a very different light. In Unearthing Idyll, the author shows her skill in creating the psychological worlds of her characters, and in creating drama by making those worlds crash against each other. This is a story of self-discovery in the guise of a science fiction novel.

The storytelling is clear and interesting at times, the characters well thought out. However, several tones don't hit the mark:
The worldbuilding is murky and confusing at times.
The first several chapters are all exposition.
The author's voice comes through in narration, often as lecturing the reader.
The POV shifts way too much, as if the author couldn't decide if she wanted us to get close to the characters or remain omniscient. This created an unnecessary distraction in most scenes.

Overall, the author is clearly a well organized storyteller, but her story suffers from too much exposition and not enough editing. I would stick to reading whatever her most recent works are because her debut needed a few extra hours in the oven.

I loved this book! I loved the characters of Lyra and Aryabh! They come into their person and grow so much as characters thru this entire book. I loved hearing about the Asymptote universe and also the beings and people that live in this universe. What an interesting way to introduce the series! I love a good world building, and this book has that and more! I can honestly say that the book was well written and also I was surprised at the ending being a cliffhanger, but I do love a good cliffhanger;) It makes the readers want to know what happens next, and I know I for one, will be continuing to read this series when book number 2 comes out soon, hopefully!

Someone is going to make this book into a Netflix or HBO series. It is so well written and developed that I was sucked into its world immediately. Science fiction is almost always fun to read and this book doesn't disappoint on that factor but I challenge you to not be moved by the characters and their struggles. The slice of life you get from Lyra and Aryabh will bring you to consider what it means to be an outsider in society and our desire to belong. You will think about the story long after you put it down. You will see parallels to your own reality because the author has the ability to move you with her words. This is going to be a series? I'm in!

Unearthing Idyll by Dhara Parekh is such an exciting book. The plot is unique and set in a ûengaging and different background. It is rare to find a book of this genre from an Indian Author.

The story and almost all it's characters are written well. The book is well paced. Also it being a sci-fi novel the very detailing and explanation to each and every scientific aspects by the author have made it more intriguing to read.

New author but very nice read!
Interesting future/dystopian premise and realistic character growth. I usually am able to predict where the story is going, but the author took me for a ride!

While I originally thought that the story will follow Lyra, it actually focused on Aryabh more and I'm glad it did! Having Lyra doing things in the background that only came to light near the end was one of the best plot twists I've seen in recent memory, and it all makes sense and fits the characters!

I look forward to the author's sequel and I hope it doesn't take as long!

Lyra and Aryabh both these characters grow so much throughout the book. This is not my typical book I normally read, and I could tell by how long it took me to get into the book. The book is written well with the needed information about the people and the planets. I did enjoy reading this book and do recommend it to people who enjoy this genre. This book does leave off at a cliffhanger. I will be waiting for the second book to come out so I can continue Lyra and Aryabh’s stories.

❄️ Have you ever imagined what life would be like if you were not on planet Earth, but rather were living on another planet? Well, this is quite a futuristic thought. Unearthing Idyll is based in a futuristic era where the story is mainly based in the year 2125. Lyra, the main protagonist, resides on the second moon of Earth called Zenith. However, she hopes to settle on Earth.

❄️ The story gets interesting with the introduction of the second main character - Aryabh. He is an Earthler who wishes to shift and settle down in Zenith. Intriguingly, both main characters are fed up with their world and its functions. They find restrictions and limitations on their respective planets. The two happen to get in touch with each other due series of fascinating events. Their conversations become the highlight of the story for me.

❄️ What didn't sit well with me was the pacing. At times the story felt a bit dragged.
However, the plot kept me curious to know more. The story ends at a cliffhanger, clearly leaving an opening for a second book in the series. The writing style is simple. Great detailing such as including different fonts and narration styles like the little news sections, added a nice element to the story.

❄️ Overall, this is a simple read with a nice plot. The characters are relatable; their courage and commitment are commendable. I was rooting for them the whole time. It was fun to read how their relationship and understanding progresses.

Unearthing Idyll, a literary sci-fi novel, is a story where the imagination of unknowns brings two individuals together, but from two different worlds.Have you ever imagined a futuristic time where humans have settled in space? Look no further and dive into this novel. Earth is not only the planet that we can live in, but humans have migrated to Zenith in this futuristic world.

Lyra and Aryabh, the main characters of this novel, are ambitious, feel stuck, and want a new life. Both of them are also affected by their life circumstances and struggle hard to be themselves. They could be any of us. The world building of this book is so imaginative, and I loved it. With a lot of reference to Orwell's 1984, there's a rawness to the characters, which make them very real. Sagan is so cute, though he is so smart. Zenith's world is something I keep imagining in my head. I really enjoyed this book and will be waiting to read more of this universe.

Thank you to the author Dhara Parekh for a gifted copy of this book.
